We know that Asia is crypto-mad, and this article shows that Japan may well lead the way to mass-adoption through retail payments.

Great! This will greatly help crypto in the near future. The world is gradually expanding its arms towards it.

I have heard that nearly one-third of Japanese own cryptocurrencies worth 5,000USD! So people in Japan really could start the wave of massive adoption.

Great news! Also I heard that Samsung implemented crypto wallet for Ethereum into its new smartphone Galaxy S10! That sounds awesome! Mass adoption is coming and even bad news such as ETF withdrew doesn't effect the market. I'm sure that price will start rising very soon!

It is overall a good news, and it could be that the much needed push for a bullish run comes from Japan. But the post doesn't say much about the details of retail payments. For example it says that payments in BTC will be one of the option, but it is not clear if other crypto currencies will be supported. It is also not clear how they will deal with the volatility, because so far the volatility has been the major obstacle for merchant payments.

Things I like about Japan is their openness to new technology and their appetite for risk, we all know, no risk, no reward. Unlike US were regulations seems to be stiffing the adoption of new technology and is pushing talents away for the market japan is more open to new tech with softer regulations

It is good news, and a small step on the long road to mass adoption. It may not have much impact on prices by itself, but those who are starting to lose belief in crypto can take encouragement from this sort of news. Give it time and crypto will be huge, and a part of everyday life.

Yeah that is great news, i do think that even in the massive bull run of late 2017-18 most volume was coming from asian markets so mass adoption steps like this may result in a new massive bull run soon.

At least we saw good news! Mass adoption will give more power to this industry and big states like Japan are acting more different than others. Major steps will lead to success and one day future will give the rights that cryptocurrencies deserve.

Good to read that japan really believes in crypto.
It reaffirms me that crypto will be our future.
Hopefully mass adoption will continue in other countries.

Should we participate more than projects from Japan?
Japan is one of the leading countries in the economic, BTC was born by a Japanese man and they are pioneering in accepting payment by cryptocurrency.

After many merchants last year leaving cryptocurrency as one of their payment options I hope this start another wave of adoption the two companies are giant in the retail industry, one of the reasons why people will again trust Cryptocurrency is when big companies started adoption cryptocurrency again.

Asia can really move the cryptocurrency market from the place, but I still do not count on Japan or India, but on China, because if China begins to actively develop the blockchain industry, then cryptocurrencies will be difficult to stop.

Really happy that Japan is pushing crypto into the mainstream everyday life. Also, the fact that Samsung has implemented Ethereum wallet into the S10 is a really awesome step in the right direction Smiley. I really hope that Asian countries keep pushing crypto forward. Smiley

I do have high hopes from the asian region regarding mass adoption of crypto and blockchain technology as generally people from this part of the world are the first to adopt new or advanced technology so yes asia do have key role in adoption of crypto and also in bringing back the lost volume back in the market.

Japan has always impressed me with its striving for innovation and cryptocurrencies are also not disappointing. Such news is a major step towards mass adoption. I hope other countries will take Japan as an example in this direction.

Japan is a technology center that is currently trending, so Japan will prioritize blockchain as in its field, this will be a motivation for other countries.

If we could be seeing things like this in a daily basis, Cryptocurrencies would go mainstream in no time, articles like this are why I do not joke with Asian projects, they are the leaders of this crypto space.
