It is based on the investors if one who needs money immediately then he could go for short term like less than a year or if a person who is earning good money from his profession then he can go to long term for his savings.The profit is based on how long you will keep your bitcoin so long term investment more profits.

Long term investment I think, is much profitable than short term investment. It is obviosu that if an investment is good for a long run, the profit will be bigger in the future. Especially with Bitcoin which market value is continuously increasing. As an investment, Bitcoin is more benefitial as a long term investment knowing that its price is expected to be more expensive in the future.

Yes, I estimate that most of us here really want bigger returns so they are going for long term hold, and besides its worry free. You just have to buy bitcoin and then do nothing and came back after 1 year and see how your money grows.

For short term though, like 3-6 months I guess its also good. Its not that big but at least you have a steady flow of cash after withdrawing your profit.

I also think that for short, much better to go to altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin now. But for long term, its still bitcoin. So its your choice and make the best decision based on what you think is right for you.

If holding it for long yes it will be profitable also but right now the spread in some investment like contract for deference in bitcoin i foud it not good for short deals.

In my own opinion, i think long term investment is better than short term investment in terms of bitcoin. It is because bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies have the capability to increase or lower their price from time to time. As of today, bitcoin's price is continously rising thats why more people are starting to invest into it. Long term investment means you will invest your money for a long time until you can get a profit for about 1000% of money that you invest.

I think long term would be better if the capital is strong enough to withstand the losses , in long term investment it should be a big money to produce basically to have make profit.  Long term investment does not work on low capital as it will only profit rationally. You need to invest. You will learn the market information. It will good to for the future growth. You will learn the information for the future investmet. If need to invst you will choose it. Which will be run long you will invest long time. If need to invest short time. You will gather it which tome to it will close or low. Then you will invest next prices. You will know it befor invest it. You will know the information then you will know where to invest. You Will check the market place you will know short invets or long invest. if you want a quick earnings then you can have the short term investment. This investment is ideal to anyone wwho wants a fastest income but a less earnings than the long term investment. In long term investments, it is a very long process that needs time  and you need to wait a long peroid to earn but this is a very large amount of earnings.

If I were to chooses which one I want to engage with, I will choose the short term investments, because only this type of investments I can afford.

  I think it is not on a long or a short term investment, it also require luck and proper decisions. It is also concern with the financial conditions of the people because many of the users of bitcoin can't afford to do a long term investment in it so in this case I think that the short term investment is also the best option for him and can give him a fine profit.

For me, it depends on the kind of investment you made. Sometimes short-term investments are better than long-term ones and vice versa. For different investments, you made lies many factors that will let you gain as much as possible. In my opinion, both investment is good, there is no best between the two. It all depends on your skills and risk tolerance. I personally am investing in long term and treating it like a savings account, at the same time, I'm also doing short term trading on some of the alts. One needs to study the chart movement and volume traded on an altcoin before doing trading.

If we talk about altcoins then it is short-time investment, but if we talk only about bitcoin or ethereum then the best investment is the long-term type.

In this situation as bitcoin volatility is high you will be surprise that the spread on contract for deference is large also so instead i hold bitcoin for long for good, my investment type is more safer but small return

I would say that for best result and optimum profit you should combine both. Divide your coins for these two purposes, biger amount for long term investment and smaller one for short term investment like daily trading or maybe small amount short term lending. The profit you make on short term or at least part of it invest further on long term sum. This would be my strategy.
