lol

So it's an indicator as to what will NOT happen Smiley

Pretty much so. You'll make a fortune taking trades opposite to my predictions Cheesy

So you sold everything, right?

Sitting on fiat now.

Do not take my picture seriously. It is just for fun. BTW, I was wrong on every picture I posted so far  Cheesy

the blockchain shows it was deposted into my wallet and then spent

They may have put it (sent it / spend it) into a cold storage address managed by them till the case (if there is any) is resolved. I am sure other forum members will be able to give you a more precise explanation. I am myself a newbie.

Do you know which address it was sent to?

Visual encryption like in "Johnny Mnemonic" would be cool  Grin

Matlab is fine, but I still prefer R.

Besides, R is free, and very heavily supported by a huge and helpful community.

The reason why I posted a link to Matlab webinars is because I got the impression that Whydifficult was more interested in your methodology of devising an algo strategy rather than in the software. Your presentation was short and due to time constraints could not be very detailed. He will find extensions of your ideas in those webinars.

There is no disagreement between you and me on the software. Matlab is way too expensive  Cheesy

This stopped updating https://www.tradingview.com/e/?symbol=MTGOX:BTCUSD#

Can someone let them know they lost connection to MtGox API?

869  Other / Meta / Re: Whom to contact to add / alter article in the WIKI? on: June 10, 2013, 12:32:52 AM
Good question, I tried contacting him earlier this week because I'd like to start translating wiki pages into Dutch, but no response so far. Don't blame him, as I'm sure he is a very busy man, but I'd love to get started on it fairly soon now that I have the time.

I am not blaming him at all. Come on Cheesy

I can imagine he is very busy. I do not want to bother him - that's why I asked if there is someone else (hopefully less busy).

Will there be a dark pool mechanism?
871  Other / Meta / Re: Whom to contact to add / alter article in the WIKI? on: June 09, 2013, 10:52:10 PM
Try to contact MagicalTux, he owns the wiki.

He is a big shot. Is there someone else not so high on the ladder?
872  Other / Meta / Whom to contact to add / alter article in the WIKI? on: June 09, 2013, 10:37:42 PM
As per title.

Thanks

Should break down sooner or later.

874  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BEST charting and technical analysis tool for Bitcoin (so far) launched today on: June 09, 2013, 09:42:32 PM
My mistake, I thought they were both showing small variations in the Mt. Gox price of Bitcoin over time.

How exactly are they "completely different"?

I figured out one big way they were completely different in about 1 second.

This one has like 50 indicators. It's awesome! Thanks!

Yes. It takes only 1 second to figure out both services are different. Note on tradingview, contrary to raze's opinion, there are also non-time based resolutions available.

Any ideas?

We'll know next week. Monday is a good day for news releases.

Maybe an exchange was shut down, maybe SEPA froze operations with European exchanges and money sent by people are in limbo, maybe the Bitcoin Foundation started to talk to regulators. Only the whales know.

Or maybe it is just a normal market thing.

Thank you for this. Do I have to create a login in order to get my plots to render on the screen? I've tried forks and channels so far, the plots display but the lines don't render. I am a big fan of extending channels and forks by adding curves. The tie in with social media and the ability to publish your charts and to draw on a library of other chartists is fantastic!

You do not need to login. I had similar problem with my web browser, the tools were not visible. It sufficed for me to add (in my web browser) this website to a list of website I accept cookies from. And it worked. If it does not work for you, then you might contact the admin of this website or look your problem up in FAQs.

The annoying thing is there are click-like sounds produced from time to time. These are new chat messages alerts. The sounds can be disabled by clicking the speaker icon in the right bottom corner, next to ''general talks''

Awesome talk! I learned a lot, thanks.

You might also like (if you already haven't seen) to see webinars by Matlab guys (you will need to register) http://www.mathworks.com/products/trading/webinars.html?nocookie=true

Start with ''Algorithmic Trading with MATLAB for Financial Applications''. They have a similar approach to Noah's.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal: Fully Decentralised Exchange Mechanism for All Cryptocurrencies & Fiat on: June 08, 2013, 10:02:44 PM
thanks!

yes, Im somewhat familiar with those kind of information services.  I have worked on Wall St. for a period pre-9/11.

There are some very complex problems when considering the issue of time series over a p2p network.  As a matter of fact Bitcoin itself descended from a 'distributed timestamping' algorithm.  So with any market you need to find a way to have all nodes agree that transactions appear in a specific ORDER.  This is required for simple account transfers, or more complex arrangements such as an order book.  My system solves this problem WITHOUT mining.

when the system gets to the point where it's usable, I'll announce on here and perhaps we can talk about supporting higher level use cases.

FANTASTIC  Smiley
