Why don you contribute something instead of sitting here typing in bold letters. What a joke-- I'm distancing myself from you, and I hope BlackCoin follows suit. You have no capacity to lead or develop, the last 50 pages of this forum can be put in to a book titled "How to not act like a businessman, and lose respect while doing it."

WOW...are you serious? I couldn't let this go unanswered. Attempts at trying to change history doesn't work when there is proof. I know I make you guys look bad but I also make you money so just say thank you and move on.

Here is what I have done for BC:

Not saying you are wrong Iconic, but to paint this as a "I got attacked for absolutely no reason" is a little bit disingenuous, you made numerous statements attacking me and my team personally (I have never said a single thing about you in a public forum.) You have called me and my team (and I am not talking about the foundation) everything from incompetent to downright useless. It's hard not to take these attacks personally when I spend 18 hours days glued to my laptop developing and working directly with the community. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I've sunk from savings in to development with out asking for donations once.

I think if you want to save any face, you should apologize to the community for your antics, as well as the hard working development team and community team. Like I said I live in NYC as well, if you want to meet face to face to discuss any of your concerns, I would more than willing to meet you as early as Monday. I would like you to tell me directly to my face, exactly what it is you think I'm doing wrong.

I for one would like to see a genuine reply from you, not one talking about yourself, or your products, or your interests, how do you plan to help move the crypto currency revolution forward?

Let me make this clear I still think you and the team are incompetent and cannot run a multi-million dollar project. My position remains the same, and after the past 48 hours I finally realized why we are not where we should be. Hours were spent spamming this forum, but no one from your team thought you should use that energy to spam BlackCoin news all over the net? Spamming FUD about me here made us no money, but spamming news about BlackCoin over the net might have made us all some money. Useless energy was spent making a parody of me, but that same energy could have been spent making a video about BlackCoin.

In regards to the multi-pool anything you have done has not only been for this community, you do profit from the pool as I do from the BlackCoin cards.

In ALL my comments and occasional "rants", I NEVER accused someone of being a fraud or posted altered information to try and discredit at person. Also, I keep hearing this narrative of me "attacking" people. Please post an instance of me "attacking" someone when I wasn't responding to something egregious. Basically I am claiming I never just "attack" someone out of the blue.

I keep reading how hard this team works. Working hard doesn't also mean working smart. You guys are actually making the point I have been making the past week. If you are working as hard as you claim, and your efforts are falling short on many fronts, then obviously something is being done wrong. I will not allow you or anyone else to change the facts of the past two months. We are not where we are at because of the efforts of the dev team or the Foundation, we are here because of the efforts of this community. So if you are expecting an apology from me, you will have a better chance waiting for Mint to reach $1.00.

Lastly, my "apology" to this community will be making everyone money from my efforts. So lets just walk back to our respective corners and get back to the business or making money. I will not be commenting on this anymore...

Personal Attacks & Juvenile Videos

So even after the personal letters shared between SoepKip and I, there are still people who would like to continue the personal attacks. When people who have been strong critics of me begin to "defend" me, you know you have reached a low point and have crossed some serious lines. If you spent just 40% of the time you have been using to focus on me, and use that energy on promoting BlackCoin, we would probably be trading around $1.00 by now. When people organize a smear campaign to discredit one person, it makes others start to wonder "why are they doing this"?

What we have witnessed in the past 48 hours is pure unadulterated politics played out on a public forum. If I had ignored the accusations and smear posts, people would have started to wonder "Why isn't IconicExpert addressing these accusations"? "Is what they are saying is true"? However, when I do respond to the accusations and attacks they just continue to do it, while innocent people on the sideline watch in horror. So either way I will always be forced with tough decisions on how I should handle such situations.

What I do find comical is you mistakenly think these kind of tactics work on a man like me. Did you think I was actually going to "give up"? After two months you apparently haven't  been paying attention. If every time I was faced with trials & tribulations and I just gave up, I would not be as successful as I am. All you have accomplished is make people on the sidelines question your motives behind this smear campaign, and made me realize how much of a threat you perceive me. People would be more inclined to "turn against" me if they saw results from your promotional and outreach efforts.

Please pick one narrative and stick with it. Am I a greedy shark with self serving motives, or am I egotistical attention "whore" wanting all the attention? Let me make it easy for you so your messaging can be concise. I am a businessman that enjoys making money, but more importantly I also like to make history. What drives me is the challenge of taking a young idea and turning it into something amazing, while profiting in the process. So if I thought hiring a PR firm would make BlackCoin price and popularity skyrocket I would support it 100% no matter whose idea it is. Do not be mistaken, I am here to make money, I am not here for fun. I support any good idea that will make me money.

With the help of this community my projects and efforts have already made history for BlackCoin on more than one occasion in a span of just two months. So ask yourself this: "What can Iconic Expert do in a span of a year"?  Do I think I with  the help of this community I can take BlackCoin to #1 YES.

So let's stop with  the BS childish bickering and let's make money. If I am wrong and the PR firm approach works well we all will benefit. If the Wall Street event has the effect I believe it will, once again we all will benefit.

I am just concern about the negative effects of these videos on blackcoin

They both are very personal and to mention my wife in the video is low, but overall I laughed because someone thought I was important enough to parody.

Response To SoepKip

SoepKip thank you for your letter. I have refrained from singling you out because I do believe you want to see BlackCoin succeed and you do work hard. We all have our talents and limitation including me, but for BlackCoin to reach #1 you will need experienced outside help and a PR firm is not the answer.

I sincerely want to believe you are honest man and a gentleman. We both know the day before I announced the Wall Street event I asked you "did you speak to the investors about the event"? Your response to me was "you go ask them it is your event". I was shocked by your response because you previously insisted you wanted to talk with the investors about the event. You then replied back and said "I am talking to them now". I told you if it is a problem I would just go to the community and raise the funds that way, and I never heard from you again.  Since IRC you have not tried to PM me. Did I just write the truth?

My position on Gritt remains the same. I think his comment was calculated and unprofessional. I also think the fact he is/was trying to create his own BC cards before I had shipped mine out was sneaky and underhanded. I think he is a ticking time bomb.

In regards to the Vault Of Satoshi I want to sincerely believe you have a lot on your mind and you do not remember the timeline. Before April 12th you and I discussed on IRC my plans for BC. I told you for this to work we needed a Fiat to BC exchange in North America ASAP. I asked you to contact CoinDesk and Vault Of Statosh and your response to me was "it is too early for that". I said you were probably right about CoinDesk but Mint was on Vault Of Satoshi and they are not better than us. I then told you I will personally email Vault Of Satoshi and you replied with a "smiley face". I then told you I would wait for awhile and then ask the community to start emailing and Tweeting Vault Of Satoshi. All one has to do is look at my previous posts to verify this. Now I am not claiming someone else didn't directly reach out to Vault Of Satoshi as well, but that doesn't mean I didn't reach out first. I was very public about this community nagging Vault Of Satoshi, and even Vault Of Satoshi's own Tweet implied they were adding BC because of the "harassment" from the community. Did you and I have this conversation via IRC?

Until today I thought you were a gentleman and I still would like to believe you are. You are one of the few people here that know my true identity. You have seen pics of me and my wife and at least one of my daughters. You know what I do for a living and you know everything I posted here about myself is true. However, when people were coming here to this forum lobbing personal attacks at me, you could have at anytime said "Hey I do not agree all the time with Iconic but what he is saying is true. He does not live in India, and he does have a wife". You could have also vouched for my integrity. When the group of "investors" asked me to do the Meet Black campaign and everyone was brainstorming, someone suggested I should say to the community "members from Mint contacted me", and what did I say? "I said no I will not lie to the community come up with a better soultion".

Yes I am fortunate to live well and I will be contributing funds to the event. But you act as if the time spent planning and organizing this event is not contributions in itself. You have no idea how many personal man hours have already been spent to get to this point. So to suggest that I am letting everyone else pay for the event and me and my wife are just sitting back doing nothing is shameful. Who will be auditioning these girls? Who will be ordering the t-shirts? Who will be ordering the cards? Who will be organizing logistics? Who will be prepping the girls for the event? All of this takes time, and time is money

With all due respect to you and the team, you are paying someone else $30,000 to do what me and my wife are doing now. The only difference is we are not just handing the community a plan, we are actually planning and organizing the actual event. So that is the difference between the two.

Now I will see what kind of man you are by your response. If you verify what I am saying is true then I will know at least you are a honest man.

Hi all

First off to Iconic, great work bud on the BlackCoin Cards, I can already see them being a huge success for BlackCoin and for crypto's in general. I had some free time today so I used it to redesign the BlackCoin Card GUI. It's just a concept, but I think it looks quite a bit better than the current GUI. Let me know your thoughts on it.

Redesigned GUI

Original GUI

For those of you who'd like to know. I've just opened a web and logo design service here on Bitcointalk : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590322.0 and I'm allowing people to pay in BlackCoin.

My rates are :
700 BC for a Logo
2200 BC for a Website

Regards,
Wulfcastle

HI,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I read your PM but I was very busy and I wanted to respond in detail. The GUI is constantly being tweaked and it will continue to be tweaked weeks and months ahead. When designing a GUI you have to take your core demographic into consideration when deciding layout, font size, color, element location...etc..etc. Unfortunately the wallet software has to appeal to a diverse demographic and finding the right balance will take tweaking. There has to be a balance between beauty and functionality.

Your design is very nice but it is not a practical design for my development environment. When you design GUIs for developers you have to know the limitations of the tools being used to create the software, and you have to have a general knowledge of GUI design from a developers point of view. Also, you always have to take the end-user into consideration when designing GUIs. What appeals to a young techie will not appeal to someone in their late 50s that most likely use corrective lenses and cannot read computer font well.

Thank you and keep up the good work!
give me now my 1000BC Tongue for efford KrokieRocks
Do you like that new one or old GUI ? For me new look much better.
I'm glad to see you like my concept GUI  Smiley

I like it too and in between posts I have been adapting the app to it. I can't do everything for the reasons I mentioned before...but I can do some Smiley

If they want to be in charge of this, I believe resumes and interviewing for the job is in order. Not just promoting themselves cause they have been here longer or have more coins, or are in IRC the most.

+1 +1 +1

Exactly my thoughts.

No, Blackcoin shouldn't be seen as a business.  It's centralization, it doesn't work for crypto-currency.
It looks too much like a pyramid, and Blackcoin already has that reputation.
What any crypto-currency needs is an open-source platform which can easily be implemented in Blackcoin based applications.
The job of the dev team is to encourage integration through good communication and trustable software with integrated functions to speed up the production time of third parties.
The Blackcoin card is a good example of that, it is a good thing, even if it's version 1.0.  I actually fucking love that stuff.  Although i always hope on a free open-source project.
I have the feeling the common social dynamics of this community are very impatient and too fast.
This coin is 2 months old or something, what did you expect, these are freelancer, students and enthusiasts.  Let it thrive in open-source until you have a huge user-basis with a lot of applications, liquidity is healthy.
talking with big letter and colors
woooooohoow
But if promises blinded you, you should only blame yourself.

I am sure my project will spark an open source project soon.

Yes i know.  But these are questions worth answering.  Doesn't matter if i can wipe it clean, if your gonna sell it you should be able to back that up with how it's being secured for the average person.  Not tell me to just wipe it.  If your not going to give any info on these questions then please just don't answer.  Not looking for a flame war just want some basic answers.

Same can be said for any software/USB stick/CD et al, purchased from ebay etc.
yet you just plug them in anyway.

As always, AV AV AV. If you are hacked its usually the stupidity of the user that has allowed it in the first place.
Diligence should be the most basic concept of PC security - sadly it is stupidity.

Yeah that software doesn't hold my money...  Anyone who buys software or usb's from ebay and just plugs it in is an idiot plain and simple, especially if it has to do with currency.  It's funny how you bring up security of something and automatically it's "fud".  Your praise someone from a new account "Oh thanks man your awesome too".  Double standard.  You guys bring up how bc is not being ran like a corporation.  Im pretty sure a corporation would answer basic security questions for their users.  You guys act like im asking rhetorical questions. wtf?

I answered you - you need AV and should know how to protect yourself.
Who is to say what is on the USB - would i trust IE and just plug it in without making sure I am protected first ?  fuck no way, as I would not from anyone on any forums I got anythign from. Infact I don't buy them for that reason.
Anyone that does  just plug one into the PC without giving a thought for security first is stupid - period.

Right...you should always use AV no matter what.

Im not spreading fud.  It's a concern, not because i think you did anything wrong.  Just from a security standpoint.  Ive been reading on the forums a long time.  Not an attack.  Just wondering what security is put in place.  As i have not really seen any info on it.

If i understood it correctly IEs software does "just" launch the official wallet from the menu, the other functions are part of the "card software".
So there should not be any security loss/issue at all.

Yes.

I'd like to know not as a bash but because the idea of crypto is knowing how/where your money is stored.
Is the wallet segregated from the rest of the software interaction?
How is the auto updating done, does it ask the user if it wants to update or does it just do it without input?
What about possible corrupted firmware,  does it protect the wallet? what happens.
Could we have the source opened for an update to select developers to look at before release?

Other questions i have but this to start with.

Things i would like to know, and things i think would make the card better if known.

You do not have to use the software on the card. You can wipe it clean and use whatever software you like. This has been discussed in detailed, use the search function.

IE Why do you keep responding to these people? Honestly.. like you said and people here know you have done good things for BC. New trolls aren't going to actually be able to discredit you.. You don't need to respond to each and every new troll.. And what's worse is that you keep insinuating that the foundation is somehow involved, like we are actively against you... Why would we be against someone who is helping spread the word of BC?

I don't understand you right now.. I had been working on the PR firm thing for a long time and really looked forward to bringing it to the forums and the community...

Let's collectively move on.

This community is very small, and thankfully there are honest people who have no problem sending me "transcripts". When someone takes a shot across my bow I make sure I sink their ship. So the little games that are being played will not compared to what my response will be.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 03, 2014, 08:47:17 PM
If everyone's blackcoin card can be updated on the fly when hooked to a computer.  what keeps our wallet safe on the blackcoin card?  You or someone else if hacked into could upload firmware that can compromise the software. skim or take all bc.

What guarantee's do we have without the software and firmware open source, as to what we are actually putting our bc into, and whether or not their might be bugs etc.

I didn't want to bring this up now, but I've only heard it mentioned once.  It's a very legitimate concern.  Even if you IE don't update the software with malware seems like a juicy target to hit for others looking in.  Firmware should be manually downloaded and updated by the user.  No auto update.  Routers require you to download your firmware upload, this should too.  I know routers and bc card apples and oranges, but i believe the concept the same.

I personally believe a device like this should not even connect to the internet(besides downloading the blockchain).  But that is debatable since it's function is beyond a fancy wallet.  Though most other functions is not really requirements.

Anyways

So lets see...

First I was from India and I proved I wasn't..so that didn't work.
Then I posted multiple press release projects, but the person who posted it doesn't write anything like me....that didn't work.
Now someone with a new account that says it was only brought up once before (He is new mind you) wants to spread FUD about that cards....

Ok so I guess we are playing dirty now...no problem...

Maybe you need to read the posts again, his english is fine and to me seems very similar to IE's writing style.

If i'm wrong in my assumption then i'm sorry. I merely was pointing out something that I noticed!

Just stop. No one who has been here longer than a week believes that is me.  All you are doing is making a fool out of yourself. But if the plan is to discredit me...then it seems I have become a threat to someone... Lips sealed
