861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [INFO] Synereo - The Decentralized and Distributed Social Network on: September 19, 2016, 04:15:05 AM
I think if Synereo raises proper funding this round in 12 months I do not think another project will be ahead in the smart contract dApps industry.

They're capping the limit on the crowdsale this time to $8M USD.  As of a few days ago, they had already raised over $1M USD, and the crowdsale hasn't even started yet.  Imo, they'll get their full funding amount before the crowdsale ends in thirty days.

much better to hold some more in case the price rally up after chinese supporters showed up i think after xmr and sdc amp will be ripe and start the pump, i will keep it inside polo so i can make the trade when the perfect timing comes.

china is tricky
i would not hold my breath on that - the investors there are not investing in future tech
they are more gambling than investing - so big pumps and dumps are their game
+ you need some chinese pages up (8btc + cybtc) and such to get the word out 1st !
(sdc = come on = why would china care)

so no wallet available ?

Use omniwallet -> omnilayer.org

ok
but then .... i have to create an AMP Wallet or ... ?!?!
(sorry - do not understand - is there a guide ??)

AMPs are currently an Omni asset.  Omni is a protocol layer on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.  All Omni assets are stored at Bitcoin addresses.  If you control the Bitcoin address, you control the Omni assets associated with that Bitcoin address.

But I don't think Dan and Company are evil, Stan is a fanatical Christian...
Can these guys really be this lame? Have they not thought this through? Are there no surprises in store?

Satan is a fanatical Christian

Quote
the Antichrist or false Messiah is generally regarded as a figure of evil that will falsely claim to be the Christ (Messiah).

872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is the Synereo AMP stampable? on: September 15, 2016, 04:27:02 AM
Some people have questioned the universal truth that "You Can't Stamp the AMP".  These blasphemers actually believe that the AMP is capable of being stamped.  Some think centralized corporations can stamp the AMP.  Others think totalitarian governments can stamp the AMP.  There are even some sellers who believe they can personally stamp the AMP.  These fools think they can take down this decentralized free speech and user controlled movement.  The Synereo AMP has many heads and appendages which cannot be gagged or bound.  They can try to stifle us and take down some nodes, but they can't stamp us out.  We are quickly becoming many, and the many are powerful.  They will soon come to know the universal truth that...

Synereo is Coming to China

Synereo’s upcoming alpha release and fundraising campaign, the announcement of Synereo’s 2.0 tech-stack, and above all – the promise of a decentralized social network, which cannot be taken down or censored – have raised great interest in the PRC, especially among the vibrant crypto community there.

To handle the growing interest, we have partnered with 8btc.com, China’s leading crypto news and information site, and YUNBI, one of China’s leading crypto exchanges. Two new Chinese Amplifiers have joined the effort in the past 3 weeks as well, and are engaging closely with people on the various Chinese forums and chat channels.

YUNBI is one out of three official channels through which it will be possible to purchase AMPs at a fixed price during our upcoming fundraising campaign. Following the sale, YUNBI will list AMPs for standard trade on their exchange.

Our partnership with 8btc.com, China’s leading crypto news and information site, is very exciting given the enormous amount of traffic channeled through it, and its prominence in the Chinese crypto community.

Synereo has a BIG future in China.  Nobody can stamp the amp, not even the Chicoms.

After the bnktothefuture crawdsale finishes, will the AMP token sales on your website still be opened? If yes, can you please tell me how is the price of those tokens determined?

No, it will not. We only allowed this in anticipation of the funding campaign.

AMP CLASSIC is on the way. lolo

I am hoping for an AMP classic. I would support removing all Founder coins and private sale investor coins.

The minute you launch "AMP classic", I'm launching "AMP classic 2.0" and taking all your coins and anyone else's I please.  Communism is great isn't it?

You can see the live demo now. Afterwards they are walking people to help stand up nodes.

Looks really nice for an Alpha! Pretty remarkable day for crypto. The first look at the worlds first fully decentralised network. Can't stamp the AMP. (Think I am borrowing this)

RChain is going to launch with AMP as the native token, and then developed further to allow validators (block verifiers, extending the Blockchain) to choose to stake and accept fees in other currencies. Note that it is not yet certain that creating a Blockchain capable of accepting multiple currencies is possible.

We have absolutely no reason to "kill" the market price. AMPs are what allow both us and our supporters to be aligned on the goals of this project. No one has an incentive to "dump".
We've been trying to be very transparent and clear about our plans regarding to future release of AMPs and how this will only be done to create more value for everyone involved.

Greg stated at the Vancouver conference that "smart money", as he termed it, was buying AMPs, and that they've been getting several offers of investment in the seven and eight figure ranges.  Imo, the price on Poloniex is a steal, and the sellers are very foolish.  Synereo is posed to be bigger than Ethereum imo with widespread appeal to a much vaster audience.  Anyone who has reservations about AMPs should consider that the founders and the project have the most to lose from a declining price.  Nobody is interested in hurting Synereo's development.  The second crowdsale was partially necessary, because none of the original crowdsale participants (aka "smart money") were selling.  I think this crowdsale will sell out of AMPs early, and imo, once it is over, AMPs will take off.

You know what I'm going to say...

YOU CAN'T STAMP THE AMP!

Very well put, loving this thought!
Let's hope it happens sooner rather than later.

It's coming.

Ping ya back in 1 year and we can check out the price of AMPs together.

Thanks for your constructive input.

Max amount of AMPs in the foreseeable future is 62.5M + 44M = 106.5M.

Source? If you can actually back that up with a legitimate source confirming that there are no plans to distribute the rest of the AMPs in the future, then it would actually address the concerns of many potential investors.

Let me save you some time. You can't back it up because the AMPs wouldn't have been created if there wasn't plans to distribute them in the future. I'm not psychic but I can foresee the effect that will have on the price.

The last I heard, the next crowdsale is 1.5 years after this one is finished.  The first crowdsale had ~400M AMPs for sale.  This crowdsale only has a MAX of 44M AMPs for sale.  I doubt any future crowdsale will have more than 44M AMPs for sale, imo most likely less, and they're all going to be spaced at least 1.5 years apart from one another.  Founders AMPs are locked up, and I seriously doubt they sell any significant portion any time soon.  The rest of the AMPs are allocated to bounties, content creators, and user signups.  None of these are going to result in a large dillution or any one person holding a large sum of AMPs.  The crowdsales are going to be the major source of new AMPs coming to market, and as seen from the announcement, not many are up for grabs.  The crowdsale AMPs are the funding source of Synereo, and they're not going to burn through them.  The plan for Synereo is a long term one.  Listen to the hangout sessions.  In the last hangout session, Greg is talking about his vision for Synereo ten years into the future.  Long term projects require long term funding.  Do the math.

You sound like the same guys that were selling under 1000 sats after the first crowdsale.  Max amount of AMPs in the foreseeable future is 62.5M + 44M = 106.5M.  A marketcap valuation of Synereo of only $100M puts each AMP at $1.  Imo, we're going to blow past that pretty quickly.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: September 10, 2016, 09:41:04 AM
This is a shame. The technical people behind Synereo have good reputations and I don't believe they would wish to tarnish them with an outright scam. I believe there is a solid plan and genuine intention to develop an innovative and valuable platform. But greed seems to be the primary driver for the funding and distribution model. The risk of price collapse resulting from inflation is a near certainty, and early adopters will be burned badly. I think I would like to support this project at a time when investment represents a reasonable chance of reward. Give it a year or 2, and if Synereo is still around, you should be able to get in a lot cheaper than today.

You don't know what you are talking about.
