8501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: March 19, 2017, 03:43:31 PM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

Well, that would be hard . Because most of us rely on using bitcoin. I mean most of us is working using bitcoin . If government or your own country, this will be bad. Think about the posibilities about this one. Bitcoin Society will be down. Bitcoin users will stop and look for another job to do. Because bitcoin is now on our society.

Honestly, I don't believe in such scenario.
World today is very divided and in conflict.
Do you really think that EU and Trump can agree about anything?
Or Putin and EU?
Iran and America?
I don't think so.
They all have very different political and economical interests in the world and I don't believe in unique decision about bitcoin.
Some countries may try to ban bitcoin but I don't believe it's realistic and possible.
They can't close Internet or control each citizen on Internet, no way.
I'm more worried about possible tax for bitcoin income.
8502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how has your attitude to bitcoin changed the longer you've been into it? on: March 19, 2017, 03:34:37 PM
When I heard about bitcoin I was very skeptic.
I didn't trust it much and almost forgot about bitcoin.
When I heard again about bitcoin, and heard stories how many people earning good money with bitcoin, I became curious and started research.
Very soon I realized that bitcoin is not just some kind of virtual money, or new payment way, but more like way of life.
First time ordinary people own money and their financial future.
We have great opportunity to change our lives and get rid from greedy banks, governments, tax offices etc.
I really looking forward to day when I will have enough bitcoin to start new life, free from everyday stress at work and in society.

8503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: there is no money, only weapons :) on: March 18, 2017, 05:25:50 PM
Well interesting but I don't agree.
I remember one old story, I heard from somebody.
Stalin appreciate only force and didn't respect countries without strong army.
When someone told him how Pope from Vatican is so powerful and influential in the world, he joked and asked: ''How many how many tanks and soldiers pope have?''.
Well, we know what happened with Stalin and communism and what happened with Pope and Vatican.
Communism and USSR collapsed in just 70 years and Pope and Vatican are still here, more than 2 000 years.
So, no weapons or money, only God Smiley

8504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people believe in religion? on: March 18, 2017, 05:17:20 PM
I don't know why people believe in religion (especially in today's world with the all information available few mouse clicks away) but I think it's their right to believe in whatever they want. For example I was raised in a family where my mother has been christian and my father has been atheist. Until I was 17 I believed in God and Jesus but after reading many books and documentaries I stopped believing. And it was on my own. Nobody forced me to believe or not to believe.

The most important thing is that whatever you believe in does not harm anyone. As long as you keep it for yourself and for your own spiritual good I don't see any problem. I know my mother finds strength in her belief so why would I try to convince her to stop believing.

I think that many people search for purpose in their life.
I believe also in the spiritual reality, not just physical.
Yes, scientists can create many ''nice'' things and our life is better now than before, but still many people feel''empty'' and without purpose of life.
Do you think that technology or science can give us purpose of life?
Or help us find ''inner'' peace in our mind?
I don't think so.
When we talk about God, we are talking about spiritual reality, and science can't help us in this area.

8505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: March 18, 2017, 05:11:19 PM
Yes and no.
If you ask my government, bitcoin is not money, or financial assets.
If you ask me, bitcoin is money Smiley
Realistically, bitcoin will never become official money because of some limitations like no regulation, no control, decentralization, and specially anonymity.
Still I think that bitcoin will become more popular and mainstream like alternative currency and online payment.
I'm sure that in a few years most online merchants will offer bitcoin payments and its price will jump to the sky Smiley
We are in the right time and in the right place guys!

8506  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France: Suspect arrested after shooting at Grasse school on: March 16, 2017, 03:07:24 PM
One person has been arrested after a shooting at a high school in the town of Grasse, south-east France, authorities said Thursday.
A 17-year-old armed with a rifle, a handgun, a revolver and two grenades entered the Alexis de Tocqueville school at about lunchtime and opened fire at the headteacher, CNN's French affiliate BFMTV reported.

CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/16/europe/france-high-school-shooting-grasse/

Is this another crime wherein the student was bullied or fellow students or a teacher? similar to other school shooting incidents across the US? I don't know if this is the first time in France. We still don't know the details as of now, but I will assume that the student is being bullied here that's why as a response, he decided to shoot at the school. Or maybe the student was threatened by the teacher to be expelled from the school. The perpetuator could be facing prison time here if convicted for aggravated assault and other charges.

It's very bad news but at least there is no connection with terrorism.
Such tragedies happens often, unfortunately, and it's hard to prevent it.
Parents are so busy with their work and their children are alone, in the streets.
young people play violent games and sometimes they feel that conflicts can be resolved in the same way, with real violence.
Our public schools, social organizations, NGO, governments, should deal with such problems before is to late.
8507  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 16, 2017, 03:03:55 PM
Many people think that big global organizations, like United Nations or World bank are, in fact, world government, because they have power and authority to give directions and orders to national governments.
I don't think so.
In such organization it's very hard to make any important decision because members in their councils trying to protect own national interests, and usually don't care about global issues much.
We can't truly say that they have some global policy, it's more compromise between many different and selfish national interests.
I don't think that we are mature enough to have world government.
We are not ready to give up our national interests and values and replace it with some universal, common valuers and interests.

8508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: March 16, 2017, 02:56:08 PM
I don't think that banks will ever start accepting bitcoins in future as its an threat to them and its an tough competition to the banking system and they might start adopting blockchain technology in future but they will never support bitcoins for sure and when it comes to saving bitcoins then its better to save them in bitcoin wallet instead of saving in banks as you will get better results by selling them when price goes higher in future.

It is true that banks are not yet accepting bitcoin as an investment to them, but there is a bank here in our country(Philippines) which is the Central bank of the Philippines which is accepting bitcoin as a payment on every transactions that are going to be make to them by their clients or customer. Click the link to read the article.
https://bravenewcoin.com/news/the-philippines-central-bank-approves-new-bitcoin-exchange-regulation.

And I know soon, banks will accept bitcoin as an investment.

It's very interesting news.
I know that in my country, Croatia, banks didn't accept bitcoin yet.
So, we can't use bitcoin as investment or for payment.
Some merchants, a few of them, accepts bitcoin for payments but they have to exchange such funds to Croatian currency righrt away.
They can't report income in bitcoins.
So, no way that we can officially use bitcoin for payments, investments or as financial assets.
We still have to keep our bitcoin funds in the wallets.
8509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: March 16, 2017, 02:52:15 PM
Let's face reality here.
Bitcoin is virtual currency and we can't use bitcoin in normal way.
For example, many people in Africa starving, have no food, electricity, Internet etc.
Obviously, they can't use bitcoin.
In some countries, like North Korea, maybe only 10-20 selected elite can use Internet in the whole country.
So, no way that ordinary citizens there can use bitcoin.
Bitcoin have certain value.
If you can't earn bitcoin or don't have enough money, you can't have bitcoin.
Other limitations can be language (no English), have no experience with Internet, etc.
So, obviously, bitcoin is not for everyone.
8510  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate Jew on: March 14, 2017, 07:43:52 PM
There is no rational explanation.
Some believers accuse Jews, because they killed our Savior, Jesus.
Others don't like Jews because they are successful in business.
For Nazi in Germany, they was perfect victims.
Of course, it's not easy to be minority in any country, with different religion, tradition, culture etc.
They had very difficult life in the past because they was different.
Of course, in recent time, Israel became enemy for all Muslim countries in the region.

8511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: March 14, 2017, 07:38:50 PM
Right now, I have following strategy or plan.
Part of bitcoin funds I collecting in my wallet and other part I investing in my online v+businesses.
So, I count on bitcoin price increase but don't like idea to have all eyes in one basket.
So, part of funds I also invest in other project.
So, I have bitcoin mostly for investing really or future earnings.
8512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: March 14, 2017, 07:31:26 PM
I talked with many people about bitcoin.
Some people, usually younger, understood very fast.
Others, without much Internet experience, or elderly, was very skeptic about it, in the beginning.
It's hard for them to understand concept of virtual money.
It's better to start from basic things and don't go to much to the details, otherwise you confuse them.

8513  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people believe in religion? on: March 12, 2017, 04:36:48 PM
I believe in religion because i need a guide in life. And i believe everything was created by an actor, and that actor is god, and god create religion to help ppl find them in eternal life

It's very simple but great answer.
People really need moral compass in life, guidance or purpose.
Without it, we are empty inside, and live chaotic life without direction and purpose.
We don't have only physical body but also spiritual body.
Our physical body need food, water, sleeping, shelter etc.
Our spiritual body needs love.
Eternal, absolute love we can receive only from our creator, God.
8514  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DONALD TRUMP WILL BE AMERICA'S MOST FAMOUS PRESIDENT on: March 12, 2017, 04:31:32 PM
We can give such statement only a few weeks of his presidency.
Trump first have to accomplish something, something concrete and real, either for America or the world.
Only after that, we can review his 4 years terms in the office and decide if he was good or bad president.
Right now, we just have several confusing talks, tweets and decisions.
It's to early to say anything.
My first feeling about Trump, or impression, is negative but I will give him a chance and final judgment I will give after full term, 4 years.

8515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: March 12, 2017, 04:14:36 PM
I don't think so, really.
In fact, I feel that bitcoin is perfect tool for criminals.
They can, for example, buy drugs in the dark web and sell to others without to big risk because they don't need to prove (or show) identity in the bitcoin network.
For police is very difficult to find such criminals.
Recently, I heard such news in our country.
Police explained how criminals used bitcoin and dark web in order to do buy and sell drugs.
Because of such news, connected with bitcoin, some people don't like bitcoin and avoiding us.

8516  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your big brother can watch your every move, CIA vs wikileak on: March 11, 2017, 10:54:40 AM
In short, wikileak mentioned that CIA can look every move if they intend to find your information.
WikiLeaks on Tuesday said it had obtained a secret trove of hacking tools used by the CIA to break into or circumvent the security of phones, communication apps and other devices, and published confidential documents describing those programs.

Among the most noteworthy WikiLeaks claims are that the Central Intelligence Agency, in partnership with other U.S. and foreign agencies, has been able to bypass the encryption on popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal, by hacking phones that use Google Inc’s Android platform to collect audio and message traffic before encryption is applied.

Reuters could not immediately verify the contents of the published documents, but several contractors and private cyber security experts said the materials, dated between 2013 and 2016, appeared to be legitimate.

But relax,

It is illegal for CIA to do those stuff right? and apple company says it fixed the bug.
Anyway, as one who don't do evil stuff will not become a target for CIA.

It very hard to chose between 2 things in our lives, privacy and security.
It seems today, with so much terrorist attacks everywhere, that we need more security and less privacy.
If we wants more privacy it usually means less security because security service can't monitor all communication channels and find potential threats to our society.
Before 2001 we didn't have such dilemma and we was pride about our privacy and freedom.
Unfortunately, now we have to give up from our privacy in order to be safe.
Regarding this news, only important question is not if CIA can watch our every move (I'm sure they can do even more!), through popular messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal etc . but if they had legal permission for such action.

The problem is that in order to get official permission to listen to need to have evidence linking this man to terrorism, and how to do it? Easier to listen to all and choose from all the terrorists. I don't mind.
For the sake of security, you can build your ambitions and share your privacy. But this is only if no one abuses these opportunities and does not violate the right to privacy.

Yes, I agree with you.
Many times in the past, our human rights was abused by authorities, so sometimes is hard to trust government or agencies again.
I think that independent, civil control is essential.
For the sake of our security we may give up freedom but we can't tolerate abuse of such collected info, and their illegal use.
It's sad that we live in such time when terrorist groups wants to destroy our way of life but we have no choice but to fight for what we believe in; freedom and democracy.
8517  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are all american racists? Do they hate all outsiders/immigrants? on: March 11, 2017, 10:42:31 AM
i think you should read the origin of america

we are all immigrant in america..

and american are not racist......imaginate if obama was rusian or french? do you think he could be a President..?

In fact, if you study American history, you will find out that first immigrants came to America in order to find religious freedom and to build ideal society, centered on God.
They really was very idealistic in the beginning and open to receive people from all over the world.
Gradually, such attitude changed and it seems today many Americans don't welcome new immigrants any more, specially if they are Muslims.
Immigrants build America but today, American government is not willing to give chance to new immigrants, what is sad.
I think that average Americans are not racists, but of course that in every country, including America, you can find racists organizations.
You can't judge whole country based on it.

8518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 11, 2017, 10:35:04 AM
I don't think so.
In fact, paypal and bitcoin are in very different position, legally and in the market.
Paypal is very well established company in America, which follow all rules and financial regulations, pay taxes etc.
Bitcoin is decentralized, nobody owns it, no financial regulation etc.
In the market, Many users need bills as proof of payment, or to be exempt from tax.
With bitcoin, they can't get it.
Also, paypal have very good refund policy and buyer and seller protection.
With bitcoin, story is very different, as you know.
So, I think that most users using PayPal and Bitcoin for different reasons.
Because of this, they are not competition to each other.
8519  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: March 11, 2017, 10:26:55 AM
I also think that bitcoin is good investment right now, because more and more peopled using bitcoin, more merchants accepting bitcoin for payments etc.
As result, bitcoin price is rising every day and we are closer to our ultimate goal, to become mainstream.
Still, some things worry me.
It seems that governments, banks and other financial institutions don't like bitcoin.
If they refuse to legalize bitcoin, or regulate bitcoin in some way, it will not help growth of bitcoin.
Other crypto currencies my replace bitcoin in the future.
So, be wise and don't invest everything here.
Remember old ''wisdom'': don't put all eggs in the one basket.
