works fine for me

Still down here, 403 Forbidden on two web browsers after dumping my cache.

ETA: I can reach the website if I use my cell phone as a wireless access point, but using my regular network gives me the 403 error. What might cause this issue? I was getting CloudFlare errors all day yesterday trying to reach the site.

Did Betcoin just peace out or what? This is all I see where their website used to be:

So they brought back the 20k krill freeroll, but still no 5k krill freeroll?  Bummer.

Not exactly. They cancelled the last 20k krillroll a few hours before it was scheduled to run, and then when enough people complained, they rescheduled it. But going forward, no krillrolls 5k or above will run, and there is no plan to reinstate them on the horizon (or at least that's what it sounds like from their "our silence has ended" post). Maybe someone from SWC could clarify, now that their silence has ended.

WHAT A SITE, the fact that they are  not removing Betsoft games shows that the are in cahoots with them.

Do confidential settlements pay out on bonus spins tho?

We wanted to update everyone with the great news after a tremendous amount of hard work by the Betcoin.ag Staff.

Jasonort Case Resolution

From the very second our great player jasonort came to us with his casino related issue, Betcoin.ag took immediate action working with the software provider to understand, explain and then complete a proper resolution of the matter. We were asked and chose to remain silent on the matter to the public because statements would only cause speculation which would not be conducive to what we believed would be a proper outcome.

[...]

As a result of the speculation however our reputation has taken a hit in this forum but we know that we did the right thing here and will always continue to do so. Throughout this entire circumstance jasonort continued to play at Betcoin.ag and so did many new and old Betcoin.ag players. We are very thankful for that.

What is this, a self-congratulatory pat on the back for Betcoin by Betcoin for engineering a confidential settlement to destroy any attempt at transparency while creating even more speculation and a shadier reputation in the forums? Bravo! You should be ashamed of yourselves.

"We are pleased to announce that we have paid jasonort enough money to not reveal anything regarding progressive jackpot irregularities at Betcoin! So, come to our fireside chat where he is contractually obliged to reveal nothing about the specific resolution!"

So, are you guys going to keep Betsoft slots on the site and continue to pay off players in confidential settlements if they somehow manage to beat the rig? If so, can I get a link to the confidential settlement pay table? Or are you going to take an honest, proactive approach like your competitor, Bovada, and get rid of Betsoft slots?

So, now that Bovada has decided to pull all Betsoft slots because of progressive jackpot "irregularities," is Betcoin going to follow suit?

If you go off information that you got in the trollbox, you can be pretty sure its inaccurate. for years people thought I was a fat broke mexican because of donk4u.

So, you're saying that you're not Mexican? Tongue

Honestly, none of the information that is posted in the trollbox is trustworthy, but neither are statements from any other anonymous player (such as yourself) from an anonymous poker site who is posting anonymously on a Bitcoin forum. That's why it's important that management make a statement in this forum, on their website, or somewhere else publicly accessible about what's going on. Right now, everything is just speculation and rumors. Sure, maybe some admin said something in the trollbox, but since they don't have chat logs anymore, how would anyone know 5 minutes later after it scrolled off the top of the chat buffer?

Also, just because they're not on here making public statements does not mean that they don't hear the complaints, and every one of your concerns has been addressed in the main chat in seals, multiple times. They know they fucked up by not running the 20k krillroll and have already said that they will run one soon with ample notice.

Wait, now you're saying that the trollbox is an accurate source of information?

I was told on the 27th in the trollbox that they would have the krillroll situation straightened out in some form within a week, but it's going to take a small miracle for them to make that deadline now. I also heard that they're rescheduling the 20k krillroll in the trollbox, but it's still not on the tournament schedule. Moreover, they haven't made any announcement about when it's scheduled, or even what the schedule is to reschedule it. They're using weasel words like "soon" instead of having enough basic integrity to take ownership of the problems they've created in the past week, explain how they intend to address them, and on what timeline. Their silence speaks volumes.

" If you re-read my post, you'll find I didn't criticize the site or anyone else about the rake hike, I asked for information."

that't not you asking for information, that's you claiming that the rake was raised by 200%.

This is the post I was talking about, obviously:

A lot of players have been complaining that in the tweet where SWC stated that the rake had been lowered, they neglected to mention that they actually increased the rake on tournaments. Has anyone heard anything about tournament rake increases or by how much it's been increased?

Sorry about the mixup in what the rake used to be, I was working off of the only information I had available to me, which is what other players were saying in the trollbox. Perhaps you could point me to the page on the SWC website that lists tournament rake information so I can verify for myself that the overraked tourneys have been fixed? I can't seem to locate it. Or are you basing your rake numbers off of insider information that can't be verified and isn't available to all players?

90  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 02, 2016, 07:16:01 PM
I've talked to a site representative and asked how much the rake was increased by- the 5 chip tourneys were never 4.9+.1, they were 4.75+.25 , the overall rake went up from 5% to 6% and a few tourneys were raised by 1.x % in error and will be fixed shortly.

please stop giving misleading information, I understand you have issues with the site, we all do... but it seems as if you're actively trying to criticize the site at any given opportunity even though a lot of your arguments have been disingenuous.

I'm here because I can't get information anywhere else, as SWC management has chosen to go radio silent on all the changes they've made to the site in the last week. All the speculation could be avoided if your "site representative" wanted to step forward and clarify the issue. If you re-read my post, you'll find I didn't criticize the site or anyone else about the rake hike, I asked for information.

SWC certainly has every right to raise their rake, but their players also have a right to not be misled and a right to know about rake hikes so they can make informed decisions about the games they're playing. If nobody had brought this up, those tourneys that were being overraked "in error" would still be overraked.

Do you know what's really disingenuous? Making a big deal on the front page of the website about how you are "lowering rake across the board" (which is what it still says) until a couple astute players point out that it's a straight up lie. You act like SWC players should just keep their mouths shut when they see something shady going down out of some misguided loyalty, but they haven't shown any loyalty to their players in quite a while, so I'm disinclined to sweep their dishonesty under the rug when someone catches them red handed.

it looks like it was increased by less than 2%. I don't like how they went about it and they should have made an announcement about it for sure.
it's still lower than any other site tho.

I think it's a little more than 2%...5 chip tourneys went from 4.90 + 0.10 chips to 4.70 + 0.30 chips = 200% increase.

So it seems like, of the 180 people online, 10 of them are looking to play (biggest game running: 20plo) and 170 of them are looking for bums to hunt.  That's a dead site.

If you actually played on SWC, you would know that of those 180 people, 10 are looking to play, 70 stay logged in 24/7 (but are asleep at the moment), and 100 are busto and begging for stakes.

Playing and not losing money in poker is long, frustrating journey.

I have to admit, Razzle is the expert on this...

if you decide that you would rather just enjoy the gambling aspect of poker without an expectation of making money

...and on this. Better take notes.

When Whitelime won 470 BTC he withdrew 400 the same day!  Congrats again to Whitelime on his big win:  https://www.betcoin.ag/betcoin-pokers-whitelime-wins-470-btc-10960514-record-bitcoin-poker-prize

When are you going to let jasonort cash out his big win of 503 BTC?

I feel like the remaining SWC customers have extended an enormous amount of latitude toward the current management with regard to missed opportunities, missed deadlines, lost traffic, reduced guarantees/loyalty programs, and broken promises that have plagued this site since its inception (Anyone receive a hat lately? HH still broken? Still getting your kings folded by disconnects? Android app/multi-platform client? Rebuy tourneys?). The nominal reason I have heard for the lack of advertising and new players is that the software is still too beta, and they don't want to bring in a bunch of customers only to let them down. However, the last big software change I saw was the addition of new chat colors and the site is slowly bleeding out (but now in crimson rather than red).

I am also seeing an increase in a "blame the customer" mentality where players are regularly and repeatedly chat banned according to rules that are vague and applied inconsistently across players. Players are told "we don't need your business" (or much worse, devolving into ad hominem rage attacks) if they express frustration with the status quo. It's extremely unprofessional, especially considering that players have a lot to be frustrated about right now and they do need the business desperately. While this hasn't been directed at me specifically (yet), every time I see it happen to another player it lets me know how much they value the handful of ride-or-die players that have stayed with the site despite its massive growing pains and mismanagement.

I get that giving away coins to freeloaders on bought accounts in krillrolls might not be sustainable from a profitability standpoint, but it's ridiculous to rip the rug out from under everyone without some sort of replacement program on deck, and especially a few hours before a tournament that runs once a month. I hear that we should expect to learn about the replacement program in the next week or so, but I've heard a lot of things from SWC that haven't panned out, so I'll believe it when I see it. It's hard for me to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point.

The only upsides that I see to SWC are that I believe the site is not trying to actively rip anyone off (ahem, Betcoin), they have some games that other sites don't offer, and I like some of the people who play there. However, in the last 6 or so months, a lot of players I like have given up on the site, gotten sick of playing the same handful of regs, gotten banned, or been verbally abused by staff to the point where they peaced out. A lot of the poker variants just don't run because the player pool is already spread too thin.

It would be great if someone from SWC management could step forward and let people know WTF is going on. The whole ghost management strat isn't working for me, and with the site in crisis, some leadership would be great to see.

I hope that SWC manages to pull through this, but I'm losing hope that there will be anything to save by the time they get their act together.
97  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: June 27, 2016, 07:34:29 PM
So... is there any incentive at all to keep my 120k krill account?

I don't think there's any rakeback for Open face which is pretty much all I'd play.

I may be wrong, but I think it'd just make sense to create a new account every time I wanted to play.

you still get more rakeback on higher krill accounts.
98  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: June 27, 2016, 06:06:57 PM
Some new freerolls on the schedule:

 50 Krill Freeroll
100 Krill Freeroll

with 30 minute registration windows

may give new players more incentive to earn krill

They also just took all the freerolls 5k krill and higher off the schedule, pending a new rewards program with no ETA, so not much incentive to earn more than 100 krill now except rakeback. gg

Hello Marlais,

The BitCon option is available for all customers unless they have a security block on their account, you can contact our sec dep at 1-877-314-4195 for more information.

Regards

I just contacted the security department at the above phone number and verified that there is no security block on my account. They told me that they are making some changes with bitcoin withdrawals, and in the meantime, bitcoin withdrawals are only available to "very old customers with good reputations" who have previously made many bitcoin deposits/withdrawals. They also told me that there is no estimate on when I (or the rest of the non-very old customers) will be able to make a bitcoin withdrawal. I again specifically asked if there was something about my account that was preventing me from withdrawing bitcoin, and he said that there was no security block, I had done nothing wrong, and my account hadn't been flagged in any way.

So, the bottom line is no bitcoin withdrawals, and no ETA for when they might be available again.
100  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Americas Cardroom Thread on: April 22, 2016, 03:59:46 AM
After they took away the BTC withdrawal button, I was told that you could still request a BTC cashout by e-mailing support. However, when I just asked support what the minimum BTC withdrawal was, they told me that BTC cashouts are no longer available, even by e-mail. Is this a permanent change?

ETA: I just talked with another ACR player who submitted a BTC cashout this morning. The rep told me that it wasn't dependent on the player. What's going on?
