821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 03:29:20 PM
I am a crypto enthusiastic and i know a 90% of people here on bitcointalk are as well.
There are a lot of altcoins in the market today. What should one look out for before investing in any altcoin
As a trader or investor you would normally choose up the altcoins which you do see that has the potential to give your profits in a matter of time but knowing this kind of thing is really a hard thing on most traders which we cant really able to know on what would happen ahead that is why as a trader or investor we would really make anytime speculation moves when it comes on price prediction.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcons are just empty numbers on the internet without any value or legal power on: October 08, 2017, 03:09:45 PM
The OP explain about the fiat money that there's no relationship with bitcoins, he is believe in the banks power and the government that control the fiat money, even after they take the value of money due to inflation in fiat, he still said bitcoins were just empty numbers on the internet without any value or legal power, the big reason many people who invested into bitcoins due to system of fiat money was failed.
Not at all. People didnt really invest to bitcoin because they saw fiat money system was a fail.Im sure it would really be on other purpose which is on making money not totally on its innovation.I might be wrong but these are just my opinion and perception. Fiat system would still remain no matter what since its been backed by government always and we cant do anything about it.Just let bitcoin stand on his own field.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that digital currencies will replace Fiat? on: October 06, 2017, 01:16:50 AM
I know it may not be possible right now, but do you think fiat will be gone in the future?
No,its not possible for cryptocurrencies to replace traditional local fiat currencies because government wont really let that thing to happen.Thinking off that cryptos are decentralized which it cant really be considered to be come a main currency in the world. It would just still remain on what it is just like now.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: tax on: October 05, 2017, 09:38:40 PM
Bitcoin is subject to capital gains tax in the UK, similar to a secondary property and all manner of assets. I would have thought most countries wouldn't distinguish how you've earned your money, they would just like a slice of it. Those trying avoid tax at all costs should be careful as governments can act retrospectively if they believe they've been shorted.
Just a normal thing that government would really impose taxes for the sake of economic improvements on a certain country and they would normally act on those tax evaders but if we do speak on hiding our asset on bitcoin form i would say it would be an another story.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in October on: October 05, 2017, 09:03:14 PM
Guys, I suggest in this thread to share thoughts on the ICO in September. I'll start first.

1. Powerledger

Presale for a fixed price ended successfully, the sale will begin, there is a real opportunity to buy tokens cheaper, because the price is not fixed. The project itself is also interesting.

2. Spheris Cool project, decentralized application store

3. Aventus Can be interesting , ticket sales, good project
Add up on the list Cartaxi. This is really a good project which it is World's first operating car towing platform on blockchain and as of now on its ICO they are already accumulating almost 6k ETH in a matter of 1 week and still we do have 24 days left until the ICO finish which means theres lots of time to put our money on.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have Bitcoin fees lowered after SegWit? How and Why ? on: October 05, 2017, 08:41:11 PM
Is this a joke? Because I can't notice any drop in the fees. Even yesterday I paid a combined $7.50 for two small transactions. A few weeks back, it was OK. I was paying around BTC0.0001 for some of my transactions. But since then, there has been a big jump in the fee.
Seconded on this one. I experience sudden change of fees which it becomes cheaper and later on it goes back into its ridiculous rate this is the thing why i dont make such active transactions because the fees hurting me too much and asking to my mind whats the purpose of that fork if the fees are still the same.lol
827  Economy / Economics / Re: Jamie Dimon Calls Bitcoin A 'Fraud' on: October 05, 2017, 08:11:11 PM
See news report here.

His point that governments will never allow Bitcoin to take off, which would mean their loss of monetary power, is reasonable on the surface, even to seasoned finance professionals.

But it's hard to believe the head of JP Morgan Chase not understanding the history of gold and silver standards.  Of the last five centuries of modern Western history, only over the last 45 years was the chief imperial currency not explicitly pegged to non-state money (gold and/or silver), and these years saw more than their fair share of instability.

In fact, the elites have never really abandoned precious metal standards, because they can't.  The evidence is more than solid that they have secretly manipulated gold and silver prices down over the last decades.  This is no different from gold and silver standards, if you think about it.  Only that, in modern times, the 'pegging' against precious metals is more flexible and not explicit.

Ultimately, the modern Western imperial-financial system doesn't have enough hard power to force its money onto the world.  It must rely on the fiction that its money is worth a certain amount of state-free money that is truly trusted by the public to hold its value, one way or another.  (And if that state-free money is crypto, they can even do their pegging cheaply and without embarrassment.)

The only state that *did* have enough power to impose its fiat money was China after about 1000 AD, as the Chinese empire was a centrally controlled universe unto itself.  Even there, after a few centuries that ended in disastrous inflation, China went to physical silver.

But no, I don't think Dimon is ignorant.  He's likely playing his part in the elites' control of Bitcoin's price.  There's a decent chance he advised his relatives to load up on Bitcoin after his comments!

We should ignore haters Like jamie dimons. Its true every person has their own point of view but it doesn't effect on bitcoin neither there price. China banned ICO JP morgan say bad words about this currency what they gain at the end ? Did bitcoin came to an End ? Did people stopped using the bitcoins. No, the price is still high, and everyone using it .
Its not surprising these kind of news everywhere on where there are lots of haters on bitcoin and even china did ban ico and close exchanges but bitcoin stood strong no matter what theres a strong support on it which we can really see that the price hasnt affected too much which signifies bitcoin can stand no matter what would be the fuds or issues thrown at it.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which alt coin should i buy today on: October 05, 2017, 07:24:28 PM
Try buying ETH, it has a lower price for now and it can be a good start for your investment in altcoins. ETH is a promising altcoin so you can assure that you will earn a higher profit. Also, try BCH it will give you more profit. These two altcoins are good altcoins so you are safe in investing these two altcoins.
I would definitely go for ETH if we are speaking for long term and specially on bitcoin wont really be remove on my list since this thing would be always to save up on my wallet. For BCH i dont see any hopes for this for long term since this coin would be only good for short term.
829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to earn monthly income with Bitcoin/Altcoin trading?? on: October 05, 2017, 06:50:04 PM
How to earn monthly income with Bitcoin/Altcoin trading with small capital like 0.1 BTC??? Is it possible to earn good income with 0.1BTC??

Are you willing to the risk of letting your 0.1BTC go? If yes then you are already on your way to begin somewhat serious trading. Though, 0.1BTC might be expensive in some countries but you can easily earn that same amount or greater if you invest it on a promising altcoin such as Golem, Waves, Qtum and Stratis which can double or triple your investment within a few months. Yes, it is possible to earn a good income with 0.1BTC but again don't expect that much.
Those coins you do mentioned are good and does have potential but doesnt have an assurance that you would able to make money on them and also OP do search up for monthly basis which he wont really tend to go for long term like 3 months or more.Short trading would be the best suggested thing on here.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Trading Truly Profitable on: October 05, 2017, 04:37:42 PM
For all of your die-hard Altcoin traders out there, share some input on your experiences or strategies you may have implemented/utilized to find success. I myself have had my fair share of dumb luck (knock on wood) but i'm interested to hear what some of you legends have to say.
If trading altcoin not profitable, there will be no bittrex, liqui and other exchangers. All the exchangers market new tokens and altcoins. The traders of course make a lot of profit by the rising price of altcoins. Sometimes the profit can be 300 %, depend on how good the traders.
300% is real and even 1000% is reachable and possible here on this altcoin trading world. And as you said if altcoin trading is not profitable then there would be no exchanges and there would be no popping out ICO everynow and then in the market.
831  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: October 05, 2017, 03:47:13 PM
Since then the price has been going up. I think bitcoin is still at early stages and we should keep buying now as in years to come, were we are today may be a child play compared to were we are going. Just about five months ago that you opened this thread but today bitcoin is above $4000 and we are still going up. If the issues in China become things of the past by 30th September, it then mean by October bitcoin may break $5000 level as this resistance area is very significant for us.
Yes I agreed on what you just said here, as long as bitcoin is not reaching 5000$ it is still good time buy more of it. Just every time ther is dropping the value happen, always take the chance to buy a huge of it, so in the end at the right period of time to sell it we are all happy for sure.
There is always having a price correction on bitcoins price which this thing do really normally happens anytime. That is why as a trader or investor its always been wise to invest into those price dips because we do know the volatility of bitcoin is really there which can possibly generate income on the shortest period of time.
832  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: October 04, 2017, 09:08:59 PM
I'm used to the core wallet... I guess I'll stick to that!  Grin
Good choice and i do have the same wallet that im using too.Less risky compared into those web wallets in the market as of now.The hard thing at first is to download all the blockchain but somehow worth it when it comes to security as long you dont expose the keys.
833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: October 04, 2017, 08:37:41 PM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?
Time is not the problem, the problem is how you manage it. Usually I trade at night since during the day I don't have enough time to do that. However, sometimes its a bit difficult since you come back from work, you are tired and you just want to rest. But if you plan on how you are going to use your time, you will be able to do all the above mentioned activities.

I usually read news updates about bitcoin and altcoins at work since I am forever on the net, sometimes bitcointalk.
Its really a hard thing to manage our time because sometimes our body doesnt really got used to it and do tire if we do exert too much effort into things but somehow as we do keep on doing it for a matter of time and be treated as part of our daily routine later on we wont really find this thing to be hard anymore. If you can able to handle both things then expect the potential good effect when it comes to financial would really be there.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's future on: October 04, 2017, 08:01:58 PM
I think more and more governments will regulate ICOs

yes, it will happen
but more and more ICO's will come anyway
just regulated ones
its even better i think - more money will actually go to the market and not to scams
and there still will be a way to invest anonymously with kmd Cheesy
If theres a regulated ICO then expect there are still people who would still stick into the traditional decentralized ICO.They know the risk compared on centralized but there are still people who would love to invest on that way.I do agree on the thing have been said that apps store but most of them are really trash.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: October 04, 2017, 07:15:16 PM
Some airdrops require wallet download, this can contain trojans
some you need to fill in too many details, you are setting yourself up to get hacked Cheesy
i dont think your ETH can be stolen by just posting your public address, but if you post it with your name and email someone might be able to hack your email, which could contain info of your crypto.
Always be carefull!

No possible without private key, even if someone hack your email, get your name etc.
No key, no coins.

Always be careful! <-- true.
Its just really normal to think of that if there no key- no coins would really be stolen but saying that they do have the access on our emails isnt really good at all since they can possibly make use of it and the other valuable informations inside it.Just like mine my main email do have lots of transactions when it comes to money and being used mainly for email verifications on my online web wallet which it can somehow be very dangerous.
836  Economy / Economics / Re: The value of bitcoin? on: October 04, 2017, 06:49:45 PM
If the gold value was based on what it takes to mine it then the price wouldn't be so high. After all, they use slave children to mine and pay the families peanuts. There are several but the most significant parameter is the quotation established by the "fixing".

If the volatility is not something that people can handle then the cryptocurrency market is certainly not for them. Because there is not a lot much more volatile than cryptos
Agree on what you are saying here. When it comes to volatility i would hands down on cryptocurrencies because nothing on this world would able to equal when it comes to price movements. This is the risk and this is the golden way to make money. This is why bitcoin and other altcoins do gain popularity because of this characteristics.
837  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Scam or legit on: October 03, 2017, 08:00:26 PM
I am pretty new to bitcoin and have basically been using faucet sites to get started.
I know faucets are slow and labourious but at least they are giving me an insite into how bitcoin works
Cloud mining is something that i am seeing advertised a lot.
People will say it is a scam
Some people will say it is not a scam I know that

I would just like everyones opinion on it if that is ok

So is cloud mining a scam yes or no

Reasons why appreciated

Many Thanks
"SCAM"
Stay away from these things since they would just scam out your money and ended up on getting broke.Dont believe on anything which do offer too good to be true returns on a short period of time but yet there are service which do offer cloud mining which is genesis and hashflare but still i wont recommend these stuffs because mining isnt really profitable already as the days goes by considering on the mining difficulty.
838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short trading on: October 03, 2017, 07:35:29 PM
Wow! Thanks for this update. Its time to buy more StorJ for sure on the current price it is on its dip price. There might some pullbacks after a rise but checking on the chart this is the best time to buy.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ripple currency doomed? on: October 03, 2017, 07:08:19 PM
So the coin is not as interesting as the rest. Also, to understand the interest, you need to carefully study the icon, the road map, who the developer, what is implemented, and what is not. What is the news about this coin, what capitalization, what volume of trades. Perhaps, having studied more carefully all these circumstances, you will be able to answer your question on not only this coin, but also with respect to any other, in order to trade competently.
You can really able to answer this kind of question if you do really made some research regarding on those things that you do mention here which is capitalization, volume and other stuffs. Ripple is centralized and those price increase happen back in the past which i do believe is just a hype and now its climbing down.Interest has gone but well we cant be sure if there would still some spark into this coin.
840  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: October 03, 2017, 05:12:28 PM
Hey, guys, you will not believe... But I really know a few normal, regular people, who work at their work, who have families, children, do shopping and so on. But they even don't know... e-mails!!! Really, they can not use computer at all. And they consider themselves - normal, usual people. They work 12 hours a day and when they come home, they hardly have power to get to the sofa and switch on TV. So wht BITCOIn are we here talking about???  Wink

Absolutely right were still on the beginning of bitcoin era. Most people don't know what is bitcoin or a digit currency now a days. But it becoming the most uses as mode of payment by other people and that well accepted by merchants becoming popular in this present years.

Bitcoin is probably geared toward the younger generations. Computers, the internet, and emails were always harder to learn for the older generations but the younger people grew up with these technological advances so they were used to it from a young age. The same is happening with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The younger generation will be more used to it and will understand better than older generations. It's going to take time for Bitcoin to catch on but it will happen gradually. At some point, Bitcoin will be as well known as smartphones.

Maybe yes, and maybe not) There are a lot of young people technologically educated, but they don't ow much about cryptocurrency. My son is a programer, nut he is JUST NOT INTERESTED IN THAT. on the other hand - I am crazy about the topic., though I am 57. And, by the way, older generation now is not the same as it was even 10-20 years ago.
Good to see that there are oldies who are engaging already on bitcoin which is actually a nice thing.I agree on what you have said here those people who are older compared on those previous years or decades is really different knowing that technology do innovate even more which adoption or awareness on techy things would really be there.
