843  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I would love to speak to a bitcoin lawyer on: December 14, 2013, 02:27:26 AM
You won't end up in court, they just forfeit everything you own. They do not provide guidance to individuals, the best a lawyer can do is guess what kind of arbitrary punitive actions they may take if you get on their radar.

hmm interesting..so rent, lease, and transfer everything to bitcoin...its definitely doable. Thanks
844  Bitcoin / Legal / I would love to speak to a bitcoin lawyer on: December 13, 2013, 10:27:57 PM
I just need some minor law advice regarding FinCen and regulations. Or if anyone has knowledge regarding regulation please message me. Thanks
845  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much have you raked in with BTC? How about everyday? *Fun Thread* on: December 12, 2013, 08:07:51 AM
So far I am at negative $1500.  *this is as of right now, thankfully most of my losses were negated already*  My first experience with Bitcoin was it crashing from $1200 to $500 the day after I bought it.  They weren't kidding about the volatility, hehe.  I am going to hang on for the ride though, see what 2014 brings...

You didn't sell in panic so the way i see it you are not in any negative  Tongue

Yep, I panicked like a little school boy bitch and sold a few...cost me about 3k so far. But it was all profit of course. I bought at 100$  Angry
846  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much have you raked in with BTC? How about everyday? *Fun Thread* on: December 12, 2013, 07:39:21 AM
I think Im just about at 500 G/H. Waiting on those Neptunes now  Shocked
847  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much have you raked in with BTC? How about everyday? *Fun Thread* on: December 12, 2013, 07:23:04 AM
*Fun thread* so far!! All we got is the poor bastard contemplating blowing his brains out for buying bitcoins... haha jk...2014 will be huge for bitcoin I think. I "rake" in about .32 btc per day.
848  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Upcoming asic miners dont stand a chance against difficulty on: December 11, 2013, 05:13:33 AM
At http://btc.re/miningcalc you can how much difficulty will increase at the rate of 30%.You can even  do calculations to find out how much your hardware's hashing power will earn you at each difficulty.

As we are all waiting for Kncminer,Black Arrow,Xtreme Miners big asic miners to start shipping in February and March 2014,have a look at the difficulty than from the chart.Even Xtreme Miners 'The Lion' 7.5 Thash/sec wont make money upto your expectations.Just do the calculations and you will see.

Whats the point to buy these high price hardware and mine while difficulty keeps going up like leaps and stars.

Well for me personally i bought bitcoins for 100 dollars. So when I spent 10 btcs on a neptune, I actually only spent 1k usd. So as long as that miner makes back over 10 btcs in its life, I win. Plus, there are other coins to mine, and there will be more coins to mine in the future im sure.
849  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is not scarce. on: December 11, 2013, 01:55:35 AM
I have just realised that I have made one mistake in my bitcoin cant be money thread. I assumed that bitcoin, despite having no intrinsic value/utility on its own, is scarce. Bitcoin is not scarce as it has no value. To understand this lets look at the term scarcity.

Scarcity is the fundamental economic problem of having seemingly unlimited human wants and needs in a world of limited resources. It states that society has insufficient productive resources to fulfill all human wants and needs. WIKI

Now already we have a problem. Bitcoin is not a resource that fullfills human wants. Dumping it on the next guy is not fullfilling a want if the other guy doesnt want bitcoin for itself but is also looking to dump it on the next fool. I have shown in the other thread that because nobody wants bitcoin for itself as it has no utility/ intrinsic value it cant be money.

Now if bitcoin does no fullfill a want, it cant be a resource. If its not a resource its not scarce.

For example: If we divide one ounce of gold by two we have two 1/2 ounces. Now 1/2 an ounce has half as much intrinsic value, as I can decorate only half as many objects. I can use only valf as much for industrial production.

Now if we halve bitcoin the intrinsic value is still 0. 1/2 Bitcoin is as valuable as 1 Bitcoin as both have 0 value.

If I could divide a real resource like bread and the two parts where as valuable/ had as much utility as the whole, I could solve world hunger by dividing bread to infinty. We could say that bread is not scarce in this case.

Thus dividing bitcoin creates more of them from a value perspective.

Now it doesnt matter because infinte nothing is still nothing. The number of bitcoin is totally irrellevant as bitcoin has 0 value. 60 million times 0 is 0. 100 million  times 0 is still 0.

Youre an idiot dude. If bitcoin were still 5 dollars a coin, there would be no bitcoin available, and thats why the price keep going up. Thats scarcity dumbass. Because people want bitcoin, they just cant afford it anymore. You sound like an idiot and youre on a Pro bitcoin forum...get a life, youre out of your league
850  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for a website designer that knows bitcoin on: December 11, 2013, 01:17:52 AM
Love the alliance, have been looking into it.

Was thinking of building a package for businesses to hand out.
Something with a basic intro to bitcoin, how it work's, how hard it is to accept payments etc. and some Sticker's for stores (Bitcoin accepted here).

Wish I could help but my webdesign is limited to HTML and some php Sad

Yeah, thats a great idea. Im mainly going after the people first, then the businesses will follow. So if you know HTML, that means you can integrate bitcoin payment plugins on websites?
851  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for a website designer that knows bitcoin on: December 11, 2013, 01:14:04 AM
I wish you the best of luck bud, this sounds like an ambitious and sound project.
My only reserve is would be connecting so heavily to the USA marketplace as they are the leading power against asset protection and anonymity.
I do wish you the best man, but I would not touch anything USA sale based with a ten foot pole.

Well this has nothing to do asset protection or anonymity. The main product I offer is just for the average bitcoin holder who may keep their bitcoins on a paper wallet. The goal is helping more Americans learn about cryptocurrencies, and sell some adspace to bitcoin companies. Thats it, the products sell themselves as they are useful.
852  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Math behind bitcoin miner on: December 10, 2013, 11:51:39 PM
Assuming that you get this in 2 weeks, and guessing that difficulty goes up another 20% then, (guessing around 1.2Billion difficulty), and IF difficulty does NOT go up again (which it will in 2 weeks), it would take you 127 days to break even, also assuming that the value of Bitcoin stays at $1000.

So, if you know what the price of BTC will do over the next 4 months, and what difficulty will do over the next 4 months, and how long it will actually take you to get this rig, I would think this is a very risky investment and pretty late in the game.

I would look at a 2TH or 3TH rig from black arrow or Cointerra, or the KNC miner, most will be Q1 or Q2, but are priced MUCH better than this. I would pass personally.

Big thanks man.

The Cointerra for $5k is better than the one I linked? How come it's so much cheaper?

And while I have you on the thread, how long would it take for the Cointerra to pay for itself?

I know I might sound like a retard for wanting to buy this kind of stuff without any knowledge whatsoever. Reason being is that I'm working basically 24/7 and just got into bitcoins which I find pretty damn interesting. So since I work so much I have quite a bit of money but no hobbies, so why not let bitcoins be my hobby.

Never buy anything from Butterfly Labs. They are the biggest scam in the bitcoin world. I like KNC personally. THey always deliver more power than promised.
853  Bitcoin / Project Development / Looking for a website designer that knows bitcoin on: December 10, 2013, 09:28:39 PM
Hey now, so Im looking for a decent American website designer for my website. The nuts and bolts of the site are already up. I just need help listing the products for sale, checkout with bitcoin, and basic upkeep. Now, the thing is I dont just need it set up, I kind of need it monitored as well. Therefore, I would ideally like to make someone a partner, and give them a percentage of the profits. I would handle marketing, production, and creativity. I just need someone with enough time to help out with website upkeep. I am doing everything myself, and its becoming too much to keep track of. I started selling my products on ebay about a week ago, and Ive sold roughly $600 worth so far. With very little of the population knowing what a bitcoin is, thats not bad. The real money will roll in after people start showing the products to their friends, and the community involved starts catching on. The website looks something like this, http://www.bitcoinalliance.ca/  and I just need some fine tuning, design help and some SEO work (Im ok) to help people find it. I wanted to officially launch 1/1/14. If anyone is interested and wants to get in on a startup that is already making money, please PM me. The ideal candidate would already have a fairly decent stash of bitcoins and just wants to get involved for the sake of being involved, and wants to help get more Americans get involved. Im trying to not make this all about money. We make money by more people buying bitcoins, so Im trying to streamline that. This is highly geared toward Americans, from our products to our company name. However, some sales have been from Russians and Germans. People across the globe know the products, if they are familiar with American culture. The name of the company is actually American Bitcoin Inc. If any of this peeks your interest, please feel free to message me. Thanks

Update: Make that $657 in about a week, and thats in preorders.
Update; $677
854  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over. Bitcoin is finished. on: December 08, 2013, 06:24:19 AM
The last bubble was bitcoin's last hope for establishing itself, now that it's crashed in the middle of the media spotlight, no one will have confidence in it anymore. Have fun holding the last tulip when it all comes crashing down. Serves the gullible idiots right for buying into a ponzi scheme posing as a fake currency.

then why are you in BITCOIN FORUM?

if you think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme...

what are you doing here?

Educating people and keep them from getting scammed.

People on this forum , especially early bitcoins adopters are the last persons in the world that need education.
And even if , your type of education might be good for lemmings at best.

The early adopters have everything to gain and nothing to lose by perpetuating the ponzi scheme. Most of the shills you see advocating bitcoin on the internet are of this type. Desperately trying to keep people from realizing the nature of bitcoin, while luring gullible people to buy into bitcoins so these early adopters can fatten their own eallets.

But if you can't cash out how do our wallets get fat?

Greed, ignorance, and delusions of getting rich is what fuels these people.

Make NO mistake about it. I will soon be paying your mom bitcoin for blowjobs, and that is a fact
855  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It's ashamed how hard it is to mine Bitcoins now on: December 07, 2013, 11:14:45 PM
I have 0.00385 bitcoins sitting in my http://mining.bitcoin.cz account from when I was mining in 2012, but I can't get them out now, cause there's no way in heck I'll ever get it to the 0.01 threshold

Any suggestions?

I'm looking at that Baby Jet (400 GH/s) but I don't want to pre-order.  U think that's a good deal when it comes out?

400 G/h pre-order?? Might as well just buy a hamster and a wheel. As my mining partner says, "nah nah, youre just pissing into the wind with that order".
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where the hell is Max Kaiser and the Winkelvass twins?? on: December 07, 2013, 06:29:59 AM
The eggs and the baskets ...
Anyway, hold a bit and see what happens.
If you are planing long term most likely you will get profit.
Good luck!

THis is good for the longevity of bitcoin. It allows more people to buy in. Everyone has seen what it can do, so there should be more hoarders in the long run, and the price will keep going up.
857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinabul owes me 241.96 BTC on: December 06, 2013, 01:50:48 AM
Seems like a plan, If anyone can help in the return of my BTC I will offer a reward of 41.96 BTC. The "Help" must result in the return of my BTC to claim the reward. Happy Hunting Smiley

now you have to start posting that in the forums...definitely reddit needs to know
858  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC be at $2,000 on: December 05, 2013, 10:32:30 PM
I'm more concerned about when it will be $300 to $500 again so I can get some.

$500 maybe somewhere this month

$300 probably never.

I think that if it didnt go to $500 today, it never will. Youre only going to see massive growth next year. A lot of startups are launching with products aimed at making bitcoin more useful for the daily consumer. ATMs will be popping up everywhere, more and more large companies getting involved...hell, a tesla sold at a Orange County shop yesterday. Everyone wants a piece of the action. Any void in China will be filled by somewhere else in the world like india, of Israel. Its to the moon from here. $2000 in 2-3 months. Im calling it
859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinabul owes me 241.96 BTC on: December 05, 2013, 02:07:44 AM
If you have a workable solution to getting my BTC back I'm all ears. I sent coinabul an offer that I would submit the AML info they wanted, but only after the btc was transferred to a 3rd party escrow service of my choosing. I don't think they were interested in my offer, so I'm still fucked.

Well if I were you, Id offer a reward in the 50-100k range. Just say, its none of my business how the money gets returned, there is just a reward if it is returned. Someone knows the person in charge, and may turn on him...put a price on getting the money back. As Obama says, "All options are on the table at this point". That is what I did when someone in Australia scammed me. I found the person on Facebook, and started sending him pictures of his friends and family. Needless to say, he is in the process of paying me back now. True Story, hope that helps
860  Bitcoin / Project Development / I need a faucet installed on my website on: December 05, 2013, 02:00:17 AM
I know there is an public script for faucets. However, the faucet I want to add is for my website and is for members only, so a username and password would need to be entered. The site is new, so I have not signed anyone up yet which should make it easier. I was wondering if there is anyone that can help me out. I can pay for the time, I just want to get it done. Thanks
