Because it was news. I am trying to illustrate good or bad I will report it. We report when Blockchain.info had breaches and glitches and we do the same when it others have it happen as well. I contacted Joe directly when I saw the issue. I was not able to alter anything in the screen I saw. A little while later it was all working as it was supposed too. I had even said that it was bad emails and such were seen but nothing was altered. Coinbase and some others have had issues similar to this in the past as well. It was a bad issue for GAW that is why I asked about it and published what their statement was as well as what happened. It was not a good news article.
So. You posted a "Bad news article" then? Why? Fair enough, i took that differently obviously.

Holy hell, thanks for that - I just barely found it in wallet.cpp (I assumed gaw would be using their own super heavy-duty armor-flex staking wallet so i wasn't looking there, oops)! if (mapArgs.count("-primenodekey") && mapArgs.count("-primenoderate")) // paycoin: primenode priv key

Haha, "there's only 1 wallet thats making 350% interest from staking Paycoin and that wallet is owned by Gaw Miners" - Bryce Weiner (Altmarket.com) i'm actually going over the source now looking for this but i'm not seeing it ... anyone else looking? my C++ is rusty, but not all gone... int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, int primeNodeRate) {
int64 nSubsidy = 0; int64 nRewardCoinYear = 0; // creation amount per coin-year
if (primeNodeRate == 0) nRewardCoinYear = 5 * CENT; else if (primeNodeRate == 10) nRewardCoinYear = 10 * CENT; else if (primeNodeRate == 20) nRewardCoinYear = 20 * CENT; else if (primeNodeRate == 100) nRewardCoinYear = 100 * CENT; else if (primeNodeRate == 350) nRewardCoinYear = 350 * CENT;
nSubsidy = nCoinAge * nRewardCoinYear * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8);
if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation")) printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): primeNodeRate=%d create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRI64d"\n", primeNodeRate, FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge); return nSubsidy; } Thanks, i saw that, but cannot figure out what the hell sets the PrimeNodeRate value? I don't see any prime address on the rich list with any particularly larger balance either... anyone know what wallet they speak of? https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xpy/#!rich

I think a better analogy is what if "1 million people" were in a burning tacobell all rushing for the exit at the same time. Few will escape, some will get burned, & most will die. Lol 'twas my best lol of the day as well, up until ricky and the hashcoins!

is it just me, or does this read like "Let's go raise some hard currency for Kim Jong-Il!!" ....

How many coins are there in circulation right now? How many more staked each day? That seems like it should be in the OP so we can calculate how much fiat is needed per day to maintain $12/coin.
Considering all cashtakers are unprofitable at $12/coin, I would assume they don't need any money. They are either making money out of thin air, i.e. staking, or paying out of their premine. They need to pay out ~23k XPY daily. Then it depends on exchange rates and how many suckers are willing to buy that, so GAW doesn't really need to pay any real cash out of pocket (now that the floor is no more). I'll update the OP next year, gotta get myself stuffed now I haven't had time to follow this gawd awful wreck, anyone give a quick recap of what happened with the $20 floor.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg9995795#msg9995795

I'm sure no one has ever failed at holding up an entire market by themselves...
no but either him or gaw are buying, as it's clearly pumping again... albeit slowly..

Josh and Joe are both on the tinychat.
Can you or anyone update on the tinychat. I got banned last night when I asked a reasonable question. Clearing cookies and logging in again with a different name doesn't work? Banned people kept coming back over and over last night. I'm in a flight so unable to do video / audio as the latency is so high. Did anyone get a recording? Did they admit user data was exposed? Someone messaged me to say they blamed it on Cloudflare which of course confirms that data was exposed. Blaming it all on cloudflare by saying it was nothing but it was a static display saying the user was unable to make any changes or attempt to withdraw coins Josh jumped in saying it was just a picture I guess that was his professional opinion and they are all smiling coyly trying to play it off. I was able to log into another account myself that did have coins in it and I can say it was fully interactive and NOT a static display the only reason coins were not able to be withdrawn was the 2fa what they are saying is it was only a picture and there was no interaction so these guys are lying or are just ignorant to what actually happened. I chose the latter. I got into an account as we'll. Yeah and it was fully interactive right not just a static display. pretty much. at first i could change data, but someone must have fixed it, but then like 4 hours later the site went offline and cloudflares' error clearly pointed at the server being down, not their service at all. edit - i saw lots of account info like email and balances. i could even verify them on twitter or via HT. sad pathetic company/scammers.

Coinfire.cf hacked now, with threats and all. This is getting crazier by the minute.
Site now reads:
"Dear Mike Johnson, We know you live in Indianapolis, Indiana. We know that one of your authors had an insecure password. We now know enough about you to ruin your life. Stop reporting lies.As I said, simple Wordpress blog is easy to take down."
Wow...
well it got fixed really fast. did you get a screencap?

What is the actual fee for transfers in and out of Paybase. I heard 5% each way, is that actually true?
Lets see, numaniod buys XPY for $12 on Crypsty and then transfers it into Paybase for 60 cents , sells it for $13 and then transfers the BTC out for another 60 65 cents>? And then thinks he is making money? WTF? Is it really that obvious and he just can't add? Or is the fee not that much?
There are no fees for sending coins to your wallet other than the .001 transaction fee. What is this thread on HT about? Everyone is saying they get jacked on the sell by two dollars per coin. Kind of sounds like a fee... wtf? https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/josh-garza-speaks-paybase-launch-amazon-shopping-using-paycoin/GAW owns CCN, so everything said there is very bias. does anyone have any proof of this, archived or otherwise? I am not doubting, sounds right, but just wondering if i missed a page!
