But in the end this is a bitcoin pool not a us dollar pool... You end with more bitcoins here! Smiley
if it was more bitcoins it would also be equal to more dollars, just saying.
Yes, but minergain is probably calculating as if you sold your earned bitcoin at that moment.

This is what I was meaning Smiley

I have been offline for a month and still got a few hundred sat's from this one. that will just add to the dust that accumulated when I was ramping up... still hoping to be online again soon.

I was surprised since the Kano YTD on the home page was always higher than slush.  But I see that right now it is lower.  With the two soft months in a row on Kano, that drops the values down.  When we find a block, the Week, Month, quarter and YTD will probably be over slush again since we get paid hundreds (or thousands) of times more per miner Th.

agreed.

I updated this so you can input your months now (be aware a max of 100 records are displayed so many months will not work well on daily report).  Unfortunately I do not have viabtc stats older than a few months yet.  I do have slush since they began and several years of Kano.

Yes, it is important to look at everything long term.  The amazing thing to me is that since we are just "rolling dice", it is possible that even with this lower hash rate (which is climbing thankfully) we could get 3 blocks in the next hour - or even 15.  Granted it is not likely but possible.  If that were to happen, the numbers would instantly change to a very different story.

nice! thanks for the addition! Even with viabtc not going back as many months - the comparison for Slush vs Kano shows that even with past 12 months that the variance is only in the $300 range.

I ran it back for 24 months and the variance was only about $1200. I was surprised to see that no matter the time range I use that kano was actually a lower net payout, but not by a huge variance.

Not really their target specs that were released would still be one of the most efficient pieces of hardware out there if it ships within the next couple months. It would just have to be priced accordingly.

I'm guessing they ran out of funds or lost funding part way through the project. The other option being they chose to mine for themselves. Those are the only explanations I could think of for allowing your product to lose all the momentum it had early on.

Either way I don't think this is ever going to hit the market. I'm just glad there was no pre-sale involved.

price is what I was referring to. with it being their first release,  I doubt they will want or even try to be price competitive.

I think, for some, they simply look at what each pool can offer them for the month - not always looking at long term. I will use this snapshot as an example - wish that minergain went a full year back though to show a more thorough comparison, but for this example the past 2 months should work.

so in the example I will use 71 th/s (about average for 5 S9's) for the past 2 months, even with the increased payout due to smaller pool - I do realize that due to the ramping down of those that left that the payout would have been higher had they been fully ramped down - but for this example, this still works - with Kano finding 13 blocks, the reward would be $380 with Kano while it would have been $681 with slush and $755 with BTC

for some - that is all that matters - the monthly pay. My guess is because they often reinvest the profits to get more miners.

for the 3 months I mined with Kano, I used 5 S9's - I also had placed 5 S9's on 3 other larger pools. The net variance between the 4 different pools was very very minimal. So, yes the luck usually eventually even it all out. You may just need deep pockets to hold you over till it does, if you were not here when it was really good.

Emailed a couple days ago, no reply.  Not sure if this company is going to deliver as of lately..  We are now looking at a 2019 miner which I doubt will be a low price.

will be very hard for them to be competitive at this point.

Find a room you're not using and exhaust it outside, like literally right next to the window.   I did that for 3-4 months at home, couldn't hear it inside minus walking by the room.

no empty rooms in my house. Still working on the electric company to at least turn the one meter back on - even if they wont install the transformer for the larger building. Hard to deal with them though when I work 50-60 hours a week and it being the holidays so a lot of time is spent with the family preparing for next week. Hopefully after the first of the year.

That's the PPLNS advantage, slow to ramp up, slow to ramp down...

yep! I am getting at least something! I think I have been offline for a month now Sad
Each reward calculates and says how long the 5Nd was.
The last reward was 561hr 1m 30s or about 23 and 1/3 days.

yes not a quite a month but close - my miners went offline Nov 26th so yes 23 days. so the reward I received yesterday will be my last one until I get back online. I have tried to run a miner in my house but after a few minutes the wife was like "hell no, get that thing out of the house" lol

agreed - and all I get from them thru Skype is that they are working on it.

woohoo!!! another block!!! sadly as still offline, I only got .001 for reward:( I dont want to imagine what I have lost on the last 2 blocks by being offline Sad

8515  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S11 20.5 TH on: December 12, 2018, 05:02:23 PM
I don't know li but if you trust them it's a good buy as the m10 won't have another batch out till late January I believe.

If the s11 unit is solid I might get one or two with coupons I have, replace the s9's. Maybe that will take away from the "mark" Stryfe mentions.

This should be under threshold for our shipper but they will charge more for delivery to soak the tariff for us. Still cheaper than 27.6%.

it states no coupons could be used - I have dozens and none of them were available to be applied to the s11.

Gaku, my contact at Triple-1, says: "1st version is for our limited customers and price for general customers is still considering carefully now."

sounds par for course, they have been telling me this for almost 2 months now.

Mmmm, in 4 seconds with a calculator I got 0.02055831 for 71TH/s at and since the pool is still ramping down and is at 96PH with this block about half that so you would have gotten about 0.01027915 for this block.

thank you.  .01 is not a bad reward, about 2.5 times what I was getting before the power was cut off - my normal block rewards were about .004 but that was when the pool was much larger.

I think overall I have lost quite a bit since my power was disconnected. SP was earning .01 every 4 days or so, AP and BTCP were all doing about .01 ever 4 days as well. So, as I go into day 12 of not running my asics, I have lost prolly around .1 or so - I do realize had Kano stayed up where it was at, we would have most likely found more blocks and that .1 would be even higher.

**EDIT** I went back to that link and i do not see the value "0.02055831" anywhere on that page when I enter 71 th/s and hit calculate.

**EDIT** now I did find this site easier for me to understand, https://minergain.com/?btcstats&poolid=-1&hash=71&groupby=1  and it gave me a value of 0.0116072 which is rather close to your "0.01027915"

Well what that all means is that e.g. if the pool expected one block every 6.5 days, then your reward per block is 6.5 times what you expect each day.

However, since it's 5Nd per reward, it depends on the pool average hash rate over 5Nd, not the current hash rate.

ok but when I follow that link and put in my hash rate, I dont understand the values it gives nor how to take those and calculate what the reward might have been.

thanks though.
8520  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~50PH] KanoPool kano.is 0.9% fee 4.3of 10BTC giveaway 🐈 US,UK,JP,NYA,OR,DE,SG on: December 07, 2018, 07:36:42 PM
To find your BTC per Block, use Kano's calculator http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php, put in your TH/s and hit calculate.  Then take (BTC to expect per Day per TH/s) divided by (Pool Average Blocks per Day) times (your TH/s) and it should give you your expected BTC per Block at the current hashrate.

yea I tried that, it looks like gibberish to me - hence why I asked.

Thanks though.

**edit**

Now, I looked and saw that even though my miners have been offline since Nov26th about 4pm (11 days) I still got a payout of .00221836 so at least something to smile about Smiley
