841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you considering time span? on: October 12, 2022, 03:19:20 PM

My question is do you consider closing your trade if those orders didn't trigger for some time?

This is a good question and newbie trader would benefit from this thread because it is really a practical trading question. You can't understand this question or attempt to answer if you have not been trading, as a trader you will be locked in between this kind of decision.

So my answer is yes. I do exit an order that is taking unnecessary time to trigger because with experience sometimes you lose after waiting that long.

Because for example, the trade you opened becomes sideways or stable, and no pumps or dumps happened that triggered your orders, so for some time, your trade is still open.

Experience have taught me this that when market is sideways for long, it could be a result of market price and indecision going on at your back (yes lol because you are not there present only through the trading channel or platform, exchange), so it is better to stay out and allow whatever that wants to hit the market to do just that while your capital still stays safe at the time. With experience too I have learnt that it is better to have your money than to unnecessarily lose it and there is always another opportunity for profit. Another lesson to this, when the market seem quiet or sideways for long, something is about to hit the market either a new trend will be formed.
842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 11, 2022, 02:14:59 PM

some people bought BTC at 19000$ in 2017 ATH and they held, BTC later hit 60,000+ but that's because its BTC, do not try this with Altcoins, many Altcoins will die and many won't ever reach their ATH again.

Many investors are still hodling on to some altcoins that they missed selling and that is a lesson either they profit from it or they finally kiss them good bye. Hodling of altcoins is very risky like you have said because it is not same as bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most guarantee crypto that has the tendency to go back to ATH of the previous but not altcoins do that rather they remain stagnant or die out.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: The end of cheap money reveals global debt problem on: October 11, 2022, 10:57:37 AM
I wonder if a good strategy here could be to forget about recession and economic collapse. Focus on the rebound. Begin planning. Preparing. Taking steps for a return to a pre pandemic economy. What would that look like. What can people do to fast track a trend in that direction. Its been said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Being an early adopter of bitcoin showed the world the value of getting in early. Is it possible the same trend will also apply to any economic downtrend which occurs and its recovery?

This would have been a good hypothesis if the country trying to forget about what is called recession or economic collapse and the cause of them was a super country. Or the countries trying to forget the history of covid-19 pandemic is living and existing with her people in isolation from other countries. We know that the economic harshness is not a result of one individual country causing it but a reflection of the global market activity or economy. Shifting from covid-19 and talkng straight on the economic aspect for example crude oil and it byproducts, now the price of oil is still speculated to increase and no country that is running without these products so you see where is tied to. Certainly, the economies will adjust and adjustment means a little more increase in prices. Therefore preparing to take steps in returning to pre pandemic economy looks elusive and unachievable. What then to do as an individual is investment whether late or early, it will yield benefits than waiting for your government to push back to pre pandemic era because economies have always been bad or worse than the previous decades.
844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with a business mindset on: October 09, 2022, 08:49:46 PM
it’s always good to have your own strategy because this is your own battle and you have to do everything just to win in trading .

I have seen people not trying to build their own trading pattern but they are relying on copy trading because of their past experience of loses. They are not doing a business of their own if they are waiting for trade call before they go in because such type of trading is not with business mindset but to always follow the call of a sender whose mind is that of the mind of the sender.
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2017 joined but still member on: October 09, 2022, 06:52:42 PM
I joined long time back on 2017. still member. i am really ashamed about it.I want to increase to legendary. please help what should i do?

Haha this is funny and mixed with nostalgic. I could even see that you have been away for sometime from the forum. Not being active is one major effect of it as the reason you are still where you are. Your activities is still far to show you how you have been inactive. If my calculation is correct you are suppose to be in senior member by default at the time the merit system started if you had enough activities by that time. The solution now is that you have to start making meaningful contribution to the forum but sorry unfortunately at this time that merit are not got on a platter of Gold, you will have to be a super knowledgeable writer to achieve what you desire now unlike in the beginning when merit giving wasn't a big deal and some of us still didn't realize it then because we also desire to rank up from where we are. But do your best at least you can get somewhere if you are ready to do some serious content work.
846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: no deposit bonuses. on: October 09, 2022, 02:15:52 PM
I used to run after these bonuses, they have strings attached that at the end you start asking yourself, is it even worth your time/headache.

If you even get some credit as bonus from the platform that you are trading, you won't be able to withdraw it except you keep using it on the trade. Sometimes you get some bonus as a result of trading and the numbers of trading points, those points may be recorded for you as bonus but you have to trade with them or they are just very small amount that amounts to nothing for you.
847  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we heading towards recession ? on: October 09, 2022, 01:36:43 PM
If we were to see all that has happened in the previous years, I think it is really due to all the issues that are with the world. The wars and saving of different governments for the people. It's going to collapse soon after. I hope no one will be damaged too much, making it hard for people to recover, but I  think it's due, as LoyceV said.

If there are even more economic casualties, it will happen sooner, and I believe we are there already.

One of other reasons for this such of pending recession is the covid-19. This affected not only the financial aspect of the economy but the human capacity also was reduced and uptil now some countries and cities are finding it difficult to improve in that aspect. It is such a situation that the world is currently struggling with. During the time of covid-19, there were alot of death recorded and this are persons with family and breadwinners so surely it is a great blow to the economy.
848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading indicators on: October 08, 2022, 01:04:51 PM
Is there any trader here that makes profit even if not using any signal and indicators?

I don't think so because if your trading platform is blank you can't have any direction to follow or at a time to exit. It is just like flying a plane without direction, you are bound to crash.

RSI, EMA, and the basics, like candle patterns and resistance and support area. Those are only the basics and easy to understand indicators that you could use.

If you add support and resistance line , I am also good to go with this myself. Candle pattern and formation are very important in trading. I rely on it most of the time in my trading.

849  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: October 07, 2022, 12:49:34 PM

I didn't say that you can't make money from trading, I said that you can't make money from day trading in the long run, BTW I'm making very good money and I live from trading thank you for your concern

You can make money in any kind of trading that you are into not withstanding the volatility or any thing else. Day trading doesn't require you to go so long to pick all long profit but what you require is to take out profit as you see them. The problem with day traders is they stay longer in and at the end lose all that they acquire on that trade.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with a business mindset on: October 07, 2022, 11:56:49 AM

We need to avoid greed because it can make us lose so trade wisely

Money management in trade is very important here. Despite our skill/indicators, knowledge and emotional control, if we can't have a working money management then all we know amounts to nothing because we are going to be losing just as we are gaining and at a time our loses will take us out entirely. So using appropriate leverage, risk appetite to our capital and stop lose are ways we can be a better and less greedy trader.
851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Synthetic trading on: October 07, 2022, 11:19:57 AM
This is more of a more confused kind of terminology in trading. I rather stick with what is already difficult than compounding a difficult situation  Grin All that a trader is looking for is profit and to dive into a more confusing system is sure a way to loses. Learning the spots trading is better. Moreover I use to hear the word in gambling how come is making it way in trading ?
852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Strange question. on: October 06, 2022, 08:02:58 PM

In order to sell something someone have to buy it. But what happens if there are no buy order at $2000.

Op there is no way that an order set below as $2,000 where the price is $20k, there is no way it won't be taking immediately. You know the difference is $18,000, that is what you will immediately lose. No trader will pass away with that kind of ridiculous price reduction. Try not to make such mistake because your funds will immediately gone if you set your sell order that way.
853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The sole difference is capital. on: October 06, 2022, 02:41:58 PM

If we look back to our series of successful trades most of us would have made tremendous profits running in millions if it was on a good capital start.

A trader without good knowledge will lose his capital as soon as he starts. So knowledge is above capital

And I agree with myself that when it comes to trading, for good traders the difference in our profit making level is in the capital and not necessarily put on number of successful trades executed.

A good trader is measured based on the number of successful trade and not just on capital. Capital is not quite significant to trading. You can have a $50, $100, $1000 account what matters is how to manage it efficiently and increase it and not a huge start up capital that can disappear if not well managed.

It boils down to say the difference is just capital.

No it is not.
854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or Technical Analyst. Which one are you? on: October 05, 2022, 11:36:31 AM
I chose to trade with the fundamentals the way it suits me because I don't have enough time to look at the charts all day long. In the past I have tried with technical analysts but the results were even worse because I was confused and not focused on having to divide my time with my work.

This is a surprising how you can just trade the market without watching on the chart at least for some time. The crypto market doesn't have a timeline for news whixh is fundamental if you actually understand it to be news, so how are you able to do that?
To be a better trader you may not use both strategy of fundamental and technical but you can have knowledge of them. For example trading on binance, you don't have any form of news or fundamental table sort of but you definitely can follow the waves and chart of the coins.
855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tool to copy-trade Binance Leaderboard on: October 05, 2022, 09:28:02 AM
Newbies coming up with apps for copy trading is looking suspicious. I guess you included binance to get traders attracted to the app because I clicked on your link to see if the sign up has any connection with binance but nothing of such.
856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading / robo investing platforms? on: October 05, 2022, 08:16:19 AM

I've been working on a project to develop a Telegram bot for copy trading but struggling to find succesful accounts/traders to follow and generally just don't have time to dedicate to it.

Is one thing to be dedicated to building your telegram copy trading group and another thing to get traders to follow that up. It is not a big demand for traders to follow copy trading, so if you have the idea of making profit from it definitely you are going to have a low turn out. Although, it is good to have copy trading for cryptocurrency because I know almost all forex platforms have such facilities, it is still something new with cryptocurrency exchange.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 04, 2022, 02:45:21 PM
Bounty chasing has been known as luck enterprise. If a bounty hunter joins one then it is only luck that they can get benefit from it whether in bull time of the market or bear but most bounties open during bear have low chance of success because it takes a bull season to create hype in the market whether real or unreal and this creates trading volume and expectations are high for any good hyped project at the time. Investing IMO is better done during the bear season.
858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DONT GIVE ME FISH on: October 04, 2022, 01:09:20 PM
Most traders end up losing money and quitting.

This is the hard fact but you need to hold to it. You can be lucky to stay longer or maybe succeed if you have passion for it. You can only learn by yourself, the things written or watched doesn't really add up. Trade with what you have learnt but with very little amount to play around with because chances are that you are going to lose before you understand why you are losing. Use little leverage size and don't be greedy.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: China tells state banks to prepare for a massive dollar dump on: October 04, 2022, 11:30:00 AM

Would anyone here recommend selling the US dollar to buy the chinese yuan?

I don't know who wants to do that if not the few patriotic Chinese.

I think it is just an ""economic war" that is still going on between China. This has been on for a while and China is finding means to pull the dollar down because it is a strong factor for international trade. Whoever would sell off dollar to buy Yuan in real life trade is only trying to export Chinese products and reasonable to convert into Yuan for trade but I don't know of who is hodling Yuan above the dollar. So it is just an exercise that is within the place of China. China is trying to protect her currency for further fall and the CBDC is all for giving the people that option for having trade with digital market.

Round 132 Payments have been sent out!

Thank you all for yet another great week, keep it up!

No new positions have opened up.

Starting from this round (133) there is a new rule in place: A maximum of 4 posts per day will count towards the weekly requirement.

Finally we now have a new rule on post per day. I think our manager has warmed about this a long time ago but it didn't seem to be heeded. This will ensure at least 4 active days. With 4 post per day, if we miss to post for 4 days, it is clear that we have denied ourselves the week payment because we can only have 12 post counted for the remaining 3 days no matter how many post made. This is warning for bad habit Grin
