Question: why do we need dozens and dozens of threads about the same damn subject?
Next time, instead of starting yet another thread about changing the units, just add your comments to the end of one of the other threads.
Maybe we should divide each thread into 1/100 of a thread, so everyone can have their own thread about the BTC unit, while keeping all of them in the same thread.

If everyone wants one of the currency unit then we should move the decimal point the other way and demand will increase by 10x.

Localbitcoins is good. If using coinbase just make a small purchase to make sure everything is verified and ready to go when you need it.

I have a noob question. How do I install offline armoury onto a linux laptop? I bought this to use as an offline wallet: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001IBHVCA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It says it comes with Linux installed (I can't actually tell if it does as I've no idea what Linux looks like, but I'm presuming it does). I'm used to using a Mac and have never used Linux. I don't have a USB stick but I've got an external HD. I downloaded the Armoury client on my macbook and dragged it onto my External HD. I unplugged the external HD and plugged it into the Linux laptop. Nothing happens. There's no 'desktop' on the laptop for files to appear. It doesn't seem to recognise the external HD at all. What do I do? How do I upload and install the armoury files? Thanks! All help much appreciated! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That comes with Xandros Linux, which I've never used. You should be able to compile armory, but it's not going to be easy. It might be easier to install xubuntu instead if that's possible.

I wouldnt say so. More difficult is to mine, the less money a person gets. If one of the person is able to sell less at a perceived moment of time then it will cause shortage of supply, thus driving the price up, and vica versa. Tho I think that the mining difficulty increase is usually delayed, when we relate it to the price fluctuations.
Maybe each person is getting less, but there's more people mining. The supply is always going to be 25 blocks / 10 minutes (even slightly faster because of the difficulty increase lag). (until it's 12.5 of course)

What kind of humidity can you possibly have at -20C?
|
|
|
As the price goes up more people want to mine it, so the difficulty goes up. The difficulty doesn't predict the price, it's the other way around.

On their website it says it draws 1050 Watts which is fine to use on a regular US plug, just don't have anything else on the circuit. But, in general, what a company predict it will draw and what it actually draws might not be the same. That is if it ever ships.

Copy the %Appdata% bitcoin folder from windows to your .bitcoin linux folder.

Actually the mining difficulty dictates pirates. As difficulty goes up, the number of pirates goes down.

It's just not possible. You're just as likely to use --gold and start mining actual gold with it.

It's a scam. If they could make that much money they would just do it themselves and retire.

No, search for the cloudhashing post on here.

Just buy the BTC, you'll never mine as much as you can buy with only 188 GBP

What should I do for refund request of assembly\shipping? Somebody explain me this things please.
I don't think there's been any instructions yet.

They also sell them for more in bitcoins than they will ever return mining.
Yep. If you had a miner that would make 10 BTC wouldn't you sell it for 20 too?
