81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we have a price drop? on: February 23, 2018, 04:13:51 PM
There is always someone would like to get some profits out of the market. That is, trading will never stop, leading to constant price fluctuations.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of this SCAM about EOS airdrop on: February 23, 2018, 04:12:24 PM
If you receive an email saying:

BREAKING: EOS Devs Announce Massive Airdrop

beware!

is a scam very well performed that will link you to a fake coindesk site
original:
https://www.coindesk.com/
fake with the :
https://www.coindeṡk.com/EOS-halves-token-amount-for-blockone-leaves-tokens-to-be-claimed/

that link you to a mywtherwallet veryfied page with a contract ready to be deployed

beware because scammers know that all of us wants free coins!
Thank you for the heads up. Recently, I got a lot of scam emails like this. Don't know how did these scammers get my email and my name.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my Bitcoin Cash? on: February 23, 2018, 04:08:26 PM
Hi people. I have 0.31 right now, the value of Bitcoin Cash is not really looking good at the moment, if you were me would you sell or hold?
Thanks for any constructive opinion.
In my opinion, Bitcoin cash does not have a bright future. It does not bring the needed innovation for BTC to scale. Its tech is outdated compared to the top altcoins. I think you should see it when RSI is high.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATOMIC-SWAPS -||I||-BarterDex-||I||- Successfull first ERC20 Atomic swap on: February 23, 2018, 04:03:17 PM
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/7zjgn2/fyi_atomic_swaps_between_ethereum_erc20_tokens/

Support for Eth/Erc20 is soon going to be added to Komodo's BarterDex p2p exchange,
after just ~2 months since concept, the first "Etomic" swap between Eth and a bitcoin-based coin (Doge) has been completed on mainnet.

https://github.com/dogethereum/dogerelay/issues/29

BarterDex has a working beta since a few months. So far it only supported Bitcoin and a lot of bitcoin-based coins like BCH, DASH, LTC, ZEC, etc... http://atomicexplorer.com/?coins#/coins

BarterDex works with on-chain atomic swaps. Ethereum doesn't have the opcodes necessary, for this reason many projects that are working on atomic swaps with Ethereum have focused on simulating the missing parts with smart contracts.

Komodo team has instead found a clever workaround that has rapidly led to success, it's less prone to bugs and also a lot cheaper in gas cost than all other solutions.

BarterDex stats : http://dexstats.info/
It is nice to see more and more decentralized exchanges are being built. With these trustless decentralized exchanges, we will have more confidence in trading security and reliability.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hijacked contract-adresses on: February 23, 2018, 03:58:21 PM
Hello,

is it possible, that someone can hijack a original contractadress on a decentrialised exchange, like etherdelta?
Even ift it would show the right contract-adress, could it be a fake?

For example Gladius Token... Is it the original token? https://forkdelta.github.io/#!/trade/0x71d01db8d6a2fbea7f8d434599c237980c234e4c-ETH

It`s the right contract-adress, but could it be a fake, too?

The smart contract itself can be not hijacked, only the front end or the interface can be hijacked. I think when the SWARM and IFPS protocols are matured enough, the crypto space will become more secure.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I fucked up and turned ~600 BTC into 200 BTC on: February 23, 2018, 03:56:33 PM
Holding altcoins in the long term is not a pleasant experience. I fucked up and turned 10 BTC to 0.5 BTC in 2017. At the end of the day, you still have 200 BTC which is a lot of money to start with.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I learnt by losing money to HOQU.io ICO scam on: February 23, 2018, 03:52:41 PM
Always do your due diligence on ICO projects you would like to put your money in. In addition, checking ICO review websites is helpful and necessary.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Info on: February 23, 2018, 03:50:59 PM
What are all basic requirements for an airdrop account...Do we need some money or Ethereum in wallet in advance to participate in airdrop campaigns?
95% airdrop projects do not have the requirement for wallet balance. However, in order to sell your bounty tokens, you need to have a small amount of ETH to pay the transaction fees.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO pool group currently open for new members on: February 23, 2018, 03:49:04 PM
Hi, I'm in an ICO pool group which is open at the moment.

Benefits of pooling:
- Getting bigger bonuses.
- Not having to worry about getting in an ICO in a crowdsale that can sell off in an instant.
- Possibility to invest bigger amounts than in normal crowdsale.
- Participation is possible even if your country is restricted, we will do the KYC.
- No high-cost gas wars.
- Shared research and discussion in our community.

We are using smart contract. Please ask if you have any concerns.

We are in discord, here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/w5Vbz7k
Using smart contract in a ICO pool is nothing new right now. At the end of the day, the credibility of the ICO pools still depend on pool manager, since the smart contract nowadays is not sophisticated enough to deal with KYC and other stuff.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommendations for Under 1$ Coins on: February 23, 2018, 03:41:22 PM
I would like to invest 2000$ for alt coins under 1$ , my suggestions are these please guide me

Bluzelle
Power Ledger
Request Network
Substram

give your opinions on this and your suggestions?
Don't know why you care about the price of a coin. It should be noted that the marketcap is more important when you are picking coins to invest.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic, a pump and dump? on: February 23, 2018, 03:40:12 PM
Can't seem to find anything that makes it stands out or unique, compared to the other coins I have.
Agree. Ethereum classic is a project without a bright future. Ethereum classic does not have an edge in the crypto world today. That's why they decide to fork it.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: February 23, 2018, 03:35:17 PM
https://news.bitcoin.com/46-last-years-icos-failed-already/

  • 46% of them are effectively dead already – despite raising over $104 million.
  • 902 crowdsales... 142 failed at the funding stage and a further 276 have since failed
The percentage is not that high, since there are so many amateur projects out of these 902 crowdsales. Everyone can start a ICO nowadays and there are many platforms on which you can start your own ICOs.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does a smart contract give you any assurance? on: February 23, 2018, 03:33:12 PM

Does a good Github and a publicly written smart contract give you any assurance regarding the legitimacy of an ICO? How? Does a project look more legit by having it?

If the publicly written smart contract is a original one, it would definitely make the project more legit. However, it is really hard to tell whether the smart contract is just a toy contract or a solid working product.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THEKEY on: February 23, 2018, 03:31:16 PM
the key is now being so attacking. i was holding 170.000 pieces of their toke and yet i was expecting 1000 satoshis yet they set the shit at 200 i did day trade but wow i  was lost. sold my token at 300 to get at 250 buybacks but wow. it now at 400 now. dont know what to do.
i am expecting more on profit but i dont know what to do now. i know i am been there done that bit what i should do now.
Be careful with thekey. Check this out: https://concourseq.io/Q/TheKey
I think it is fine to trade it to get short term profit, but it would be very risky to hold it, since it has so many red flags.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BashCoin - blockchain PoC written in BASH on: February 23, 2018, 03:25:59 PM
Out of so many price manipulation and altcoins shilling threads, your thread is one of the few high-quality original post out there. Thank you for sharing your code.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn through Airdrop? on: February 23, 2018, 03:19:28 PM
As a newbie here any suggestions are welcome regarding the process of earning through Airdrop...I am sorry but I need to know the complete process from the beginning if anyone could explain it would be a great help....
Check out https://airdropalert.com/ on a daily basis. At least get a Ethereum wallet using metamask or myetherwallet to receive the airdropped (90% of the time is ERC20) tokens.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rewards for holding on: February 22, 2018, 09:33:26 AM
Hello, everyone!

At the moment i am interested in coins, which give good rewards for holding.

Leasing Waves, for instance, is secure, but the interest of reward is tiny.

I also ran into Smartcash, which seems eligible, but haven`t tried it yet.

Who else has experience with holding? Which coin would you suggest and why?
And if we dig deeper, do You have experience with MN, which exactly and why?

Will be happy to read the answears
I suggest you hold top 20 coins. The reason is that their value is highly likely to go up in the long run. Holding altcoins which pay you dividends is not a good idea in this type of market.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY]: 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 Token : The future of online payments is here. on: February 20, 2018, 09:51:31 PM
Thank you, UTRUST team! Thank you, Avirunes! I got the bounty tokens. I will hold these tokens, since I think UTRUST will be a very successful project in future.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High PoS reward coins, a scam coin? on: February 16, 2018, 03:38:40 PM
These days, so many coins were encouraged to make their coins are reasonable to buy it with the high PoS rewards for each stake as the reason. It is more likely as HYIP (Known as a scam) since they have high returns on investment, while these PoS coins give high stake rewards based on how much coins they have.
I'd like to know your opinion about this high PoS reward coins.
High POS reward coins usually have very high inflation rate. In this sense, its high reward does not make sense if it cannot beat the inflation, right?
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto gambling? on: February 16, 2018, 03:36:20 PM
Have you heard about this?

Basically online gambling / casinos for cryptocurrency. Would you ever consider it? Do you think it's completely pointless and just harms the crypto reputation? Thoughts?

Personally I think it's the exact same as gambling with fiat, so I don't really see the point in it.
I see smart contract based gambling is a very important part of the crypto ecosystem. Smart contract based gambling sties will be the world's first batch of truly trustless, provably fair gambling platforms. A good example is Etheroll.
