http://www.globalresearch.ca/ was already called out as a Putin's propaganda tool. Looking at the site I got an poor, un-academic, impression of such outlet. Using such websites to support your "theories" only disqualified them (and you). What you think as truth wasn't necessarily a true truth!  Wink

Of course, any site that would dare to publish anything in defence of Russia will immediately be labelled as a "Putin's propaganda tool". Deal with it. And deal with content, not the sites.

The true truth in my book, is something that does not give me a cognitive dissonance when cross-referenced from multiple sources and with reality as I personally know it.

PS: and don't try going Ad Hominem on me, by first discrediting  Globalreseach and then me by extension. You chose to ignore the other two links that I posted. Also, they are far from the only sources. I use many Russian-language sources and a few English language ones. For the simple reason that Russian news agencies have reporters on the ground in Donbass, they give air time to for example, Zaharchenko, while Western MSM mainly reprint what the Ministry of Truth of Ukraine tells them, which in turn didn't have a single reporter there on the spot. There were only 2 or 3 exceptions to this.

So, a mix of English and Russian outlets that go to the Source in their reporting:

Hundreds of Thousands March Through Moscow in Memory of ‘Immortal Regiment’
http://sputniknews.com/russia/20150509/1021926988.html

Quote
Hundreds of thousands of Muscovites are taking part in the so-called 'Immortal Regiment' march, carrying photographs of their relatives in memory of those who took part in the Great Patriotic War (a term used in Russia and other former Soviet republics to describe hostilities on the eastern fronts of World War II in 1941-1945).
863  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 09, 2015, 01:32:49 PM
I see a battle of will was raging over night... There are a few points that I want to address.

Then post those western sites that are not being biassed because RT is definitely not one of them. Also You say You are showing the truth but haw can anyone believe You? Again If You are showing one sided materials then that's just propaganda but form the other side.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/
http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2015/04/10/canada-represents-reservoir-support-ukrainian-neo-nazis.html
http://paulcraigroberts.org/

The problem is, as soon as I post any article that is telling the truth it will be labelled as "pro-Russian" and "biased".

You problem is that you concentrate too much on the sites and not on the content. RT has a track record of truthful reports, as has been shown time and again. Yes, there is Russian propaganda, but these years it is based on a novel and strong concept of undiluted truth. The stakes are high, though, as there a a lot of vultures waiting to pounce as soon as something that even remotely smells of a lie is published.
Sir Terry Pratchett was right (as in so many things) in his novel "The Truth", when he chose a slogan for the Ankh-Morpork Times a slogan with a tiny misprint: "The truth shall make you fret." That's exactly what "Russian propaganda" is doing. Smiley

What a bunch of nonsense. The airplane clearly shows damage of shrapnel.

There are 0 NOT-fake satellite images of the region at the time of the incident. The idea that a fighter plane shot it down is Russian propaganda theory, nothing more nothing less.
Funniest part is that Ukranian fighter jets can't even reach that altitude (30,000 FT+ ).

Buk operators will be found and brought down for justice.

Excuse me? Why would Ukraine need Anti-Aircraft weapons in the area to begin with? DNR/LNR don't have air force.

While in the same time DNR was praising its AA weaponry (Ukranian air craft down by DNR:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ukrainian_aircraft_losses_during_the_Ukrainian_crisis). Same time frame MH17 was shot down, what a coincidence.

Unless you come up with a solid argument, you will remain a russian forum troll in my eyes.

The Air-to-Air missile also uses shrapnel.
The SU-25 that Captain Voloshin flew and returned without AA missiles, saying to his comrades something about a mistake, can reach that hight, and a missile fired from it, can reach even further up.
http://www.kp.ru/daily/26323.5/3204312/

The Ukrainian Buks were in the area for the simple fact that several Ukrainian AA divisions have permanent bases of dislocation there. So your attempt to insinuate that they were there because of the conflict is a fail.

The mentioned aircrafts, shot down by DNR were low flying objects, reachable from manpads.

Also, what are you going to do about the admissions to the shoot-down of MH-17, made by Kolomojskij..?

Incidentally, Russian military engineers published a new report on the shoot-down, and this report was immediately written off by Ukrainian SBU as a falsification:
http://www.gazeta.ru/social/news/2015/05/06/n_7171021.shtml
But as this news is published in a "pro-Russian" media, then clearly, using the NATO-logic, SBU's statement is a lie, so the report must be correct. Smiley

PS I am not a fan of Putin either. Both sides are evil fucks just that the Ukrainian Fascist government is a bit more evil.

Quoting Rowling, it takes an even greater courage to stand up to your friends, so I want to challenge you on this statement.
When you say that Putin is evil, are you sure you are not just repeating the character assassination propaganda that's been going on for some years now. If you think that he is, then please support such a claim with examples.
I'd like to point to a few materials, showing who Putin is as a person, what kind of country he got when he became the president.

About propaganda... One of Lada's readers and contributors, Paul, made a good cooment in the following article:

https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/05/06/6039/

Quote
The West, especially the US and Canada, have taken in a large number of anti-Communist or anti-Russian immigrants. They were groomed for going back and taking over, which is what happened in the Ukraine, and somewhat happened in other countries.

In addition, propaganda and mind control have made tremendous strides since WWII. But I suspect a big problem in the Ukraine that is fairly serious in the West as well is that decent people feel it is helpless. Good people get shot or set up, and the scum rises to the top. So people in Novorossiya stayed out of politics or cultural affairs, and all that was left was the professionals of the Soros type. And there was no outside force creating decent or pro-Russian politicians or groups.

To which Lada replied:

Quote
Perfect summary, Paul. Exactly what happened.
Another thing that happened is that stronger leaders and better thinkers left that artificial country giving up on it, as discussed in Oligarch Wars. They were leaving for the past 25 years, moving to Moscow or to US and EU, or even Pridnestrovie. Those who were still left by 2013 were chased out or killed by 2015. Who is left? Good question…
At the same time, sometimes it’s necessary to let the masses experience hardship and see for themselves what happens if they give up and if they expect someone else to solve their problems. This is what tests the true spirit of the people and makes them wake up.

Ukraine will be the most interesting case study of this decade and beyond; it’ll help teach the rest of humans what to do and what to never do. By mid-20s there will be no country called Ukraine – it will be called something else. And people there will start breathing easier. They will recall their roots and completely change direction. Ironically, they will have US, Canada, EU and Poland to thank for their awakening because in 3D reality some people can only understand the good by comparing it to the bad – by contrast.

You know, the usually pretty valuable real estate in Odessa fell in value by 2-3 times since maidan. And tourists from Russia, US and Israel stopped coming. They are only expecting western Ukraine tourists this year, who are the only ones to have money to spend from Western grants, payoffs and ATO ops/robbing Donbass.
Irony? Disaster -and the price for being asleep for the past 20 odd years.

Meanwhile in Moscow, the Parade commemorating 70 years of victory over Nazism was a success. The only glaring absence was that of Merkel - her absence spoke louder than any words about hers and her American masters attitude towards Nazism.

Oh, and if "Barak does not come to the Parade, then Parade will come to Barak". An action, projecting parade onto the wall of White House:

No one's Forgotten
Nothing's Forgotten

Today marks the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in WWII and Great Patriotic War.
Much can be said commemorating the sacrifice of the 27 million Soviet citizens, who lost their lives on the way to victory. But the best tribute to it is in the words and the imagery of the following immortal song of Lev Leshenko - <em>Victory Day</em> - performed by Iosif Kobzon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym4Fy6ZNQO4

Victory Day!

Victory Day how far away it was from us,
As a smouldering piece of coal in an extinguished fire.
There were miles, burnt and dusty, -
We hastened this day however we could.

This Victory Day
Has become permeated with the smell of gunpowder,
It is a celebration
With greying hair on one's temples.
It is a joy
With the tears in one's eyes.
Victory Day!
Victory Day!
Victory Day!

Days and nights in front of the hearth furnaces
Our Motherland didn't shut her eyes.
Days and nights conducting a difficult battle -
We hastened this day however we could.

This Victory Day
Has become permeated with the smell of gunpowder,
It is a celebration
With greying hair on one's temples.
It is a joy
With the tears in one's eyes.
Victory Day!
Victory Day!
Victory Day!

Hello, mama, not all of us returned...
Would be nice to run barefoot on dew!
Half of Europe have we walked, half the Earth -
We hastened this day however we could.

This Victory Day
Has become permeated with the smell of gunpowder,
It is a celebration
With greying hair on one's temples.
It is a joy
With the tears in one's eyes.
Victory Day!
Victory Day!
Victory Day!

Guys I don't know who else is following this thread apart form Russians and Ukrainians but if you want to make this thread more then just Russian fans propaganda, I suggests placing links to other websites than just those that are sided with Russia. No offence.

I am not taking sides with Russia, but with truth. There are a few Western sites that don't fall for the cheap Ukrainian propaganda that Western MSM reprint with such abundance, and who try to tell people what is really happening in Ukraine in general and Donbass in particular. If you have questions about some publications, do post links to them here and we can look at them together, seeking for the truth of the matter.

Otherwise we have a strange situation in perception: if an article bashes Russia and Russians in Ukraine, then it must be true, otherwise if it tells of suffering of the people there, then it's Russian propaganda...

The designated spot is Indian Ocean, north of Madagascar.

Of all the cargo ships that reach ISS like regular buses, this one had to have a failure! It carried a copy of the Victory Banner, that Russia hoped to deliver to ISS, like it did with the Olympic torch last year.

We maybe would have been more caring for their loss if we hadn't been in a cold war with them the second the war with Germany ended.

Well, yes, Western media and politicians worked over time to create the image of USSR as the enemy, rewriting bits of history here and there, much like they are doing today with Russia. In this regard, it is interesting to watch Oliver Stone's "The Untold History of the United States": it was not USSR that started using the cold war rhetoric first. Also, read the following article, especially the paragraph titled "Let’s get this straight". Much becomes clear:
https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/04/15/comrades-roosevelt-and-gregory-peck-when-hollywood-sent-its-scripts-for-stalins-approval/

I've made a new translations:

President Putin's account of his family's fighting and survival in blockaded Leningrad
“Life is such a simple, yet cruel thing”
http://stanislavs.org/life-is-such-a-simple-yet-cruel-thing/
That is what I would call an "eye opener" - anyone that wants to understand Putin (and possibly the Russian people) might be well advised to read that translation.

Of course, no-one today in the bloated West wants to understand.

No-one wants to comprehend 27 million deaths - how can one man understand sacrifice on that scale, even if the will were there to do so ?

So we ignore it.

There is a saying that is attributed to Stalin: "A single death is a tragedy, death of a millions is a static".
We see how it is demonstrated hands-on today in the way those deaths are "remembered" in the West:

Merkel will not be coming to Moscow on the 9th of May, which is a real slap in the face of those 27 million people. Other German politicians understand it, saying that Merkel could hardly have chosen a worse day for a stand-off with Russia over Ukraine:
http://www.vz.ru/news/2015/5/7/744107.html
Poroshenko put more fuel into the fire, praising those Western leaders who will not mark the 70th anniversary of the defeat of Nazism in Germany by not attending memorial parade in Moscow.

As for an eye-opener... Every family in the former USSR has a story like this to tell. That's the real eye-opener for many living comfortably today in the Western world.

There is a project "Thank you, grandpa, for the Victory":
http://cpacibodedu.ru/
It collects accounts of heroism and losses of that time, told by the descendants of those, who fought and died back then. There are photographs and documents on that site. It's in Russian, but I encourage everyone to visit and to browse through, maybe with the help of Google translator.
871  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 08, 2015, 07:28:12 AM
According to the recent numbers from UN, over 6243 people died and 15615 wounded since April 2014 as the result of the was in Donbass:
http://ria.ru/world/20150507/1063161280.html
I would double those numbers, though...

An international group of inspectors from Denmark, containing also inspectors from Canada, Moldavia and Poland) started their work in Donbass. They will start from Kramatorsk, assessing the damage.
http://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/1952713
I wanted to write here, the handiwork... It all sounds like the Kroatian scenario, where an international group assessed the situation, and the next thing you new, Serbs were driven out of their homes.

Court in Harkov prohibits WWII veterans to march through the city on the 9th of May!
http://ria.ru/world/20150507/1063106310.html

9 metro stations in Kiev will have all Soviet symbolism chiselled away from their decorations. Those decorations will probably be preserved in a "communist occupation" museum (like they do it in Baltics)
http://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/1954707
Maybe they should fill up the stations and demolish the Kiev metro altogether, while they are at it - after all it was constructed by the now-much-hated communists, and in very difficult geological conditions, so many stations are very deep...

NATO launches massive war drills on Russia's doorstep

Published on May 6, 2015
NATO has launched massive war games on Russia's doorstep, with drills taking part in Estonia and Norway. Personnel from ten alliance members, including the US and the UK, are taking part.

Funny you should mention it...

The Canadian journalist published an interesting piece:

NATO seeks to draw in new anti-Russia forces: Analyst

Press TV has interviewed Fred Weir, a journalist and political commentator in Moscow, to discuss recent military exercises held by NATO members in Europe, while Russia prepares to celebrate World War II Victory Day.

Press TV: Sir, give us your thoughts on the recent military exercises being carried out by NATO members.

Weir: Well, most of this is not routine. I mean we have always had routine military exercises every year, big organizations get together dozens of times a year to hold war games and so on. It is not just that this takes place amid a political crisis, a very serious one over Ukraine, but that it is drawing in new energies, new forces. For instance, Sweden will be cooperating for the first time with the anti-submarine exercises, although Sweden is not a member of NATO.

Press TV: What kind of response are you expecting to see from Moscow?

Weir: Well, they will complain, have complained. They will say all the things that are said, because this is not the first time... this is not new and has been going on for months and months; this ratcheting up of tensions. But of course Russia right now is completely absorbed in the Victory Day celebrations, which will happen in a few days. There will be a very big, huge military parade across Moscow. We have rehearsals going on right now with all the new Russian equipment, new Russian tanks, and armored vehicles, new fighter plane; this fifth generation fighter plane. So this I think is all connected as well. This is a huge day for Russia. Western leaders are boycotting this military parade and all this... I mean this military games in the Baltic and the North Sea are probably a part of that.

And while Canada is mentioned...

Canada Represents a Reservoir of Support for Ukrainian Nazis
https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/05/06/6039/

(with regard to info published in http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2015/04/10/canada-represents-reservoir-support-ukrainian-neo-nazis.html )

Quote
Lada says:

Sadly, Canada has been one of the main sources of support for ukro-nazis, who in the 20th century were exclusively concentrated in western Ukraine (Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk, Rovno oblasts – usually referred to together as Galichina and Volin’).

Do you want to know where else the Ukrainian Bandera-nazis concentrated after WWII?

The answer is connected to the following questions. Why is Canada so hands-on about a country located half the world away? What’s in it for Canada?

...

And, finally, I want to say a few words about Iosif Kobzon. He is not only a popular singer, who performed many songs about The War. Here is his performance of "The Victory Day":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym4Fy6ZNQO4

He is also a brave person. During the Nord-Ost hostage drama, when islamic terrorists took hostages in Moscow theatre
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_theater_hostage_crisis
Iosif Kobzon agreed to act as a negotiator going in, and managing to convince the terrorists to release some of the hostages.

He accompanied one of the humanitarian convoys to Donbass, fully aware of the danger that Ukro-nazis may shoot at and shell the convoy.

He came under American and European sanctions for defending democracy, vocally supporting the right of the people of Crimea and Donbass to self-determinations.

Clearly, such an exemplary person, a role model for what an honest human being should be, scares the Empire of Chaos and their Euro-vassals, so they had to ban him, to prohibit him from entering Europe.

Some news from the madhouse:

The city of Artemovsk, which has been renamed into Bahmut(?!) is taking measures against Ukraine's enemy number 1, Soviet/Russian singer Iosif Kobzon, who was incidentally borne not far from Donetsk. The will be demolishing a memorial placard with his name tomorrow:

At the same time the will install a memorial placard to the "hero of Ukraine" Chernjavskij (which one?): https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A7%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%BD%D1%8F%D0%B2%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9
and will unveil the first defensive complex (against the other Ukrainians?) that they've built...

And Ukraine now officially put the Nazis from UPA/OUN and Stepan Bandera, who have thousands of Ukrainian, Russian and Polish lives on their hands, as members of anti-Hitler coalition:

Gimme a break, a Dane in charge of a military alliance. It´s just another dumpster for politicians past their expiration date. Isn´t a Norwegian another big shot there at NATO ? Yawn. And they´re in charge of military that has watched too much Hollywood-Pentagon for decades, hasn´t been able to subdue anything remotely capable of defending itself for like forever. And now they´re up against the Russian Bear. Small wonder that they´re confused, they´ve been played like the dunces that they are.

P.S. Actually the Danes have a very pertinent and elementary saying for this situation

Den mere kloge narrer den mindre kloge.

The wiser one fools the less wise one. Nice Smiley

As for NATO, they are trying the Georgian vector again, sending 14 Bradley armoured vehicles there (from Bulgarian Varnu, which in turn plans to take up loans to buy NATO equipment in replacement of the Russian one they have now) and planning new exercises:

Facts? you speak of facts but you keep twisting them.
Poland was a sovereign nation before WWII, what is there is to debate about this?
This is truth, nothing is being twisted. I'm sorry you failed history or was given a revisionist view of it.
But you keep up with the USSr propaganda BS I'm done with stupid.

Did I ever deny that Poland was a sovereign state before WWII? No. I didn't revise anything. If you accuse me of revisionism, please point out exactly what I revised.
When Nazi Germany started the war, there was no way for Poland to keep its sovereignty. Did Poland have an army that could have kept Germany at bay? No. So the 3 options that I stated remain valid. (And, incidentally, those 3 options apply equally to USSR, which also was a sovereign state before WWII)

Also, Poland remained more of a sovereign state under USSR's influence than it is now under USA/EU dictate. At least Poland's economy was separate from USSR and Poland could conduct its own monetary policy after the war. Oh, and Poland continued to exist as a separate state with even larger territories than before the war. This would not have been the case if Germany won.

Meanwhile in Europe. The forces that desperately try to re-write and forget the history chose their tarhet - the momorial motor-cross of the "night Wolves". Not many on this forum would have started a thread like this Nemo - so I congratulate you. There are some great links as well, which I fully intend working my way through. So thankyou.

Its peculiar, but I looked up Soviet WW2 losses not long back when there was a commemoration of the Holocaust this year. There seems to be regular remembrances (in the UK at least - I can't speak for anywhere else) of the Holocaust, I've been brought up on them. And of course Hollywood has played its part here.
So I came to wondering how many were lost by the Soviet Union - because, as we all know, it was the Soviet Union that, to all intents and purposes, won WW2.

And I found that even though it was Soviet troops that liberated several of the concentration camps and themselves lost up to (IIRC) 17/19 million civilian lives, not to mention about another 6 million soldiers on top of this, this loss is never acknowledged in the West, let alone commemorated.

Makes me ashamed TBH

I am glad my efforts are not falling on deaf ears, so thank you.

The official number for the USSR's losses are 27 million Soviet citizens, of them 8.7 million combatants.

However, these numbers may be lower relative to the real losses, according to some researches, who say that there were 13.7 million in combatant losses. According to this research, and cross-referencing the census of 1939 and 1959, the researcher comes to the number of 40-41 million people, when combatant and civilian losses are combined.

Here is an article on this topic from 2011:
http://www.gazeta.ru/science/2011/06/22_a_3671157.shtml

The evidence I've seen so far, speaks however, that the number 27 million people is closer to reality. And for comparison: the total population of USSR at that time was 250 million people.

Yes, the presence of Academi/Blackwarter in Ukraine was confirmed several times. However, their task might not be to fight with Donbass, as speculated, but to keep the ukro-nazis in check and towing the line.

Carter: Return of the Crimea to Russia was Inevitable

May 1st, 2015

Adapted from Rusvesna and VOA -  Joaquin Flores

Former US President Jimmy Carter, in an interview with radio station "Voice of America", said that the reunification of Russia and the Crimea was an inevitable event.

How is it that as soon as a US president vacates his office, he suddenly starts talking sense? Is there some kind of virus in the White House office that makes people occupying it behave irrationally. Smiley
