Ostatni tydzień niestety nie był najlepszy dla naszego lokalnego boardu....

jedynie 3 merity zostały rozdane więc tym razem nie będę aktualizował wszystkich statystyk wykresów ograniczę się tylko do listy użytkowników, którzy przekazali merity dla społeczności:

niestety nasz lokalny moderator nie odwiedzał forum w zeszłym tygodniu ;-( może kiedy tu wpadnie coś wrzuci do puli ;-)

Wpadłem tu po kilku dniach i jestem pod wrażeniem - Janusz Szacun! Rozbujałeś swój wątek! Niestety ogłoszony przeze mnie dwa dni wcześniej konkurs nie cieszy się aż takim powodzeniem (zaledwie 1/3 twoich wyświetleń że o braku aktywności nie wspomnę  ) więc chylę czoła!
Póki co jeszcze nie pokuszę się o wytypowanie ceny bitcoina na koniec roku aktualnie obserwuję spadki i ciągle zastanawiam się gdzie jest dno... Co do jednego nie mam wątpliwości bitcoin się odbije... tylko z jakiego poziomu???

BTW Tom Lee obniżył swoją predykcję na koniec roku lecz nadal utrzymuje ją na wysokim poziomie - $15.000 za BTC więc może jeszcze jest szansa na 300% zysku w miesiąc....


Przy okazji załatwię małą prywatę ;-) przypominam, że na moim konkursowym wątku można zgłaszać dowolne posty napisane na polskim forum - więc również z tego wątku

Maybe Photoshop makses it a bit more simple but i  don't find this free solution complicated at all...

Pomysł na ten krótki poradnik przyszedł mi do głowy widząc jak wielu użytkowników wybrało na swoje avatary czapki (szczególnie w wątku “Wall Observer”). Ich czapki są fajne ale według mnie wyglądają najlepiej kiedy kolor tła avatara jest taki sam jak kolor tła posta, kiedy są wyświetlane na innym tle wciąż wyglądają nie najgorzej ale jednak gorzej... ;-)


To tylko moje zdanie ale jeśli wam też bardziej się podoba druga wersja możecie zmienić swojego avatara w mniej niż minutę... Pewnie wielu z was wie że można to zrobić w bardzo prosty sposób, ale dla tych którzy nie są najlepsi w programach graficznych stworzyłem ten krótki tutorial.

Pierwszy krok: Otwórz plik z awatarem w programie GIMP

Drugi krok: Idź do zakładki Warstwy - Pędzle (Layers – Brushes) i kliknij prawy przycisk myszy na napisie „Background” lub nazwie pliku albo na miniaturce obrazu znajdującej się obok i wybierz "Dodaj kanał alfa" („Add Alpha Channel”) tak jak na zdjęciu poniżej (jeżeli ta opcja jest nieaktywna to oznacza, że kanał alfa został już wcześniej dodany więc można od razu przejść do kroku trzeciego):


Trzeci krok: Idź do zakładki Przybornik (Toolbox) i wybierz narzędzie różdżka („Fuzzy Select Tool”) a następnie kliknij lewy przycisk myszy na otworzonym obrazie swojego avatara w dowolnym miejscu, gdzie znajduje się tło, które chcemy usunąć (wtedy u mnie czapka a u ciebie dowolny inny obraz zostanie otoczony przerywaną linią tak jak na zdjęciu:


Czwarty krok :  Teraz wystarczy wcisnąć na klawiaturze klawisz delete i od razu przejść do kroku piątego (dzięki @poptok1 za tą ułatwienie tego jeszcze bardziej), chyba że wolisz usunąć tło ręcznie - wtedy Idź do Przybornika i wybierz Gumkę („Eraser Tool”) i następnie zetrzyj całe niepotrzebne tło otaczające twojego avatara jak na zdjęciu:


Piąty krok: Teraz już jedyne co musisz zrobić to zapisać plik ze swoim nowym avatarem: Idź do menu Plik (File) → Wyeksportuj jako (Export As) następnie "Wybór typu pliku" gdzie należy zaznaczyć "Obraz PNG" („PNG image”) i wciśnij przycisk "Wyeksportuj". Wtedy zobaczysz kolejne okno - tutaj musisz się upewnić, że checkbox przy "Zapisanie wartości kolorów dla przezroczystych pixeli" („Save color values from transparent pixels”) jest zaznaczony, jeżeli tak naciśnij przycisk "Wyeksportuj" („Export”).


TO TYLE!

Jeżeli nie zobaczysz zmian od razu po wgraniu nowego avatara możesz spróbować wyczyścić chache przeglądarki. Czasami, szczególnie jeżeli poprzedni avatar był też plikiem *.png zmiana będzie widoczna dopiero po kilku godzinach...

MAN i don't want to show you a better hat! - just a short way to erase the background what make homer's hats look even better!

I see that many of ranked member use custom hats as their avatars especially seen on “Wall Observer” thread. They look quite nice if background of the post has the same color as the background of avatar. While they are displayed on other color hats look… still not bad but... a little bit worse ;-)


Of course it’s only my opinion but if you also like more the second one you can change your avatar in less than one minute… Probably many of you know that it could be done very easily but for those who don’t I made this short tutorial:
I used free GIMP software to prepare it which you can find here: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

First step: Open your avatar image in gimp software

Second step: Go to the Layers – Brushes tab and click right mouse button on the image name or image miniature and select „Add Alpha Channel” just like on the image below (If this option is not active - it means that Alpha Channel is already added so you can go to the third step):


Third step: Go to the Toolbox tab select „Fuzzy Select Tool” and click left mouse button on the image – on the background you will see that your hat (or other avatar) has been selected like on the image:


Fourth step:  Now you can just press delete on the keyboard (@Foxpup thanks for making it even easier) and go to fifth step, or you can delete background manually by selecting „Eraser Tool” from the Toolbox and than with eraser clean whole background around the hat (or other avatar) like on the image:


Fifth step: Now all you have to do is to save this image to the file: Go to File menu → Export As than choose from Select File Type „PNG image” and press „Export” button. Than you’ll see another window you have to be sure that checkbox near „Save color values from transparent pixels” is checked if so press „Export”  button.


THAT’S IT!

If you don't see the change after uploading new avatar you can clear your cache. Sometimes it takes few hour to see the change especially if your previous avatar was also *.png file...

We have thousands of posts every day and only a few admins who simply are not able to check every post not talking about pm's...


I think you should remember what is the main purpose of this site - it is a discussion forum! Not a specialized platform developed for conducting secure transactions or bounty campaigns. The bounties threads on altcoins board are not bitcointalk’s bounty campaigns it’s just user’s posts. I agree that it would be good idea if bounty threads could be published only by trusted bounty managers it could prevent many users from dishonest people but it won’t be easay and it’s not a priority of administrators.
Everybody knows bitcointalk accounts can be bought (this is not yet forbidden although I think it should be) so you shouldn't base your trust in other user only on his rank.
But you can always spend some time to make some research and check if this "Legendary" user has positive trust,  feedback from other users etc... It could reduce the risk but you must always stay alert..

Wprawdzie Analizę Techniczną rzuciłem 10-15 lat temu (o ile można rzucić coś czego poznało się głównie podstawy), kiedy drugi raz umoczyłem na giełdzie, co dodatkowo wyleczyło mnie z giełdy... więc do konkursu w tym zakresie nie przystąpię...
Ale umarłem ze śmiechu widząc dinozaura więc merit dla Ciebie...

One important thing: I understand that this dataset was prepared and shared for statistical and research purposes, this case you should consider deleting some personal data that are not necessary for these purposes such as e-mail addresses, messengers or wallets. Although they are publicly available they can be also used in an undesirable manner, so maybe better not give away full sets of them...

Idąc za przykładem części użytkowników naszej lokalnej społeczności – m.in. @BitCryptexa, @wwzsockiego i innych postanowiłem również przyłączyć się do akcji aktywizującej rodaków na naszej polskiej części tego forum.

Jak na pewno zauważyliście mamy tu stosunkowo niewiele (nie bójmy się tego powiedzieć – MAŁO) osób, które włączają się do dyskusji w poszczególnych wątkach. Efektem tego jest też bardzo niewiele nowych wątków w których można przeczytać coś ciekawego czy porozmawiać nawet o pierdołach. Coś na zasadzie samo nakręcającej się spirali – mało ludzi -> mało ciekawej treści -> jeszcze mniej ludzi…
Przyczyn tego niewątpliwie może być wiele – pewnie wielu z Was się po prostu „nie chce”, inni z założenia wpadają tu tylko coś przeczytać nawet nie zakładając konta a jeszcze wstydzą się lub uważają że nie mają nic ciekawego do powiedzenia… Rozumiem to doskonale, bo działałem podobnie przez długi czas. Mnie zmobilizowała dopiero zmiana zasad forum, która wprowadziła konieczność zdobycia 1 punktu zasług czyli słynnego MERITA do otrzymania rangi Jr. Member niezbędnej do umieszczania zdjęcia w swoich postach (oczywiście alternatywą było wykupienia członkostwa typu Copper ale postanowiłem udowodnić sobie samemu że dam radę…

To tyle tytułem przydługiego (jak zwykle u mnie) wstępu – przechodzimy do konkretów więc zasad jakie będą obowiązywały w tym konkursie:

1. Pula nagród – nie mniej niż 10 meritów (jeżeli sam w międzyczasie uzbieram dodatkowe możliwe że zostanie ona powiększona ale na pewno nie będzie ich mniej!)  

2. Uczestnicy – jako że  celem jak wspomniałem jest „aktywizacja” aktualnie planuje skoncentrować się na nowych użytkownikach/użytkownikach o niskich rangach – Newbie, Jr. Member (dokładnie 57 dni temu też byłem Newbie bez 1 Merita więc wiem jak się czujecie) (jeżeli okaże się, tacy użytkownicy nie wezmą udziału, lub nie spełnią wymagań nie wykluczam później włączenia także wyższych rang)

3. Wymagania – do konkursu można zgłaszać następujące posty:
- napisane na naszym lokalnym forum od chwili opublikowania tego wątku (starsze posty nie biorą udziału),
- każdy uczestnik musi zgłosić co najmniej 3 posty,
- posty muszą zawierać co najmniej kilka zdań (nie wymagam długich elaboratów, ale z automatu odrzucam posty składające się z jednego zdania),
- czas trwania konkursu przewiduję na kilka tygodni choć może on się okazać płynny – jeśli otrzymam wiele zgłoszeń (na co szczerze liczę!) możliwe że zostanie zakończony po tygodniu lub dwóch, jeśli natomiast chętnych będzie niewielu lub ich propozycje nie spełnią poniższych zasad może potrwać do odwołania,
- dbajmy o poprawną polszczyznę – ortografię, gramatykę i interpunkcję,
- tematyka dowolna może to być śmieszna/smutna historia związana z twoją przygodą z krypto, poradnik jak zainstalować/skonfigurować koparkę, ciekawy głos w dyskusji, rozpoczęcie wątku, który pobudzi innych do dyskusji… jednym słowem cokolwiek co będzie w jakimś stopniu związane z tym forum lub krypto – rozpuście wodze fantazji – wszystko jedno czy będzie wesoło czy mądrze czy profesjonalnie czy użytecznie byle było z sensem!

Zgłoszenie - linki do postów proszę przesyłać w tym temacie.

Decyzja o dokładnym podziale nagród zostanie podjęta później - może będzie to 10 postów po 1 mericie każdy a może jedno 1 miejsce - 3 merity, dwa 2 miejsca po 2 merity i trzy 3 miejsca po 1 mericie... zobaczymy czy temat w ogóle chwyci...

The main difference is the account trading is still legal (in accordance with the rules) as opposed to ID trading.


I wouldn't buy an account for myself, as I wrote "I think it is unfair, everyone should work out his own brand, and this practice should be banned. Nevertheless, trading accounts is a fact even if we do not like it ...". But until there are buyers and sellers and people are trading them each account has also a rational value expressed in money.


As you can see at the table I've attached I've done some research. You've absolutly right there were account with red trust really bad feedback as well as accounts with green feedback and great opinions. That's why I've estimated an average value of each rank for example as you can see at the table offer price of Legendary differs from $150 to $3.000 and taking an average value from 16 different offers I assumed that $460 could be good for this consideration. I you would need a really advanced economic model that will take into account all aspects, analyze individual accounts and calculate more accurately the price, which will probably be average anyway

Once again please don't take my consideration too seriuos... it is very simplified and does not take into account a number of aspects (as some of you mentioned: price fluctuations, flooding the market with accounts, possible drop of crypto and ICO market situation - which will also affect the value of the account, etc.).

Firstly I planed to diverse it, but  unfortunetly this database doesn't contain data about bans (honestly I tried to find such data somwhere else but didn't manage to do it), so as I wrote in my post "abandoned" means inactive for any reason (bans, hacked, lost password, true abandon etc.).

I like the assumption of your ranking I think it shows the worth of poster in much more fair way than the sum of merits alone. What is very important it is partially immune to cheaters - Merit buyers/sellers who are promoted, e.g. to Full Member on two posts like these below:

Of course... but the same would happen to lost bitcoins if someone found the way to get them back ;-)

And probably it would affect most lower ranked: Members and Full Members, 3 top ranks wouldn't hurt so much...

I’m sure that everyone of you have read that 3 – 4 millions of bitcoins lost in the blockchain (in case of loosing passwords, loosing harddrives/pendrives, hardware destruction etc.).

Yesterday, thanks to Piggy and his last thread - Open scraped data of all the users - SQL Lite DB - 2.437.064 users I downloaded userdatabase he prepared and did some of my own research. I was checking many parameters but when I was looking at last activity parameter of ranked users I found many of them are not active for years and then I’ve started to think about these abondon accounts like the digital assets lost in bitcointalk.org abyss (just like those bitcoins in its blockchain).

Of course there are some important differences, not all of them are really lost for good, some of them were banned by admins and what is most important there’s always a guy (admin) who has a key to unlock them even if he almost never do it. But let’s leave this small detail and think about them like they are really lost.

Ok they are lost, but can we tread them like a real digital assets? Of course we can. Especially thanks to the signature campaigns high ranked accounts have real worth. All of us know that today’s signature campaigns profitable like year or two ago but there is still possibility to earn some money with high good ranked account (in best case even a few hundreds bucks/month from only one account). There are probably many others way to monetize bitcointalk account but what is their real worth?

Account trading isn’t against this forum rules so many users trades them “legally” both on this forum and other social media. I did some research to know the real value of each account. It was not easy task: although there are plenty of advertisements but the prices offered are very diverse. I’ve checked 40 threads from last 3 week and based on these result estimated average value of each rank (due to great fluctuations, I rejected the highest and lowest offers I found).


Ok, we have average prices of each account so how many of them “lost in the bitcointalk.org abyss”? To make this task easier I accepted the assumption that account which wasn’t active this year at all were abandoned for good. Table below shows number of accounts abonded in years 2011-2017.



What we could expect the level of “abandonment” decreases with the rise of the rank, but what is interesting with accounts ranked from Member to Hero Member is quite similar (30% - 22%), only Legendary accounts seems to be much less often left (less than 10%).

Now the easiest part – lets check how much money circulates in the depths of our forum:


Honestly I am very surprised with this results. I suspected that many accounts have been lost/banned/abandon but never thought that they could make so much value together. It made me aware how valuable can be this forum. For the first time I looked at bitcointalk.org not only as a treasury of knowledge and a place of spending free time (and sometimes making a few bucks) but as a really huge business.

One important thing: I do not support account trading, I think it is unfair, everyone should work out his own brand, and this practice should be banned. Nevertheless, trading accounts is a fact even if we do not like it ...
