842  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biggest Problem of your Country ?? on: January 28, 2018, 04:39:42 AM
What do you think is the biggest problem of your country.

As per my thinking in my country Pakistan energy crisis and VIP culture is the biggest problem. If you are from my country then what do you think is the biggest problem and how can be overcome or remove this from our society.

What are necessary steps that one should take to eradicate the problems of their country.

In my country, one of the biggest problem is drugs. The president has been doing a lot of work to demolish the users of it now and the population decreased up to 70%. Though, not all users and pushers are under the control of the cops bow but they have lessened. The other problem that is ruining our country is corruption. It's a wide range problem in my country and should be stopped soonest possible.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: January 28, 2018, 04:12:25 AM
The journey of bitcoin from 2009 to 2017 is very interesting. Although the stories of individuals(investors) are very interesting and motivational that how they initiated and what problems they faced at earlier stages.

In 2017 the number of businesses accepting bitcoin continues to increase. Where you see the bitcoin in 2018?

BTC in 2018 will be a huge breakout. Late in 2017, BTC has been featured to many videos, shows and internet articles. If 2018 isn't the BTC year then it will continue its popularity in 2019. It's going to be an interesting ride for all of us bitcointalk users.
844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: January 28, 2018, 04:02:27 AM
So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.

But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.

They hate religion because every religion has a God they believe in. Many express a strong hatred of God. Sometimes you could just wonder and ask yourself as well, why do they hate someone I have faith on and I believe since I was a kid? Are they scared of hell or whatsoever? Atheist themselves are huge question for me. Why would they spread such negativity when their lives are given by someone they don't believe in.
845  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quit Facebook on: January 28, 2018, 03:29:52 AM
It has been almost a year already since I decided to stop using facebook. Tell you what, It feels great not seeing all these showbiz personalities, the faces of these stupid politicians, the drama etc...Would you quit facebook?, just try it and I assure you of one thing and that's "Reality".

It's really impossible for some people to quit it. It has been a part of their daily life. They connect with people who are far from them using facebook. Many people uses facebook as well for their business. For examlple ICOS camp. There are couple of category you can choose and one of them is facebook. It is a useful media nowadays specially when people are modernized.
846  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Guns - Why do we need them? on: January 28, 2018, 12:22:50 AM
We are living the most peaceful times in human history, yet there are people killed by the dozens every day. Guns and weapons are meant to "protect" but are used as means to "eradicate". Why do we need guns? What do you think?

Personally, we need guns to protect ourselves. Danger is out there waiting for us. Bad people are outside waiting for the timing to attack us. The use of gun as our self defense is actually a good one. Most people today are using guns to protect themselves. It is necessary also for us to register it in legal process.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping a Beginner on: January 27, 2018, 01:14:20 PM
Someone I know wants to meet with me to talk about BTC and crypto.
want to get into it.
What would you recommend be the step 1? for them to approach?

First, I would explain that engaging to BTC needs a lot of patience. If you aren't patient enough, then it's not gonna work.

Second, teach them one by one what are the rules. What they must do and don't.

Third, don't rush. It takes time to earn profit. You must not rush everything or else it's going to be over for you and your understanding.
848  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: January 27, 2018, 01:04:30 PM
Hello People of Bitcointalk Forum. Greetings, my name is athanz88.

With the implementation of new system called "Merit Point System" today, there are lot of emotions going around the forum right now, especially in the meta section.

You can find about it more at :
Quote

As I'm not going to discuss about it here (because the discussion is happening on the thread i mentioned at the upper line), I want to propose a poll to a simple question, which is

How Do You Feel About The Merit Point System???

What I'm asking here is only your emotion about this new system (for the poll) and 1 line of your best reason why do you feel that way. Without any discussion in this thread.
I made this poll because it is good to know the statistic for new system as it can be used to do many things. You know, data, and the main thing is because there is no poll in the original thread.

So, please kindly do this polling.

Best regards, athanz88.

P.S : this poll and the statistic gathered is only for a demographic data and will not be used as a tool to object/deny the new implemented system. In fact, im happy with this new system. If this is wrong, please just kindly tell me to delete or lock this topic, and dont bash me Sad

This is quite interesting and hard. This makes us (camp users/participants) more secure too. You can only get merits if you have quality posts and that is what we need right now. Good posts, senseful and actually useful. The measurement doesn't have to be the long answer, the valued answer is when it is composed with sense.
849  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: January 27, 2018, 12:51:07 PM
In my country transgenders are treated like animals. Their families give them up and they are raised by groups of transgenders living together, who raise them as their own. They are forced to beg, dance or sell their bodies in order to earn a living. They are looked down upon by the society because of their profession, but it's the society itself who has left them no choice. They are normally bullied, beaten and raped. In spite all of this they manage to put a smile on their face and live their life. In our society they are referred to as 'khawajasira' or 'khusra'. They have no job opportunities and until recently they were not even recognized as legal citizens. A lot of them have been fighting for their rights and they have succeeded to some extent, but honestly their is a long way to go.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvehhXaFh8U
this video will provide a better understanding of their life.

In my country, they aren't treated like animals but some people are LOOKING at them as if they're animals. There's this famous trans (a part of huge celebrity family) and his pictures are everywhere and used as meme. There is also this famous girl singer who decided to remove her boobs and inject testosterone and is treated like crap also. In my opinion, they must have the rights the same as us. Respect everyone.
850  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: January 27, 2018, 06:01:19 AM
I am here to just say one thing? Why do YOU hate islam? and you should really give a valid reason not a shitty one that says 'Because media'
and Yes, I am a muslim for those who ask, just tell me, come out of your shell and say why you HATE it, and I could be here to clarify things to you.
Also here is something that most people mistake about islam is that "Islam hates other religions" for this I say, Islam does not hate ANY religion, but it suggests to 'invite' them to islam, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because the other religions decided to come into war on Islam.

If you need anything clarified, I am here to answer you, don't be scared, I won't be offended by anyone, also haters, you can reply, I won't care Wink

I don't. Muslim people haven't harmed me or my family. Social media makes their image really bad. It's a really disgusting attitude for people to hate Islam just like that. Hating them is not worth it but people have different opinions. They could hate them because some of Islam people have harmed them or their family. It depends on the experience they underwent, if positive or negative.
851  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To travel is to live on: January 27, 2018, 05:52:59 AM
"Travelling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a story teller" a famous quote.
the world is book and those who do not travel read only one page. What you people think about traveling is worthy for life or not?
i am in love with travelling because in the end we only regret the chances we didn't take.

It is. When you travel, you are discovering yourself. When you travel you can meet new people. In traveling you can experience things you haven't experienced. Traveling is another word for a person. It is refreshing and you'd fall in love with it, a hundred percent.

852  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people are unhappy? on: January 27, 2018, 05:24:25 AM
Did you ever thought why many people are not happy even they have many possessions in life?  Did you ever thought the reason behind those agonies even if they tried to be happy but it wont last that long?  Physically,  they showed to the whole world that they are strong,  they enjoy their lives to the fullest.  But at end of the day,  loneliness attacks.  Did you ever thought why people are unhappy?

People are unhappy because they are not contented with what they have in life. They want more than what they already have. In order to be happy, we should be grateful for what we have, even the smallest thing.
853  Other / Off-topic / Re: Racism on: January 27, 2018, 01:59:59 AM
Hi! Today, I want to talk about a topic that I've experienced multiple times in my life, in this country. And that's racism! How do you view racism? Is it still alive in this country, in your opinion? Have you ever experienced racism in your life? How did you handle your racist experience?

It's disgusting, we are all equal. My skin colour, my accent, my nose line, height doesn't define my intellectual skill. I might be black and 5"1 but I can do better than others. One must not look at the race of a specific person to give them a good job.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Bitcoin as goal of investments on: January 27, 2018, 01:56:12 AM
Many people out there donīt believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?

Yes. Many people are discovering Eth now. Just like Btc, it'll rise soon. They're just having trouble with some mismatch BTC & ETH has. They are both beneficial, their prices rise and go down low, and they are good investment.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC to accept Bitcoin! on: January 26, 2018, 02:37:21 PM
I'm not gonna pay for fried chicken with bitcoin, period, unless I'm starving and have no fiat in my ppcket, bank, or hidden under the mattress.  I'm not exactly the definition of a hodler, but it strikes me as a big waste to buy something with bitcoin that's going to end up in the septic tank.  Makes sense, right?

The other thing is that it's totally impractical, with the outrageous fees and confirmation times. That's going to be some seriously cold chicken after 1 confirmation--and I can pay with fiat for free.

There are several wallet like what we use at philippines, we have designated wallet that registered in central bank name coins.ph, i guess that maybe some country are able to benefit the function of that particular wallet. Its been easy to transact, Send by address or Qr code in just few simple touch and ready to go, no need for a long period of confirmation as soon as you have balance inside, that matter only apply in internal transfer/ to coins.ph account to another coins.ph account "Instant process" on the other hand you cant do it with external( coins.ph acc to various bitcoin wallet). as bonus there will be no fee inside/within coins.ph account transaction only

Its a good way of having future at cashless society, for me bitcoin is a money, it must be spend at some time
there are lot of opportunity to do in other track and it's another topic to tackle about.
856  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well educated nation is the key? on: January 26, 2018, 01:47:13 PM
Without education, there will be no progress in a specific country. A country's success depends on the skills, ability and intellectual capacity of a person. A person controls a state or country, therefore that person should be educated enough to be able to manage a successful country. Education is needed everywhere, lack of it can cause dropping of economy rate and expansion of poverty.
857  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you feel about revenge? on: January 26, 2018, 01:36:51 PM
I was not born a bad person, but because of all the hardship I had in my life I discovered how sweet revenge feels.
There comes a time when it's too much and you can't take it anymore.
And you dream year after year of undoing the injustice that has been done upon you.
And when the moment comes, it's delicious.
They can see your eyes being cold, but you feel your own heart burning like hot embers.

Its has been my tools to encourage, dedicate and expand myself thru hardwork.
Pushing limits to be better achieve the goal, and escape the weaknesses they found at me,
Wishing a part that i can be proud of who i am today and made them respect and praise as i go.
Time to time its heal and will reset the tough emotions/feelings/mindset i had in life resulting for a individual understanding
A success personality means a better revenge than struggled at thinking outside the box.

" It may use for better way but people keep using mistake decision " we're humans, can be better when, what, where, who we want for the aspect of our lives.

858  Economy / Economics / Re: do you really like crypto coin? on: January 26, 2018, 12:27:47 PM
i like it a lot because this crypto i change how to make study hard.. like when im schooling before, and now same crypto before you move forward in all coin make sure study first. in crypto i make profitable income he even not much. also all ico token its like a lot also they also make your profit if you joined thier project.

Yes. We cannot really rely in one thing only. The exchange of BTC takes too long. While waiting for the exchange, we can use the time to collect crypto. While waiting we are also earning. Time is precious.
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your Bitcoin when you Die? on: January 21, 2018, 06:28:11 AM
Did you guys teach your family members on how to access and use your Bitcoin in case you will die?
Do you want to take your Bitcoin with you when you're gone?

Let me hear it from your own opinions...
If that happens without anyone knowing your bitcoin account and security, it would be useless and be gone forever. So it's advisable to inform your most trusted family member about your bitcoin account  so that it wouldn't be useless if in case something like that or an emergency happens. At the end of the day, it's better to be prepared.
860  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should I donate to charity? on: January 21, 2018, 06:08:03 AM
Guys, a lot of us make money on trading and sometimes there's an excess that you don't need. Do you think it's a good idea to donate part of the profits to charity? Whom would you suggest helping first?
That would be a wonderful idea. For a person like you whose earning more than what they need, it's good to know that you still think of other peple. Money won't lasts forever but sharing and kindness will live througout our lives that is why i am happy for you. In doing things like this, im sure you'll feel the satisfaction that only doing kindness can bring.
