8481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we risk mining bitcoins ? on: August 27, 2017, 04:52:12 AM
i will love to hear opinions from everyone, do you think its worth it? should we risk mining the cryptocurrency ?

I am not really for minining cause it's often shown that it's very easy to mine a coin and that there are profits
What they don't tell you is that there are costs involved in it. Your electricity bill will go through the roof and you will have a hard time paying that bill off. Secondly you need to have a good amount of hash to keep it going, then if you are lucky you will do it the right way, or you land up at a scam site and its gone. Look mining is possible where electricity rate is low you have a computer that can support kt without getting fried.
8482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The SegWit activation was a joke? on: August 26, 2017, 11:15:04 AM
Hello guys, I really don't understand all the "excitement" about that SegWit thing. It already activated couple of days ago and still nothing - too many unconfirmed transactions, fees are very high, block sizes are still under 1 MB, and slow confirmations. Where is the promised lightning network? When (if at all) the current situation will change?

The segwit was not a joke, a consensus was clinched for the first time, look at the price rise where did it come from. Like the user above me said bcc is being a pain, a big pain, I had initially expected it to disappear in a week time, but now news comes it's getting lots of hash, and miners will go where they earn most, but what I believe is only matter of few days, so just hold on, I am sure good things will come. Besides no one promised it would improve over night, I am really sure it will work for good.
8483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parents disagree with MMO – Make Money Online and Bitcoin ? on: August 26, 2017, 10:16:38 AM
My parent , especially my mom , she always tell me to stop doing bitcoin otherwise i will go to jail or doing bad things to social ! I don't get it ! Old generation seem very lack of experience in Bitcoin ! Why they keep telling us to stop when they even don't know how to check a simple email on ebay ! How to explain them guys ?

Hahaha this is the typical reactions of the elders, it's just not your mom, it's a reaction I have seen many elders do. Initially even my parents were not convinced, but then I showed them growth, and how no one will ever know I own it then they allowed me. Maybe your mom has read some articles that say it's not legal, or your country has not accepted it. You need to convince her that even if it's not legal, no one can know you own it and that it has tremendous potential, best is buy her something out of the profit and don't mind, continue owning Bitcoins.
8484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Not Practical As a Currency? on: August 26, 2017, 09:30:41 AM
I just read this somewhere from a site that is also introducing its own version of cryptocurrency and they claimed to be combining the best of both worlds...that of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Anyway, let's give them the needed good luck in the sea of cryptocurrencies we already have.

Quote

Bitcoin is a digital currency, invented by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009, that is limited to just 21,000,000 units. As the price of bitcoin has risen, its use case has evolved from a currency into a store of value. It is no longer practical to use bitcoin to make every day purchases
.

There are two points presented here. One is that Bitcoin has already evolved from being a currency into a store of value (maybe just like the physical gold) and two that Bitcoin is not anymore practical to be used for day to day purchases (maybe because it is very volatile and hence people are becoming speculators with its value).

Any comment?

So before I comment what's the name of the site, and what do you mean they are trying to mix it. Yes it's true that people use Bitcoin as a store value, but then it's also true that people also use it as a currency, many people use it to lend and they even use it for to buying so it's not entirely true to, yes the fees are high and it's volatile but many businesses are using it.
8485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash a threat for bitcoin on: August 26, 2017, 09:18:05 AM
Hello,

Since the fork we have a new coin very similar to bitcoin , do you think it is a threat to bitcoin?
Now I have those bitcoin cash and i don't know what to do with them.

I don't have the technic gear to choose between both, and I feel bitcoin cash is taking bitcoin down am I right? It's taking a part of its market capitalization.

This topic has been discussed so many times, first of all its not even similar it's an alt, it's just stolen Bitcoin name and there is nothing else in it. I don't find it strong enough to take down Bitcoins, it will fade away very soon, i dont know about the prices but if you are getting a good price just sell it off, I don't think it's worth to keep it.
8486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU AGREE? on: August 25, 2017, 05:25:03 AM
Masterluc a Legendary Bitcoin Trader
now predicts that Bitcoin will reach $15,000 before the end of this year. What’s more, he believes that Bitcoin will reach a price of $40,000 - $110,000 by the end of this bull run. He gives a timeframe of 2019 for that price target.

While these numbers seem absolutely extraordinary, many traders have noted that the recent “bubble” doesn’t seem so bubbly after all. Bitcoin has not yet gone parabolic as it did at the end of previous bubble cycles.
No guarantees

Of course, as any investing prospectus will tell you, past performance is no guarantee of future gains. It remains to be seen if masterluc is correct in his predictions. If--and it’s a big if--he is correct, there are going to be a lot more Bitcoin millionaires by 2019.
Do You Agree?

I have never heard his name before and I am glad I haven't, have you even seen the figures quoted by him, ask yourself logically how in the world will it happen. I don't really get it where they get all this astronomical figures from, it makes absolutely no sense for such high figures. I believe that 5500$ is where it can max reach and then stabilize at 5k year on. In two years 7-8k is max I see it and on the downfall 2-3k won't go below than that. I hope this legendary person of yours has calculated the forks coming Bitcoin way.
8487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if BTC gets regulated? on: August 25, 2017, 05:18:10 AM
Hello,

Just read somewhere that BTC is accepted by strippers now? lol

I wonder what will happen if it gets regulated by the government? value would go down? perhaps consolidation?

Overall , what's the general outlook? Obviously, I understand it'll be personal opinion but still. Go ahead and share. I'll get to learn something new.

So you mean to say just cause it's accepted by strippers that it shall be regulated, let's say it's regulated it's price is not really impacted, look at Japan for example, as soon as they regulated the coin it's price shot up, related coins have their pros and cons but Japan regulations gave us the boost, and I feel it shall Bitcoin take new heights but then again it shall leave us vulnerable against the government, taxes and all so ya would prefer if it's not regulated.

I don't know about you all but I am deeply upset about the fact that Sensa or Arya is going to die and this is just not a rumor anymore, the director has confirmed it. He has also specified that this show is and has always been about of Jon and Denerys. Now one theory every one believes is that Jon and Denerys shall bed and Denerys shall have a child and post that Jon releizes he is a tageryen, there are scripts that say this, they even claim Bran shall die to. Now the question is where are they leading us, I can't bear to see the stark sisters to die, and for the first time I am hoping it leaks, it's so immoral but I guess I can't wait, Monday seems so far, anyone else feels the same?
8489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of 1 Satoshi rise to $1? on: August 24, 2017, 10:21:20 AM
In the early beginnings of Bitcoins (2009-2010) it was easy to get some Bitcoins either by buying them for a few cents, by mining (which was easy in the early days) or even some faucets gave away some bitcoins every day just for clicking a button or solving a captcha. And now watch how expensive a Bitcoin is now.

Today you would not get Bitcoins but only Satoshis for the same time and effort. And as the price rises, you get fewer and fewer Satoshis of course.

Do you think that the price of a single Satoshi will be something like $1 one day? Or even more than that? Will there be fractions of Satoshis in the future like mSatoshis (Milli Satoshi)?

If yes, we should fight for every single Satoshi now as long as the price is relatively low. Use faucets, trade, buy, mine and hold them until you are rich. It's too late now to get whole bitcoins (too expensive) but some thousands of Satoshis here and there could be a lot of money in the future.

What do you think?

Don't do facuets they are boring 50 satoshi's per hour is not going to make your money in the long run, yes no one back thought Bitcoin could rise it so high, but it did rise, facuets are dead until the Bitcoin price goes down, so best way to earn is join signature campaigns, giveaway, sell services and that's the best way to earn it. Earning satoshi's won't make you any money, it's very slow so you ought to change direction, or else you won't make money.
8490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Warren Buffett buy bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 09:29:42 AM
Who knows?
The rate of return is so high。

You will never know this, he's Warren for a reason. These guys often have proxies and off shore companies, then they have so many firms and investment and one of them could have brought it and hid it so well, that people will never even know about it. That's the way they become rich, they know to capitalize, I have a gut feel he owns it. For him it will be just a stock and he will easily buy it and sell it off, without anyone knowing, then convert the Fiat into one of his investment and he has his money back with profit.

You rate high Fortune jack they steal to making user play through deposit 5 times before cashout.

You promote Luckygames - Owner admit to cheating player because he was too good.

Finally, you promote also Bitstarz who has also cheated many users out of legit winning due to bullshit terms made up.

You sir Joeseph are also scam and should have Red trust and should not be trusted promoting scam casinos.

Ok op what do you mean under table cash? There is a signature campaign which is allowed by the forum rules, each campaign had various conditions. In all this time, I have first time seen someone accuse them, and it's sad cause for me they are the best casino, and Alex the owner takes his work seriously. In case he hasn't replied to your query it's cause he's busy with Ico. So now tell us how much and where did you loose.

8492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: August 23, 2017, 03:27:38 AM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?
Even gambling with your own money is very hard, how much more gambling with someone's else money, Why would any sane person do that at all. The risk of losing is very high and losing someone's else other than your own is bound to cause serious problems.
It is just the way how an addicted gambler doing their job.
To do anything for the sake of satisfaction that actually will never completely get filled.
The more crazy you are , the more chance for you to get broke because of gambling. Be careful.

Gambling is risky there is no doubt about it, one should always gamble with a mindset that he can afford the loss, if he can't he should not. Now playing with other people money umm I am a gambler, we'll a addicted one, I have seen good times and bad times but I have never take else money to gamble, look for the simple sake you loose your money, you yet have a life and can move on, you loose their money your life is their's, I as a gambler do value my freedom a lot.

Bitcoins is getting a bad name and it's nothing that's it has done to get it, it's due to Game of thrones, the alleged Mr Smith, has demanded 6 million in Bitcoins and every time leak news comes, people are highlighting Bitcoin and sooner or later we are going to see a major anger of people directed at us, Bitcoin users. So many of my friends have taunted me that's it's bad and one should not use it and I am really worried that the hackers are really spoiling the name of Bitcoins.
8494  Economy / Economics / Re: A wise strategy for your bitcoin on: August 22, 2017, 04:08:34 AM
Hello everyone, I want to share about my strategy with bitcoin and I need your advice.
So the example is, I've buy bitcoin in price $2000/btc with amount $750 so I have 0.375 btc. When the price climb to $4100/btc, I sell my 0.184 btc to get my first capital and get $754.4 and 0.191 btc left .then when the price dump again to around $3900, I buy it again with my $754.4, so I get 0.193xxx btc and  my total btc is 0.384xx. With my $750 I can keep increase my bitcoin with this strategy. So what do you think. Am I doing right with my bitcoin? Or you have any advice. Please explain.

From what I understand you are treating Bitcoin like stocks, but at every dip sell at every high while this is a nice strategy, you sold at 4100 while Bitcoin went way above 4500+ you can calculate the amount you missed, the only problem with your strategy is you will always be in a hurry to sell and you may miss the bull rides often. I would suggest not to sell them, keep on buying at dips and continue make a average.
8495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [HELP] I mistaken "odds" with "chance" on safedice -- 3.7BTC loss from this on: August 21, 2017, 09:56:05 AM
Please see:

http://image.prntscr.com/image/74e71a6f89b142ac895d18300a6156a3.png

Will safedice help me? I always play 1.5-3x odds on this site, never such high odds. I accidentally mistaken chance for odds, I double every loss on 2.2% chance (45x odds) instead of playing 2.2x game odds

Will safedice help me in this situation it is obvious it was a big mistake ... $5700 is a lot of money to me, i was not going to play in such risky way, i hope they can help me

what do you think.... will safe dice help me Huh Huh

Dear op I don't think anyone here or the site will be able to help you. Now there are two views out here, one you lost in your pursuit of going for higher returns, which many would like to believe, then again those are who sympathetic with you will agree you did not do it on purpose and it's a genuine loss, I am mixed to pick up a side but sadly there is nothing you can do, move on and I know it's a huge losses but that's the risk of gambling, try and stay away from it till you can recover it fully.
8496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2017 Football Summer Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 21, 2017, 09:34:52 AM
Recently surfaced that Manchester City are in talks with Messi's agent and are willing to pay his buyout clause(300 mil). It is going to be very interesting how Barcelona will react if Messi agrees t the deal. Barcelona will be incredibly rich but how will they buy? Going to be a really big cause of concerns if the deal does go through. Just rumors as of now.

This is a typical way of telling Barcelona increase my wages more, throw more money at me, Barcelona will never allow him to leave until he is 33 - 34 maybe yes then they will. If you are not aware he's not signed his contract and it's obvious his agent is trying this tactic, either way he gets richer, if he does lands at city he could easily earn 8 - 10 per week. As a Manchester United fan I hope that never happens.
8497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin Cash have a chance at overtaking Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2017, 09:06:28 AM
Anybody else getting worried that this may be a possibility?  Huh

No it won't happen at all, this rise of Bitcoin is nothing but the flame of a passing Lantern before it's gone for ever, it's a bug filled software, it's centralized and so many lost their Bitcoins trying to get it, I don't think it's really worth having a bcc, it's a alt for me that stole Bitcoins name. I am sure in a few days time it shall be history, there is absolutely no need to worry about it.
8498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I NEVER discard private keys even after spent? on: August 21, 2017, 04:00:09 AM
About 6 months ago, I sent 2 Bitcoins from a paper wallet to Coinbase and sold the two Bitcoins for $1000 a piece.  I believe I discarded the paper wallet with the private keys on it because the wallet was spent.

If I had access to those private keys, would I have access to those Bitcoin Cash and all future forks?

Also...is this an argument to NEVER discard private keys even if the wallet is empty?

I don't think there will be any issue, but this is where I was stuck last time I took a paper wallet, I realized you need to spend it on a whole and then again make one, what I was uncomfortable was with the fees and every time I put my private key in the exchanges or other wallets I was scared to loose it, but since you don't have any money left then it won't really matter, unless you were expecting a payment. Bch was only if you had coins which is aperent you didn't have so no need to worry.
8499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 20, 2017, 11:36:53 AM
Srilanka is playing some really good cricket and it was kind of expected, they are hurting from the test series and India bowlers are not their prime time one, barring one or two. So it's kind of interesting to see if they will scored 300 plus and team India will be able to chase it down. The main focus would be on Kohli and Dhoni, both have not performed that we'll. While no one can touch Kohli, Dhoni is put on the watch list perform or perish. Let's see what happens now. India or Lanka what are you playing on
8500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: August 20, 2017, 11:03:02 AM
Bitcoin has become the world most valuable asset and the value keeps going higher!

Why not we should focus on saving more bitcoins than selling our last remaining bitcoins?

I read and hear from a lot of guys owning bitcoin saying, should I sell my bitcoins?

The issues is, if you sell all your bitcoins when are you going to buy at lower price?

There's no guarantee when exactly bitcoin price will surely come down.

Share your thoughts about what you think guys. Smiley

Well you have valid points and I do agree with you that bitcoin is a valuable assect and one should be very careful if one is to sell, but then again what happens if one holds it for a high price and it falls, so one should do it as per his or her needs. I would suggest if you have urgent needs then sell or tie it to a goal, only if you can afford the volatility then keep them on. Best way is to buy it on every dips.
