81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto X Change - What would YOU the community like to see and join us???? on: February 05, 2012, 11:15:17 PM
Hi,

I would like to know why the mtgox usd code withdrawal has been removed from cryptoxchange?
Now, the way to go from crypto to mtgox is bitinstant, with slightly higher fees, but that fees hurts during arbitration.

I think you need to get back those withdrawals and remove the fees for mtgox code deposits.

Hi, Very sorry yes we are waiting on our limits to be lifted at MtGox. We are waiting for withdrawals to be lifted as we have hit our limits.

Shouldn't be too long now.

Does your mobile identification not work?

Think I have been waiting for that sms for over 2 hours now Tongue

Hi Yes, it's basically instant have you put in with your country code? That would be the problem.
Let us know if you don't have any luck.

Thank You

Australia for all intents and purposes really is just an island with some sub-standard submarine links - ideally it would be nice to move the servers somewhere else (USA, Japan, or Europe?) because for me even a high speed link in the US still results in slow loading of your site.

Yea, same here. It is not a huge issue for me, but sometimes I can get annoyed when the site just hangs and nothing really happens :/

Keep up the good work though. I find the interface a lot more friendly and soothing than MTGox and TH etc...

Hi Nicolai & Vampire,

Yes we are very sorry about the sluggishness, we are working on a solution to make it lightening fast everywhere. Our main infrastructure etc has to be here in Australia, however the methods / options we are looking at to speed it all up, shouldn't be long now. Were very happy you like it Smiley

Also the Dwolla withdraw is also at the top of the priority list, which has grown hugely since all of this feedback which is perfect.

Our Ultimate goal is to have the exchange exactly how you guys want it to be, it doesnt matter what we think are good features or looks etc, it is what you our customers want and that's our goal is for everyone to be happy with an Exchange that the whole community can have input into what you want.

Thank you very much

1 think and I would join (rejoin) today.

Dwolla withdrawals.  I understand if you don't want to accept Dwolla for deposits.  Yes it isn't perfectly irreversible and that exposes you to potential risk.  No problems there.

Dwolla withdrawals expose you to no risk.  It costs me $0.25 on Mt.Gox.  I withdraw once a week. Funds are in my account in 2 days.  Also I have the "warm fuzzy feeling" of seeing money in Dwolla within hours (I know my money is on the way).  Dwolla now has option to automatically ACH the funds as soon as they are deposited so I don't need to do anything else.

Add Dwolla withdrawal option (your $5 bank transfer is great for those people who can't or don't want to use Dwolla).  If you do add it make it so I can program my Dwolla address into my account for 1-click withdrawals.  I would also like to see the ability to lock down my account.  Set a custom max per day BTC withdrawal limit (like ATM card).  If the optional lock down mode is engaged then removing it or changing any money options (new bank accounts, raise BTC limit) requires a 24 hour wait.  That would provide high security.  If I am holding $10K combined BTC and USD and USD can only go to my Dwolla account and BTC is limited (by the limit I set) to 100 BTC per day then I have limited my max loss to $600.  That would make me feel more confident to keep large amounts on your exchange.

PLEASE Crypto-X-Change give me the reason to leave Mt.Gox forever.  PLEASE I want to give you money.

Death & Taxes
Hi,

I Will try and address a few things in one post if thats ok?

Yes we will be Adding Dwolla Withdraw, as you know as deposit, way to risky. However as soon as possible this will be sorted out there are a few things we need to get done for this being outside of USA. Smiley On it's way though Sir!

RJK
Hi,
Yes we have an extremely fast connection & setup here, however Europe, USA and some clients in various places have said speed has been a huge issue. We are looking at options right now for this, we need to keep our main system here locally, but there are some options in which we are looking into right away to have maximum speed everywhere, your exactly right it's the terrible link from Australia to Overseas that causes this.

Hi,

We would like to hear from the community on what we can do to have you as clients?

What features would you like added? What do we need to provide to get more clients?

Any feedback is welcomed, we are here to provide the very best Exchange in the world.

We have many extra features coming out and continuously working on more features and services, however we want to hear from the community.

You guys have come a long way since your launch and I have a lot of faith in you however my suggestions are in line with many others.

Without sounding harsh, your fee is the biggest complaint (especially with fiat money transfer fees taken into account). I appreciate your business has costs, but the higher the fee, the less people will want to trade... and that means less liquidity. You'll appreciate that taking smaller profits more frequently would be better than taking fewer large profits.

Pro's: increased liquidity, smaller spreads, more customers and ultimately more profits for you.
Con's: less short term profit, higher support overhead.

You are in the business of trading, if you can't provide customers with sufficient opportunities to trade, then game over.

A fee structure which rewards frequent traders would be good. (Similar to mtgox's system)

My other suggestions are to add timestamps to the trade history page (and when viewing trade details). And also simplify a little. You have a huge amount going on in each page! The bottom bar is kinda annoying, especially when I'm switching pages a lot, I have to see them scroll across from the start all the time. Also how many people actually use the quick buy/sell buttons?

API improvements - I spoke to Mahin about this yesterday, he was very helpful in advising me about changes and providing general advice, however couldn't get to the bottom of my issue of trades repeatedly failing to execute when being placed by the API. It has happened again to me a number of times today and is getting a little frustrating. Order ids: 38355, 38357, 38359 and 38361.

The 'Market' tab. Looks like its not telling the truth to me... none of my orders appear on there!? On top of that, the bottom ticker says right now, 163BTC has been traded today (against AUD) however the numbers on your market tab don't match?

Hi Seal,

In regards to money transfers into and out of the Exchange $5 + even 0.6% is the cheapest global solution ever. Banks Charge $25 - $35 for this + the largest guys charge 2% and their bank charges 3% from what Ive seen and heard. We have BitInstant also which is a fast cheap way for US clients to get money in and also money out shortly. Unfortunately our cost is $5 + 0.6% which is from our Banking Partners and to ensure licensing is covered in every country, so we allow 25 Currencies in, 100% Automated, and Withdrawal - to 120 Currencies, so we have the absolute broadest range of money options. Deposits are 100% Automated also. We cannot take the risk of running without licensing, and using the proper parties to do so.

In regards to 0.65% Trading, we are about 2 Months late getting out our different structure which is very impressive and will entirely change the way this works will improve trading for every one, this is due out This week or Early next week.

Thank you very much for your input it is much, appreciated. If you have any suggestions on how to reduce the Fee's on Fiat but be able to provide the same Global network please let us know, but it is compliance etc, in which it costs. We are working very hard to get the fee even much lower, but please let us know if you have any ideas?

Our ability for customers to deposit from 25 different currencies around the world into our AUD or USD market for a flat fee of $5.00 without any wire fees or additional banking costs are our biggest advantage for clients all around the world, and our ability to also deposit to any currency or country for $5.00 as well

Thank You

Ken this is great, but you absolutely need to get the order book filled up.  It doesn't help me if I save a few bucks on the transfer but I pay alot more in wider spreads.  I would suggest a mechanism where you offer commission free trades if someone enters a limit order inside the current spread, and that order is filled by a new order.  you will have people jumping over each other to narrow the spread.

Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony,

This is happening slowly, we have now become #1 in the AUD market and have been #2 & #3 Place in the past few weeks a number of times with our USD market on Bitcoin Charts. This is why we are asking the community what else can we do, natural growth is happening which is great. We have had 0% Comission fees for the past week which finishes the end of tomorrow (31st Jan). We also have some more features and fee structures coming out by the end of this week which the community will enjoy.

Thank You Tony

The profits and earnings of an individual are his private information, and wise individuals would not disclose such information carelessly.

I agree 100%. However a business isn't an individual. How am I suppose to make an informed decision where to trade my fiat for Bitcoins if all I can see about them is irrelevant when it comes to credibility of being an honest exchange business? How can I not fear it's a scam and they'll run with the money because they aren't making enough profit to dig themselves out of the investment hole? How am I suppose to have confidence their volume is going improve if I can't see that their clientele is actually growing or that they have an ever larger deposit volume..

Yes I'm all for personal privacy of any sorts. Business however isn't personal, in fact it's very public. And the best businesses don't hide much at all. They don't have to.

Right now all my Bitcoins are on mtgox, even though I'm happy they finally show their entire order book, not just a 7.something% up and down from spot like they did for a while, I still have no idea how many active accounts there are, how many dark orders there are, I'm certain they are making a profit by now, so I know they'll keep running but I have no idea if they actually have the funds they are suppose to have, I don't know if their user base is growing or shrinking, if they are receiving more deposits or see more withdrawals, I'm very much in the dark about most things about mtgox.

But because I see the liquidity and I know they are in the black by now by a huge margin and probably aren't likely to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs I settled to keep my money there. That's right, merely settled. But I'm just yearning for an exchange that would show everything they possibly could to move my money there because I feel the more information I have the better decisions I can make when I trade and I strongly believe the more stable the price would get. That's right. All this volatility and bubbles are the results of people trading almost blind. If mtgox gave us full transparency there would be significantly less of that.

So right now you can't convince me to switch away from mtgox, unless you can be more transparent, their liquidity simply outweighs anything you could possibly offer, except that.

Hi,
We understand your concerns hazek, however in regards to Crypto X Change everything raised here is not an issue with Crypto X Change.
It does not revolve and was not built with borrowed money, we are liquid and are not going anywhere. You can see on our website for our Company Registration link, and do a company look up.

As mentioned we have taken note and will have a meeting about everything mentioned, and as soon as physically possible implement suggestions we agree with and that are required. Our customer base is growing rapidly, we seem to be obtaining many people that are NEW to Bitcoin, due to the fact we have online support. We are expanding support staff as per demand and putting more staff on as required.

Our volume is starting to grow, and we knew well before we started that it would take a lot of time and trust to build an exchange. We haven't just opened this over night this has been underway for nearly 10 Months now.

Our ability for customers to deposit from 25 different currencies around the world into our AUD or USD market for a flat fee of $5.00 without any wire fees or additional banking costs are our biggest advantage for clients all around the world, and our ability to also deposit to any currency or country for $5.00 as well

There are certain things business's can show and provide and other things are for the management to know not the public.

Says who? It's your business isn't it? I can't see how keeping your books as open and as transparent as possible would be something you "can't" disclose and would hurt you in any way unless you are running a bad/shady business of course.

You either are very naive, or you're some kidnapper or other kind of criminal operating in Australia.
Seriously, you really don't see any problem on making all your revenues public information like that? Really!?

It disappoints me seeing such thing here, in this community. One would hope that at least bitcoiners would understand the importance of financial privacy, banking secrecy and so on. But no... even them have already fell for the ridiculous propaganda claiming that those who search for privacy are actually conducting "bad/shady business".

The profits and earnings of an individual are his private information, and wise individuals would not disclose such information carelessly.

The kind of transparency you should expect from exchanges is upfront information on how their service will treat your money. For example, the "Surprise! Give me your passport or forget about your money!" thing is an absurd. A respectable business should let everything clear from the start, before you put your money there you should know which are the limits, when you may be required to provide personal data etc.
I've seen CryptoXChange been transparent about these issues in other threads.

Hi,

As mentioned before, people are asking for more transparency, we have been as transparent as possible. As we mentioned private companies don't disclose absolutely everything, IE even in other industries product purchase prices are not disclosed to staff and various things. We have taken note of everything mentioned and we are discussing the realistic transparency that is required, but anything that isn't necessary will not be.

To date, I hope that we have been as transparent as possible, Exactly as EhVedadoOAnonimato mentioned everything is made very clear upfront in our fee's, limits and everything.

We do not run any dark pools, or hide anything from our clients.

Thank You

When will Euros be traded?

Hi, we have recently been discussing adding a Euro market, at the moment everyone can deposit into the USD market for the same fee $5, with Euro's and 25 other currencies, and also withdraw to Euro's for the $5 without any wire fee's or bank fee's.

However we will add a Euro Market ASAP.

1) native support for deposits and withdrawals via Dwolla directly instead of through an intermediary.
2) have a commission structure that charges traders for taking liquidity but gives a rebate for adding liquidity to the order book. For example, charge 1% for taking liquidity and give a 0.5% for adding liquidity.

Hi sorry for missing this one.

yes we have something very cool coming out for this which should be before the end of this week!

It is different but a huge incentive for everyone Smiley

If I wish to transfer fiat Canadian or United States dollars in or out of a Canadian bank account to Crypto X Change what is the process and how long does it take?

It usually takes 24-48 Hours, it is the same for withdraws the flat fee of $5 to 120 different currencies.

Find a way to except and receive transfers from paypal, or the ability to use a credit card to directly fund the account.

Hi, yes we do have credit cards coming. We have it setup in our back end we are just awaiting our merchant / banking guys still, it was meant to be turned on January, however there is some delay still.

In regards to PayPal, if we are able it will only be small withdrawal amounts we have been looking into it and talking with them, and definitely only withdraw not deposit, but it is still not yet 100% certain we can do withdraws even, we were given an example by another company in the community who allowed withdrawals, and it turned out to be a nightmare with funds frozen etc. So these things need to be risk free to us. If we can do it, we will surely let everyone know ASAP.

The credit cards will be a huge thing, the customers will have to be verified with Identification etc for using those when the system is ready. We are waiting on a new ETA for the credit cards.

Thank you for your input!

Looking quickly at your site, seems like there's a lot of different features, clicked on the forum link and found this:

http://www.cryptoxchange.com/boards/topic/11/bad-customer-service

If that's a legit customer concern, it's odd it haven't been adressed for 21 days by you.

IMO, what the bitcoin community needs are services that are serious and that reply swiftly to customers with real solutions.

If you don't intend to watch over your forum, then don't put up one.

Sorry if this seems a bit harsh, as I'm sure you have a lot of good things going on, but customer service really is paramount to grow a successfull business. It strikes me as a little bit odd that you come on here asking what you can do to attract more customers, while I'd reckon the most important thing would be to take care of existing customers first.

Also I have a question for you: How many people are behind the exchange, seems like you have a lot of options and features, and if there's only two (?) people working on it, isn't that a bit too few ? Esp. for keeping up with customer service and everything.

Could you perhaps give a list of everyone working for the exchange, and a brief background of those ? Not necessarily full names if you don't want to disclose that, but it would be interesting knowing how big your team is, and how much resources you've dedicated to every aspect of your business.

And of course, since you've already been in business for 15 years with a successfull company, you know that in the long run it's patience and quality services that brings in more customers. So don't rush it. If you're promising and delivering on your promises, people will notice and switch to your exchange.

But be late on payments and customer requests, and you will be nothing but one of many troubbled exchanges.

Hi,
The issue was a cash deposit in which there were no reference ID's (In which the clients issue was resolved very quickly). We have stopped any cash deposit's via our system, and any cash deposit's in the USA are to be made via BitInstant.

We have more than Two people working on the exchange, and all support emails and requests are attended to very quickly, our Deposit system is fully automated and works very well. We do have more staff that have started in various areas. The onsite forum we will take your advice and remove as this forum is where everyone seems to most actively post. We would like to note again, the clients issue was resolved quickly, however some one had not replied to it however the issue was resolved via Live Support with the client.

The only problems we have had have been with the cash deposit's with BOA, which we specifically have asked clients to use BitInstant for this and our banking system for Internet transfers for the reference.

Thank you for your input, however every issue raised here we already are providing, and growing at a rapid rate.

I'd like to see a response to my customer support question! If you can't do that then I wouldn't trust this exchange with any money at all.

I received Namecoin into an address on CryptoXchange. 3 Transactions are recorded on the Namecoin block explorer but only 2 show up in my CryrtoXchange account. I've contacted support twice now, 3 days apart, and still no response.

My namecoin are almost worthless but until you respond to my query and explain what happened to the Namecoin deposited into my account then you won't be seeing any business from me.

*** Non-existent customer service and questionable transaction integrity ***

Maybe those should be fixed before asking the community what else they want?

Hi,
We have not received your email, please PM us here with the information so we can take care of this or contact us Via our live support.
You would have had a response same day or next day definitely. So we are not getting your emails.

Why can't Mt. Gox open things up and allow use regular YubiKeys? Knowing how these work I'm not grasping their concept.

MtGox lock their keys down to only their service, I spoke to Mark about this because it would be much easier for everyone, IE I have 2 Yubi's for each exchange.
Mark said they were going to add support at some stage for the non MtGox YubiKeys, not sure how far away yet. These will work with our exchange and other YubiKey services.

Do you have the equivalent of MTGOXLIVE?  Can you prove that it can handle the traffic of hundreds of thousands of trades and tens of thousands of people watching?  Personally I wont trade another BTC on any exchange until I am sure I can see real time trade and order book data.

Hi,

You can see the order book in real time, the trade engine and system has been stress tested, and can handle anything thrown at it, we have done many simulations on it prior to opening.

As for something like Mtgoxlive, there is something like that in the works, we have an API with ticker etc, so people can make their own custom charting if they would like, there are still many things like this that are in the works from our team though.

Thank You

Are you not even going to address my suggestion regarding complete transparency?!

Hi Sorry,

We have been very busy. We will look into what you are saying, and have a meeting about that.

There are certain things business's can show and provide and other things are for the management to know not the public.

We are not a publicly listed company, we are a family owned private company. However we will discuss everything mentioned in this thread as far as recommendations, improvements and everything. But particular things, there needs to be meetings about etc, we are listening and open to all ideas and all of the feedback is fantastic.
