81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 28, 2020, 11:59:08 PM
It depends on the project, there are times that even if the project is being handled by a newbie, the outcome is good or most likely if that newbie is part of the team. Rank is not really the basement if the project is good or not, there are time that even if the project was being handled by a higher rank, the project can still turn out to be a scam project.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 28, 2020, 11:29:58 PM
I think it is because discord is mainly used by gamers than telegram. Their goal is to get more players that will play in their gambling site so their best way is to promote it in a platform where gamers is using very often. And discord is what they see best that will allow them to get their target players compared to telegram.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 27, 2020, 09:54:45 PM
The majority of people out there still dont udnerstand for that they should use bitcoin in general. So hard to change their fiat habbits

Their would be many reasons due to which still people are tied to use fiat. Just like me as well want to use bitcoin in my general life as well but cannot as not many stores do accept bitcoin , some of them are still unaware, then not very clear rules from authorities etc this all makes it tough for merchants to openly accept the bitcoin. I hop in coming years this thing get sorted do that major transaction can be done in bitcoin rather than fiat.
Well, that's probably the major reason. Fiat is much used than bitcoin in their area. Even if they want to use bitcoin there is no chance because there is no store near them that accept it. Or maybe they just don't know how to use technology, they don't have the knowledge about it that's why they are afraid to use or trying to avoid it. They might see it as a complicated thing to learn in their current age.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops Confusion on: October 27, 2020, 02:13:57 PM
Are those spreading all over around especially in this forum known to be an "airdrop" is considered an airdrop or bounty campaign since some of those are requiring people to fill up some of the forms or need to sign up or follow some social media accounts, etc?
Since you did some task or work to get those coins.
We can consider it as a bounty campaign. Airdrop should be distributed to all of the participants as free without asking them any requirements and to do tasks. However, on these days they need to sign up or follow on their social media to become part of their community to become eligible of receiving the airdrop. On this kind of scenario, this is clearly a bounty campaign and not just an airdrop that they give for free.

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 30, 2020, 09:29:40 PM
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin today underwent a hot wallet hack, hacker managed to bring in about 157 million dollars, but luckily kucoin cold wallet is safe and all hacked funds will be completely replaced by kucoin.

Once again, cybersecurity is MANDATORY in the current crypto environment

Hacker wallet https://etherscan.io/address/0xeb31973e0febf3e3d7058234a5ebbae1ab4b8c23
source https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-kucoin-security-incident-update
And there are still people out there saying that it is better to keep your funds in an exchange than to keep your funds yourself, it is nice they are taking responsibility and they are going to pay their affected customers but still this shows that no matter how perfect you think is your security the risk of being hacked is never zero, this means that it is important to never tell anyone how much crypto we are holding that way the chances we are the target of hackers or scammers goes down dramatically.
Yes, even if there are so many times they were told that keeping funds in exchange is too risky, they still continue to keep doing the same thing. This is what we are talking about, that's why we should avoid it. It's good for the victims of hacking that kucoin will replace their funds but not all exchange will do the same thing.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 30, 2020, 08:16:34 PM
There's a lot of things you can give as a gift to your friends like bitcoin coin or any crypto coin, bitcoin shirts like I give before to some of my friends. But the only problem you have is if they are interested or know anything about bitcoin. I have encountered before, they don't know anything about it, and they just set aside my gift in the long run.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 29, 2020, 11:23:37 PM
I recommend betting high if you are sure of winning, and betting small if you are not sure of winning. If you use the current strategy
by placing many bets with small amounts, it will be difficult for you to make a profit. Because even if you win, the profit you make is
small, especially sports betting, including gambling 50/50 chances of winning. So we have to be confident in placing high amounts in
a team that we are sure will win.
And how can you make sure if you are winning or not? That's really impossible.
As for me, his current strategy is fine, it is better to do small bets with small losses or small winnings than making such high bets that will lead him to lose more than he has.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I sell ERC20 coins? on: September 29, 2020, 10:17:12 PM
That's the problem, I don't have enough gas to send the coins I want to sell on other exchanges. That's why I ask if there are exchanges like etherdelta where I can sell the coins I have without gas, just need the private keys.
Well, it is just an easy problem, that problem can be solved if you will put even a little amount of gas or what is enough gas to send your coins. There are no other exchanges that offer free transactions. They don't offer their service just to get nothing from their users.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm scared of ethereum gas fee on: September 26, 2020, 11:10:34 PM
What if ether price goes up to more than $2000 dollars.. How will people or new cryptocurrency users be able to cope with the gas fee. As I can see so far, the current gas price has been giving people tough time. I remember when we used to use 2 gwei for gas price.
I don't think the Ethereum network congestion can reduce with time.
Don't even bother or be scared thinking about that. Ethereum reaching $2k is still far from its reach. And if ever that this happen, we should not be worried since this is normal as the price of ethereum increases, gas will also do. Also, we should also expect failed transactions.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 26, 2020, 10:29:47 PM
We've been hearing a lot of the same discussion even before. This is more likely pure discussion and there is still no possibilities to happen. Maybe we just wait for the official announcement and let's just hope that they will make it happen.
I'm sure Pacquiao will beat McGregor, and surely McGregor will regret his decision by challenging Pacquiao. As we know Pacquiao's
ability is far above McGregor, moreover Pacquiao accepts McGregor's challenge not because of money. But want to do charity for
his country. This will further increase Pacquiao's popularity as a politician in the Philippines.

Well, that's true, but as the years goes by, Pacquiao continue to grow old and because of this age difference, the possibility for McGregor to win this fight is also high. Even if Pacquiao is a great boxer, he is not that young anymore to face anyone without anything to worry about.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: September 26, 2020, 09:35:02 PM
I dont think it is safe not to be on telegram or twitter if you are in cryptocurrency. The 2 are the most active form of communication for cryptocurrency enthusiast, the competition in the space demand lots of development from most competiting project. So it is important to get those information early to save most of the token. However, bitcoin enthusiast may not need telegram at all but altcoin investors really need it

I somewhat agree with the above. Telegram is not all trash, there are many groups which are useful not only to potential investors but to newbies also.

Do not let a few bad experiences from some groups put you off from potentially forming more connections and getting more knowledge.

The key is to weed out spam groups, and only keep those that you think give you value. For instance, many projects are launching their public token sales on telegram, so it would be silly to miss put on similarly great things - don't you think?
Yes, we just have to be on the right group and not in a group in telegram that will only give you a false information. It is one of the active source of information that's why this should not be considered as trash. It is just there are more spam groups that we should avoid and not be joined.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Scams and Government on: September 26, 2020, 09:06:54 PM
they've mentioned about creating their own cryptocurrency and assured of 30% - 40% return monthly.
I don't know, but why even today, people tend to invest in this kind of scam. People are easily deceived and being scammed because they continue to do such thing as investing and having ROI monthly. There is no such thing as investing and having a guaranteed return without doing anything. Not only in crypto space, even in real world, people should realize it that earning money is not easy as that.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 25, 2020, 11:26:13 PM
Your friend is not cursed, don't think of it like that. He just getting addicted to gambling maybe because he won once or twice then he had consecutive losses. By that, it keeps him to continue to gamble having his hopes that he will win again or at least get his losses back. That is the common mindset of most gamblers, addiction leads them to that situation.
It never changes the mindset of most gamblers.

It's addictive and when someone can't get off his hands, that's what likely to happen. We get the desire to take back our losses if we have lost that much.

But when we realize, it's better to have that lower amount of loss than to add more of it because of our desire to recover.
Wherein gamblers were not able to realize or they realize it after they lose more than they have. We tend to continue gambling to at least win some of our losses but we never realize that the more we continue playing, the more we get addicted and the more money we lose.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest AIRDROP in the history of cryptocurrency on: September 25, 2020, 09:49:13 PM
Yes, this might be the biggest airdrop in history, and in our current situation, no one expected an airdrop that is really worth it. Also, I have encountered recently a post where he received a total of $2m. Though, not everyone received the same amount, but they are still lucky to receive an airdrop.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: September 25, 2020, 08:44:30 PM
Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
No, what we have in 2017 is not the golden year of crypto. What I think is this is just the beginning. Most people think that this is the golden year because this is the very first time it reached the price that no one anticipated and the whole world was shocked about it.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 24, 2020, 11:17:13 PM
It is a good strategy but only for the short term. In gambling, no one can really say such thing as an obvious winning especially in sports betting.
Are these bets as safe as they seem? Would you go for this strategy or not? Why?
As I have said, it is a good strategy but only for the short term but not considered safe since we cannot always guarantee your winning even if you bet on an obvious winner, there will always be a chance that your bet will lose. I'd rather not go with that strategy.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Question to Crypto users about its security on: September 24, 2020, 10:19:55 PM
Crypto is praised as currency of future, 100% secured way of transaction. my question is how?

-If you have money in bank or invested in stock or somewhere else regulated by government and you dies, bank/stock exchange will contact the nominee when the account goes inactive. but if a person who hold crypto dies, nobody will know about this so the money is lost forever. if the person decides to share the crypto details with someone then its not really a "secured" currency.

-If someone stole money from your bank/stock/credit card account, it can be tracked where the money went and can be recovered by filing complaint with your bank or authorities. but if somone steal your crypto there is no way to get the crypto back.

So how is this a currency of future, did anyone asked these question before?
-That's true, if a person who holds crypto will die, no one will know about his crypto and will lost forever. But as you have said, he can share the details with someone really close to him, it is still secured as long as that person will really be trusted.
-If your money was stolen, the one who is responsible is the owner of the crypto. We should always try to do everything to secure our crypto and don't let anyone stole it. Even in banks, there are robberies and credit or money being stolen. It just a matter of how we suppose to secure our money.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: September 24, 2020, 09:41:18 PM

More is that, the reasons bounty has been paying shit is because you rushing over it and they decide to list below, compare it with 2017 coins.
You can't blame bounty hunters when it comes to rushing things. They are expecting their rewards and bounty hunters know that they deserve to be paid and sell it on time because of their own reasons. Maybe rushing into things will really make their payment as shit but the project itself should be the one to make a move if they really want to increase the value of their coin or product.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 23, 2020, 08:19:44 PM
It's clear that bitcoin makes a high returns of profits than gold but it also means it's more than risky to invest in bitcoin because of its volatility compared to gold that is more stable. But if i have a huge amount of money, i prefer to invest in both because they are both profitable and will offer us brighter future 10-20 years from now. And if one investment fails, we still have the other one to count on.
I do agree, you can make a huge return in bitcoin but the risk is also high compared to gold. Investing in gold is for the long term and the risk is less. But it is better to split the investment to both of them than choosing only one where you can literally make profit on both of them.
