just a thread fyi my cloud mining 1 year contract mentioned in my previous post just officially ended. final tally.... original cost... 1.00344165 btc ($449 at that time) total return... 2.899btc heres the irony .... after waiting 7 months with no triton miner shipped (original 9mh) i offered to settle for the $349 cost of miner, telling them they could keep the extra $100 "shipping charge" . figuring maybe i could get some of my money back. they refused and gave me the cloud contract instead. apparently the extra $100 shipping charge i paid covered my maintenance fees or some such nonsense. looking at the daily payouts it was quite obvious it was not mining proceeds. there were many repeat identical payouts to 6 decimal places. whatever man. they never missed a single payment. so long story short, thought i got ripped off, but now im up 1.9 bitcoin. actually turned out to be the best crypto investment ive ever made. imagine that. yeah i know.... im lucky. anyway, thanx hashcoins. be interested to hear from any other triton pre order customers and how you made out.
Congrats, this is what happens when scammers make a website or automate payments. They forget about it and some one ends up ahead. I had a similar thing happen to me with BFL

Why is it taking so long for the second production run? Are you guys that got the first run happy with the product?
I would say I am satisfied with my wallet. Not super amazed or anything, but I do not regret my purchase. My biggest complaint so far would be how hard it seems to be to update the device, and the general slowness of new features. For example I spoke with support and they told me they were planning on adding fingerswipe and/or pin number before sending. They told me this months ago, but I have heard anything since.

Hi,
I want to reassure everyone as to the good standing of the two companies. It's all legit. The problem is that even legit companies don't always have strong financials. Now regarding buying on exchanges instead, some companies are unable to do so for various reasons. In addition, they need to pay fees to the exchanges whereas they pay no fees with us.
I appreciate all the good referrals. Now if I may ask - how does one go about setting up a multi-sig transaction? I've read about Armory Lockboxes online. Is that the best? Any alternatives? I'm a bit concerned about the potential loss of keys with Armory.
Thanks
If you do not trust armory, you could always use paper wallets where you have the private keys physically written down somewhere.

I can do this for you. If you want you can use my website, escrowmybits.com, but for such a large amount I understand if you would prefer it not be via the website. I have sent you a pm, feel free to reply back when you have a chance.

my opinion might be biased, but why would you trust a site with nearly no reputation?

Sending another transaction to an address does not mean you fully control it.
You would need to sign a message, preferably the same unique message with all the input addresses to prove you made that transfer.

Can gladly do escrow either via the form, or via my website, escrowmybits.com
Fee is 1%

It is fully working. I just updated the micro sd card as well. According to Fedex shipping calculator, a random zip code in Houston, TX, and a declared value of $400 for the package, shipping will be around $50.
Escrow is OK, as long as you pay the fees. I would prefer no escrow since I plan on selling the BTC ASAP.
I will leave this thread open for a bit longer to see if there are any other offers. If not, then its yours. Thank you for your patience.
Hedge your BTC on Bitfinex during escrow then Or just use Escrow my Bits which does almost exactly that

The first firmware update seems to have been release, but I can't get my unit to update for the life of me. It recognizes there's an update and will initiate the process, but keeps shutting off during the update process and tries to restart the process when it powers up again. I remember reading something earlier about issues with firmware updates in areas with low GSM signal so I tried bringing it to work where my phone usually gets 4 or 5 bars. The update process bar gets around 20% through and the system seems to shut off suddenly with no activity after letting it sit for 20 minutes or so.
Yes I am in a similar situation. I attempt to update it, but it refuses. I was hoping last night it was due to a large load so many upgrading and all, but seems not. I am getting more and more concerned as the issues continue and the lack of a true 2 of 3 multisig is used. I say lack of a true 2 of 3 because without case servers you really only have 1 key. There is no way to currently get a key off a device or use it in any useful format without the case servers. I was able to update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 this morning. Had to leave on the charging pad for about 15 minutes for the update. I am still not able to
