sig sux, it's annoying and should be banned :/

AM@.25, I'm buying Smiley

I'm starting to envision legions of AM shareholders (I know it's capped at 30 but humour me here) posting in the AM thread - constructive posts only of course - to each other, all with the same sigs, in order to make up their 50 post count.

To be honest I don't know if I would count this post as one of my 50, but - here we go!

I'm pretty sure this program wont even last a month before they sell all the chips.  If it does, those BE200 chips are going to be worth less... or worthless.  I wonder if I'll get my 0.05 BTC if the banner program only goes for 25 days?

You said you don't want to be restricted so your not getting the BTC.   Then you posted "I'm in", and modified your sig so don't expect to get anything.  You should be fined 0.05 BTC if anything, for trolling.

Oh I'm in alright.  My banner's getting more attention than the default and my share value increase will make up for the loss of the .05 BTC I may not receive.  I like your idea for trolling fines... Now pay up!
8702  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 16, 2014, 05:04:56 PM
although AM just started pricing in BTC. this drop will hurt profits a lot, unless prices are rebased.
they produce BTC, it's natural to price them in BTC, actually.

Its a complex situation as AM has millions of fiat on it's books. So a decrease in BTC price could result in an increase in btc price.

That's more than complex; it is illogical.  The price is the price... Can't be more and less at the same time.
Careful.... MichaelBliss will have you fined too.
8703  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 16, 2014, 02:21:13 PM
4 units (batch 1, first ~15min) arrived today and setup was a breeze.

gorgeous case, makes it feel like a solid consumer-grade product compared to the S1.

miner 1: 237.5MHz     477GH    (2.5hrs)
miner 2: 225MHz        417GH    (2hrs)
miner 3: 225MHz        450GH    (2hrs)
miner 2: 225MHz        413GH    (2hrs)

so far overclocking is a total grab-bag. looks like 2 of the miners lose hashrate at even a slight overclock, and the other has negligible improvement over stock. miner 1 will go for 250mhz tomorrow

I havent seen the invoice yet, but presumably it was about $400 CAD to import and receive all 4 miners.

Was that $400 just for the HST or did you have to pay duty on the equipment as well?
8704  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advice for new users regarding CLOUD MINING on: August 16, 2014, 02:08:54 PM
For those of you who want proof to see how desperate these companies are, they literally pay people to come onto these boards and post spam supporting them.  Here are users I and others have identified as shill posters.  Click on the user profile and look at their post history.  If 1/2 their posts are promoting a company they are paid shills most likely.  When was the last time you went around telling people how awesome liquid plumber cleaned you pipers  Grin

drawer - new user and 3/4th of his posts are about his supported company
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=732923.msg8309461#msg8309461

testerman - posted the same text in 7 different threads promoting PBMining

Thanks for the informative post on cloudmining.  I have and will continue to avoid it.
One thing I would like to mention is that you have an ad and a link in your sig (as do I) for which you are being compensated.  Like it or not, we might be no better than the "shill" posters you have identified.

Has anyone received a Neptune refund lately.  If so, how long did it take?   I keep getting the runaround.
Over 80 days and counting...

Hi Mike,

BTC refunds will not be sent instantly, there are procedures that we must follow before we issue refunds.
Unfortunately we cannot give you a specific date of when your refund will be processed, however, we can assure you that we will process all refunds requested according to the date and time the request was made and issue the refund as soon as physically possible.

 Best regards
 Med vänlig hälsning

Such selling urgency, especially in current situation, seems suspicious - why to accept 0.255 if you could easily get at least 0.28? Oh, and 796.com didn't even budge.

This could have been malicious use of someones account.
lotss of BTC sell movement right now maybe they knew something *tinfoilhat*

FC needed some cash to buy shipping boxes.

Shocked Somebody can't wait for the divs

The shareholder may have needed the BTC, otherwise this is quite the risky move on the eve of launch. Never a dull day in crypto securities folks!

Ah ah aha! Constructive posts only or you'll lose the reward Wink Tsk tsk
8710  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 15, 2014, 03:48:53 PM
I'm in (but I'll have to stop trolling Tongue)

I'm in too but I think I can forgo the .05BTC per month and maintain my freedom of speech.  It would take at least .055BTC to shut me up! Wink

You won't get anyone without an escrow. Unless you pay in advance Tongue

Wrong!  I'm in without escrow Wink

Just got a mail inform Tity status update, knc mentioned they are now waiting chips arrive, so which means at least another month to go, and plus shipping batch 1 Tity owner may hashing on October, this is the most idea predict, any who got other idea?

yeah this is most likely...they will slip a few units out before sept 31st to 'beat the deadline' and we will get our units in Oct more/less depending on your order number

wonder what alts will be at then? litecoin 2c? (my timing is as usual perfect on purchases...but 180 degrees in the wrong direction..its a gift!)

well I did get a BFL refund and an Alpha refund....unheard of in both cases...you can only be so dumb and lucky..so I'm back to dumb ...lucky has left the building.

Actually, KNC is the one who most trustable on the market, that is why I give my money them, even late but still better than nothing.

  Give your head a shake.

The Facebook page is a Facebook "fan" page, not an officially run page.

Lots of misinformation on that reddit thread...

Yeah, according to Spoondoolie, most of that new hashing power belongs to BitFury.

Why isn't that coming from Bitfury?! Are they not proud of their accomplishment?  I don't get it.

Yeah I finally read through it all.  One guy actually referred people here for information! Smiley  It's strange how none of the large bitcoin miner manufacturers are releasing any information.  In fact it is strangely quiet.
8716  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 12, 2014, 03:45:59 AM
Look at this graph, how the hash rate has increased over the last week(s)!!! The new difficulty will skyrocket again! I wouldn't be surprised if this was ASICMiner's gear coming online!
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty
They're speculating about this on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2d91pu/miners_are_in_for_a_world_of_hurt_we_will/.

Interesting.  It says that according to AM's facebook page, nobody is buying their chips so they're going to plug them all in - 60 PH worth!  Wow.  Imaging the divs Wink  Does AM even have a facebook page yet though?
8717  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 11, 2014, 04:58:13 PM
Wow guys, last night I dreamed friedcat was about to test the first gen 4 BE300 sample and it turned out that it had problems even worse than the BE200 power draw problems! I'm a bit shaky right now and don't know if I should use this information to base my trading decisions on. But I did want to warn you guys.
edit: gen4

Only a competitor would call that a dream!  If you were truly an AM shareholder, you would have called it a nightmare Wink
BUSTED!  Who is this? Sam Cole? Guy Corem?  Come on, fess up!
8718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 09, 2014, 01:48:50 AM
Just like the replies for the refund requests were always processed as fast as possible or something like that. Copy paste company. They should change the name from KnC to CnP!

CnP! Good one Wink
At least we can still find the humour in all of this.

I would like to be a Chinese-English translator to get the information about mining-industry in China, especially about Asicminer. Donation are welcome  Grin

Would the donations be for language lessons?  Wo buda hui shuo niminde hwa Wink

I meant if they were 18, but since everyone wants to be assholes and chastise instead of help...
Here's the next help I offer anyone in here:

The pessimistic, troll-infested, non-helping, bash-box is all yours, enjoy.

Your offer of help is reminiscent of my KNC refund.  I may have to hop a flight to Sweden and protest outside of headquarters soon.
Anybody want to say how long they've been waiting?
