8001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 26, 2017, 08:51:11 AM
The 4th test match between Australia and England starts tomorrow on Boxing Day. Australia will start as favourites in this match. The pre-match barbs have already started, with England saying that Australia lack depth in their bowling and will face problems when their fast bowlers are injured. But in the end, Australia are up 3-0 and will look at whitewashing England in this series.
I strongly feel that Australia will whitewash England this ashes.. Australia’s bowling attack is mind blowing one of the best in the world right now and england bowlers looks week.. not able to take Australian wickets

Oz obviously have an upper hand and chances of them winning this test match is also very bright. England would definitely be down and low on confidence as they have lost their recent matches and now to beat the OZ would require some magical performance by somebody from the team so that they can at least win 1 test match.

Australia should win this test match even though they will be without there main strike bowler Stark. However Bird will be coming in and he has a very good bowling record on this pitch so England won't find it easy. I always look forward to the Boxing day test match and I just hope it won't be a one sided match and England stand up and show some fight.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first and they already scored 135 runs just for one wicket loss. Warner is in a very good form this match. He has scored already 103 runs in 149 balls. If he is around for a long time then it is will a tough time for England bowlers. England needs to take his wicket asap otherwise they may need to chase a lot of runs in this match.
Boxing day match playing at Melbourne looks like not different for England team as the previous three matches. Australia got good start scored 208-3, Captain Smith well set looking for another big score, it will be extremely tough for England if they concede 400+ score. Australians are again favourite to win this match.

Are we really supposed to be surprised the way Aussies have started the match, what were England expecting some respite? They leave their star player home, can't stop their player's from drinking, I am not even surprised that they are being punished, they came in with a negative mind-set and that's what causing them loads of problem's. I believe Aussies shall win this natch with ease as England really have nothing much to offer to them to try and cause a upset.
8002  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm still confused? on: December 26, 2017, 08:44:02 AM
For the  first time, when I move to cryptocurrency world (March 2016) the btc price were around $400... it was risen up to $17000 few days ago... 17000/400 x 100 = it's 4520% growth in 21 months.

There's a popular statement such as, the thing what it is existing next to the risk is the success.

Should I believe it and do what I didn't do 21 months ago?

I think you missed the bus again, Bitcoin went down again and it has rebounded very fast, I don't know what you did 21 months ago, but do follow this formula, buy at every dip and sell when the price's shoot through the moon, if you need the money or else just hodl it. If you buy before 28th you may get free coins (segwit2x), though I'm not sure it's happening. Or go to the collectibles and buy a coin that had btc, you'll get all fork coins to that should make up for your 21 month's stint.
8003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Potential Virus in Facebook Messenger. on: December 26, 2017, 05:18:08 AM
With the growth in value of Bitcoin it's only a matter of time before it's holders are targeted. No I'm not referring to the government, I am referring to hacker's and virus's, this new virus comes at a place where we least expected it, Facebook Messenger, I am really surprised that Facebook has not taken a stand and cleared it. Best thing is to delete that app, scan your phone and clean it up. Good luck every one, and if anyone has any safety solutions do let us know.

8004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't Transfer BTC Because of High TX fee on: December 25, 2017, 10:39:56 AM
In this past few days/weeks along with the increasing value of bitcoin the transaction fee is also increasing rapidly until now.
There are lot of people who works through cryptocurrency and using cryptocurrency to make transactions online and to use as a mode of payment. In short we mostly used transaction in the cryptocurrency industry.

There are two types of people in the cryptocurrency:
1. People that transact big amount of bitcoins.
2. Poor people that transact low amount of bitcoin. (That includes me.)

Since the increasement of the transaction fee i am not able to make any small transaction because of the the high tx fee. A good example is I'm going to transfer a 0.001BTC to my friend as a payment and the transaction fee is 0.0016BTC (Low transaction fee.) People like me is facing a big problem regarding the transaction fee. How about you guys?

Yes it's indeed sad for anyone who uses it, and I can understand the frustration that every one faces. However I feel one can counter this fees impact, by using electrum wallet. Then select the time, I had carried out three transactions during mid day, mid eve and mid night, I ended up paying 12, 6 and 1.45$ in fees which proves it, select your time right and you can save your fees a lot.
8005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: December 25, 2017, 08:17:41 AM
Real Madrid have plans changed now after Zidane said before that he would not make any buying for the next transfer window but now especially after the heavy loss in the Clasico. Their weak attack during the first half of the season. That's why Florentino Perez wants to bring Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi he made it his top priority in the coming winter, even if the club will pay his release clause of 100 million euros the best point is that he will be able to participate with the team in the league , other cheaper target is Aguero City valuate him for 70 Million Euro but unfortunately he cannot be participating in Championsleague.
Today I read the news that Real Madrid can get Liverpool striker Muhamed Sallah for a hundred million dollars. I think that it would be a good signing for Zidane's team.

sallah is really beast on liverpool, it will be good if real madrid can get him.

Yes he definitely is a beast and it will be interesting to see him play along Ronaldo who will be in his last season at Madrid, but then again Zidane wants sallah, question is how longer is Zidane going to stay. He's one of the best coach Madrid had but his time is all but over. If PSG thrashes Madrid, then it's goodbye Zidane he's really done a good job but he should have got rid of bale, and benezema and even Ronaldo long back. This season is all but Barcelona now.
8006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the effect of Bitcoin trading on the CME? on: December 25, 2017, 06:29:43 AM
Just a couple of weeks ago, Bitcoin futures started trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  For those that don't know, this is one of the largest single exchanges for derivatives in the world.  Stock indices, energy futures (e.g. crude oil), forex (Euro, Pound, Yen), bonds... you name it and it's traded on the CME.

What do you think the effect on Bitcoin will be?  Price-wise?  Short term and long term?  How about on BTC's image... will it legitimate cryptos?  Perhaps that might lead to investment funds adding Bitcoin to their portfolios??

Well I'll begin with the positives, it has brought global attention to bitcoin's, has woken up the greedy corporates that are now parking their money in btc. It has opened the way for btc etf. Coming to the negative's it has brought Bitcoin's under tremendous scrutiny, Bitcoin has gone into the hands of the corporate who can make it dance to their tune. The world leaders are upset because of this. I feel this has messed up the coin.
8007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Counter arguments to Bitcoin Cash criticisms of BTC on: December 25, 2017, 06:26:10 AM
Hello

having recently read an article on bitcoin.com about the problems with Bitcoin Core and how BCH addresses these, the obvious question that comes to mind is why the BTC developers rejected the changes to the block size. How do they plan to solve the congestion, delays and high transaction charges on the BTC blockchain? What's wrong with increasing the block size?

I'm sure this has already been written about ad infinitum. I'd appreciate any links people know of to good existing articles on the subject.

Many thanks

Nigel

This issue was to be solved by bringing segwit2x, however it never materialized in November, there is another segwit2x out there and I'm not exactly sure it will work. If you see now electrum wallet allows segwit transactions, however I'm not doing them. Also saying btc cash is easy and less expensive, I tried to transact 2$ and it showed me a fees of 300$😂, must be a glitch I don't know. I'm sure, this will get sorted soon.

This is funny lmao, I have been saying it all along, all this white people will definitely hold this coins, make them tank and they'll buy at lower rates, then sell at high rates. I am wondering to see if Jamie comes and say hello people I hodl Bitcoins and then he's fired by morgan that could really be epic, that guy spit so much unnecessary fire on bitcoin. I hope more and more people open up.
8009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am looking for a different gambling. please recommend on: December 24, 2017, 12:32:29 PM
Hi guys

Is there any more interesting and different gambling?

I just want to try something different in the form of gambling.

please recommend sites

thanks you

This is such a vague question, how do you expect us to even answer such kind of question? If you're bored of Fiat gambling then you could check out sites like bitdice, pd, chipmaker these allow you to play with bitcoins and they have variety of game's for your pleasure, you'll be able to enjoy them all, plus even have chat rooms to help you make good decision and select more games. Hope this helps you.
8010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have NEVER seen Bitcoin in such a sorry state as this!! on: December 24, 2017, 12:06:33 PM
Several transactions of mine have gone with 0 confirmations in the past several days.  And some of those I was paying 1.5X or 2X the recommended fees.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zilch.

Bitcoin has gone from being an expensive network to use to a practically unusable network.  I was defending Bitcoin against millions of tards back in 2011 and 2012.  Are they going to have the last laugh on me now?  It pisses me off to actually see some of you defending this too and saying "this is the way Bitcoin is supposed to work".  Umm... NO IT IS NOT .

I have ZERO confidence left in Core and their "developers".  Their network can't handle the slightest bit of volume without totally seizing up.  And then Adam Back is out there with the press talking about Bitcoin vendors and merchants running a tab system??  Really??  You can't do your job properly so you want people to run a tab in BTC??  You saw this coming from 10 miles away and did nothing about it.  Stupid or malicious?... you decide.

I will be converting my remaining BTC to BCH, Dash, XMR and coins that actually work! And coins that have teams that have at least a Grade 7 level understanding of economics, ie.. "when you are at capacity, you open more locations".  And not throw out "but but centralization!!" juvenile red herrings!

Long time Bitcoiner of 6 years here saying, "SEE YA LATER! CASHING OUT NOW!"

What site or which wallet are you using? I had done three transaction and each one thousand each, and I paid 12$, 6$ and 1.45$ as fees and they confirmed in less than a hour. I think you should use electrum wallet, I feel that's the best does the work quickly and effectively, not really sure what's wrong but I feel it's only a matter of time before it gets sorted out, just hang on don't loose faith just yet.
8011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: am i missing any coin on: December 24, 2017, 12:02:28 PM
Hello guys i invested around 40000$ on below coins.. am i missing any coin to invest please suggest me.. if any coin have bright feature let me know so that i can add it to my portfolio ..

DGB
SC
XRP
LTC
BTS
STRAT
ETH
BTG
XVG
EOS
BCD
TRX
Electronium
Power ledger
OMG
NGC
PRS
Vertcoin
BTC

You invested in so many coins, you should have kept your money in Bitcoins only. Since you like to diversify redeem some of your non performer's and put them in btc cash that has lot of potential, iota another coin that you can have a look at. If you're willing to take a risk, then check out deeponion it was 45 cents and went to 4$ that has good potential going ahead. I'm not really sure how segwit2x will be, but worth to wait and see it.
8012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will this affect sports gambling ? on: December 24, 2017, 09:05:00 AM
For the football fans, especially those who play sports gambling, In your opinion : what has happeed  last summer in the transfer window and the price explosion of players. We witnessd, and for the first time in history, a transfer cost more than 200 000 000 euro !  That transfer affected  the price even of normal players, like Romelu lukaku who left for Man united for 100 000 000 euro. Do you think all that will have a good or bad result on gambling ?

You seem to be drunk? Lol its Christmas we understand but drunken posting is bad op. How will the transfers ever effect gambling? As a sports gambler, I don't care how much has that team spend, for me it will matter how their current form is, what's their morale. Say lukaku I know he's having a bad phase and I bet with my friends he won't score and I won handsomely, if your logic is to be applied he's an expensive player but that didn't effect my gambling habits at all.
8013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 24, 2017, 09:01:38 AM
I think this January football transfer will be crucial for some club especially Real Madrid. If Perez and co will not take seriously then RM will face a disaster in the coming year. Already they are 14 points behind from their Title contender. On the other hand, they are taking in the UCL against PSG. So they are not in a good position at a current position.
so that That coming transfer should be taken seriously as well as take some good players regarding some position. especially, GoalKeeper and Striker. They feel badly need of a striker...

Yes this is true, RM are a disaster this season, they need heavy reinforcements if they are able to get a third champion league, however with inform Psg it's extremely difficult if not impossible task. I feel Zidane is feeling the axe. Also if Psg fails their coach is sacked. I have a very good feeling that Mourinho shall be sacked before the end of this seasons, the way he's been ranting around, next season I see him at RM or Psg, he just can't face Pep lol. I expect a wholesale player exit for Manchester United this winter window, blind, felliani, mikitayan and who knows they might buy ozil and Sanchez.
8014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you still looking for best gambling site that suits your luck on: December 23, 2017, 12:02:40 PM
I would like to invite all of you if you still dont have an account on the following sites:

Freebitco
Bitsler
Primedice
Luckygames
Duckdice
Stake
Yolodice
Zoomdice

I am doing this to earn in order to help those kids on streetwalks. I think this is not very nice idea for others but I just want to help them. I am raising some of my money to help them but not enough thats why I am trying now to invite players who would play on the following sites in order to received referral comissions.
You can DM me on telegram [urlhttps://t.me/jercess18]@jercess18[/url] in order to ask for link.
Your every roll counts for every child. If I would suceed on this fund raising I will be glad to post those persons who have been part of it.

Best regards!

Did you just keep bitdice out of the best site list, how are you even a gambler if you keep the most popular site out of the league. So basically you'll pay them to play for you, or they have to pay you to earn through the site, what kind of logic are you using, I would advise people to take care unless someone can vouch his services, I personally like to gamble on my strategies rather than other's but will see if people can vouch for you.
8015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 23, 2017, 10:50:47 AM
I am sort of satisfy with a draw for these two teams. If they had some players sit off due to injury or just for the time of year with the year winding down, I then can see the main players not being on the pitch thus the so called being disjointed play everyone is talking about.
Atleast there were alot of goals scored, 6 in all, so that keeps the fans happy with those and bettors as well who bet over in the goals scored today.
This came did not count as a loss to either team.

I think fair result
because 2 team in today is good play, and final result 3-3
but iam sad, because liverpool lead 0-2, but arsenal can back an 3-2, before robert firmino created goal , 3-3
amazing  match 19 minute created 5 goal, from salah minute 52 and end goal this match robert firminino minute 71

Arsenal vs Liverpool really deserve to be the most waiting match. Although in fact I was disappointed because the Liverpool defense was once again very bad, but I was satisfied watching a tense match for me. Liverpool are leading 2 goals in minute 5O but turned 3-2 behind in just 7 minutes. Prove that Liverpool's defense is one of the worst.

Arsenal are a joke for me this season, first they fail to get the deals for Sanchez and Ozil and then they fail to win a winning match, about time they relive wenger. Manchester City is expected for another win, nothing seems to stop them.

Manchester United match is very crucial if they loose, it's all but over, even though there is a big difference but yet it's not over till it's over
They need to win all the matches from now on. I expect them to win 2-1.
8016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Q for Bitcoin gamblers. Are you affected by high transaction fees? on: December 23, 2017, 10:46:09 AM
I asked the same question for the Bitcoin casino representatives here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2595617.0

But I did not get many, or any, answers from them. Hahaha. Maybe they do not want to admit it, but of course it affects them and most importantly also you!

First I want to get some feed back from you, the users. How negatively affected are you by the high fees in the Bitcoin network? Does it make you stop gambling?

The good news is there is a solution for that problem. It is using Segwit! Let us campaign and start asking our favorite gambling sites to have Segwit enabled and implemented.

For the users, my advice would be to stop using Blockchain.info and replace it with GreenAddress.it. If you are using a mobile wallet, use Samourai. If you want to make a Segwit enabled wallet in Electrum with the standard "3 addresses" then follow these steps

Quote
Generate a BIP39, 12 words seed on https://iancoleman.io/bip39/, you can also use it offline for more security.

On electrum choose, create new wallet, I already have a seed, then on "options" choose BIP39, paste the seed then click next.

On derivation path path use: m/49'/0'/0'/0

Easy! Tell your friends to do the same.

Definitely every one is effected but then on the other hand I don't mind till my privacy is protected, plus the comfort to play from home. Then there is always added benefit that when I cashout the prices have already increased so that's cherry on the cake.

I am confused how did you say segwit can be implemented as segwit2x is not yet ready, how did you do it in electrum wallet. I am waiting to cashout segwit2x in electrum and gamble lol.
8017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins would it take for you to Quit Gambling Forever? on: December 23, 2017, 09:02:20 AM
For and addicted gambler, no amount of profit will stop them from gambling because they are addicts.

For reasonable people though this is not true and one might stop after winning a set amount of money. But there's no end of greediness.

In my case, I will stop after winning 10 BTC because I'll be too busy Driving my Porsche instead of Gambling^^

How many BTC it would take for you to quit gambling and why? Or, if any amount of BTC would make you quit gambling at all.

I think it's very difficult to pick a certain number, why I'll tell you. Give a gambler money to live his life king size and he'll definitely gamble the very next moment he gets to gamble. Gambling and gambler can't stay away from each other for long. They just have to gamble, and it's a fact that we gambler's won't ever stop lol. If I have to pick a number maybe satoshi's coin would do the trick for me.
8018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Bitcoin... 253044 Unconfirmed trx and almost 10 days on: December 23, 2017, 08:39:42 AM
Completely to out of bitcoin right now.....
This problem just about to blow....since last few week, lot user experiencing long confirmation delay which its not very good at all.
Solution will come in few month where unconfirmed transaction will react 500K trx....and it mean more than 3Billion USD in value stuck in network....i completely lost faith in bitcoin

See you on another life

data: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

I don't really understand how this gets so bad? Whenever I have transacted it happens in a matter of minutes, could this be due to the possibility of low fees that people pay or small amount of transaction that's why this network gets jammed? I don't really understand how and why this issue is not solved as of now? I hope things get sorted out very soon, not good news for the crypto king.
8019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: December 22, 2017, 12:14:25 PM
Very difficult to find instant money if there is no gambling.
No one will waste money just because of the game. Cheesy
Haha you are right. But look on the bright side, there is a great trader born of gamblers as well. Because of speculation in risking money, it is only in gambling games only.

I agree to disagree here, it's not all about instant money, while I do agree the end goal is to make money, how would you get that thrill, no experience can give you kind of experience from seeing red turning to green. Or when your team is 1-1 and suddenly scores to win. If gambling wasn't there, money is secondary, the thrill, fun all would be gone. One would never know how to enjoy in life, anymore it would be so dull, so lifeless.
8020  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason behind Bitcoin Dip (Crash) on: December 22, 2017, 09:35:59 AM
I would like to understand the main reason behind the bitcoin dip/crash (whatever it may be). Currently BTC is trading at 12.5K on preev.com, and I am beginning to become scared as to what the near future may hold for bitcoin.

Is this a Bitcoin crash? Or is it a crypto crash too? Is it just the holiday season or something else? We can also see on coinmarketcap.com that in essence, almost ALL alt-coins are also down by a similar amount in %.

Hold or sell, what do you think?

PS: Please don't just spam this thread with:"Sell now, it will crash" or "Don't worry, it will go up". Base your points on facts that drive the discussion forward, not just general terms that have been already written down many times before.

Every time Bitcoins crashes, this kind of questions rises, no this is don't you worry child it won't crash or sell reply, just hold your horse's op, Bitcoin crashed last time to when segwit2x was announced, couple with Rogers selling his coins, panic was about to set In, just check the charts after every such news Bitcoins bounces 300 - 500% and so it shall. That's the history of Bitcoin, just look at the charts and you'll get your answer.
