81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: crypto is actually the future on: June 05, 2024, 10:04:07 AM
I am very happy to see that the OP is once again taking part in regular discussion threads.

So bitcoin volatility over a year on any year scale stays under the 15% mark. Stocks usually are even lower.

When it comes to methods of spending, crypto is an easier option, but not legally accepted everywhere. This might improve in future and see cross border transactions happening without the parties getting themselves into trouble when converting it to fiat.

But traditional assets have maintain their position over the years. They are not gambling at all. I have been with the stock markets of my country for some years now and bitcoin over the last 7years, I take part in both and that is what I feel.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Things to avoid when you earn a lot or become rich on: June 05, 2024, 09:56:52 AM
Getting all the debts or as much as possible should be the first objective, because debts inject a sense of panic and restlessness in the borrower and this leads to diseases. Next should be savings to be able to plan for the future if possible in a bank and some for buying bitcoin at the lower prices.

Next should be daily necessities and leading a humble life because you dont want to show the world you are rich and gain attention, that leads to disastrous results but continue in your lifestyle and gradually upgrade it.

Savings are very important, most people forget this and they instead spend more than they can afford.
83  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 05, 2024, 09:53:21 AM
To be addicted to anything is bad, not just gambling and someone who believes the opposite is wrong. Addiction is different from being passionate about something and hence should not be used synonymously. To be addicted to something that wastes your money is an even worse thing. That money is earned from their hard work and in a way they are disrespecting their own hard work to gamble that money.

Most gamblers who remain well are the ones who moderate their habits. That is possible and it helps keep a balance for those who cannot quit gambling completely, but that is also possible.
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling is a fatal mistake on: June 05, 2024, 09:50:01 AM
This is a sad story but it is a common happening in a addicted gambler's home. With gambling the person usually gets mixed with private moneylenders and bookies and eventually it takes a bad turn when they cannot pay back the money. Also depression comes in with the guilt of having lost money and having to show the family who depend upon that person an empty wallet for the month.

All this things end up in a destructive recipe but by that time it is too late. Hence gamblers need to take back control before going to that extent. Fortunately my fellow members here are not addicted to that level but many are and most of them dont even come to forums like these.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is bitcoin for you? on: June 04, 2024, 10:23:31 AM
For me it is censorship resistance and decentralisation. The ability to send money to someone without having restrictions across borders and being accepted in the receiving country is something we all have wanted since the start of using fiat money.

This gives power in the hands of the people and those who understand this properly will always accept Bitcoin or show interest in it.

Hence we see a future of Bitcoin being used without legal restrictions and bring accepted by merchants everywhere.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: June 04, 2024, 10:20:49 AM
The fact that your friend took money from their friends shows that they are addicted gamblers unable to control the temptation and hence the rest of your group should be careful. Most gambling circles end up like this, one person taking loans from everyone else and none of them nite the bullet to inform others of these loans at all.

Also I don't agree with the statement of trying luck on casinos. Casinos don't have any fixed "luck" metric. It is random and gambling on one is equivalent to gambling on another because you either lose or win.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a legal jurisdiction backing up gamblers against the casino oppression? on: June 04, 2024, 10:15:26 AM
This forum has a scam accusations section in the forum, where usually scams or frauds get reported and usually they get solved if legitimate. Th forum DT members are also promote when posed with a unresponsive casino, they will help tagging and flagging the accounts related to the casino.

I think this is more than enough from the part of this forum. There are many other forums for gamblers but I can speak for this one and it worka as intended.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think you should invest in Bitcoin instead of burning your money in fire on: June 03, 2024, 11:46:04 AM
Unfortunately addictions are things that stick close to your life with the addict having less and less power to control it. Nicotine is highly addictive and giving it up means horrible withdrawal symptoms that the person has to deal with during the process of deaddiction.

Indeed, I have been lucky enough to not smoke or drink and been able to use that money "saved" to invest. But these addictions will continue in future as people are wooed by so called "e-cigarettes" and so on as the companies dont want to go down making these shit.

The only way is to make people aware, smoking does not make you cool, it kills you and your family by causing cancer. But nobody really cares about what we preach.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell me the unexpected problems you've encountered in a casino? on: June 03, 2024, 11:38:04 AM
First thing is to contact the support team. Nowadays most casinos are having telegram chats, where owners are present and you can approach them too.

If you are certain that they money was not tainted, you should go ahead with proving the source of funds (if you can) and wait for their reply. Most of the times, posting a thread on this forum with the evidence helps, in case you are comfortable about posting the money related matter online.

KYC can get triggered anybody but you should not panic and go with the process.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Committing mistakes helps us to become a responsible gambler. on: June 03, 2024, 11:32:34 AM
Mistakes in the sense that someone steals money and tries to gamble it and eventually loses it all, that person is responsible for their actions. Making mistakes is find but when it comes to money at hand, mistakes like these can cost a lot. Gambling is one such thing where greed always takes over and the bankroll based mistakes happen, but they are not difficult to control, just dont gamble with money you dont own.

Learning from the mistake is equally important. What gamblers do is that they lose the money and attempt to win it back and lose more and thus the losses keep piling up till there is no money at hand.
91  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 03, 2024, 11:24:54 AM
I am of the opinion that if some merit source hoards merits, this will show up to theymos when their merits get refilled every month, they are more likely to get marked by theymos due to this behaviour and eventually lose their merit source role.

For those who are not merit sources but done spend their merits, a merit decay thing should be used in my opinion, decayed merits being recycled to sources for distribution once again.

Maybe this is not the case, it is possible the OP is facing a dearth of merits, because as we have seen from the forum, cycling of merits occurs in specific groups and local communities and if you are not part of them you will be missed out and nobody will notice a thing.

I hope theymos takes the above problem up and attempts to solve it in future.

Lets look at the posting gaps in your history.

This thread was created on May 26, 2024

Before this your last post was on February 02, 2023 and that was making an ANN for UBET
Before that your post was on February 19, 2022 - another year long post gap.

Prior to that your post was for MTT on December 18, 2021 - another year long post gap.

I understand that you come to this forum just to post these ANNs on behalf of these companies to get some money. But if your objective is to earn from this forum you should be more active and participate in discussions.

Dont you think it looks bad when people are discussing things on a forum, and you just dumping your crap once a year in the middle of it and leaving?

My personal current experience. -snip-
I have been using them since several years now, have been a winner of their 200$ faucet roll one time back. I still roll the faucet once every few days hoping to replicate that big win, but so far it has not repeated. Also invested quite a hefty amount on their site, but due to the problems I had to withdraw my coins and wait for better support management to arrive before I trust them with more. Indeed the past few months have been bad for their site but they are trusted and you can see they have sprung back to action.

Their investment scheme is one of the best in the market, better than a bank deposit. But I would not suggest the FUN token, just the 4.08% investment.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: June 02, 2024, 05:59:00 AM
We become lucky and ready to have one of the flowing sites that generated huge earnings for us because we've been through a whole lot lately. We should always take to heart that there's only two solid outcomes that will be experienced each time we gamble, it's either you're on the winning team or losing end, that makes sense to everyone in the system. We gamble because we're after the money that comes our way and that's usually one of the terrible aspects of gambling.
That small win is enough to fuel the over-confidence that a gambler has and forces them to play more waiting for the right win. This is bad because the games will likely drain you before you win anything big and the cumulative losses will overcome the profit.

Luck is a slippery thing, so dont chase behind it. In gambling luck will always be on the casino's side, this is what you have to accept and apply. This is not a test where you study and practice to hone your answering skill, it is just luck be it EV- or EV+ which makes sense to not gamble for long durations.

Playing once a while because you are feeling lucky and want to push your luck or visiting Vegas once in a year, that is fine if kept in a limit, but dont get stuck there.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they on: June 02, 2024, 05:50:59 AM
The thought of gambling to make money itself is the biggest mistake. They should change the thought to playing gambling games for fun once every 2months or so.

Though the fact that casinos exist is because people have this hidden greed for money and are willing to try their luck on things that have a chance of winning or losing. Still the objective should be clear and once it become clear, that person will no longer wish to gamble with their hard earned money.

There is nothing wrong with being a part of the gambling industry, in fact most of the owners are multi-millionaires, one can become part of it as a investor or affiliate marketer.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology and TA on: June 02, 2024, 05:43:43 AM
However, there is another truth, that I would like to say, Bitcoin is a very solid investment asset, with very good ROI in history, so in either bear market or bull market, if you are an investor with long term plan, the bear market is still very good period for you to accumulate Bitcoin.
This is true for bitcoin, but buying at the mid or highs is something that I would still not recommend. It might go up for that price but in case it does not, it will initially cause mental dissatisfaction to the trader and not all traders will be able to hold through that phase.

Rather the least stressful thing is to buy at the low and wait for that to go up. While TA is more of a day-trading thing, use it only to determine a phase, dont depend on it completely.

Buying low and selling high is a general concept applicable to every speculative asset, not just bitcoin.
98  Other / Meta / Re: Application for Merit Source - TheUltraElite on: June 01, 2024, 12:08:17 PM
Thanks you to all those who have been providing their views on this matter.
I support your application because I have seen you in several boards and your contribution is visible and appreciated.
Appreciate that, I will try to shower merits on every other section I visit too. One of my bigger aspirations is to provide a balance in the merits being distributed to prevent the skewness, it will be tough, but I will try it.

I want to ask in this thread and for anyone, don't be too serious. Have you ever felt that it is very difficult to get merit and think something is wrong that is happening?
Thread is not about merit deficiency in the sections, but like I said above, I am a one man army and hence I am impartial to meriting users on this forum.

I've always seen you in a positive light, and you've been a member way longer than the typical merit source applicant so you'll definitely be a good judge of which posts are good and which are typical mediocre shitposting fare.  You got my support, brother.
Thank you Pharma Grin Hope to fullfill this role and get it done in the best possible way.
99  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If you can't afford to pay for electricity don't do mining on: June 01, 2024, 11:59:21 AM
I can write to you about Russia very easily. Energy workers have already learned to quickly find illegal miners. Equipment using free electricity will pay for itself in 6-8 months, but energy workers will find a mining farm earlier, in 3-4 months. This is minus 50% of the deposit. If the police catch the miner, then it's bankruptcy.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Indeed it is outright dangerous to mine in countries like that, the risk is not worth taking.

But since everyone wants to jump into the bitcoin bandwagon the better and safer method is to buy bitcoin at the lower end of the cycle and hold that for the long term.

It is not that buying and running ASICs is a chore on its own, but it has become this dangerous because of less availability of cheap electricity.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A list of lucky casinos in crypto on: May 31, 2024, 04:18:58 PM
I would refrain from making such a list, because lucky is not something you become at a casino, even though most people like to think like that, rather they are more likely to get unlucky and lose money.

The casinos might want that, for marketing though because advertising themselves as "lucky" for the players means more people who are blinded by their greed will jump into that casino rather than any other like pigs to a slaughterhouse.

Hence I would treat such a list with a lot of skepticism.
