Only if you distribute binaries, and then only to the people you distributed the binaries to.
Those people are then free to distribute the source to whomever they wish, though.
Well, sorry for my unfounded accusations...

Not that it really matters much, but you are wrong. In purely private (or internal) use —with no sales and no distribution— the software code may be modified and parts reused without requiring the source code to be released.
Hmm now the question is if a p2pool is private/internal or not. GPL experts step forward plz. Either way, it's good manners to release the modifications imo. Sorry WOPR if my misleading post made you release it although you didn't want to.

Maybe I just can't understand all this scamcoin bizniz, but anyway, where the fuck is the source code for all these p2pool mods?! Have you heard of opensource basics? How do I connect to your pool?
Other p2pool admin shared his code: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=206904.msg2214357#msg2214357IMO a reason to switch. Don't fuck with open source. Apparently not necessary for "internal" use. GPL experts come forward plz.

You are right, here's mine
p2pool/p2pool/networks.py
Thanks, everyone should switch over to you, as you operate the only GPL compliant WDC p2pool.

Why is only 1 person visible in the pool stats? And is he really throwing 850 MH/s at this?
no.. lol more like kHs .. I put those up quick, need to change the text at top Thanks for heads up.. M. Alright, was slightly worried of huge server farms mining this, but then my payout would be much lower, so all good i guess. Also @ Magnet: Look carefully before rambling.

The only Worldcoin P2Pool complying with GPL. Good reason to switch here.

From the Amsterdam pool: 1 phrankarm 920 MH/s WTF edit: Must be OP, this guy is mining for hours now.

You might want to take the minerd.exe out of the Windows archive, got a nice virus warning due to it. Also i see 10k blocks, no 20k. Yes, 20k.

P2Pool admins please share your code. P2Pool is GPLv3. Thanks. edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think if you fork GPL software, you have to make the source code available.
|
|
|
Please share your code, P2Pool is GPL, look at the COPYING file. For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must pass on to the recipients the same freedoms that you received. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. Thanks Ignore if i was too silly to find it.

It says DGC and in the payout list are Digicoin addresses.

It actually was a bug in the p2pool version we were using.

Chocolate bar idea good or silly?
|
|
|
I hope so. Was the old version sending the miner's coins direct to the pool account instead?
In my case only the 1% fee was sent there, then nothing since no new shares were registered.
