So Vod, did CVS respond? Could this be why QS went missing? If you're willing to talk about this ofc.

its like saying someone who witnesses a rape and does nothing is innocent
Technically, someone who witnesses a rape and does nothing IS innocent. You can't force morality on people. You can't make people believe what you believe. Some people on this planet only look out for themselves. Witnessing a crime and not reporting is a in fact crime in most of Europe. I can't speak of the USA as I'm not even sure what the equivalent term in English since I'm a non-native speaker.

What I find most ironic about this is that someone must've went out of his way to program the forum detecting and instantly banning users for posting what's essentially a link. There must be no other case that this is happening. I've seen this forum being flocked by xrumer bots trying to promote stuff completely not related to bitcoin, such posts wouldn't get removed until a mod saw them. Yet you make such a huge exception only for what's the alleged dox of a bitcointalk staffer because it's spam.
And please don't get me wrong. I like this forum and admire theymos, I'm not willing to attack anyone here. But a forum mod supporting doxing directly contradicts what this forum is doing with this certain link. You might as well accept that SaltySpitoon and stop trying to dodge this argument.

I case you don't know what this is all about, here's an article. Note: I'm not related to the dailyhashrate. Even though the website focuses on satire their piece on the story provides a great summary.
Long story short, a group people abused a woman (that claims she had mental issues) to make money. As she claims in the video confession, she was used to project a business other people were running, and was then left alone and homeless.

Vod gave the same rating to every user selling microsoft product keys. This is not necessarily a crime and you can't be 100% certain that those keys will stop working prior to their expiration date. Users selling them weren't necessarily scammers but they were in violation of Microsoft's terms so Vod thought it would be appropriate to leave a negative rating.

I have created a poll on the matter.

What is doxing? [Doxing] is the Internet-based practice of researching and broadcasting personally identifiable information about an individual. From Wikipedia. Post in the meta board for more high level discussion.

I'd love to pick a key up. Cheers

BadBear has yet to address why wardrick is still in his trust list. He'd be among the first to know if an account was hacked wouldn't he?

Quickseller isn't active for about two days and look how quite the forum is. OP should pledge to lock this topic if qs doesn't appear for a week just for the sake of quietness.

I see come contradictions in what SaltySpitoon posted. 1. Dox stay up because it is typically meta data. If information about you can be found on social media/google, whatever, its not private. 2. If someone has to steal your medical records from a hospital in order to release it, then that is not allowed, nor is posting someone else's social security number. What I gather from this is that information that could somehow be publicly available, are allowed to be posted here. But in quote #2 it's stated that non-public information are not allowed. But what falls under your definition of non-public information? What if the doxed person claims none of the information released were publicly available? I also didn't see the issue about false information being released. (Guess that would fall under the up for individuals to determine what is baseless logic?)

No problem, your calculations seem fine. It was just a suggestion, nothing too serious. I just think it'd be good linking to the last counted post in general.

For a few bitcents I would really question if it is worth it. What percentage of the inputs total are these bitcents? If most of the value is going in fees you are basically just donating your time and effort to miners.
Welp, it really wasn't worth to even try transferring those coins manually. The few that knew how to handle this in a more knowledgeable manner might have received decent sums of coins but this 'giveaway' was definitely not easily accessible or worth it.

People complain about censorship but seriously the worst that could happen in this very forum if you were to post a pro-XT post is that it would be moved to the altcoin board. Theymos is maintaining what's still the biggest forum about bitcoin discussion. I think that freedom of speech is praised here, to a point that we occasional see some downsides. Despite the fact that the administration does not support XT, discussion or support about it aren't censored. Moving topics to another board doesn't account as censorship as it doesn't prevent future discussions or erase past ones.
And aside of all that, it's been repeatedly stated that if certain bitcoiners don't like what theymos is doing, they're free to create other forums. We're already seeing that in Reddit. Sadly though, doe to the centralized nature of Reddit, housing all communities under the same website , we see a lot of conflicts. Users from one community witch hunting the others etc.

IMO there's no denying that XT supporters are flocking /r/bitcoin to push their agenda. I've actually seen people in the comments suggesting that doing it is reasonable but can't find a link atm.

Censorship and Reddit are two things that go together, unfortunately. Even the users of /r/bitcoinxt are engaging on censoring the subreddit by donvoting everything on /r/bitcoin they don't agree with.

Hey there. I'm a little confused with which one of my posts was the last counted. Don't you think it'd be a good idea to link to the last post counted for each participant?

Ok to address Blazr's points, 8chan was de-listed, without receiving a notification from google as to why. Saying that the same could happen might be a stretch but I wouldn't consider it impossible. The actual answer is... Sure, but the FAQ I linked to actually mentions that google delists websites for alleged defamation, hate speech, impersonation as well. All of those could be part of doxing, the fact that it's user submitted content doesn't change much from their perspective. The right to be forgotten is a completely different procedure, supported by the EU. Where google removes search results from showing up per request if and only if the party making the request can submit the necessary evidence, which is not an anonymous precedure.

I never quite understood this. Several posts with DOXing stay up and are never removed. Isn't it hard for mods to see when a user is trying to damage someone's reputation with baseless accusations and when it's actually information to built up a scam accusation case? But even if it's the later, why should a forum indexed by search engines and well ranked in terms of SEO allow that? Is bitcointalk.org encouraging mob justice? Is the forum Satoshi created for discussion about bitcoin to take place in endorsing taking conflicts about an e-currency into real life, perhaps even with violence and life ruining tactics (that could even target the false person)? I'm sure you realize allowing such a thing can be abused by people with very, very bad intentions. This forum should have a zero tolerance policy against this. Besides, it's even against google's policy to allow such a thing. 8chan was briefly de-listed from google for not following it. If Theymos cares about ad revenue and the future of this forum he should really consider this.
