Have updated my posts with sold coins.

I have been seeing a flat rate of $20 per coin being thrown around. I am currently buying and selling at $20 plus shipping.

If you make it a funded coin, you will also have to be careful about money transfer laws in the US
That's not the only problem.
Given the fact that the seller is new/has no reputation at all, I would have a hard time trusting them with private keys,
you might find it harder to get all you coins sold if you opt for the pre-funded version (depending on how big the face value of the coin is however).
So then DIY coin will be a very nice choice for the first time seller. Or maybe small denomination coins like 0.01BTC Loaded.
We have been around for years on here with multiple deals done ( from digital items to miners ) although most people have never left us feedback , so we would hope there aren't any trust issues either way we can always set up an escrow  Smiley

I think Lutpin means that how do we know you will not save the private keys to redeem later, like the coinographic incident recently. Many people have started to notice their LTC coins have been emptied.

That's what he means by your reputation.

Go with silver. It'll be a lot easier to sell. Once you make a name for yourself maybe try getting preorders for gold. If you make it a funded coin, you will also have to be careful about money transfer laws in the US
865  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread june 20 to july 4 -picks are yet to open!.... prize = $50 usd on: June 24, 2016, 04:00:43 AM
For me, BTC is going to have to fall much further before I'll convert actual dollars into BTC. Two months ago, if somebody had offered to sell me a BTC for $560 I would have laughed. I am hard pressed to see what is fundamentally different in terms of conditions that affect BTC price. Although I do have to admit that I have no idea what influences the price of BTC. I expect it's more likely geopolitical events that I have little insight into. All this mining and hardware stuff is interesting, but a cogent understanding of how BTC price actually is determined, and a way to accurately predict it, would be worth way more than a BitFury mining container.
I think the primary driving force behind bitcoin price is speculation - speculation that, at some point in the future, BTC will be worth significantly more than they were yesterday.  I'm sure there is a myriad of factors that come into play, but I'd put my money on speculation having the largest slice of that pie chart.
Well Brexit passed, so we should see the effects coming soon. People jumping ship to find other investments as the pound starts losing power. Already changed 4 cents to the usd while I was watching today.

I'm in.

great, I hope you will enjoy this piece of history

Do you plan to at least respond to requests for escrow given you have no known reputation on this forum?

If you do have trades you've done please link us to the proof so we can verify. Thanks.

I've been in contact with several people regarding the group buys and escrow

This presently presents logistical problems as this particular forum's version of trust wasn't considered by my team (but still wouldn't change the logistical problem even if we had considered it, the distribution model would have been concluded unviable and we wouldn't have pursued the project!). So it depends on the size of the buys and the need for it, as the books are selling as is using the way we intended for them to be sold.

This may be something we consider down the line (in coordination with our publisher's warehousing, printing and shipping cost demands) if it is a substantial number of copies - shipping many copies to one person instead of many copies to many people.

People interested in the book should buy it through the website. People that want to buy the book in different quantities need to contact me via PM or email.

Is it possible that you can post a plain picture of the finished book - just to see that the cake real?

https://mopies.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/portal-cake.jpg
The cake is a lie.

But hopefully we'll see another cool book in the community with this project.

I would really love a Kialara, is there a site i can check the going rates on those?
What would you say is the cheapest i could pick one up for?
$179 for the artist ones.

Link to kialara site: http://www.maxfield.me/blog/

I don't know if you still can get the 2015's for $99, but you might have to message kialara for those details.

2014's will run you a decent amount I think. Last guy I saw trying to sell was asking like 0.4BTC
872  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: June 17, 2016, 12:45:40 AM
Considering each BTC costs so much these days, do the donator requirements (green for 10BTC, purple for 50BTC) still hold?

yes.

agree it maybe if the donation only 0.1btc i will do it

you can donate 0.1BTC if you want. the 10/50 are just for getting donator/vip status.
It is funny that a year ago it would have cost like $3k or $15k, now it is $8k and $40k Cheesy

874  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC 1BTC Titanium Coin Redeeming and Info on: June 16, 2016, 08:13:23 PM
So importing the private key will work on the Blockchain Legacy wallet but not on the new beta wallet?

Correct.  At least not at this point.

I emailed them, and from what I understand, so has BTCC.

Keep in mind that this isn't an issue with BTCC coins only as the same format is used in Casascius coins.
I might be peeling a Casascius soon. This probably would have stumped me, so cheers for the info Michail1.  Smiley
Why in gods name would you peel a Casascius? or is it that 25 coin.
