I think people need to understand what the definition of fraud or scam is.
Having unrealistic goals or having your head in the clouds about creating the next Bitcoin or turning on a whole nation into cryptocurrency isn't criminal in character, it's just being naive. Until we see the creator of AUR run off with the premine for instance, any accusation of fraud is questionable at best, having suspicions is one thing but throwing out accusations without evidence is another.
Personally to me the biggest shenanigans of all revolves around Litecoin with its massive amounts of fake volume going on in the Chinese exchanges, one exchange in particular that is owned by the BROTHER of the developer for Litecoin. Imagine if Satoshi's brother opened up an exchange and tried to sell you Bitcoin? I know it wouldn't make me comfortable. But whatever, it is obvious there is a clear schism between the "old crypto money" and the "new" crypto money and the 1st generation has hated most alts from the very beginning so I take any accusations of "scam" with a grain of salt.
Remember, Doge was called a scam and the creator was verbally assaulted and accused that he'd premined a bunch and would run off with it and crash the currency. Not only did this NOT happen, the guy even turned down 500k in venture capital money! How many of the professional trolls in btc-e who spend 8 hours a day trashing alts would have such strong hands? I bet very few.

1)I see people that released coins roughly 8 months to a year ago are very active here. The 8 month limit is obviously to protect coins that you made back then. I'm guessing you want interest to return to your coins so you are targeting others coins and the only reason you can't attack those that arent "innovative" up to your standards is because their hash rate dwarfs yours.
I agree that we need a clean up, but most of the names in this thread make me doubt the reasons.
2) If you truly wish the kill the alt-coin spring part two, you only need to get the exchanges aboard. What with voting of shitcoins allowed on some exchanges....YES YOU CRYPTSY, remove that filthy plan, it's actually fuelling the problem.
Let someone without vested interests in existing coins run this show and i'll sign up otherwise if it's the clowns i used to play with running this gig, i oppose it.
i agree. the system must be democratic, by 2/3 majority, otherwize it does not meet the standard for decentralization. example: OSC is called on to the chopping block. i state the case why it shouldn't be killed. the vote is held, and 33 people vote no and 68 people vote yes on its destruction. In the system, a dev would not be allowed to back out from the agreement, even though it is one of his creations. if the coin survives the forking by some miracle, that would be a different situation, and something we would have to have an agreement about prior to entering into such system. protocols for everything. |

An update on the situation. found account attempting to withdraw a small sum of btc. checking the account showed the following information(balance of 16+ btc, but deposit of only .05. this means the vuln was probably the tx id bug, just a dormant account the hacker planned to drain at a later date in time. there still was a separate attack of the withdrawal queue with fictious withdrawals that occurred the day i announced closing the exchange. it looks like that was an isolated incident now, but i'm still not 100% sure yet: http://pastebin.com/vzZN6eQuvideos screenshots, whatever you like i will post them. it is not my worth my time to argue with ignorant trolls. i'll just prove you wrong instead, which is what i do. i prove people wrong. have a great day. #HONESTY #HARDWORK #NEVERYIELD |

All anyone needs to do is search through r3wt's posts and you will see the pattern. End of story.
