801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there such demand for Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2017, 01:37:31 AM
It is entirely true that bitcoin is having less supply and high demand, this is because of the popularity growth and the people are already recognizing its true value since it hits $10k. However, due to bitcoin going mainstream, the transaction charges are getting higher and the network is getting congested. Once it has been developed to its full potential and utilized for its true purpose, bitcoin could replace fiat.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin period of volatility is over? on: December 15, 2017, 06:03:37 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin's volatility is not yet over, the whales are probably just taking a break due to the upcoming holiday season. Due to this resting/consolidation phase, there are so many FUDs spreading like wildfire all over social media right now. This could be an opportunity for every one of us to buy at a lower price before it takes off to the moon by Q1 2018.
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin come down to $1500 again? on: December 15, 2017, 05:48:54 PM
Bitcoin's price going down to $1.5K is possible only if the economy collapsed and another World War started, or, if Internet is gone. Digital Assets by that time would be of no value anymore. There is a possibility but a very low chance of it happening. If ever none of these happened, the price going down will be unlikely and temporarily, because there are many buyers who are waiting to grab a piece at a discounted price which will get the price back up again.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you sure that bitcoin will fall? on: December 15, 2017, 05:39:30 PM
The number of bitcoin addresses is not related to the price movement of bitcoin. Sure, bitcoin's price will fall but also, probably - it will rise up again breaking another all time high. It is currently on its consolidation stage and I personally think, in technical perspective, it has a strong support level and we may not see it fall down to four digits anytime soon.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does it make any sense to buy Bitcoin now? on: December 15, 2017, 04:40:05 PM
In my opinion, yes it does make sense to buy bitcoin now, for the past few months at around $3k, we thought that the price was already high and there are a lot of speculations that the bubble will burst, but, the opposite happened and the price even grew exponentially. Even though it has all the signs of a bubble, it still has the potential to replace fiat in the future and the technology behind it is very useful across the globe. Bitcoin is a revolution in this modern generation just like Internet, smartphone, and other things that we thought before has no value.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin Bubble Burst Again to $6000! on: December 15, 2017, 04:17:31 PM
There is a recent statement by Jordan Belfort AKA Wolf Of Wall Street, he is spreading FUD and we won't know if he's just waiting for the bitcoin's price to fall down too and buy so much bitcoin at a lower price just like what Chase did. He's a known manipulator in trading world and will always grab the opportunity to buy at a discounted price because that is his strategy. What you have to realize is that; if you invest today, make it as your own starting point/$0, then have your own goal and know when to take profit. Greed is good but not too much.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction cost is too high on: December 15, 2017, 03:27:53 PM
It is true that bitcoin's transaction are too high currently which has nearly doubled for the past 3 months, that is because of the massive buying and selling across the world, every single day it is getting hard to mine bitcoins. For me, it is best to wait for the fees to subside, unless I need the money for my expenses, because I am for long term investment and I believe in bitcoin's technology to grow in its full potential.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how safe is bitcoin to use with phone on: December 15, 2017, 03:17:59 PM
Your bitcoin's safety all depends on you. If you are to store your investment in your phone, you should encrypt it, I believe most of the smartphone today have this option and there are apps as well. It is recommit is recommended to use multiple wallets; first is for sending bitcoins to, second is for receiving and third is for storing like in a vault (Offline/Cold wallet). Always check the URL of the sites you are going because phishing sites are lurking out there.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 14, 2017, 05:11:12 PM
In my opinion, both investment is good, there is no best between the two. It all depends on your skills and risk tolerance. I personally am investing in long term and treating it like a savings account, at the same time, I'm also doing short term trading on some of the alts. One needs to study the chart movement and volume traded on an altcoin before doing trading.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything on: December 14, 2017, 02:42:01 PM
In my opinion, yes, bitcoin will change everything if only it has been adapted by the people/go mainstream and they realize the full potential of bticoin to replace fiat. They should know that it can be an alternative to having a bank account and another kind of investment vehicle with risks like stocks, mutual funds, real estate, etc. Though, I doubt it will reach $1M that fast by 2018, give it time like atleast 5-10 years.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet is the best for Bitcoin Now? on: December 14, 2017, 02:30:12 PM
I personally suggest having multiple wallets to avoid being hacked. Have a wallet to be used for receiving bitcoins, a different wallet to be used for sending bitcoins, and another one or a cold storage/hardware wallet to be used to store your bitcoins secretly and offline. I would recommend Ledger Nano S for hardware wallet. Having a storage of your bitcoins means that you are storing it for long term for you not to withdraw easily.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize scam on: December 14, 2017, 02:15:28 PM
Google is your friend when it comes to researching about scams and other ponzi schemes lurking out there. Also, the community here in bitcointalk forum is a great help wherein you will get insight from those who have experience. If it is too good to be true, then there is a high probability that it's a scam.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment regrets! on: December 14, 2017, 02:05:18 PM
Yes sir, you are not the only one who haven't realized bitcoin's value back then, but now you are seeing its true value and potential in the future which is a good thing. We always start at some point wherein we only realize the true value once it has been proven just like btc reaching the price of $10k - to some investors, it's their starting point. What matters most is our goal and how to achieve it. Research and invest in alts to increase your BTC for long term.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: December 13, 2017, 04:07:08 PM
The social media influencing bitcoin's growth to mainstream is somewhat a double-edged sword because of most investors who don't know anything about trading are entering the market. The new generation of investors has a high probability of pumping and dumping therefore affecting the volatility. I hope that somehow they learn eventually about trading short term and better yet, for long term investment.
815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting trade with small amount on: December 13, 2017, 02:41:10 PM
It does not matter how much amount you invest in trading, it's just that make sure you can afford to lose the money that you put in for trading. You also better equip yourself with proper knowledge in trading, know when to cut loss, manage your risk, diversify and study the chart movement. If you do trading in cryptocurrency with altcoins, make sure that you have studied the background of the alts you invest in.
816  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the future of Bitcoin ? on: December 13, 2017, 02:15:52 PM
The future of bitcoin is that it has the potential to replace fiat in the future. There will be lost of benefits but there will also be disadvantages. Bitcoin going mainstream means that it will lessen the supply, therefore, the price will likely increase and skyrocket, it will be attracting many investors who don't know anything about it but will eventually learn from it - jumping the bandwagon. There will be ups and downs like a roller coaster ride for all of us but what we have to do is just to hold on tightly, and enjoy the ride.
817  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin now slowly drop should i sell? on: December 13, 2017, 12:18:36 PM
Everything depends on you. If you have already made profit, it's a wise decision to sell now, so that we can buy more at a lower price. If you are for long term, it is recommended to hold and accumulate as much as you can because it is just a minor correction and not yet at its full potential.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: December 12, 2017, 03:54:15 PM
The Market's volatility in the price of bitcoin is like an Electrocardiogram showing that something is still alive and kicking, if it's flat line then it is dead. Bitcoin is a high risk high reward type of investment, the price skyrocketing is because of new investors coming and being widespread to the mainstream world. It is volatile because it is being traded across the world non-stop.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will be stable Bitcoin Price? on: December 11, 2017, 03:41:20 PM
Bitcoin's price is supposed to be volatile because it is being traded 24/7 and worldwide. We may see it become stable if it has been regulated and centralized by the banks and government but we won't be seeing it anytime soon. There's a lot of improvement needed in the development side of bitcoin, being still on its early stages with a very high value will have a very bright future.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling vs Panic buying on: December 11, 2017, 03:30:39 PM
This is happening in the current market situation but not all investors are panic  buying and selling. It is possible that there are newcomers that have bought bitcoin without knowing the technology and true purpose of it, they were just influenced by their friends who have profited a lot who bought bitcoin at a lower price. We have a new set of investors that keeps on coming because of their emotions but eventually, they will learn from their own mistake and take profit for long term or short term trading if they know how to ride with the whales.
