Last Hope for Ukraine: All-Ukrainian Orthodox March for Peace in Donbass Culminates in Kiev
https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2016/07/28/last-hope-for-ukraine-all-ukrainian-orthodox-march-for-peace-in-donbass-culminates-in-kiev/

Quote
the All-Ukrainian Russian Orthodox March for Peace in Donbass started on July 3, one in the east (Donbass), another in the west (Ternopol) of Ukraine. Both marched on foot to Kiev, where they converged and joined forces.

The name for this unique event, which on a smaller scale regularly takes place for special occasions in Russian Orthodox churches, is Крестный ход (Krestniy Khod). However, the size and scope of this particular happening is unprecedented.

Some incorrectly translate Крестный ход to English as ‘a crusade.’ In reality, the right translation would be a ‘peaceful pilgrimage’ with the elements of a ‘march.’  The purpose of such event is multi-prong: to atone for personal and collective sins of humans; to ask for forgiveness and seek god’s and Divine Mother’s protection; to declare the desire for unity and peace.

Technically, initially – some time in 9th-10th century or so – a Catholic ‘crusade’ did signify the same as Крестный ход. However, the meaning of a crusade was irreparably tarnished as a result of aggressive Crusades by violent Western/Catholic knights against Jerusalem, Constantinople, Middle East and Russia with the expressed purpose of looting and conquest. Therefore, the word ‘crusade’ acquired a decidedly negative and derogatory connotation.

A reader asked me if these were two separate branches of Orthodox Church that wanted to show their unity by converging in Kiev. No, this is the same Russian Orthodox Church: its Ukrainian branch. This march united all those in Ukraine who belong to the Russian Orthodox Church, with Patriarchy in Moscow. This is the dominant religion in Ukraine.

However, there is a breakaway branch of ‘Ukrainian Orthodox Church,’ unrecognized by other Orthodox Churches and world religions. There is also a very confusing ‘Greek-Catholic’ Church, primarily in Western Ukraine, where the Vatican penetrated when those territories belonged to Poland and Austria-Hungary. The latter is essentially Catholicism with some Orthodox stuff thrown in to camouflage its real essence. Both of these have been thriving and greatly expanding since 2014 Kiev coup. They both support the ‘right sector’ and Bandera ukro-nazis; both are Russophobic. Neither of these two were a party to this All-Ukrainian march.

There is a big problem in Ukraine with these two breakaway (shall we call them separatist?) religions: using nationalists and ukro-nazis, they attack regular Orthodox churches and monasteries, beat up, kill or expel Batyushkas (priests), threaten congregations and take over such churches for themselves. The problem is being silenced or quietly supported by Poroshenko and his junta. Russian State and the Russian Church have been trying to appeal to Catholic and other religions, as well as to Western leaders to help restore justice. The West – as usual – is silent.

There were many threats against this All-Ukraine March for Peace, and not only from ukro-nazis, but also from Ukraine government officials. Ukraine’s minister of interior Arsen Avakov and his advisor Gerashchenko posted threats against march participants on their Facebook pages; recommendations to attack and kill the marchers sounded from some Ukraine parliament deputies. Rotten eggs were thrown, fake bombs were set up on the way. Odessa pilgrims were threatened to be BURNED ALIVE inside buses they were boarding to get to Kiev (recall Odessa May 2, 2014 Kulikovo Polie tragedy when people were burned alive)! Attempts to intimidate pilgrims, disrupt the march and block it from entering Kiev were made by ukro-nazis from fascist OUN/UPA.

...

While the dark forces that took over Ukraine ran to their Mediterranean villas or hid in their holes, an extraordinary situation took place in Kiev as one hundred thousand people joined the march through its streets. Previously, ten thousand joined the march when it traveled through Kharkov, and thousands joined it in every town and city it passed. In every town, including Kiev, volunteers cooked free meals and prepared tea for pilgrims. Kiev, for the first time since the bloody February 2014 coup, turned into a city of peace and unity. Observers noted that the energy during the march was incredibly high. And they are absolutely right.

And the last fragment from that outstanding report that I wish to share:

Quote
In conclusion, a word about the evolution of the Russian Olympic uniform

Here is the previous Russian Olympic uniform:

And this is Russian 2016 Rio Olympic uniform. As you’ll notice, this is the first time in modern history (after the USSR collapse) that the word ‘Russia’ is written on the uniforms in Russian: Россия.

This is important because Russia has begun asserting herself again and this is an announcement for all to see. Do you remember how during Sochi Olympics the teams were coming out for the Opening Ceremony in the order of the Russian, not Latin, alphabet – and that generated a storm of indignation in the West. How dare they use their own alphabet at their own Games! Now, these damn Russians decided to write their country’s name on their uniforms in their own language?!! That’s just not done.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, served as a proverbial red to any Russophobic Western bull. It became an aggravating factor in the attack on the Russian team.

Russia had a decline in territory in the last 50 years, that could be a reason. I think its more probable to have economic war, look at China, it's not in many wars but economy has been rising.

Um... Really? Last I checked Russia increased its territory with the return of Crimea. If you mean the lands of Malorossia and Novorossia, they were chopped off from Russia by Lenin 100 years ago, and not 50. Same with Belorussia.

May I suggest that you refine the quality of your posts to something that is at least remotely historical accurate.

The Russians should blame themselves. In the mid 1990s, Ukraine wanted to merge with Russia, to create a Union state. It was Boris Yeltsin who turned down that proposal, after consulting with Bill Clinton. And in the late 1990s, the same happened with a proposal to merge Russia and Belarus. Yeltsin should have been toppled before he was able to destroy the RF.

In which case you'd remember that there was an attempt to democratically impeach Yeltsin in November 1993, when it became clear where he was leading the country (to destruction), and the bloody US-sponsored de-facto coup which followed - with tanks in Moscow shooting at the Parliament, something that kept Yeltsin and hime American advisors in power for 7 more years (in a way Russia between 1994 and 2000 was not much different from Ukraine of 2014 onwards)...

In 1991 Russians were naive, after 1993 and until 2000 the Russians were enslaved...

PS: As an additional answer to virtualx: if Russia were to respond no to the American actions in the same way USSR did back then, Russia would have needed to conduct a coup in Canada, install 5-6 military bases in Mexico and a couple on Cuba, and then sponsor a bunch of NGOs in USA to scream in all American media that the Obama regime must be toppled, all the while complaining in the same media that under Obama there is no freedom of speech in the USA. Western news writes again that Putin is planning to take over the world  Roll Eyes

When one reads something like this, apply Owrellian double-speak. NATO has come so close to the Russian borders that it may cross them at any time (even by a pre-planned "accident") and provoke Russia into a symmetric response.

As I wrote in my thread Is the West gearing up to invade Russia once again?, USNATO and its launching facilities (which can carry nuclear warheads) are so close to Moscow, that even a small accident at those sites, which may look like a launch towards Russia will mean a response from Russia. When the launching sites were further from the Russian border, the world could be more at peace - Russia would have time to evaluate the threat and not resort to a nuclear response.

Oh fuck! Very good point you make... Those Americans are so irresponsible... Where would it be more acceptable to Russia?
Russia used to place nuclear missile in Cuba. Is that responsible? Why can't Russia join NATO?  Smiley

1. USSR placed nuclear missiles in Cuba as a response to USA placing nuclear missiles in Turkey. that was responsible. After some off-channel negotiations between Khrushev and Kennedy, USA removed those missiles from Turkey and USSR removed theirs from Cuba.

2. Russia will not join NATO for the very reason of NATO being an organisation, created with the sole purpose of destroying Russia. It's like asking why a bear won't join the hunters... Besides, Russia did try hones cooperative approach to USNATO, opening cooperation channels, striking agreement, but NATO broke each and every of those agreement.

List of the main reasons for the Russian doping scandal and for the Russian team Rio ban

...

6. Most importantly, weaken Putin as he comes into the election year and make him arrive to the March 2018 Russian elections as vulnerable as possible.

PREDICTIONS

Putin, Russia and WWIII

Their wet dream of weakening Putin won’t happen. Putin is the only person who is able to keep the situation balanced enough so that the world wouldn’t plunge into hot WWIII. And because of that Putin will continue generating massive support all over the globe.

As you know, many have predicted and continue predicting that WWIII is about to begin. Just look on YouTube and all over the internet – just about everyone everywhere is predicting WWIII any moment now.

I am the only person who has consistently, from the beginning of FuturisTrendcast in 2014, predicted that there will be no hot WWIII. I predicted the exact same thing on Lada Ray Blog in 2012. Read more in PREDICTIONS.

I have also said many times that the only reason there will be no hot WWIII is Putin and his team. Those dark entities that want to create the ultimate chaos on the planet know this truth, but of course they’ll never admit it. Instead, they’ll do everything in their power to compromise and weaken Putin and his team. If they could eliminate him, they would. But THIS they are unable to do, for a very good reason. All they can do is try to weaken Putin, create chaos around Russian borders, and attempt confusing/ distracting his electorate.

As the opening of the highly-politicised Olympics is drawing closer, it is interesting to take a look at the previous Olympics, when stabs at Russia were taken.

Here is a short historical anthology from the same report (https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2016/07/23/lada-ray-report-end-of-olympics-plot-to-remove-russia-from-international-sports-revealed)

Quote
I wrote about this issue several times in 2014 and 2015. Don’t make a mistake of thinking that sports is just that: athletics cum entertainment. Sport is one of the biggest and most powerful geopolitical leverages there is. Sport has been always used in big global politics and it always worked. Recall the boycott of the Moscow 1980 Olympics and USSR’s return boycott of Los Angeles 1984 Olympics. Mao’s China, once banned from Olympics, was urgently invited by the US to participate for the first time, in order to boost the numbers and to put a rift between Russia and China.

The most disgusting and disgraceful Olympics were the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games, which were full of corruption scandals. During Salt Lake City Games US and Anglo-American ‘consortium’ discredited itself utterly by mistreating other countries’ athletes, while flaunting their own. Multiple scandals revolved around medals being taken away from non-English-speaking countries and given to Americans, Canadians and Australians.

I boycotted the Olympics after that and only began watching again starting with Beijing 2008. Of course everyone knows how US and EU tried very hard to sabotage Beijing Olympics by various fake protesters jumping in front of the Olympics torch in France and UK and calls to boycott China.

That didn’t work. So, a new plot to sour the Olympics and put a rift between Russia and China was developed. It was the infamous Georgia – S. Ossetia war. Georgia attacked S. Ossetia and killed 8 Russian peacekeepers exactly during the opening ceremony in Beijing, thus forcing Russia to respond.

Incidentally, notice the number of the killed Russians: 8. According to Chinese numerology and feng shui, the number 8, resembling infinity, is considered the luckiest number. China went to great pains to secure the Olympics that began on 08/08/2008. Triple 8 is especially lucky, according to Chinese numerology. Therefore, 8 Russian peacekeepers killed on 08/08/2008 was an especially sadistically perverted message to China.

Russia was forced to start the so-called 4 day war against Georgia, aka, a ‘peace-keeping operation.’ During the Olympics all wars are supposed to cease, therefore, it was an additional deliberate affront. Both China and Russia were wise enough to see where the wind was blowing from; therefore, the ultimate plan of putting a wedge between them failed.

Fast forward to 2014 and Sochi Winter Olympics. Behold the disgusting lies that were told about Sochi, its construction process and its future! One could fill books with that dirt and calls to boycott the Sochi Olympics. In 1980 the pretext of the Afghanistan war was used to boycott the Moscow Olympics. Let’s recall that the Sochi Olympics began BEFORE Ukraine, Crimea and Donbass events took place. There was absolutely nothing for them to go on. They did try the gay angle, but that didn’t go very far. The calls to boycott the Sochi Olympics flooded from practically all Western countries not based on any facts, but JUST IN CASE.

There was a problem though. After the 1980 and 1984 fiascoes, IOC developed the new law, according to which, any country boycotting the Games is automatically banned from future participation. Neither US nor EU could afford that. Therefore, they announced that the leaders of Western countries would boycott the Sochi Opening Ceremony, to which they all were invited as a courtesy.

The only two exceptions were the king and queen of the Netherlands and President of Czechia, who attended, despite the pressure to snub Sochi. In this regard it makes one wonder how much the Royal Dutch MH17 plane tragedy in Ukraine several months later was retaliation for the Dutch king’s disobedience. It certainly is a hell of a coincidence.

Those who boycotted the Sochi Opening Ceremony missed a lot. It was gorgeous, and so was the Closing Ceremony. Probably the most beautiful such ceremonies ever made. The Creative Director of the Sochi Games Konstantin Ernst was honored with the TV ‘Oscar’ equivalent for the 2014’s best show.

Since nothing else worked, the ultimate stunt was performed to spoil the Sochi Olympics: ukro-nazi Maidan and Kiev coup were executed during the Games, plunging Ukraine into chaos and turning it into a violent anti-Russian abyss on Russian borders.

Now it’s the turn of the Rio Olympics. Brazil is part of the BRICS. First, they needed to oust Dilma Rousseff, who would have never allowed such disaster to happen. The next step is to make everything associated with Brazil Olympics as unpleasant as possible, therefore souring the taste for Brazilians and guests alike.

Make no mistake: one of the goals for the whole Rio fiasco and Russian ban scandal is to taint the Rio Olympics as part of retaliation against Dilma Rousseff and Lula da Silva for defying US and siding with Russia! Dilma’s ousting and humiliation wasn’t enough – this is a swipe directly against Lula, because Rio Games was his baby project!

Ousting the Russian team is the next step. Overall, this is part of a major, multi-prong and multi-move game to create a rift within the BRICS, with the ultimate purpose of its disintegration. The real targets here are Russia and China, but mostly Russia.

Lada’s translation of NTV piece (see Russian text below or in this link, along with Vovan and Lexus photo).

Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexei Stolyarov) called the director of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), Sir Craig Reedie, and the head of USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency) Travis Tygart back on May 28, 2016. It was USADA that initiated and spearheaded the anti-doping investigation of Russia. NTV decided to postpone airing the revelations obtained during these calls to spare the international sports bureaucrats a major embarrassment and so not to influence their previous decisions.

However, in the run-up to the fateful decision on July 24, when IOC may punish the entire Russian team, banning it from Rio Olympics, the entire secret dirty underworld will be revealed. Our viewers will hear how the Director of WADA, Sir Craig Reedie will admit that they had no proof other than the interview of Rodchenkov to New York Times. The Head of USADA Travis Tygart will confess to Vovan parading as ‘Minister of Sport of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov,’ that the ultimate objective is to remove Russia from all international competitions because ‘this is politics, my friend.’

(LR: Rodchenkov is the ousted scandalous RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency) director, who defected to the US.)

These and other details of the scandal will be revealed on July 22 at 22:30 on NTV.

...

Spies among us: What is show ‘The Call’ and who are Vovan and Lexus?

‘The Call’ consists of a high-profile telephone prank performed in front of live audience by two famous Russian pranksters and investigative journalists Vovan and Lexus. They usually pretend to be someone important, someone to whom the person on the other side can’t refuse to speak.

You may recall my mentioning Vovan and Lexus in conjunction with massive revelations and international scandals they revealed. I have translated one of their revelations of a secret collusion between Moldova and Ukraine relative to crashing the Moldova protests in ESR8. They call-pranked Belarus’s Lukashenko; multiple top bras of Ukraine; they revealed various collusions between EU, Turkey, Ukraine and Islamist terrorists. Then there was Vovan and Lexus prank call to Erdogan, where he agreed to plot against Russia with the fake Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk.

Just for kicks they pranked Elton John, pretending to be Vladimir Putin. After Putin learned that the elderly Englishman was upset, he called him personally in his usual gracious manner.

Also, are there even enough history-literate people around in the West to realise that it was Poland that invaded Russia time and again - 8 times in all since 1500s (closely followed only by Turkey), occupying Moscow on one occasion. Also it is Poland that has been the igniting catalyst to several invading wars against Russia - Napoleonic invasion of 1812, German invasion during WWII.

So if you get WWIII now, you can "thank" Poland and it's ambitions for conquest again.

It also has to be noted, as correctly pointed out by that poor little UK rag Independent, that IOC Head Thomas Bach (a German) is, as they call him, ‘pro-Russian.’ This simply means that the man spent his entire lifetime encouraging sport and supporting those countries that spend a lot of resources to support the development sport, both nationally and internationally. Russia happens to be such a country. Thomas Bach and IOC have been doing some very fancy footwork for years, trying to keep the filthy paws of Anglo-Americans out of the Olympics. Only with some limited success, I might add. He is a very skilled politician – and he needs every ounce of this skill now. If he defies the US/UK aggression into his domain again, he is in grave danger.

Recall the very influential Zepp Blatter (a Swiss), who ruled FIFA for years and who was simply smeared on the wall last year after he refused to succumb to US/EU pressure and frame Russia for bribery to get World Cup 2018 hosting rights. Blatter was also accused(!) of being ‘pro-Russian’ – and that, in the eyes of the Western globalist elites is an indictment! Read the whole story in Hybrid War: The Whole Truth About Doping and Demands to Ban Russia from 2016 Summer Olympics.

As we see, it’s very dangerous to stand up to Anglo-Americans when they are going for the kill. I hope Bach’s famous political skill is sufficient to wiggle his and IOC’s way out of this tight spot.

...

There are other examples as well. Remember how Dominique Strauss-Kahn was set up by the US and snubbed a chance at a French presidency and thrown out of the IMF?

The source for you article - die deutschen wirschaftsnachrichten - is extremely questionable.

You should take everything from them with a grain boeing 747 of salt.

Let's hope that is the case. I am initially going with PCR's observations, assuming he trusts his sources - the publication in die deutschen wirschaftsnachrichten being one of them.

PS: I can't, for obvious reasons, verify the Wirschaftsnachrichten article's postulation that Germany adds Russia as an enemy-state to it's military doctrine. However, I can verify the remainder of the article, which says that Russia is being vilified in the West on false, doubøe-standard, premises. I can also safely say that PCR's assessment is correct - USNATO's military excersises on the Russian border and the mushrooming USNATO military bases / rocket launching sites bring very stark analogies with the Russians of another June 22nd - 1941, when Germany invaded USSR at 4am. That date and time is commemorated in Russia as the day of mourning, it's not forgotten, the momory of that invasion is carried through the generations, and what USNATO is doing now rings a lot of alarming bells.

Add to that with the USNATO's potential nuclear launching sites being closer to the Russian border and hving a shorter flight time to Moscow, means Moscow will have less decision time if it needs to launch a counterattack, should an accident happen.

Bad things happen when good people are silent – or indifferent!

Why should you pay close attention to what is happening in global sports and Olympics, even if you are indifferent to them? Because just like anywhere else, if you look the other way, they’ll sneak in NWO before you know it!

The modern Olympics movement was started in the end of 19th century by the French Pierre de Coubertin. Russia is presently rebalancing the severely tilted to the West world, which has become utterly imbalanced, with an unfair advantage assigned to the West, at the expense of the rest of the globe. It is fitting that an era of the West will end in the disbanding or slow dying of the Western initiative of the modern Olympics.

Anti-Russia Hybrid War in Sports! Fact summary: Russian athletes’ Rio ban + Meldonium scandal

I wrote about this issue in 2015 and I warned of this outcome in:

Hybrid War: The Whole Truth About Doping and Demands to Ban Russia from 2016 Summer Olympics
Brazil Color Revolution: Corruption, Dilma, Lula, Zika, Rio Olympics and BRICS. Lada Ray Report & Predictions

I won’t repeat the facts and analytics from the previous two reports. Please read them for the completeness of your understanding. There are many new facts and revelations taking place since 2015. Let’s discuss newest developments.

Russian team ban from Rio Olympics

Russia lost it’s Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) appeal on Thursday, 7/21, against an Olympic ban on its track-and-field athletes. Russians were holding their breath for the decision, still hoping for some justice from the ‘democratic’ European court. The court located in Switzerland, had some wishy-washy closing words to say: on one hand the appeal cannot be granted because the IAAF (Intl Athletic Federation) ruling is within its rules; on the other hand – how strange that IAAF and WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) waited till June to come out with allegations and issue the ban, thus leaving no time for ‘clean’ athletes to appeal before the start of Rio Olympics on August 5, 2016. The ban was upheld, nevertheless.

But it gets worse: Russia faces a potential blanket Rio 2016 ban after losing appeal against IAAF ruling on track-and-field athletes. The total number of the Russian athletes who were supposed to participate in Rio was 400 before the ban.

The entire Russian track-and-field team, except 1 – about 68 athletes in total – were banned from Rio Olympics participation, including many who never failed a drug test in their life. Why did they single out one random athlete to allow her participation in Rio? Because this one single person is chosen to put a rift within the team and underscore further just ‘how corrupt the entire team is.’

WADA/IAAF/US also tried to seduce some of the athletes to participate in Rio not under the Russian flag, but under a neutral IOC banner, basically denouncing their country. This was a clear provocation designed to create suspicion and rift within Russian society and sports community. There were no takers among track-and-field team. I guarantee if there were any takers, such athletes would have been immediately allowed to compete in Rio.

It has to be mentioned that for most athletes being at the games is a once in a lifetime opportunity and the psychological trauma of being denied that chance can break one’s life. Therefore, giving them a choice to participate at the expense of betraying their country constitutes an especially exquisite torture.

This ban includes 2-time Olympic and 7-time world champion, multiple-time world-record holder Yelena Isinbayeva. Isinbayeva, named more than once World Athlete of the Year and widely known to never take any drugs, recently came back from maternity leave in order to train hard for participation in her last Olympics. Isinbayeva is one of the best known names in the contemporary sport and she was the spokesperson for the Russian team during the CAS appeal.

Yelena Isinbayeva has been very outspoken about the injustice of the IAAF/WADA decision, and the attack on Russian athletes based on political motives. It is interesting that most world’s national athletic federations have been silent about the decision, while the retired athletes and sports bureaucrats internationally spoke out against it.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that ten countries demanded Russian blanket ban, among these: USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland and Germany. A British competitor of Yelena Isinbayeva said that she (Isinbayeva) ‘doesn’t deserve justice because she is a heterosexual (aka, not gay!), and Putin supporter(!).’  Just imagine how much her competitors have hated her coming back after childbirth and how much they are afraid of her!

Meldoniy (Meldonium) scandal

The Meldonium scandal began developing earlier this year after late last year WADA suddenly declared Meldonium to be a super-doping agent and banned it. It quickly turned out that Meldonium stayed in one’s bloodstream for months, and so, even those athletes who ended Meldonium usage immediately after the ban, tested positive months later and were promptly banned from all international competitions. WADA faced criticism for its ‘poorly researched and tested’ decision on Meldonium, but it simply shrugged off any such criticism and kept plowing on.

Here is an article on CBS about that: Meldonium producers say the drug can take months to leave body

The most famous athlete they got on Meldonium scandal was tennis star Maria Sharapova, who, as a result, is under a 2-year playing ban, and of course, she is missing the Rio Olympics. Why it was important to get Sharapova? Along with Yelena Isinbayeva, she is the face of the Russian sport. She was the Russian flag bearer at the London Olympics, and just like Isinbayeva, she is universally loved and admired.

...

The kicker is this: what is really Meldonium, aka, Meldoniy or Meldonat? The Western MSM presstitutes will have you believe it’s some sort of new secret drug, used as mega-conspiracy by Sharapova and other Russians to gain an unfair advantage.

In reality, it is an innocent over-the-counter medicine anyone in Russia can buy by simply walking into a neighborhood pharmacy. What’s more, it’s a very old restorative, widely used and well-known to WADA, IOC and world sports federations since Soviet times. The issue of it being considered doping was NEVER raised before.

It was developed during USSR in Latvia, when it was still called the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, by a Latvian scientist. I believe it was in 1970s or early ’80s. Up till last year, when the market collapsed due to sudden ban, Meldoniy (Meldonat) was a very substantial part of Latvian export, constituting 1% of Latvian annual GDP! The reason is this: Melodoniy is taken liberally by lay users and professional athletes alike throughout the entire post-Soviet space. It is a mild and safe preparation based on herbs and natural substances, which acts as heart restorative after strenuous exercise. Meldoniy was always considered super-innocuous, therefore, world-class athletes have taken it for years, as a safe bet and in the absence of any other drugs they could use due to ever expanding WADA bans.

Since the all-out war against Russia by the West began before 2014 Sochi Olympics, it was necessary to keep finding new avenues for the ongoing attacks. Most of the previous attacks were deflected or successful counter-attacks by Russia were launched. After Ukraine, attacks on Russian economy and Russian ruble, sanctions, vilifying of Putin and various Russian officials, NATO provocations, post-Soviet space color revolutions and various ongoing lies, what remained? Russian sport. Meldoniy, which wasn’t even considered a drug by global standards, was what they decided to go after – in my view, primarily because it was used by Sharapova.

...

There you have it! Meldonium was banned because: 1. it was invented in the USSR – an indictment in itself in the West; 2. it was primarily taken by Russian athletes, many of whom would be caught in the ban; 3. it caught Sharapova in the crossfire – and she was the big prize.

When the Meldonium attack by WADA began in late 2015 – early 2016, it was hoped that it would be sufficient to push through the ban of the entire Russian Olympic team. Turned out that didn’t stick, but it created enough momentum and generated enough public opinion to produce the next rabbit out of a hat: the interview with ousted ex-Head of RUSADA (Russian Anti-Doping Agency, part of WADA) Rodchenkov, who defected to the US, where he received a fat fee and a lucrative job for his troubles, and from where he started bashing Russian authorities.

Armageddon Approaches — Paul Craig Roberts

Quote
Paul Craig Roberts

The Western public doesn’t know it, but Washington and its European vassals are convincing Russia that they are preparing to attack. Eric Zuesse reports on a German newspaper leak of a Bundeswehr decision to declare Russia to be an enemy nation of Germany.
http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2016/06/09/germany-preparing-for-war-against-russia.html
This is the interpretation that some Russian politicians themselves have put on the NATO military bases that Washington is establishing on Russia’s borders.

Washington might intend the military buildup as pressure on President Putin to reduce Russian opposition to Washington’s unilateralism. However, it reminds some outspoken Russians such as Vladimir Zhirinovsky of Hitler’s troops on Russia’s border in 1941.

Zhirinovsky is the founder and leader of Russia’s Liberal Democratic Party and a vice chairman of the Russian parliament. In a confrontation with the editor of a German newspaper, Zhirinovsky tells him that German troops again on Russia’s border will provoke a preventive strike after which nothing will remain of German and NATO troops. “The more NATO soldiers in your territory, the faster you are going to die. To the last man. Remove NATO from your territory!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQm8L8d8uDc

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed his frustration with Washington’s reliance on force and coercion instead of diplomacy. It is reckless for Washington to convince Russia that diplomacy is a dead end without promise. When the Russians reach that conclusion, force will confront force.

Indeed Zhirinovsky has already reached that point and perhaps Vladimir Putin also. As I reported, Putin recently dressed down Western presstitutes for their role in fomenting nuclear war. http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2016/07/08/are-you-planning-your-retirement-forget-about-it-you-wont-survive-to-experience-it/ See also: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article45055.htm
Putin has made it clear that Russia will not accept US missile bases in Poland and Romania. He has informed Washington and the imbecilic Polish and Romanian governments. However, as Putin observed, “they don’t hear.”

And here is the referenced article:

Quote
Germany Preparing for War Against Russia

Investigative historian Eric Zuesse is the author, most recently, of They’re Not Even Close: The Democratic vs. Republican Economic Records, 1910-2010, and of CHRIST’S VENTRILOQUISTS: The Event that Created Christianity.

According to a report issued on June 6th in German Economic News (Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, or DWN), the German government is preparing to go to war against Russia, and has in draft-form a Bundeswehr report declaring Russia to be an enemy nation. DWN says: “The Russian secret services have apparently thoroughly studied the paper. In advance of the paper’s publication, a harsh note of protest has been sent to Berlin: The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, Alexei Puschkow, has posted the Twitter message: ‘The decision of the German government declaring Russia to be an enemy shows Merkel’s subservience to the Obama administration.’”

Back on February 17th, DWN had reported that German Chancellor Merkel “will develop a new military doctrine” declaring, “The ‘annexation’ of Crimea by Russia is the basis for military action against Moscow.” Apparently, that prior report will soon be fulfilled.

Not mentioned in the DWN articles — nor anywhere in Western ‘news’ media — is a crucial fact, that the head of America’s ‘private CIA’ firm Stratfor acknowledged only when addressing a Russian-speaking audience: that (in English) the overthrow of Ukraine’s President in Russia’s neighboring nation of Ukraine during February 2014 was “the most blatant coup in history.”  Extensive video documentation exists demonstrating that it was a coup, and even demonstrating that the Obama Administration had selected Ukraine’s post-coup leader 22 days prior to his being formally appointed by the Ukrainian parliament. Furthermore, the only detailed scholarly study of the evidence that has been performed came to the same conclusion — that it was a U.S. coup. The last month before the coup was incredibly violent, with Obama’s hired fascists attacking the government’s security forces brutally: Here is some of the bloodshed from the prior month, on January 21st, then January 22nd, then January 25th. Moreover, immediately after the overthrow, when the EU sent its own investigator into Kiev to report back on how the overthrow had taken place, he too reported that it had been a coup. Subsequently revealed was that the Obama Administration had started preparing the coup inside the U.S. Embassy in Kiev by no later than 1 March 2013 — almost a year prior to the coup. Also, the even earlier preparation for the coup, extending through decades, on the part of CIA-affiliated ‘nonprofit’ or NGO organizations (funded by Western aristocrats and their corporations), laying the groundwork for this coup, has been brilliantly documented at some online sites. None of this information has been widely published — it’s virtually not at all published in the West. Though the potential audience for it might be vast (especially since Western publics pay much of the tab for this operation and yet receive none of the benefits from the resultant looting of Ukraine, which goes all to aristocrats in the U.S. and allied aristocracies), the market in the West for reporting it, is virtually nil, because the market is the West’s news media, and they’ve all (except for a few small ones like this) been taken over by the aristocracy, and serve the aristocracy — not the public (their audiences, whom they’re in business to deceive). The aristocracy’s companies advertise in, and thereby fund, most of those ‘news’ media, and the aristocracy’s governments fund the rest — and the public pays for that, too, not just by being manipulated to vote for the aristocracy’s politicians, but by being taxed to pay what the NGOs and their aristocrats don’t (so the public are buying the weapons etc.). It’s a vast money-funnel from the many, to the few.

Though the transfer of Crimea from Ukraine to Russia is treated by Western ‘news’ media as having been a ‘conquest’ by Russia, and as being Russia’s ‘seizure’ of Crimea, and Russia’s ‘stealing’ Crimea, nothing of the sort is true (and Crimeans had good reason to be terrified of the Obama-coup regime that had just been installed, from which Russia saved Crimeans), but the lie needs to be promulgated in order for the aristocracy’s invasion of Russia to be able to organized and carried out.

Unfortunately, the reason why this U.S coup in Ukraine has still not been reported in the West, is that to make it public to Westerners would jeopardize not only the Western economic sanctions against Russia after Russia accepted the overwhelming decision by Crimeans to separate from the post-coup Ukrainian government, but would also jeopardize the preparations by all of NATO to go to war against Russia: both the sanctions and the invasion would have no basis and no support among Western publics. All of that (the sanctions, and now the pouring of troops and weapons onto and near Russia’s borders for a possible invasion of Russia) would no longer be at all palatable by Western publics, if this history — that it all began by a violent U.S. coup in Ukraine — were to become known before the U.S. and NATO invasion occurs. So it all remains, instead, suppressed in the ‘democratic’ West.

So: please email this article’s URL address (which is immediately above this article), to friends, so as to spread to them the word, that NATO is preparing an invasion of Russia. There’s no way that the ‘news’ media they see are likely to tell them (until it’s already too late).

A repost of a comment from Lada's blog, regarding the recent developments in Ukraine

Quote
Hi Lada, amazing good news are coming from Ukraine: both Ukrainian Orthodox churches buried the hatchet and united their force for three peace marches towards Kiew since last Sunday. They call it: “Crusade for peace in Donbass.” More and more people are participating and they are marching behind the praying and singing monks at the front of the marches holding monstrances. I’ve nothing found except two German articles in the international press including Russia. Here is one of them enriched with Russian/Ukrainian YouTube videos: http://quer-denken.tv/ukrainer-stehen-auf-zigtausende-auf-einem-friedensmarsch-nach-kiew/
I recommend the Google Translator: https://translate.google.ru/

Seems the common people won’t go hungry any longer. The Ukro-Nazis didn’t dare to provoke them so far. The establishment in Kiev seems to be in deep despair.

Here is a picture from the German article with subtext "Participants of freedom march. All Russian agents?"

I wrote about a week ago about this "Cross-bearing pilgrimage" ("Krestnyj hod" - which is different from a crusade "krestovyj pohod"), which started in various parts of Ukraine and is converging on Kiev. There are fears that once the peace march reaches Kiev, some serious provocations may take place.

Here is my translation of the first 2 paragraph's of Rostislav Ishenko's latest analytical article https://cont.ws/post/325432

Quote
A fully overt preparation to overthrow of Poroshenko is taking place in Kiev. The political campaign, which has for six months been sluggish going in the  format of requirements to hold early elections to the Supreme Rada, has intensified and resulted in a joint manifestation of the "Azov" Nazis and the trade unions, disgruntled by the sharp decline in living standards. The trigger of the information campaign was the provocative bombing of Alena Prytula's car that killed Sheremet. Media have reported that the police were conducting an "illegal surveillance" of him. It's a full remake of "Gongadze case" (a Ukrainian journalist, who was kileld on the 17th of September 2000, and that Kuchma's government was allegedly linked to the killing) - down to the smallest details (from Prytula to police surveillance).

The trigger for the street riots may be the currently being prepared by the Nazis attack on a religious procession for peace, coming to Kiev from Svyatogorsk and Pochaev Laurus, and which is anticipated to arrive to the Ukrainian capital next week. Opponents of the Kiev authorities believe that the procession can amass up to 1.5 million of their supporters on the streets of Kiev. Even if these estimates are an exaggeration, we are still talking about tens or even hundreds of thousands of Orthodox anti-fascists, agitating against the war, and that is exactly that legal political alternative to the regime, the appearance of which Poroshenko tried to avoid by prohibiting the completely tame Communist Party of Ukraine, and silencing not even the oppositionists, but simply opposing media and unfolding repression against the anti-fascist activists.

...

And, as nothing in politics is isolated, here is how this ties into the international political situation, from the end of the same article:

Quote
...

But the development of events in Kiev shows that the mechanism of the coup is launched and only a rare stroke of luck or stupidity of the opponents can help Poroshenko to survive. In addition to the facts, already given in the beginning of the article, let me point to the open panic in Kiev political circles and expert coterie. While recently, important and satisfied, they were promising to wait for the collapse of Russia and the division of its territory, in recent weeks the Ukrainian politicians and experts in one voice say, and screaming about the danger of destabilization. And many speak openly about the impending coup. Even the always confident in the wisdom and insightfulness of Poroshenko Vadim Karasev suddenly threw a fit with the requirement to the President is to urgently follow the example of Erdogan and write a letter of repentance to Putin, citing the need for the surrender by the fact that only Russia could save Poroshenko from the coup.

I really doubt that, even if desired, Russia would be able to do this, but the fact that hysteria and a bet on Putin as the last hope of the "Ukrainian democracy" is indicative.

This tells us that Poroshenko's surroundings understand that his overthrow is currently unprofitable for Russia and that the Kremlin will not support the coup. But we have just said, that it's not profitable for the West either. On whom are the coup-makers betting then? They can not expect to survive in complete isolation? Ukraine is not North Korea.

As we know, right now in the American politics there is an active battle between Doves-isolationists, presented the outgoing Democrat Obama and fighting for the presidency Republican Trump, and hawks-interventionists, who bet on Clinton. The isolationists are interested in the maintained stability of Ukraine before the elections in the United States. The interventionists, on the contrary, have nothing against the use of an explosion in the Ukraine as a means of propaganda (criticism of the lack of rigidity of Obama and of "compacent" Trump). In addition, they count on the aggravation of the Ukrainian crisis to drag the United States so deeply into a confrontation with Russia, that any administration would not been able to change the foreign policy.

In fact, the interventionists do not mind to start the official "little war", with the participation of the American and Russian allies, which would make any administration to firmly support the allies, including the risk to get involved in a full-scale war with Russia. The hawks believe that at the last moment Moscow would retreat when faced with nuclear blackmail.

The isolationists control the official decision-making institutions. Therefore, officially the US is trying to establish a constructive dialogue with Russia (Kerry's visit to Moscow). The interventionists work through their many supporters in the State Department and the Pentagon, which, without having the formal authority, nevertheless, promise on behalf of the US, support for any insurgency capable of delivering troubles to Russia.

The attempted coup in Turkey, as well as destabilization of Armenia and Kazakhstan have not yet yielded the desired effect. Ukraine is the last trump of the interventionists. The main thing is the objective conditions for the rebellion have already developed there. It's not necessary to organize it, the rebels do not need help, and US does not need to take any responsibility. They need only to nod in time and everything goes by itself.

The overthrow of Poroshenko does not simply mean the intensification of the collapse of Ukraine, but also the beginning of a bloodbath throughout the country. Maybe only DNR and LVR will probably have it easier, since the post-Poroshenko Makhno (bandits) will have no power to spare. The interventionists have calculated that a deployment of Libyan or Syrian scenarios in Ukraine will not allow the Kremlin to keep on a pause. Russia should be drawn into the conflict, collapsing its decision space into a point, while the United States will have room for maneuver.

In principle, the Kremlin has an asymmetrical response to this scenario, but even it is on the verge of direct military confrontation with the United States. Thus, preparing a rebellion in the Ukraine, with the subsequent expansion of the civil war and transitioning the residues statehood into Makhnovshchina, carries the danger of a major regional conflict, which can escalate into a global one.

Poroshenko tools for localization of the rebellion are extremely limited. Let us hope that he is lucky. The worst-case scenario will not disappear because of that - it will only become postponed. But time is one of the most important strategic factors. Much of the world will change in the first half of 2017. The results of Russian strategic successes in 2016 should start to materialize. The balance of global forces must clearly begin to move in our favour. The conflict is something we need the least now. We're almost on the other shore and it would be a shame to get into the vortex of uncontrollable events at the last moment.

Ukraine has no right to exist as a state
Why? I am curious to hear your reasons.

While the wording may be a bit unfortunate, I guess the following was meant:
Ukraine is an artificial state that was created less than 100 years ago by Lenin, based on the Russian lands of Malorossia  and Novorossia, and later expanded by Stalin with the lands of Galicia and the Transcarpathian Rus. The Ukrainian language is too an artificial construct, a mix of the local Russian dialect with heavy infusion of Polish and German.

For the past 25+ years Ukraine has been actively decrying everything, that has to do with its history and instead trying to substitute it with an artificial construct, while the main ideology of the country has become "hate everything that is Russian". Can a country, based on hatred, survive in the long run?

Now, there is nothing wrong with such artificial states, but for them to be viable one vital condition needs to be observed: the people in such a country must live in mutual respect and take cooperative decisions. Look at Switzerland. All important decisions are made through referendums, allowing this - let's be honest - artificial country to blossom. Ukraine violated this vital condition in 2014, when it started shelling Donbass and killing its residence as a response to their referendum for use of Russian language on par with Ukrainian and for greater autonomy in decision how the money that are earned by the region are spent.

With the first artillery shells that the Ukrainian army and ukro-nazis of Azov let lose on the civilian population of Donbass (and are still at it!), and with the US-installed "government" condoning such actions, Ukraine committed a suicide as a state.

And now a "maidan" attempt in Armenia (again):

URGENT! New Armenia Maidan attempt has begun in Yerevan!

This happened on Sunday, July 17, 2016:

One person was killed when armed men stormed a police station in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on Sunday. Police have surrounded the building and are negotiating with the group, who took several hostages. The Yerevan’s and country’s deputy chiefs of police were taken hostage, among others. The internet in the country is also currently down.

...

Today, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 the siege of the police station and hostage situation still continue.

This is today’s live streaming video from RT’s Ruptly: LIVE outside police station in Yerevan as hostage siege continues

Ruptly is LIVE from Yerevan on the fourth day of a hostage siege on Wednesday, July 20, after an armed group stormed a police station in the Armenian capital and took control of the building on Sunday, July 17. One person was killed and several injured during Sunday’s attack. Soldiers have been dispatched to surround the building and police have continued negotiating with the group.
Armenia’s Deputy Police Chief General Major Vardan Egiazaryan and Yerevan’s Deputy Chief of Police Valeri Osipyan are believed to be among the hostages. Two hostages were reportedly freed on Tuesday, July 19, with seven or eight believed to remain inside. Local media are reporting that the group, which calls itself the ‘Daredevils of Sassoun,’ is demanding the release of jailed opposition leader Jirayr Sefilyan, who was arrested in June for illegal arms trafficking, as well as the release of other political prisoners, including Gevorg Safaryan, Valodia Avedisyan, and Shant Haroutynyan.

This post should be read in conjunction with my previous Deadly Extremist Attack in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The situation in Armenia and Kazakhstan – previously two of the most stable members of Eurasian Union – is escalating. The events in these two former Soviet republics, one located between Central Asia and Siberia and another in Caucasus, mirror each other and are connected. The real target in both cases is the weakening of Eurasian Union, and consequently, weakening of Russia.

The events in Armenia are retaliation for Armenia joining Eurasian Union, coupled with the goal of destabilization of Caucasus and punishment of Russia for successes in Syria, Turkey and the Middle East. Kazakhstan is being punished for being a founding member of EAEU, plus Nazarbayev’s key role in bringing to fruition the reconciliation of Russia and Turkey.

Deadly Extremist Attack in Almaty, Kazakhstan

This is the continuation of attacks in Kazakhstan, which we discussed in Earth Shift Report 9: ATTACK ON KAZAKHSTAN. WHO DESTABILIZES EURASIAN UNION?

On July 17, 2016 armed group of extremists attacked the city center and police station in Almaty. Per reports, 4 policemen are dead.

In Earth Shift Report 9 you’ve watched my video compilation for the previous attacks in Aktobe earlier in June and the attempted color revolution in May. The compilation was composed of raw amateur videos shot by various citizens and then uploaded on YouTube. This new compilation is similar.

The new events confirm that the attempts to destabilize Kazakhstan – one of the important support elements of the Eurasian/global rebalancing system and the support system for Russia, the Global Balancer – will continue.

...

To add, Alma-ata (or Almaty) was previously the capital of Kazah SSR, later the capital was moved further north, closer to Russia and away from the Pakistani border.

Btw, here is a visual example of what such attacks and "springs" lead to. See the difference of lighting level in Syria:

The image is from 2014 publication here and demonstrates 2011 and 2014 levels of light. Most of the civilised, Western,  part of Syria has fallen into darkness, with only a few islands of civilisation, where Assad's government holds fort, remaining.
