yep - its hard to justify new gear atm with that tariff - at least for me it is. I would need to sell some existing machines first. I did like to see the little rise we got in todays btc price. makes my holdings just a bit more valuable edit i think bitmain heard me... they just gave me 14 new coupons worth over 250 and 7 for 160 --- the 65's I have had for a bit

that is on sky's end as he was into solar installs for more then 5 years before BTC was around.
I live less then 5 miles from him and handle btc+ ltc gear and mining setup.
I promo for this as it works hand and hand
Solar + Crypto = winner in NJ
my job is talkng and blogging it and getting good gear at good prices.
bring those skills to FL - you can start on my spare lot

What are you talking about? Blocks are discovered by pure luck, if you want a higher frequency, bring more hashrate to the pool.
Bring an Exahash and everyone would earn more than on any PPS pool right now. So why are some fools still mining on PPS pools? Because they can't manage themselves. The largest miners are the ones who benefit more from PPLNS.
Frequency of block discovery will not increase or decrease your profits, but will reduce the variance in a given period, to the point it will almost look like PPS but better paid (and risk free).
So bring those whale miners here if you want higher block frequency. Whining at Kano is like yelling at the dice for not getting a double 6...
totally agree but for some that have to pay the electric and without a decent reserve, several weeks with no payouts can wreck them. Some of them need the steady payouts to just stay afloat - for them, large pps pools might be a better idea but I do agree that pplns is way better and if we could quadruple the pool hash rate, we would be killing any/all pps pools in payouts. but long run, like you said, the luck will work out and their net payments should be pretty much equal either way they go. It is all about that luck

where are the blocks? Bring on the blocks!

Thinking we're getting fractions of pennies instead of our fractions of quarters. that is my guess as well and one of the main reasons I do not mine on Slush anymore - I get my alt coin payouts steadily on via BTC though - and yes it is pretty much equal to pennies but at least they pay out what they claim they will payout. Slush has not for a year. If they do now, good - and about damn time.

NMC will be paid out exactly according to the exchange rate. There have been several exchanges last year. We will provide more details when we will pay out NMC.
exchange rate as of now? or as of the time the reward was actually earned? remember it has not been paid out for over a year. and at that time because slush stopped payout right around the time NMC peaked at its all time highest value - coincidence? I think not.

you may definitely want to upgrade to a new firmware and is that a custom firmware? I dont see that version on Bitmains site. I also have not seen where the hostname is as yours is. maybe compare the screen to one of the miners that is working? see if all the fields are the same. here is what mine shows (i am not running the latest version of LPM - the one I have seems to lower power consumption yet leave the hashrate alone. the newest one has been reported at lowering both power consumption and hash rate) https://ibb.co/9sqsZzC

The NMC rewards for the previous year will be paid out within a few weeks. We are very sorry for the delay.
at what value? current market value or are you going to compensate users for the fact that had you paid timely they would have 1000 times more cash then they will now that the value of NMC is basically zero?

Almost like they lost access to the NMC wallet and can't change the settings. lol
yea right... lol
|
|
|
we will look into that. You can report the bugs also on this website. Thanks! you guys always glaze over/skip the question about NMC - care to address? I mean it might be pretty moot seeing as NMC is near worthless now, but it was not worthless last year when payouts suddenly stopped.

will slush 3.0 finally pay out the year of backlogged NMC? back when it was $13 a coin and no one was getting their NMC....
Those are donations to the pool. haha yea right? I have had miners on other pools that promised to pay out extra little bits in alt coins and actually did and still do such as viaBTC pool - when I last mined there, they paid out BTC along with 3 other alt coins if you were mining BTC. What makes it bad is slush shows you the NMC there but the payouts are all pending.

... But power cost is 13 cents.
The first 40kwatts is solar and next to free.
After that 13 cents.
Once setup we will have extra gear just in case of a run up in coin price And tap into the high cost power.
ouch, I now love my 5 cent power more after hearing that 13 cent number. lol

this month I will be adding some sound deadening as well - can hear my miners from the road lol - but it should also help with insulation against the summer heat.

nice review - I just wish they were not so expensive to buy - the roi time frame makes them pretty much useless.

Can you please check if the behavior goes away if you take one of the Antminers and change to another pool? Just to confirm if it's the same problem or something else. Thanks!
I forgot that not all miners are on Kano - I do have one miner that is on Slushpool, it has also had the same issue, just less frequently as it is only one miner.

Yea, I have my fan, I just need to install it. but kinda have not gotten to it because the cool weather. but it hit 80 today so I may need to do it soon.

Is this Antminers? The reason I'm asking is that I've had a number of reports that Antminers stop responding to API (monitoring interface) requests when mining on certain pools. By changing to another pool the problem goes away. I know this sounds very strange, but I've had a number of reports about exacty that.
yes they are antminers and the current pool that these units are on is kano.is Can you please check if the behavior goes away if you take one of the Antminers and change to another pool? Just to confirm if it's the same problem or something else. Thanks! I can try that later tonight but as the time between this happening is a few hours to a few days, I hope it is fast, I dont want to have my miners ramping down for too long, will end up costing me if it takes too long.
