842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Mining - game world inside the Block Chain on: July 08, 2014, 07:12:07 AM
If the community wants to get involved, I recommend:

Get HUC listed on as many exchanges as you can.
Contribute to the code (and give ideas) to speed things up.
Promote Huntercoin.
Get HUC merge mined on as many pools as you can.

probably more but can't think atm.

Set up a multi pool that allows the small miners to have a crack at earning some HUC with their power.

We need the little guys on our side and we can merge mine while pwning.

If Huntercoin is actively "hunting" shit coins this will do two powerful things for us:

A:  Allow miners of all sizes to earn Huntercoins though these "get rich quick" coins. This could be done for NMC as well (and should be.)
B:  Puts some sort of ass end on the bid of Huntercoin.  I would recommend using this pool for the HUC bid due to the fact we are seeing a "seller" market and have it bullish pointed toward NMC.

I believe there are several mining pools that already do this for altcoins, so we have two options:

A:  Lobby them to set this up for HUC/NMC
B:  Someone make their own.

(Hashco.ws I believe sets up multi pools for coins if I recall what Seedtrue said to me)
This is the irc Server: irc.freenode.org Channel: #hashcows

Obviously we can do both A&B... My abilities are more directed at A because B is beyond my abilities at this moment now.

News and Media is always good, but i would prefer the game to sync fast, use less space and accessible to all, before getting any major reviews Smiley

1000% agree.
Too much media before she is 100% prepared could hurt our efforts for sure.

DOGE didn't get media/attention until about 15-30% of the "total" OS was mined (Outstanding Shares and I do "total" because it was then forked to be unlimited."

Not comparing HUC to DOGE at all... just pointing out the fact that we are still way under that point.

Yes, I strongly believe huntercoin needs more miners involved with it. I first got into huntercoin by solo mining some of the first scrypt blocks(with the first launch and the re-launch). Huntercoin can be merge-mined, but the returns can be tiny, and your average pool opp does not know how, or want the hassle.

When it comes to prices, the altcoin markets are run by miners(in fact the top alt exchanges are owned by miners). If we want higher prices we need miners involved.

There are many recent coins on the market that are no longer mine-able.
The solution to this is the coin devs have set up contracts with different pools, the pools mine whatever is profitable --> the pool exchanges the mined coins for BTC at exchange --> pool exchanges BTC for HUC --->  miners are paid out in HUC.
This helps in 2 ways
  • The average miner can point their gpu or scrypt asic at the pool and get a lot of HUCs.
  • The coins that the pool purchases from exchange adds volume and volume brings attention.

Just don't understand why someone would make a coin with no-premine and then leave it....

This is happening more frequently than not. I have a few scenarios that may or may not be valid(I am a paranoid person).

  • This is all the same person. The same dev releases 30 coins/week and only sticks with the ones that show instant hope for profit.
  • It is a conspiracy. Someone, or many, dislike miners and alts in general and want us to waste our time/hash.
  • Same as above, only this time it is Litecoin fanatics that think that they are somehow helping Litecoin by doing this.

Just to clarify on what I said earlier, I won't be able to maintain this coin for anitime during the foresee able future. I just got promoted to a bigger position over the weekend and underestimated the workload and catch up I'll have in the next few weeks. I'll check in to the thread every couple of days to make sure everything is still alr ight, but don't except any updates or news from me

Why the fuck do "developers" keep doing this shit? Do not release a coin if you are not going to maintain it. Wasted tons of hash and sat in a hot house for a coin that will be forgotten tomorrow.

Oh well, see you guys on the next shitcoin.

He didn't say he was dropping the coins, he said he wont have time for it for the next weeks.  He will stay here to solve little problems if it have some.  But the real development will have to wait until he's less busy thats all.  At least he's fair with everyone.  It's a proof of honesty you know.  He could have pump this up and let it die, he didn't.

His coin has 4 days of mining. We are already 21% done with the POW blocks. Could he not wait 2 more days to say this? Makes no sense.

ok THE COINMINERS WILL CLOSE THE STRATUM there are multiple fork on the network.

Well, you and 777pool are on same chain, not sure about ipominer cause they are jammed. Pool.mn is on total different block.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OHLC][X13][PoW/PoS] on: July 05, 2014, 03:18:02 PM
Ipominer is stuck at block  Current Block   507  check the status , so i'm not the only one with the problem

Why would you not think that maybe pool.mn was on the "wrong fork"? How can you decide to make a judgement call making the entire last couple hours a complete waste?
3

And if on the final result my pool was realy on the wrong fork and the pool.mn was on right , the you was losing more coins the now , when i deleted againd the data blocks and redownloade the blocks  i was on the same block as the pool.mn , so that was the right fork Smiley

Maybe I overreacted. If so, I apologize, I was heated.

To be honest, I don't think it matters anyway as the dev has been completely inactive from the very start.

is not scam man

This is one of my cronjob error because of the blocks on the wrong fork

Code:
PHP Fatal error:  Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'RPC call did not return 200: HTTP error: 500 - JSON Response: [-5] Block not found' in /var/www/ohlc/include/lib/jsonRPCClient.php:117
Stack trace:
#0 /var/www/ohlc/cronjobs/blockupdate.php(39): jsonRPCClient->__call('getblock', Array)
#1 /var/www/ohlc/cronjobs/blockupdate.php(39): BitcoinWrapper->getblock('0000000009da23b...')

I was looking through your history and every coin your pool hosts has "issues" and coins disappear. Really? gtfo

Plus you were the only fucking pool for most of those blocks....and now you are saying you were on wrong fork....how the fuck does that happen when from launch your pool was the entire network.

Man is not the only pool , my pool wallet got stuck on block 717 and the pool.mn was on block 723. I'll explain in vain still you will not understand.

I had coins disappear all the way back into the 500's. You can try to lie in vain but no one will believe you. How the fuck is it your decision which is the right or wrong chain(if that really happened which i seriously doubt).

PS. I will follow up every post I see you make in new coin ANNs with this line.

He steals your coins and blames it on pool problems. AVOID SCAM POOL

also...its not about a few measly junkcoins, it is the principle. I could buy and sell 50 of your pools bro.

Aww shiiit.. Fuck those multipools.

Ipominer is not really "that" kind of multipool. They do not frequently switch coins.
