8481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: February 06, 2019, 04:57:18 PM
@patrike since the last few updates, my cloud services and machine on site are constantly losing API access - The miners are working fine, I can see that on the pool side - but the AM interface is losing access, I have to reboot the miners in order for them to regain access. kind of annoying as I always initially feel like the miners have gone offline but they are all working fine, thankfully.

Any ideas on why? and how to resolve?

I just wish I was still not ramping up, takes sooooo long now. Been ramping up for 15 days and appears to be only half way ramped up so far.

Yea, but each shift you had shares in are in the 5Nd bank and you'll get paid a portion of it with each of the next blocks until you get paid for all of it. Smiley

oh, I understand that, but still wish it was not so long lol really just wish my power company wasnt being a pita - that way I had never been offline.

8486  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 31, 2019, 01:17:38 AM
per hour  24/7 on average.   or 24 x 42 = 1000 kwatts a day

ok yea that is much better. I am possibly selling 5 of my s9's and if that sale goes thru, I will be buying an S15 and an s11 or maybe 3 s11's not decided yet.
8487  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 30, 2019, 03:16:21 PM
yes - the average is lower now - more like 30 to 35 kwh  and wait, your 1000 panels is only 42 kw per day? or do you mean per hour?
8488  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 30, 2019, 05:17:06 AM
I wish my solar was more effective - 36 panels and only 40 to 45 kwh per day generated - it was supposed to be generating 60 to 70 per their damn sales pitch.
8489  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 29, 2019, 08:16:53 PM
very nice phil! I am jealous - I need to get one of these put on my second lot lol
8490  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 21, 2019, 04:43:18 PM
how are you going about the financing? every bank I have approached backs out as soon as they hear crypto. I got one bank to be interested but only because I called it a data center instead and did not mention crypto at all.
8491  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: January 21, 2019, 03:30:28 PM
nice! this is what I want to do on my side lot! especially since the electric company is being a dick about installing a transformer.

Takes the same each way - 5Nd Smiley

The time of 5Nd of course depends on the changing pool hash rate.
[/quote]

yes because it depends on the changing pool hash rate, it is actually not always the same each way - the first time I ramped up it was 5 days, when I finally ramped down it took 6 weeks. also isnt 5nd also affected by network difficulty as well?

my statement simply means i hope it doesn't take 6 weeks to ramp up.

Nice! Let's hope you find the next block!  Cheesy

shoot I wish I would! hoping ramp up does not take as long as my ramp down took (over a month)
8494  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My "mini" mining farm on: January 18, 2019, 01:59:00 AM
nicely done! I can see how the wall might be beneficial in a large area - my area is not that large so I vent my miners directly outside - they are placed about a foot away from the inside wall with a 6" dryer vent pushing the air outside - I have dehumidfier to help with humidity and a fan pushing about 2500 cfm (used to use an ac unit but found it could not keep up with needed airflow as I added more miners. Also the fan seems to cost less to operate as well.

and........ I'm back!!! but only with 5 miners total - all I could siphon off my house line is enough for 8 miners - 5 are mine and 3 I am hosting for someone else. Hopefully more hash coming soon though - now to ramp back up!

You don't get paid in full in the beginning, there is a "ramp up" period, this is to deter pool hoppers. But there is also a "ramp down" period, should your miner stop for whatever reason, it slowly decays instead of you getting zero immediately. I call it the PPLNS advantage. Of course if you stop mining but return quickly, it won't decay much and go back to full payments quickly.

Just check your Shift Reward and look at the red line to know where you are standing in the ramp.

yea, the ramp down for me lasted over a month. Really wish I had been here for the triple day! Sad

yea, I had high hopes for this one as well - especially with the tariffs on buying from China. But yea sold out? when did they ever start selling?

If you had been in the pool and had your full 5Nd already the 1st block was based on pool HR of 48.35PH, the 2nd on 55.45PH, and the 3rd on 58.01PH.  You have to remember that the 5Nd works in both directions so your estimate may have been higher Smiley

I was just using the values as listed on minergain - which I believe he takes into account the hash rate at the time the block is found.

Looks 400ish PH/s to me:

I was more talking about the pool average that was shown on the block. means they are still ramping up. had I been in the pool my reward would have been about $40 for the 3 blocks combined.

3 blocks in one day! damn! nice! really wish I was back in the pool Sad  looks like the hash rate is steady now and not really fail over any more. as the average hash rate is now close to 300 ph/s
