Few days left

Watching closely

It is exciting as my 70k is at least still possible.

You ran a fun game with a very generous prize. Thanks again.
8102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: December 02, 2021, 07:22:46 PM
hmm we have 40 numbers in the 60’s

30 days left in the month.

Wonder if we can add at least 10 numbers over 60000 by the 31st.

I say we do. My fingers are crossed 🤞.
8103  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitdrain: automatic drain/forward tool for exposed keys on: December 02, 2021, 12:53:27 PM
I gave op a merit. For attempting to disclose accurately the potential wrong his service can do.

He also posted a good thread in meta in an effort to understand why his first topic was deleted.

So basically if his service works you can do a lot of wrong with it.

You also could do some good with it.

I do not trust or distrust him.  The merit is for his effort to follow forum rules.

In a way this is like an AK-47. It can do good by killing a very evil person, but more likely will be used to kill people that are not that evil.

---snipped---
The more the adoption the less the volatility, you are perfectly accurate about this.

dec 7 is coming who will be the winner. we are at 56430 right now.
The support is still at a price above $50000, the last time I checked, bitcoin price plummeted to $53700. $60000 resistance is also very strong.  My prediction may not be accurate as no one is even accurate if to predict the price of bitcoin in just short term, I am predicting the winner will be within $50000 to $ 60000 price range.

yeah you could be correct.  I am thinking under 50 is less likely than over 60 but the 50-60 range may hold the winner.

Another advantage of course is that using multiple xmfrs lets you power down smaller blocks of miners if the power feed to them needs attention or modification. They will of course also still need to supply a modicum of 120V service for general building usage such as lighting, office outlets etc.

yeah we have two like your link and could add two more.

also one smaller 120 is there.

in the summer we run two large 5000 cfm fans blowing on the 480 trannies (no. puns)

Or go with the common 480v route for incoming line voltage and use a few 3-phase 50kVA buck-boost autotransformers to get the desired 240v phase-to-neutral https://store.maddoxtransformer.com/collections/general-purpose-600v-class-dry-type-transformers/products/3-phase-autotransformer-multi-tap-600v-480v-400v-240v-208v
Fed by the 480V 400A main panel, using multiple xmfrs lets you add capacity as needed instead of going all-in at one time.

we have them
8109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Experiment of bringing back a dead coin. on: November 30, 2021, 10:54:22 PM
Either way. Dead coins are hard to revive. Many new holders would be scared of some old adopter just depositing their old coins and causing a market crash.

That is why scammers create new coins and hype it and let the dead coin dead, reason why once the bullrun is over many sell everything they have, they know how it works, they trap sheeps at top and once it starts crashing sheeps dont sell, sheeps usually sell at bottom of the bottom, manipulators/wolves create the top and sell at the top and then they dump it all, in march 2020 chainlink crashed to 0.01, today is 25 usd and it got to almost 40 usd top. As soon as this market crashes sheeps will see what hehell crash is really like, hehell crash will not be like june 2021 crash, it will be hundreds of times for altcoins, btc will crash around 80%, eth will crash around 90% at best, at worse around 97%.

you have been hypong crash crash crash crash since jan or feb 2021 so you are around 10 months wrong so far.

maybe one day you will be right. lets us see
8110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 100% fan speed RTX 3080 ? on: November 30, 2021, 07:11:19 PM
The high fan speed is not the problem, the heat causing the high speed is.
You need to improve heat dissipation and make some noise with large fans.
Or detune the GPU and lose performance.

he is not getting performance he is simply killing his gpu.

at op

lower the memory clock

lower the power setting

get the 108c to drop under 99c

work at that and get back to us.

Set the power to 225 or 230 not 250

set the ram to 1000 not 1300

see what happens

also sorry i didnt want to open multiple threads,
this is my other rig running a 1200w sea sonic PSU
how are my settings looking ?? and can we go higher on those cards or not ?...
http://grabilla.com/0bb1d-160323f9-8e38-4ca7-b06d-b2f37d6a27ef.png

you have 61mh on every card your watts are set around 130 that is pretty good.

you could lower watts by 5 on each card and see if you stay at 61 mh.

i do not see the ram settings

sometimes they fail after a day of mining and revert back to stock clocks, even when i was doing just 60mhs Sad what reasons for that besides ram heating up ??

i noted here:
http://grabilla.com/0bb1d-160323f9-8e38-4ca7-b06d-b2f37d6a27ef.png

its 1300 for all cards, is it safe ?

now trying to see if it is stable...

note: i am on nicehash and i noticed when nice hash decides to mine on octopus (guess CFX) the 230 power limit for the 3080 is really insufficient giving me just 70 mhashes, how to go about that since nicehash decides automatically what ALGO to mine  Huh Huh Huh

thanks,

your ram is overclocked and over heats. this means shorter life.

when you do nicehash you can do only eth with proper benchmark settings.

http://grabilla.com/0bb1e-4c76dfa7-7b74-40ab-bc0c-e6394b890c51.png

are we doing ok now ?

what is a safe VRAM temp for 24x7 mining on the 3080 ?

Hypothetical question: can i increase to 1300 **STABLY** if the temps were in the safe VRAM temps for my 3080 ?

am going on a 3 months vacation and keeping the rigs run 24x7, is it safe to keep at 100% fan speed ?...

many thanks indeed,,,,

those numbers are better.

safer. try manually setting gpu fans to 90%

and try adding a  plug into the wall box fan to the mix.

all in the name of keeping gear long lasting and cool.

that 98 ram number is much safer than 104 to 110
8111  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2021, time for a new general & diff speculation thread... on: November 30, 2021, 06:47:41 PM
they provide 85 to 102 kwatts 24/7/365

Phil, what kind of magical solar panels do you have that produce electricity 24 hours from 24?  Grin

It is still a huge amount of power being used and yes, more power than many small countries use. Then again, just 2-3 large aluminum smelters also 'use more power than many small countries'. It is a drop in the bucket vs other data-based enterprises.

I always said rather than going defensive like a zealot it's better to understand why it does so, and it's because poeple see it as an economical activity that brings profit and that profit is supported by the utility poeple see it in it. If demand for aluminum would drop those smelters will consume a lot less, if we switch everything to aluminum you will see another 100 pop up, if a new religion takes over goodbye porn and goodbye Christmas lights but maybe we will use more power to build the mandatory sacrificial altar that every house needs to have one.

It is what it is and that's the end of it, comparisons are just waiting around the corner to bite you in the ass

510/6 = 84 daily hourly average

510/ 5 = 102 daily hourly average

510 is peak

factor of five is for a sunny year.
factor of six is for a wet year.

So with net metering the meter runs backwards from about 10am to 4 or 5 pm. and forwards as sun is setting. of course i know you are joking 🙃 but some may not.

oh diff is tanking -4% at the moment.

still very early.

8113  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2021, time for a new general & diff speculation thread... on: November 30, 2021, 03:45:02 AM
I personally am directly involved in a :

45 kwatt solar array
a

115 kwatts solar array

a

350 kwatt solar array

total 510 kwatts grid tied arrays

they provide 85 to 102 kwatts 24/7/365

all created due to demand and profits from mining.

so 8760 x 85 in a rainy year

to 8760 x 102 in a sunny year.

so 744000 to 893000 fully clean kwatts

now you can argue they used some carbon and crap to build them but not much energy to make them.

So BTC can be used with ease to create demand and profits from a solar array.

Note the 45kwatt is working as I type been online for six months
the 115 kwatt is working as I type and was paid off in the 2017 runup

the 350 kwatt is being built right now.

So the writer of that article is either willingly lying or really ignorant about btc being able to help the worlds electrical infrastructure.

If I had  more investors  we could get some 2000 kwatt arrays built

the math is there for this to work.

Now a new variant a new booster shot.

the booster shot is just a firmware update for the 5g nanobots

pretty forward thinking actually, make that mind control tech last.

Well no matter which side you stand on the longer it stretches out the more concerned you get.

If I were 25 I would kind of feel future fucked to s9me degree 📜.

At 64 and having had a decent amount of “fun” years I guess I am more or less yeah at least I got to do whatever and have some real fun.

Its funny all my kids died via miscarriages It was very painful to lose them without ever really having them.  Now that the world 🌎 likes very weird and somewhat on the verge of wholly fucking shit , not having those kids or grandkids is somewhat less painful.

I only hope it settles in to a calmer less fucked up world for all of us.
8115  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo BTC Software/Image and Support thread on: November 30, 2021, 02:13:54 AM
I merited last three posts.

In the long run If BTC fails the other coins will all fail.

So primary goal should be to stack btc.

but yeah you can mine with a fuck a round coin like XEC hoping for a spike like doge did when it went from 0.002 cents to 78 cents.

Now personally I mine

1300 th on btc
   27 th on xec
     2 th on bch

the 2th is this apollo,

so it is easy to see i prefer btc over any coin.
8116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 30, 2021, 01:53:27 AM
Jack is not censoring as much as Facebook and Google. That and because he is supporting Bitcoin are the reasons he had to go. No, he did not quit himself. He had to go because he is not playing along with the agenda in power. Just as they got rid of so many presidents in Afrika and as they got rid of Austrias president 2 months ago, just in time for Austrian insanity. I am sure the ex president was against lockdowns and vaxx mandates. So they published some dirt about him and he had to step back. They made Japans president who was against lockdowns in the beginning of the plandemic step down as well. They control everything. And Ghislaine Maxwells trial will lead to nothing. All the pedophile politicians, Sports, Music and Hollywood stars are safe and protected by the agenda. Maybe they throw some unimportant ones in the fire to make the masses think there is democracy.

Then why is Sweden still "allowed" to not have any lock downs, forced vaccinations, severe restrictions, and not using face masks etc? Are we the control group in a large scale experiment?
Anyho, the head of the Swedish CDC said that the new variant will not make any difference in Swedish restrictions because we still know to little about it and what little we know doesn't seem to point to it being particularly bad, just possibly a little more contagious. His words, not mine.

you are a control at the one end and the Island of Mauritius 🇲🇺 is the control on the other end.

Btw Mauritius 🇲🇺  has one of the lowest infection rates on the planet 🌏. Which simply means next to perfect Isolation of a million people means next to zero disease.

8120  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How is PPLNS calculated for AntPool? on: November 29, 2021, 04:29:16 PM
So if I understand well, in PPLNS it actually does not matter whether the block is or is not found while I push shares to the pool. All that matters is how many shares I push to the pool over period of time and then I am getting rewards after blocks are found. I do not need to hit the block, I only need to provide shares, right?

okay if you are not mining your shares drop off.

so you will be punished if you stopped mining on the pool.
