843  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] HP DV4 Win 7 Ultimate 2.2GHz 4GB RAM Battery Holds Charge! 2 BTC on: May 25, 2013, 02:52:58 AM
Hello.

I am selling my now retired HP DV4 Laptop. Used to be my primary work-laptop. It is fully functioning and ready for immediate use, however it shows signs of moderate wear. Looking to sell for 2 BTC via an escrow!

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64, fresh installation, no software included, all updates are installed!
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.2GHZ T6600 800MHz FSB (Mines scrypt at ~14 KHs, for reference on performance)
RAM: 4 GB of DDR3 1066MHz (2x2GB, MAX RAM is 8 GB)
GPU: Intel GMA x4500M HD Integrated Graphics (Suitable for 1080p blu-ray video playback, business/work use, and light game use)
Screen: 1280x800 HD LCD Display
Wifi: Broadcom BG Wi-Fi
HDD: 120GB Toshiba SATA HDD
Battery: Standard 6-cell, Bought it 7 months ago, lasts up to 2.5 hours.

For you techy people, it has two internal PCI-E slots in total, one is free. First is for WiFi, which is installed, while the second is for wireless broadband card. However, I have a modified bios on the computer that allows the use of ANY PCI-E device in the slot. This includes PCI-E Solid-State Drives, secondary WiFi cards, or even external GPU's with the use of an adapter!.

The cosmetic portion of the case has bits of plastic missing in two places. At the indicator LED's as shown in the first photo, and on one on the screw holes of the HDD cover.

Also, instead of a CD drive it has a secondary SATA Hard-Drive bay, which is hot-pluggable. (Secondary HDD NOT included)

I also include the original HP 65-watt Power brick.

For shipping calculation purposes: I am located in 33314, So I will be shipping from there. I have for it prepared a foam-padded box with the following dimensions in inches (width x length x depth) 11.5x16x3.5 and it weighs (rounded up) approx 5 pounds. Shipping costs are not included.

Thanks, and have a good day.
844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the Fastest Method for Getting USD to a BTC Exchange? on: May 24, 2013, 08:44:00 PM
BitInstant. I took them $60 in cash and I had it converted into BTC that was then sent to my wallet by the time I arrove home from the moneygram location. This wouldn't work for very large amounts of money, though. Ideally it is for 25-500 USD.
845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox lost my funds on: May 24, 2013, 08:40:37 PM
Lesson of the day: MtGox sucks, use any other trading site from now on. BTC-E, Vircurex, Bitstamp, Bter. there are many that aren't royal crap.

LOL. Yeah. The one-world currency, the first tool of the antichrist. Seems fitting, until you realize that it doesn't fit the criteria.

1. The one world currency proposed in the bible requires that a chip be implanted on someone to make transactions, and that no other means are allowed, this would require the currency to be controlled, and centralized.  Not bitcoin.

2. Bitcoin has many alternatives

3. There's some scenarios where bitcoins just will never be viable. Specifically the places where simple cash is most used.

4. The bible is dumb.

The best way to become an atheist is by reading the bible.

xD
If you just accept the things how they are, and don't ask why and how you really are a dumb person, ignorant...
That's why there are many atheists, they realized some things on time.
I voice my opinion, you voice yours. Let's not go so low as to start shooting out insults without even using proper grammar.

What does it matter, anyways? Don't the GPUs pull power from the GPU power plug?

852  Bitcoin / Mining / Cheap mining GPU's suggestions? on: May 21, 2013, 04:53:52 PM
Hi.

I'm wondering if you guys know of any low-cost ATI GPU's that achieve decent hashrates in relation to their cost. They have to be $100 or cheaper.

Just to clarify, I'm not asking for crazy hashrates at no cost; I'm rather asking for an efficient hashrate to cost ratio. If that makes any sense.

I'd use my HD4530, but OpenCL support for it has been dropped in the latest drivers, and no legacy drivers are working properly for me in linux or windows.

Thanks.

Not mine. They are from a 2010 or 2009 technet subscription, before keys expired. I've even tested one of these to activate my Windows 7 install on a new laptop 3 days ago.

Here's an idea. GPU accelerated litecoin mining on a PS3.
856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading Bot for BTC-e and Mt Gox on: May 14, 2013, 04:28:41 AM
Of course there are no trading bots out there. Open source or not. If everyone has a bot then the bot will become less effective at making money.

Anyways, Here's an idea from a friend(Who is making a bot, by coincidence): pass the trollbox on btce through a bayesian filter. Tongue That way, you can calculate possibilities of prices rising or falling depending on what people are saying. Have fun!

Ah. I see. That's good, then.
858  Economy / Services / Re: Apple iPhone Factory Unlocking - Best Prices - Fastest Service on: May 12, 2013, 04:01:26 PM
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't have more activity than it does. Perhaps it's simply because of the nature of bitcointalk. You ought to make a little website to streamline the process and appear more professional, and thus, trustworthy. Maybe. Like how BitSpend and BitSumo got such reputation from the reddit and twitter reviews?

Bump. All the prices on software license are halved for the weekend.
860  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] WinXP Pro x64 (64 bit) Windows XP Professional Operating System 0.3BTC on: May 09, 2013, 03:25:47 PM
I don't mean to bash or anything, but why would anyone want XP 64-bit? XP 64-bit was rather just buggy, and XP anything is kind of useless in comparison to other OS's as well as wasteful these days. Especially on anything with a 64bit processor.
