82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we ever have altcoin season again. on: July 26, 2019, 11:54:20 PM
First you have to wait for alt season, and then think about next seasons, because many people are waiting for the growth of alts, but they do not grow now
This is all the market cycle. You need to have mastered skills about the market cycle. This will help you exit the market before the stagnation starts and enter the market before the growth starts. Alts will have their growth period soon again I think because they consists of a big market capitalization and there is no reason we should not be expecting the rise.
83  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoin with credit card on: July 26, 2019, 08:36:48 PM
Don't keep increasing your debts in the process of making money.

You will never become a rich person by doing this.

Save your money and then invest.
This is good advice and you can make money by many ways two among which are very famous these days. Invest in Bitcoin when you think the market is offering the best opportunity. Get yourself into the startup industry. These two businesses are the kind of businesses that can make you a millionaire like Sam Altman of Y Combinator at the age of 25.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC and the $5 hammer on: July 25, 2019, 08:53:17 PM
A theme  topic, whatever often talked about on this forum, is the $5 hammer attack.
Many people suggest to keep your bitcoin holdings secret, thus preserving the anonymity of bitcoin to a certain degree.
But then you get sportsbooks asking for photos and passports, and god only knows what else.
If a sportsbook wants all this, I respectly suggest they change to fiat.
If you don't want to give the details then simply change the site you are playing and I think not all the gambling sites were asking for KYC to complete because all they are doing is paying the rewards even in crypto so they might save them from legal actions with the same anonimity you are talking about.
This is very easy to understand if you should go for KYC. If you do not worry about your identity and want to avail those few dollars, you should not stop and enjoy and go easy with KYC. However, if you do not have another option and you do not want to share your details, just leave the site and look for another with not restriction about the KYC. Simple is that.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever looked at how much you have wagered with a hanging mouth? :P on: July 25, 2019, 08:10:59 PM
Well on PD I was a VIP so I have wagered 100BTC+ there and today that would be $1mio+.

And yes, thats a lot but I wagered a lot when the BTC price was a lot lower then nowadays.
That was too much wagered.
And what was the result have you gain that you wagered?
Even me, I can't wager even a fraction of bitcoin because I gamble one or twice a week and that was for fun.
That's a good thing to OP that he decided to quit earlier rather than he loses more than 15 bitcoin which a huge amount and I can build a house on that amount.

OP didn't lost 15 bitcoin, he has just wagered 15 bitcoin. So for the most players here wagering 15 bitcoin isn't that much. Some do it within a few bets.

Yes, there is a difference between wagering 15 Bitcoins and depositing 15 BTC. If you have 1 btc or even 0.5 btc deposit in the gambling site, it wont take long before your wagering could reach upto 15 btc.

Yea amount "wagered" is a bit misleading, technically you could just bet a few BTC with 99:1 odds. Would suck if you ever lost though lol.
Just couple of days ago someone on the forum has wagered with 7 Bitcoin and lost. $ Bitcoins won afterwards but what’s the benefits then? Doing a Bitcoin trade would have been much lucrative with 7 Bitcoin. IN other words, I think if there is enough possibility for you to win at the sports betting, which of course require some experience, you should still be mindful about how much you wager.
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why $13,000 was unsustainable. on: July 25, 2019, 07:45:38 PM
This post was accurate, due to the logic of the financial thinking. I hope no one bought at $13,800 when they could have waited a month and now bought at 10k.

I monitor what the whales do based on creation cost and cash flow like this. It is the only way to properly understand bitcoin fundamentally.

https://www.amsinger.org

It is always better to get more clever and aware. It sucks to lose money.

Aaron
Well I can tell you that the price rise was so sudden and had been so revitalizing that people did invested when it was around $13,000. However such things do happen due to fear of missing out the gains that many already in the market could earn. But this is a weak approach and it is always the best approach to invest in the coins when the market value is down.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting odds, which do you prefer? on: July 24, 2019, 05:07:33 PM
But the chance of win will certainly be much smaller right? the greater the risk the greater the odds. if you are not prepared for defeat then it is better to use a strong team with small odds its more better, the important thing is the chance of win is more bigger, that's the principle of my gambling
But smaller odds usually also mean bigger wagers to make some decent profit. And bigger wagers mean the possibility to lose more money if the bet doesn't go the way you planned. There is no bulletproof strategy unfortunately.

There will be no bulletproof strategy in gambling. But there are still many opportunities to minimize the chances of loss, for example with the parlay system, I think this system is very effective in reducing the chances of loss, where we have to get the winning points first. Then gamble from the profits of the first win, but if the initial results lose, then the martiangle system can be used to cover the initial losses but are very risky.
There is no perfect strategy in gambling and no one ever has won multiple games by applying the same strategy. So I think one should rather focus on one’s own experience because experience and a mathematical mind helps a lot when it comes to strategy formulation during gambling. It is always good to have a perceiving mindset which helps to formulate counter strategy and block the opponent.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impossibility of a gambling system (Why methods don't work) on: July 23, 2019, 06:07:28 PM
There is no working strategy in gambling that is why people creating many strategies and saying that it will work and it might worked.

but this is nothing more than luck if the strategies we are using working for us and only for very short time.

True, there is no strategy that will give us a steady profits if we use it continuously. Indeed, strategy can work sometimes, but it won't last long. That's why we need to manage our balance and have to know when to end our gambling session or otherwise, we will lose more and more. Let's make simple logic. If there is a strategy to give us a steady profit in gambling, will there still be a casino?
it is surely good to keep your money in your hands, when you start gambling make sure that you have whole command over the game you are betting or gambling. It is much better to invest your miner amount so later on you can increase your amount but no one could give you 100 percent surety to win that’s why better keep learning and choose good strategy.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: July 23, 2019, 05:27:01 PM
I don't really see the essence of doing KYC for online Casinos.  The infographic here is concise and cool, stating some obvious facts why personally I don't like the idea of KYC by some gambling sites. KYC complicates the whole idea of using crypto for online casinos.

I think KYC makes people need to verify their identity. Meanwhile, the website does not prove to their customer about who they are, where they operate the site, and I think they do not become transparent to its customer. They have their customer data's, but the customer doesn't have their data's, but we cannot do anything. Fortunately, we have so many gambling websites which don't use KYC to their customer so we can join with them, and many of them are trusted gambling website.

Well right, that is very unfair. Such gambling sites are bad sites. And it sounds a little funny too if gambling sites have to do kyc, especially the developers are not transparent to users. If I meet a site like this, I will definitely say that the site is a prospective scammer.
No I think this is not funny because if a casino ask for our KYC then it could be the policy of that casino but it does not mean that there is any bad intention behind this. I know most of the time gamblers use to hide their identity for the sake of safety but I  think it is not bad if the casino sends direct payments to accounts.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New casino vs old and trusted one on: July 21, 2019, 09:03:21 PM
A new casino has to offer big bonuses and promotions to gain a user base.
thats true  , they do it to attract gamblers to play with them but older casino also do this  and i think old casino will offer more than what the new casino can offer because old casino were more richer than the newer casino  .

However I would still be very cautious of the amounts I am depositing in such new ventures. Bonuses and free spins are always good but I would rethink before depositing a bigger amount.
new casinos dont easily gain trust from their costumers but who knows maybe thier intention is true  . why not give them a chance to play big on thier site ?  but if your still doubting then better try smaller amounts first and observed if how the casino goes  .
You are right in New casino people don’t trust easily as someone else already had taken their trust so they don't involve New sites easily but I think with small strategy but we should give a chance to New casino as well because who knows may be they could give us more benefits than the old one..
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 21, 2019, 08:20:30 PM
As a player yes, he did play well. As a team, they didn't deserve the cup neither did the kiwis. I wish Austalia or India could have won as these are the strongest teams out there. Nz clearly didn't belong there, they played the worst game for a cricket team playing in the finals.
The World Cup should have being shared for the competitive match they displayed in the finals and giving the world cup simply because one team scored more boundaries is ludicrous and they should have taken the wickets lost during the 50 overs rather than the boundaries scored. Australia lost the match by a big margin against England and India lost the match because of the weather conditions as the pitch was seaming a lot after the rain and still India fought hard till the end. I have a different opinion regarding the match as it was the most thrilling final i have ever seen in my cricketing experience as there was no real winner even after the super over.
It is all about the performance of the players to win a match as well as India concerned so I don’t think that they have played well. They should work on their team because world cup is not a small thing. England played well so they won, there are so many teams who did effort and all of them were having 50 overs but only best team use to win.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Strategy on: July 21, 2019, 07:54:05 PM
When we talk about gambling, strategies were much into discussion. It gives a overlook strategies were the one that gives the winning, which in reality gets a 50-50 chance. To me even when we apply some specific strategy in between the game and if he/she doesn't have luck it will be a loss. Gambling strategies were just a hint that can be used to increase the winning chance.
This is where you are wrong. Gambling strategies won't increase your winning chance rate. If you are playing dice and say that your win chance is set to 50%, no matter what strategy you apply, you win chance won't change a bit and will stay 50%. Strategies just help you to reduce your losses in short run. But, in the long run, the results will always be the same.
100% right. Dice is a very complicated game laden with the uncertainties and probability of loss. I think getting a particular number in dice game is a random output and let’s say is luck but what you do with the number depends on your intellect and your experience and I think you cannot expect luck to strike and save your money every time you gamble in dice. It is a risky investment of your time and money.
I really like your way of thinking mate you said right that we cannot rely on luck only. For not only Dice but for every game we will have to work hard. Search about games rules and make sure you follow it. DICE  is good game so many people use to play dice as it has more chances to win if you will play with confidence.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: July 21, 2019, 07:13:43 PM
Your point with Matched Betting (Bonus Arbitrage) is valid but with my experience in betting over time, I've come to realise that there is no best strategy in betting. If a strategy works cool for you today doesn't mean tomorrow it will be same, its all about luck, although smart work also helps a great deal.

Exactly. Strategies likely do not work for most kind of gamblings except for the skill-based ones. Skill-based gamblings actually require some amount of strategy for making successful predictions
Well for me all games in gambling are skill based because if we are not able to make right prediction how will we be able to win. In this era it is not big deal to polish your skills in games it just need to keep searching and watching games. I think to win a betting game knowledge matters allot.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What importance is kyc In gambling section on: July 21, 2019, 06:45:18 PM
Know your customer (kyc) is one security measure I support and do not hesitate to fill-in all my kyc required details. KYc is being used by exchanges, ico project some bounty managers etc.
But is kyc really needed in gambling section. I experienced a very hectic kyc procedure when trying to register onto a gambling site with them telling me they would get back to me after some day so I wonder what if I got a pressing game I needed to play immediately.
In my own opinion kyc is not of major importance in gambling section. What do you guys think

Nope, Kyc is not needed in gambling in my opinion. And you're right it is only use most frequently in a ll centralized exchange.
And I never see a gambling site that asking for their players to submit Kyc before they start to play in the site.
. Yeah I know some gambling site don’t ask for  KyC but I think it is good to submit the KYC for the cause of safety if they will be afraid of it I am sure no gambler will dare to cheat or scam mostly fiat casino use to ask for KYC but the digital casinos stays online and because of Anonymity they don't ask their gambler to submit KYC.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: July 21, 2019, 06:03:04 PM
We have no assurance to win on gamble, that's why we should not act aggressively by attaching to earn huge amount of money on every game we play. But most people take gamble as an entertainment field which will free from anxiety and believe that win rely on luck.

It is better to treat gambling as entertainment rather than anything else. The money that you will spend in the games should be considered as something that you lost along the way. Don't ever expect that it will get back, threefold or tenfold. Because you will be depressed if you are expecting that it will return even your initial capital.
In general, gambling is entertainment, not a way to earn income.  Permanent profits are the owners of gambling, and not the players.  Although there are still exceptions, when professional players made their games almost a constant source of income.
According to me gambling is both as it gives us entertainment at the same time it allows us to win high amount of money every time. In gambling if we will say that we cannot win so it may distract us so better don't think anything bad just play with all your potential and enjoy while playing don't take stress.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Holders ,be calm on: July 20, 2019, 08:31:43 PM
still holding XRP. tron and Cardano
I know many people say altcoin will die but that won't happen. in the previous year I heard a lot of altcoins actually die until now the altcoin is still valuable. I believe in August altcoin season
It is reality not all coins are beneficial and not all coins have potentials so I’m market some coins has gone and now with time more are being invented. It is all about the users if more people will support and use altcoins it will never die so we should try to promote the coin which we expect to be high I am bitcoin investor which I trust it will never die.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: July 20, 2019, 07:55:28 PM
Ethereum is much younger than bitcoin but managed to win a lot of fans and has undeniable value. I think that there is no fan of the crypt who would not have on the account of ETH
Same as you I bought bitcoin and ETH because I know both of them are good. ETH is not scammed as it is decent and profitable coin so we can buy it same as all other crypto coins ETH has it’s own potential I am sure it will be high there is nothing bad in buying ETH because according to me it going to have good future price.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: July 20, 2019, 07:21:05 PM
No one can escape mistakes,I made lots of mistakes and I'm not even scared of making them because that's the only way i can adjust, mistakes thought us how to get better
Mistakes are part of life we can make mistakes in our life. But in case of business we will have to remain careful while doing business. It is good to be careful while investing and never sell it until price increases. Having patience will help you avoid mistakes and if you do mistake then learn from it to avoid future failers.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have lost 8 letters of my Ethereum private key on: July 20, 2019, 06:34:02 PM
Very little possibility to rediscover the key. I don't think it will come back, unless you try the one suggested above but need a lot of time for that. You can do it, except forget and make a new one. Unless you still hope it will return.
You are right when once you lose your private key then it recovers with problems so better keep it safe at the beginning. We use wallet to store our coin and the safety of our wallet is about the privacy of the private key that’s why it is not good to share your private key with anyone and to avoid forgetting we should write it as a message in our phone.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from crypto in 2018 on: July 20, 2019, 06:08:08 PM
Lessons? The only lesson what I have learned is to buy more cryptocurrencies no matter the price.
Dollar cost average strategy is the best what you can do if you are not sure where market is going.
I also got to know when the price is falling we can buy at low price. When market is down we can buy cheaper and hold till the end of the year. 2018 price was low so we bought at lowest price now we can see it is rising this way we can obtain future saving from it so from 2018 I learnt to be patient.
