Excellent odds my ass. I submitted the initial request @ +600 (when Duke was a +2000 dog @ Bet 365). It was confirmed @ +102 in a tie game.

Please avoid this place at all costs. Though they appear to be customer friendly, their tactics behind the scenes are criminal. I saw a video posted on another forum that showed how they alter their odds and only offer one side of a bet at a time to make the house edge even more advantageous. It was crazy to watch the spike in odds side by side with the Bet365 odds which the video showed as well. It was like DB was offering 2 sets of lines. The lines would match 365's , and then all of a sudden they would take down the real lines and offer bogus lines.

So, tonight, I thought I'd check it out on the Duke vs. North Carolina game.

Keep in mind, this is a premier ESPN game - the biggest NCAA basketball rivalry. There should be odds on both sides throughout the game.

North Carolina took a 9 point lead with 4 minutes to go. DB offered UNC at -5000, and did not offer duke. UNC held a 7 point lead with 2 minutes left. Same story. Duke came back to tie it with 30 seconds left. The first time Duke was offered in the last 5 minutes of regulation was +102. Directbet would not take Duke action when it became clear that Duke was going to win the game. 5 lead changes in overtime, UNC was offered throughout overtime and Duke - again - was not offered.

Worth noting:

Licensed operations (like Bet365) have their favorite & underdog odds tied together, so that when they lower odds on the underdog, the favorite's odds immediately change in line. DirectBet you can actually get fucked with an EXTREMELY bad line since they don't honor abide by this standard.

Here's what these fucking crooks do. An example:

Underdog is at 5.0

Favorite is at 1.1


Underdog is losing 65-64.

Underdog scores to make it 67-65.


Directbet (they will blame the odds provider) will do the following.

Immediately lower the odds for the underdog from 5.0 to 3.5 (example - may not be 3.5, but close)

In some instances, they will actually jack up the odds for the favorite from 1.1 to 1.05 (yes - unbelievable, but this happens) before finally resting upon something like 1.15

Explain this:

If you are going to offer odds for Monterrey & the draw, you better as fuck offer odds for ALL FUCKING SIDES (365 has laguna @ 1/125 right now).

3 days ago I would have said the same. These past few days have been AWFUL. The games get graded as "won", and then sit and wait for settlement in a "settlement in progress" state. And yes, my bets have 1+ confirmations, so that's not the issue.

Then there's the whole "settlement in progress" bullshit. You seem to have no problem taking in our money instantly.....but when it comes to payouts, you hold our fucking money.

I'm not looking for a bet with no house edge. I totally understand that you need to have an edge for sports, which is more than fine. But, you are way outside of the acceptable vig % for most events. In some cases, you try to downright steal by offering odds on a player who is about to lose (which are nowhere close to what the real odds should be) but not offering any odds on the player who is about to win.

This is part of the reason why unlicensed betting operations are illegal. The book can do whatever they want and the customer has no protection.

How is this even remotely fair? This isn't even one of the "bad" ones. This is par for the course at Directbet for Live games (except for live soccer, which has fair odds).

You blame the odds provider, but you are the ones that pay them to provide you with the service. You also tell them how much margin to set between the favorite and underdog. You are price gouging. Also, only offering one side of a bet is complete bullshit. No odds provider in the world would do that on their own. Look at Bet365 - they ALWAYS have both sides of a match. Your odds are typically not even close to theirs for basketball, baseball, football.

A lot of Bitcoin Sportsbooks offered bets on the BBL basketball game. Nitrogen & Anonibet to name a couple. You may have had pre-match odds, but you did not have anything in-play (for ANY of the BBL games)....yet you listed them as live.

Because it's misleading, as I mentioned before. When you list an event, you are implying that you will have odds for it (because you usually do). What good is it for the customer to place a negotiate bet, sit through an entire game, and not have it picked up?

Also, I noticed that one of the teams (Newcastle) would intermittently "drop off". What's going on behind the scenes that causes this? Your provider obviously has odds available, but something is causing them not to be shown on your site.

When you list a event as live, us customers expect you to have odds for it. Your in play odds on everything other than soccer are juiced higher tha any other book. I'm willing to accept that, but don't list events that sit in the "negotiate" state for the ENTIRE MATCH.

LOL @ "as of this writing this bet is no longer shown".......wanna know why? Because the event ended. I had that screen open for the entire game, and it alternated between both teems as 'negotiate' and then sometimes would go to only Worcester as 'negotiate'. It was available until 37 seconds left in the match. Congrats.

It's classic bait & switch, even though I'm sure DB intending for that to be the case. It's like a store advertising a product that they don't sell. But, they sell a hell of a lot of other products. The problem is that when we, the customer, bring it to their attention.....they do nothing.
