I do not get how people could consider something they haven't cashed out yet or even have the ability to cash out as free airdrop. It is not an airdrop, I could right now create a token, make you lock it down if I give it to you, so you will not be able to send or receive any of it anywhere for example, and tell you that when it is on an exchange and unlocked it will be a million dollars each and you will be rich and give you 10 of them, will everyone believe they are super rich? No. Why do you think this one is?

Uniswap is a scam type of thing, it is not totally scam but it is close to it, people will sell it for few dollars eventually when they realize nobody buys it for hundreds of dollars, let all uniswap to be unlocked and you will see how cheap it was given out.

Well having an airdrop now is mostly on a promotion. Uniswap does give airdrop tokens and it seems to be effective, Their project got into different news articles and hyped people so much that attracted some investors that are hoping to receive some airdrop. This airdrop's main purpose in the project is to give a hype to the people that leads to the project's success. But as we know Defi project won't long since it is hype-driven.

Unfortunately, you're right Uni only airdrops to current members but even still having such a generous drop is impressive!

And the fact that despite the dump the token maintained a healthy value indicates more than the fact the project is good and led by a leader company but more than that it points towards the remaining holders seeing value in the token - something rare!

However, a good example of this type of scenario can be applied to BTC how often people dump their coin because they see a market crush only later to discover that they'd been better of to have kept it as since they sold out it bull-ed several times.

Such a big number of coins will not make them worth a lot.

There were so many coins in the past that operated on very high supply and it did not make them valuable or popular.

RPD is worth 0,0001 USD per coin and is one of such high supply coins.

It's great they're airdropping so much because it will make them popular but the value of the drop may become a disappointment.

Yes, this might be the biggest airdrop in history, and in our current situation, no one expected an airdrop that is really worth it. Seing UNISWAP growth I think it's pretty much safe to assume that it's gonna be a succesful project in the next few years, so many people providing liquidity while many people also swapping their coin using this service. though their UNI token is kinda uncertain and maybe exist just for a gimmick (my opinion). but their airdrop still great anyway.

Uniswap indeed invested so much in the airdrop, almost half a billion dollar was distributed to the community. I sincerely wished I used Uniswap and qualified for the airdrop. I only do hope that those who received this airdrop utilized the funds very well in taking care of their issues. I hear NEM actually did the biggest airdrop in the history for writing something in ANN thread which turned out worth more than 1 million at it's peak .

it is definitely the biggest airdrop in the history of crypto and unfortunately for me I was not part of this history, I can only tell it but didn't experience it and so it makes me sad to think about it, things like this only comes ones in a life time and as usual I miss out but still happy for those who got lucky.

If you look at the value of the airdrop during its distribution, indeed, UNI is one of the biggest valued airdrop. To make transactions on Ethereum address, kick token distributed 888K ERC-20 tokens. 888k Kicktoken value was over 600 USD on the kucoin exchange. Atomic wallet token also distributed over 1000 USD to retweet their pin tweet.

You should not include Kicktoken because their airdrops is useless they are locked and no way to trade it or send it, it's useless token in receiver's wallet, I congratulate those UNI receivers because that's a lot of money and can be considered one of the biggest airdrop for the last two years. You may be right on this one dude, but don't you know that because of what happened to this airdrops for the UNISWAP more scammers have been also arising here in this thread or even in the other forum site. Do you know why? because the scammers know that there is a lot of community still hoping that there will be another airdrop that will appear and do the same thing just like what UNISWAP did recently, so the scammers used UNISWAP to their own token where they're promoting it to scam others. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed these things anyway.

There have been a lot of bad projects in the past and every time the price crashed, the investors there would blame the bounty hunters and be disdain. Hopefully, after this UNI airdrop campaign, they will better understand how the market works so as not to make false judgments.

Didn’t know that they did that much for an airdrop. $450,000,000 is a really huge amount. Before now I think the project that did the most was Stellar with their$125,000,000 airdrop, that was a really huge amount. Other ones I know we’re Decree, BitTorrent and Bitcoin Cash.

Well, that goes to say that we can’t tell what the future holds, there are always going to be competition. Another project can still come out tomorrow and try to do more than the one that these guys have done. Whatever , I hope that these guys succeed with their project and not fail. It depends on the project if they are strong in building their tokens on the exchange then the hunters will not be wronged even though the tokens are thrown away from the airdrop, the decline will not be big, it's just small projects that are always like and at the end of the hunters are the ones that investors blame .

With this project there are many suggestions where the airdrop with a large return does not damage the market price, even higher after the airdrop sharing.
