Usually, when cryto market is bullish it's a good time to invest in altcoins. When market is bearish, staying in Btc could be a better option, as it doesn't lose its value that much.
If you decided to invest in an altcoin, always do a lot of research before and never invest more than you can afford to lose. Personally, I recommend investing in non-ICO based project in order to avoid the risk of losing your money as many ICOs just vanish after reaching the soft/hard cap.

I think the best investment strategy is to find new projects with high potential not being pumped already. Always check the team's experience, other websites references to it, social media activity, Whitepaper etc.
If you want to avoid the risk that after an ICO the project just vanishes, try to focus on non-ICO projects. (you can find a great non-ICO based project, Staker, in my signature if you're interested).

Cryto goes down due to a lot of reasons, but mainly due to:
- whales manipulations;
- media news;
- political interests of some countries;
- overall loss of interest for cryto compared with last year.

You can start trading with 10$ or 10k $, you need to start with an amount that you can afford to risk/lose.
Nobody knows what 100$ means for you, if it's nothing or if it's a lot. If you don't mind to lose them then start trading them, buf do a lot of research before as trading is very risky.

Yes, and this is why cryto market is very volatile. Volatility in the cryptocurrency markets comes down to size. Small market = high volatility. That's why the alt coins are more volatile then Bitcoin - they are smaller therefore it doesn't take as much money to move their prices up or down. Very basic concept. People say that Bitcoin will never be stable because it is volatile, this actually saying is that Bitcoin will never be big because it is small. Which doesn't make any sense. Humans have evolved to hate change, it's nothing new that people dont like an internet currency, but the truth is, the world is becoming digital, and currency needs to make that transition, it is happening and it will be succesful. There are too many Intelligent investors for it not to happen. Sure people are abusing the market now, but wait until it gets regulated, that's is when the big boys are coming in.
The real issue is, everyone buys bitcoin hoping to make money, the smart money will go into the Altcoins with real value. Stay away from bitcoin, it is obsolete and will die sooner or later. Dont stick with it because you hate change.

Crypto is an enabler..especially in international payments..
Earlier we used paypal for accepting payments from foreign clients.and as everybody knows Paypal is a big parasite used to eat 9% in fees and currency conversion and after that days and days of waiting to get it in bank.
With crypto in half an hour the payment from client is in localbitcoins account and if buyer has localbitcoins accounts then instantly and after that within a minutes in bank account.
And nobody can dare to freeze my accounts.nobody will judge if my payment is a risky one or whatever paypal used to call it.

Many ICOs seem good to follow, but when they reach the soft/hard cap projects just vanish.

Bitcoin mining price is close to market's value, so it is no longer profitable in many countries already.
However, if you have free energy or very cheap energy, then mining still could be an option. Otherwise, trading or hodl are better.

BTC is far from the end, but most people who bought BTC don't even know what it is used for. They thought it was a get-rich-quick scheme and jumped into the bandwagon without knowing shit.
What results is too much supply and low demand, and now the ratio is slowly scaling down until demand increases and supply goes back down from people who have no idea what BTC, or rather cryptocurrency really is.

It is better to react to the market than predict where it will go, because no one knows where bitcoin or any other altcoin will be 1 week from now. Signs of bullish/bearish divergence can happen within a single day and can quickly turn a market from bull to bear and vice versa. It was also fun watch a vast majority of people in the trading community predict that bitcoin will go up, only to see it crash then watch the awkward radio silence. Nobody can predict the price of bitcoin. Better to be a reactive trader (scalper) than an investor. This rule does not apply if you have insider trading knowledge.

Best recommendation to survive in a red market is to stop panic and be patient.
Psychologically, the best strategy is not to maximize your wins, but minimize your losses. Treat trading like a business. A business always seeks to minimize losses and liabilities first, before going into maximizing profits. That doesn't mean don't take risks! but make sure the rewards are huge relative to the risk you are taking.

If altcoin price dumps, then wait for Bitcoin's price to recover and altcoins will follow the trend.
All Cryptocurrencies are influenced by bitcoin's up and down price. IF bitcoin tanks, cryptos will TANK. if bitcoin goes up, after a few hours cryptos will follow. I don't care HOW GREAT your coin is, bitcoin will influence its price. There are some coins that appear to move independently from bitcoin, but depending on how HARD the price DROPS or RISES, these coins WILL be drastically affected. Don't believe me? go put alerts on the 15 min rsi overbought/oversold region of bitcoin and other alt coins. Most of the time the alerts will ring for all of them 1 minute apart from each other.

Personally, I think and hope also that in the future banks will be history.
However, I don't understand the love/hate relationship with crypto on here. So much of the world is under banked and crypto provides another option for conducting transactions fast and cheap. Many companies are starting to use blockchain in their business and you may be using it already and not even know. The tech is there and it will grow further.
If network lightning will go live, this will be a huge step into a huge cryto adoption as payment method.
