The fact that many people actually took this is kinda astonished. Messi isnt really that good when he is playing for Argentina and I doubt that he would have scored any if it wasnt for the penalty. Is there any proof that he is reason why people lost their money? I am not very sure. I feel like he mainly spent his last days to clear his name, portray himself as saviour of FTX customers. Bottom line, you can find lots of tournaments and do not have to go with the first one.
