Think something is wrong with Moneropool.com
My pending balance has been the same for 3 hours. However, there were a number of blocks found.

i think i'm seeing the same thing ... anyone know the pool op?

And how does a regular person (user) update? Just overwrite the old bitmonerod.exe and simplewallet.exe with new ones? And keep the old stuff like .keys, .txts and wallets in the same directory?

Thats' what i did. Seems to work ok , but I see a ton of this in bitmonerod -

Contributors are attracted to the project because of the quality of the architecture we're continually designing and the quality of the code that is being written.

Is there an overview of milestones archieved, or which are still in front? Some roadmap on the codechanges since the code fork from the former project.

seriously? do you even google, bro?

all that is out there, just google it, dont waste our time, because you look like another fucking sockpuppet.... seriously.. "Is it true?"  LOL...

8646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Warning: GAW-Miners Hosting / Zenminer Cloud / OneMiner.com does not mine LTC on: August 20, 2014, 07:09:45 PM
They would be actually pretty clever to just use your invested money to buy coins and then payout that in dividends. Most of the time they will come out way ahead Wink

I was thinking of that too, but ... Here is where my BTC i spent for a hashlet landed -

https://blockchain.info/address/1KQxLLQNxgn2upd4TtGbtiRdm3f5UWC9k8

Interestingly, If you google that wallet address, you can see it is actively mining on (at least) nicehash and clevermining.

NIcehash - https://nicehash.com/?p=miners&a=0&addr=1KQxLLQNxgn2upd4TtGbtiRdm3f5UWC9k8

clevermining - http://www.clevermining.com/users/1KQxLLQNxgn2upd4TtGbtiRdm3f5UWC9k8

Any one else have any take on this, seems kinda weird, but hey, maybe it means they really are mining after all - i see the balance on clever is like 18 BTC ?

What do you guys think about BitcoinDark? Competition for Monero or just another shitcoin?

I consider all coins that switch to PoS after a brief PoW phase to be shitcoins. This is my personal opinion, not speaking on behalf of the Monero team (in fact I never am unless stated otherwise).

I wholeheartedly concur, after being burnt by many such-branded "Shit-Coins" - as of now, there are only 2 coins for me - BTC & XMR.

Thanks smooth, your presence here is appreciated! Cheesy

You have 151,497.40454164 BTC in your address 1KyNkKBHWA3UfeWpk13oH3bkKML7fA5Sr4!!!!

it belongs to FBI now

Where do you get that info from? the second highest address is DPR's coins, not this one... not sure who owns this one.

Edit - This is the largest wallet address currently out there - see http://ondn.net/

How is Monero doing these days?  had sold all at the peak.

~CfA~

Many are willing to buy in but do not understand that when the turn comes, they may not have the opportunity. The ones who waited in 0.002315 are still waiting to buy in. I would forecast that the definite turn happens next week. My original forecast was Sunday, this week, but today's action was weak and vwap was lower than yesterday, hence the delay.

Technically etc., the coin is doing fine. So I am afraid the boom mentioned in the first paragraph may start happening already this week. (My forecast is still next week.) 0.00334 looks like it is close but will prove to be strong as a wall, making this the last cheap entry.

Why do you believe this?

probably because he really knows his shit? + this... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702140.0

Speculation about drop in network hash rate? Moneropool.com dropped 3 MH?

They might be having network issues or under attack I'm guessing.  Some of my miners are getting timed out going there.

i havent' been able to connect for like 5 hours - in the usa. 'm back to westhash (formerly nicehash for EU countries)... and it's not paying out shit... Sad

how's GPU mining compared to CPU mining for this coin?

Great for AMD users, maybe not so much for nvidia users. I get around 650h/s with 2 AMD r9 270x's... Make about one xmr a day using claymores miner. (Is he rich yet lol?) Tongue

Edit - claymores miner only runs on winblows too.

1XMR/day will not cover electricity alone, why do you mine monero at a loss ?

Sorry i did not mention that my electricity is free right now. Wink

obviousely someone with lots of cash, else they would be here trying to explain,

most likely someone who saw the fall of xmr in graphs lately and attempted a mass buy over the top buy...

but then again not sure who has 6000$ to buy overpriced xmr .

from 0.003 to 0.8 its not possible to be a phat finger, its not a decimal place its a whole number, maybe a glitch where user tought he was on another coin.... and he wansnt...

Thats' what i was thinking. i mean if it was me, i'd never come here and admit i went full retard on a trade... i'd go cry and bury my head right?
8660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 05, 2014, 01:36:46 AM
Guys, can someone explain to me what happened on HitBTC earlier today that made the chart go crazy?
Someone realy bought all the way up to 0.08???

EDIT:
It seems so... Order book shows all trades up to 0.08... so wierd, why would someone do that...?

Oooops. Someone made a MAJOR mistake surely. 163 Moneros for 10 BTC  Shocked

I'm waiting for an official explanation.

Just curious, but from whom?

Well seeing as this is either a serious bug in their system or straight up fraud I expect hitbtc to provide an explanation.

Yep. The entire transaction was about 623 XMR in all. There's no way that was the entire order book from ~470k to 8000k.

Understood. but seriously. if you fat-finger a decimal point in a drunken trade, is the exchange liable for your fubar? Just curious/sayin/wonderin... Wink
This has nothing to do with a fat fingered user mistake. Either the exchange is putting up fake bids/asks that will vanish exactly when market order is executed thus leaving only the thin order book of legit orders to match with and once executed the fake bids/asks immediately are placed back (this would be fraud). The other alternative is that there is a bug of some sort in the matching engine. E.g a limit order set at 0.08 executes at that price instead of lower asks like it's supposed to. I'm not sure which it is, so it will be interesting to hear their response.

Last I checked (few hours ago) it took more than 100000 XMR to break 0.005. The volume is far less. There is no indication of this being legit.

One possible explanation could have been dark orders, but from what I can tell hitbtc don't have that. In other words, trades should be matched against the order book, and it's way too thick for a trade like this.

Ah ok, thanks i didn't read it that way, thanks for schooling me, and sorry to waste time! Smiley
