881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies? on: January 28, 2019, 06:25:16 PM
Lol, celebrities are usually corrupted and greedy, how can you trust any of them? Smiley
They will dance on your table for 10K dollars. Ok, if they are famous, this would be 100K. Celebrities involved in ICO advertising just show you that either they are familiar with some team members or the team has some cash to spend on such an celebrity advertisement. You shouldn't trust here, just make some conclusions.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we stop promoting scam project? on: January 28, 2019, 06:17:58 PM
Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

Projects are able to pay huge amounts of money for simple tasks just because they are giving us their tokens - money from nothing. So, if they pay bitcoins or ether these sums will be pathetic. You should choose between low guaranteed profits and high risks with huge winnings.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: January 28, 2019, 06:14:03 PM
After participating in several ICO project, which turned out to be scam projects. My hard earned money disappeared in to thin air, with no way to trace or recover my money back. I had to act like it never happened to get it off my mind and move on.

Are ICOs really dead and do you still invest in ICO projects?

It's not the best time to invest in ICOs now. And so was the whole last year...
So, there is nothing to be surprised with here. I am sure that some of your projects will survive and show some growth in 2019, just hang on Smiley
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: January 27, 2019, 05:41:20 PM
Hey guys I have different criterias:
1) ICO rating site
2) Design of the site (if it is too primitive and not unique don’t even pay attention)
3) Social Networks and activity there.
4) Number of subscribers in telegram
5) Team must pass KYC test on ICO Bench
6) Huge partners. For example exchanges
7) Hype
What do you think is this enough, or you recommend to add something?

You forgot about bounty conditions and the number of bounty hunters involved. Also you can check the total funds collected - maybe some ICO rounds have already passed. Bounty manager is also important thing to keep in mind.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If ICO Fails, Then what happen next? on: January 27, 2019, 05:33:21 PM
There are many ICO is running at the same time. Maximum ICO can't be success. So, if I invest in any ICO and if they can't be success then what will happen with my money? Will they give me back me my money or not? I am so confused. So, please kindly inform me.

Thank You Everyone.

Well, there are several options here Smiley

1) They return your money.
2) They prolong crowdsale.
3) They say it would be enough and try to launch the project with the sum they've managed to collect.
4) They scam people and disappear with your money.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency has come to stay on: January 26, 2019, 05:21:27 PM
There is no gainsaying that cryptocurrency is one of the strongest investment platform in the digital world.
Despite all the agitations, media attacks, government attacks and attacks from groups and individuals, yet it is still going.
If cryptocurrency will end, it ought to have ended long before now and would not have survive to see year 2019.
One of the strongest points of cryptocurrency, apart from the technology, is the community.
Instead of the community reducing, it is increasing, because more people are becoming aware of cryptocurrency allover the world. Even if some seem to have taken a break, more people are being added.

Crypto market boom looks very similar to dotcom fever in my opinion. Same situation, same promises, same greedy people all around. Probably we will see another huge wave soon and then most of the projects will die. But some kind of "CryptoGoogle" might have been already created Wink
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Real Risks of Crypto? on: January 26, 2019, 05:17:24 PM
What do you guys think are the real risks of cryptocurrencies and are there any ways of overcoming them? I've attached a good article below that covers a lot of the solutions to what people consider problematic at the moment, and it essentially says most of the risks are down to the user and not the technology (i.e. lack of education). Am interested to hear your opinions.

The interesting article: https://medium.com/@DDhopn/what-are-the-risks-of-buying-crypto-ff1c991a6c83

P.S. I am heavily involved in crypto, just keeping an open mind

One should remember about the 51% attack risks. As we understand now, this is possible enough to be always kept in mind. I still don't understand how to avoid it if we are talking about altcoins... This looks very serious.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I buy bitcoin or litecoin? on: January 26, 2019, 05:12:45 PM
Based on what is currently happening what do you think I'm better doing, I have about $150 to spend

Buying bitcoin or litecoin?

Thanks

Buy both, why asking about this Smiley
Create a portfolio and manage it as it grows. If bitcoin grows first you will be able to buy some other coins after its growth. If litecoin will be first to grow, sell it and buy something else.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from Japan on: January 25, 2019, 01:22:54 PM
We know that Asia is crypto-mad, and this article shows that Japan may well lead the way to mass-adoption through retail payments.

https://cryptomenow.com/why-japan-could-become-first-major-crypto-market-to-see-mainstream-merchant-adoption/

I think the market will begin to grow fast after some encouraging news from Asia. In Spring or Summer. Something like government adoption and integration of crypto. China probably, or Korea, or some awesome news from Japan Smiley
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: January 25, 2019, 01:19:13 PM
Now the mainstream currency, BTC-ETH, has the upper hand, and they have the strength and technology, but the future is likely to be a new project to replace them more mature and more comprehensive. What do you think it would be?

Bitcoin will remain to be crypto gold - don't think anything can change its position. Ethereum can easily lose its positions and some new platform will be able to replace it in future. EOS maybe or NEO... or XLM even.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency on: January 24, 2019, 07:47:31 PM
Wouldnt it be nice if each country in the world issues its own crypto currency just like they issue sovereign bonds and they raise funds from there to fund projects in their economies. I know Venezuela tried to do something like that, but the project was already being killed by the governments opponents before it took off.  Now lets assume that didnt happen could it be a good way to create some form of sanity and confidence in the crypto world.

The idea of national cryptocurrencies looks good imho, and I think we will see something in this way in the nearest future. But the technology itself is quite raw still, governments don't want to take the risk now and try this with their people. Maybe we this will be possible in 3-5 years.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO reached hard cap - 50 MILLION- not listed in an exchange - SCAM? on: January 24, 2019, 07:42:51 PM
I have join a project to which it claims that the team was able to collect 50M in USD but until now they could not be able to list the token in an exchange. Their reason was the team were preparing the platform for almost 3 mos. now. I am starting to believe it when they show something great after sponsoring a certain event to which the name of the project was being flashed in the screen. Is it possible that the team is telling the truth? They want to bring a project with demand so that the token will not be undervalued. What do you think of this project scam or not? I could not name the project for now to protect their reputation.

Well, this can be truth, many teams are waiting with listings now. They are afraid that their token price would be dumped because the market phase is not very bullish lately Smiley Delaying listings now is normal I think.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: January 23, 2019, 03:03:07 PM
Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?

Lack of regulation gives us bigger salaries if we are talking about bounty campaigns. There should be some balance between regulated safe job and risky business here. Regulation usually decreases potential profit. Less risk - less income.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding a bag of useless illiquid tokens like me? on: January 23, 2019, 02:57:32 PM
I am thinking of creating some kind of an instrument to be able to track all these useless coins. Now I see this like a telegram bot that tracks all the coins on your MyEtherWallet and maybe some others too. It tracks pumps, listings and lets you track your portfolio easily and decide when and where to sell you coins. THis kind of an instrument is vital nowadays imho.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing ETH with BTC!!!!!!!! on: January 22, 2019, 06:23:44 PM
Since I joined the cryptocurrency world and even this forum I have seen something that people always do that I think its not the right way. People always compaire ETH with BTC telling us that ETH is the best cryptocurrency. I really doubt that because looking at these two coins, although they are all blockchain based currencies but to me BTC is doing far better than ETH. BTC was created before ETH but look at the performances and judge it yourself. I really do not want to talk much about this issue. Guys what do think about what I am arguing about?

Stop being surprised with this, bro Smiley .People are comparing superman and spiderman when they are children, then this changes to their girlfriends' boobs and then - different cryptos Smiley That's a human nature.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help - bounty problem on: January 22, 2019, 06:19:46 PM
Hello guys,

I really need help, last year I found amazing bounty program (Pigzby or Wollo coin), I submited my work on beta.bounty0x.io and I earned more than 40k coins. My submisions was approved. Now I see the Wollo token is alive on exchange, but the problem is that is a Stellar based coin and I didn`t have added my Stellar adress on beta.bounty0x.io. Now I added addres and my questions is can I get coins now or that is finished story.

Also how will I send that coins on exchange. I know for ETH based tokens with metamask, but what is procedure with Stellar based tokens? I made wallet on Astral online wallet.

Thanks a lot.

I would advise you to write to support of bounty0x platform and ask them for help with this issue. Why are people always trying to talk about their problems everywhere: on forums, chats, their neighbours' kitchen... instead of just asking official support for help? Smiley
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hope for hodlers on: January 22, 2019, 06:14:33 PM
To my best understanding
Presently, the crypto currency market is a game of who buys or accumulates most tokens or bitcoins

The Government and The  big men wants to buy several of it and companies want to be a part of it as well

If we see BTC at $3k, I won't be surprised but when the moon and bull runs start..

It will be as eagles soar on the sky high

Bitcoin and other crypto are like pump station for governments and big players. The use it to drain people's money. Soon the pump phase will start again and we will see all the altcoins grow again Smiley
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC on: January 21, 2019, 03:00:36 PM
KYC can be complicated and at times unnecessary especially for small airdrops.
What do you think?

I think KYC is implemented in airdrops/bounties in two cases: regulatory issues (when ICO team can't properly explain all the scheme to regulators) and verification issues (when KYC is the easiest way to filter bots and multiaccounts). Agree that this looks stupid when we are talking about airdrops, but it's absolutely normal nowadays unfortunately.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fighting for bounty hunters right on: January 21, 2019, 02:57:09 PM
Hello friends,

Do you know of any organization in which bounty hunters can actually report in order to claim their right?, To be paid off their earning in which the campaign is holding.
I participated in a bounty campaign for several months and now when it is actually time for distribution now they changes the rule and actually introduce new rules which lead to the disqualification of more than 95% of the bounty participants. Which is actually too painful.

Quite an ordinary situation, bro, sad but true Sad
Crypto sphere in a whole and bounty campaigns especially are like Wild West gold fever. Vast opportunities, huge risks, no regulation. You should accept these rules and go further.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme on: January 21, 2019, 02:50:33 PM
I don't know if I am the only one that is not worried about the market and feel it is doing fine?
I see different posts about people saying different things like "it is the end", "crypto is dead", "I lost it all, it is time to get out" blah blah blah and I get pissed off. Most people don't do a proper research before FOMO into crypto and confuse it for a get rich quick scheme.
I definitely know the bull run will come but I am not expecting it soon. We just saw a massive bull run about 13 months ago and I think it is too early too see another, because there needs to be room for market correction, which is presently happening. Last year the price of Btc increased by about 1000% and has only reduced by about 600% which means there is still room for more correction. So do away with the fantasy that bull run will occur every year to get you rich and face the reality.

It is only the weak hands that are complaining while the wise are taking advantage of the market to get good altcoins at cheap prices.

What is you thought?Huh

You are definitely right here, one should understand that markets are "breathing' and this bear phase is not surprising at all. Crypto market breathes heavily cause it's new and very volatile. So, just hold on and watch this process, there will be another deep breathe soon Wink
