Build your canning factory when everyone else is learning how to fish.

Teach yourself how to fish and don't worry if others have fish or know how to fish or not because there are not enough fish left in the sea to feed everyone.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Relief In Crypto Taxation: France Brings Crypto Taxes Down To 19% on: April 27, 2018, 07:02:42 PM
I wonder how much of that they will collect?   In Singapore, it's 0%.   And not only that, once you convert to fiat, there is again ZERO income tax on interest income (a few rules there, but there are still plenty of choices of the types of accounts that produce tax free interest revenue).   It's one of the true 'Easy Streets' of the world.    Well, easy once you make it.... you do still need to find a way to move on up like George and Wheezy first.

85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver, CEO of bitcoin.com and XinFin Network (XDCE). Is he a scam? on: April 27, 2018, 05:35:16 PM
A person cannot be a scam.    A person can be a scammer or he can run a scam.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 27, 2018, 02:27:47 PM
I think anyone who doesn't actually own much gold will of course believe that bitcoin is better.    But having gold as one of your assets is definitely peace of mind.   You'll never go to sleep and have your gold value drop by 20% overnight.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 27, 2018, 07:50:59 AM
Bitcoin is a current currency, which is used in different countries in college and shopping. Bitcoin is authorized by IMC and its use is very easy and efficient in the financial life of the people. Because Bitcoin is above the market, Bitcoin is better than gold.

Which IMC are you referring to?
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 27, 2018, 07:50:00 AM
Bitcoin is digital crypto. So Bitcoin is better.

Yes bitcoin is better than gold because gold is only depleted in gold rust when it has a large amount of rust as well as its price of money in bitcoin low today is open to as big as a million so bitcoin is better than gold.

Translation please?

1. Gold vs. btc, which has a better chance of growing in value exponentially?   Easy answer.  Btc.
2. Gold vs. btc, which has a better chance of being worth around the same or moderately more in 30-80 years?  Easy answer.  Gold.
3. Gold vs. btc, which has a better chance of being worth ZERO in 30-80 years?   Easy answer.  Btc.

If your goal is to preserve wealth that you already have established, again, easy answer... you would choose a balance of both.   If you are currently poor or have low net worth, easy answer, you probably will not have a comfortable life if you just buy $X,000 in gold.   You would of course choose to buy the dream of btc, just like the way people on food stamps in America buy lottery tickets or sell Amway or Mary Kay cosmetics.

Now, if you can't answer question 3 above honestly and logically, you may want to consider getting outside opinions as you may be blinded by other factors.

It's unlikely people will have an unbiased opinion as to which is better on this forum.     As 'better' will have different meanings for everyone.   To keep it real though, no one asks questions everyday like.... will gold survive?  Should I sell all of my gold now?  Is gold a scam?

91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: April 26, 2018, 05:32:40 PM
Sold at $9300 and a bit.   Bought back in just now.    Not a bad couple of days at all.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will be over $20k again next week or in 2018? on: April 26, 2018, 07:06:19 AM
I think it has a good chance to make it to $11,500 by the end of the year.

93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google results show more people searching for Bitcoin than gold on: April 25, 2018, 08:31:13 PM
Doesn't really mean anything.   There are probably more people using the keywords Bitcoin than air, water, and fire as well.

The real indicator is when (if) bitcoin is found along side gold and other commodities on the same exchanges worldwide.

Imagine if there will be bitches...

Imagine there's no heaven...it's easy if you try...
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to spend your bitcoin on? on: April 25, 2018, 07:44:12 PM
If you're thinking about spending, just my opinion, but you're not on the road to wealth.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC investors around the world gather around and hear me up! on: April 25, 2018, 08:32:10 AM
There's nothing magical about 20K unless you bought at 15-17K.    Anyone who was not late to the party is just as happy selling (and again buying up when it dips) anywhere between 5K and 20K.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: April 24, 2018, 06:39:44 PM
Nothing can end world poverty.   The fact is, there are a finite amount of resources in this world.   And most are already controlled by a very small percentage of people.
98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin fees on: April 24, 2018, 04:49:09 PM
Very happy with Bitcoin fees.    9 cents to send $1100 just now.   I don't know how anyone could complain about that.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin: I agree that Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 24, 2018, 03:14:14 PM
Gold is safe.   Safety has value to a lot of people.   I hold both because they have different purposes for me.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pump & Dump is "no longer" an acceptable term in crypto currency on: April 23, 2018, 04:39:14 PM
Well, most folks around here don't seem to even understand the definition of pump and dump...   Look at all the people who say "will it pump?" when referring to the current btc price.    That's something you ask someone who has a broken bicycle or bilge pump.
