I have predicted Everything right what You People argued here?
So Where is my merits?

You didn't predict anything, your head is full of conspiracy theory without any solid evidence of what you're writing about. In March this year, you predicted a war in the Middle East over oil, here we are still waiting for it to happen, so we can reward you with a lot of merits Roll Eyes

8842  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin scam website bigwinpro.cc. lost 5.5 BTCs on: October 23, 2020, 11:21:16 AM
Unfortunately, you fell into a classic trap and now there is almost nothing you can do, except try to report the whole thing to the police, because EUR 50 000 is really not a small amount. No offense, but how did it even occur to you to transfer so much money to a complete stranger, was that Chinese woman really that handsome and convincing?

Don't rely on those companies that promise to give you your money back, you'll just experience a new financial loss - it's a fact. What you can do is help others not to fall into the same trap, and you can do that in the part of the forum that is dedicated to just such things. You can move this thread to Scam Accusations (check for move button), and then edit your post following this Scam Report Format.

All I can say is that I'm really sorry that scammers succeed in such simple scams, and that one day they will be caught or that life will punish them in some other way.
8843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How and where invest 500€ on: October 23, 2020, 10:55:24 AM
cryptoaddictchie, when I first became more seriously interested in cryptocurrencies I started with Dogecoin because I could get it hundreds a day through faucets and it was a nice feeling to have thousands of coins, yet it wasn’t that easy to collect 1 BTC or maybe buy it. Even today, every beginner thinks about how difficult or almost impossible it is to own 1 BTC, but on the other hand they are given the opportunity to buy some BTC forks for relatively little money, or to own some aforementioned altcoins that cost around $4- $5.

The thing is of course in psychology and small/large numbers, because if we ask a beginner if he wants to invest 500 EUR and buy 0.04 BTC or buy 150 DOT for the same amount, most will still opt for the latter. Especially if someone pushes them in that direction, and if you go to the altcoins boards, everything is full of promising projects and everyone claims that they are the best for investing.
8844  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 25th Word in Nano Ledger S on: October 23, 2020, 10:35:54 AM
Yea when I do things, I am very careful with it.  So with this... im a bit hesistant because say i type in the 25th Word, well i have to make sure its correct and look at it few times.  Also i can't make it way too long otherwise it would be me looking at it over and over again.

No offense, but there is a big difference between being cautious and being paranoid. I quoted a passage from the Ledger site that tells you very clearly what exactly it is about, and for whom this feature is intended. If you think you need that extra protection then just do it, so how complicated is it to add one word or PIN to an existing seed?

But would a passphrase like the ones i mentioned above be decent though?  I obviously need to make sure its easy to remember.  But if you put a very simple passphrase like the word motorola to make it simple, would it be easy for someone to brute force it assuming they have the whole word list but just missing the passphrase?  Or would someone think wait a minute... this might not even be the seed after typing all the words?  I assume most ppl dont know about this 25th Word right?  Thing is had I set this up sooner like originally, I would feel much more safer in a way.

It is never wise to rely only on your memory, what if an accident happens to you and you lose your memory? Passphrase should be such that it cannot be brute force easily, therefore you will write it down on a piece of paper and save a few copies separately from your seed.

I definitely want this passphrase in addition... but concerned i might mess something up in the process...

The thing is pretty simple, you just need to follow the tutorial from the Ledger site - but if you are not sure what you are doing it is quite normal that you can mess something up.
8845  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shit Hits the Fan: Australia joins US, India and Japan in Naval Exercise on: October 22, 2020, 02:12:58 PM
The European Union is not participating
Which could indicate the EU leans in favor of global communism and is a strong ally of china.

Should the EU be involved in something that is happening on the other side of the world? How much would it cost to send military forces to one such military exercise?

What should not be forgotten is that it was the Chinese who saved the EU in the last recession with huge amounts of money by entering various companies in countries that were or still are among the most influential in the EU (UK, Germany, France).

How much of Europe does China own?

A war between the united states and china could already be rigged in china's favor
Its gotten to a point where america defeating china in a military conflict is no longer guaranteed.

I would not agree that China would risk a world war at this time or in the near future, because retaliation would be not only from the United States, but from all its allies - and China is not up to it, despite all its achievements and technological developments.

Lorence.xD , WW3 is something that has been successfully sold (in the yellow press) for more than 70 years - I've heard about it all my life and believe me that such a war is not in anyone's interest. I have personally experienced one war in my life, and I can tell you that it is hell on earth, and WW3 might be the end for humanity given the atomic/chemical/biological arsenal we possess today.
8846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 22, 2020, 01:43:43 PM
The idea that everyone who owns a BTC should be their own bank is basically correct, but let's be honest and admit that most are not ready for that responsibility (for now), and that those who will temporarily bridge the gap between a classic bank and an idea be your own bank just one way or another helping Bitcoin become available to an increasing number of people.

I've had PP for years, I've never had a problem with them - all I had to do to verify the account was add my bank card - and I think it's a lot easier than going through verification on one of the crypto exchanges. So PP will really allow hundreds of millions of users to buy and sell BTC, and use it to pay in all places where PP is available(with conversion to fiat of course), and that's a really big deal, in my opinion much bigger than BTC futures and things like that.

After all, banks in the EU (Germany) and the US have been given permission to buy, sell and store crypto, funds like Grayscale are buying huge amounts of BTC, and companies are transferring their fiat reserves to BTC. If anyone has dreamed of a real adaptation, this is just proof that it is really happening - but this is just the beginning - in few years no one will ask if you have a BTC for sale, but if you have a few thousand satoshi Cheesy
8847  Other / Meta / Re: September/October signature campaign season? on: October 22, 2020, 01:06:03 PM
I was in the bitmixer campaign, which paid out in BTC and never changed the amount too, and that was $10-15 a week for a long time.

I was also a member of the Bitmixer signature campaign, but only when Lauda took it over from the bot (yes the campaign was without a manager), and pay rate was 0.0007 BTC per post (max. 0.035BTC/week), and since time line is end of October 2016 price of BTC was around $700. So the maximum you could get was about $25 a week, but when we look at the payout in BTC it's almost identical to what CM pays today, with the difference that CM has kept its pay rate in BTC until today, while no one else is even close to following it - but because of that they do not achieve good results. No campaign that lasts 2-4 weeks, which pays very poorly, can not expect a good promotion, that is a fact.
8848  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 25th Word in Nano Ledger S on: October 22, 2020, 12:43:06 PM
The "best way" do to this, would be to go to ledger.com and check their FAQ on how to set it up.
Or google it, there are tons of tutorials available.

Considering the way jerry0 approaches things like this, I would advise him not to play with something so sensitive, because after all, this feature is for more experienced users who don’t need a week to insert 24 words into their new hardware wallet. After all, in addition to additional seed protection, this method is important for those who want to protect themselves in the event of a physical attack.

Set up a passphrase to add a layer of security to your crypto assets. This option is only recommended for advanced users. Carefully read this article before setting up a passphrase. The recovery phrase and passphrase functionalities enable a range of security setups. You may use them to design the security strategy that meets your personal situation. Please do not overcomplicate things, the best security setup is one that you master and can execute with confidence.
8849  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-10-15] 10% of all bitcoins are concentrated on five exchanges on: October 22, 2020, 12:32:17 PM
Well, ironically he is quite right at this moment.
Before, even if an exchange was located in mainland China the coins were the property of customers who could have been from all over the world, but at this point, with Star Xu having all the cold storage keys (according to rumors) and being held in a Chinese prison, at this point China as a state really has a lot of coins in its pockets.

I don't believe that exchange would do such nonsense, one man alone cannot have complete control over all the BTC, and I believe that he is just one of those who have one of the multisig keys. Even if by any chance he is the only one who has access to cold storage it does not necessarily mean that he will agree to hand over those keys just like that, unless they convince him with some well-known methods of persuasion that it is impossible to say no.

I doubt it, but if they really seize those coins this bull run is done for, with the bright side being that people will think twice before storing their coins elsewhere than their own wallets.

If people did not learn anything after Mt.Gox and similar events, then I am sure that this case would be forgotten very quickly. Let's hope that nothing bad will happen in this case, and even if the Chinese authorities come into possession of a cold wallet, it is still someone's property, and they will not be able to just dump coins on market.
8850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How and where invest 500€ on: October 22, 2020, 10:56:46 AM
Im surprised there is no bitcoin and ethereum on your suggestion. Among your suggested list I have three of those except social good which I never heard of.

You should not be surprised, beginners always go the line of the least resistance and invest in altcoins which are of course cheaper and of course promise xxx return on investment in a very short time as they are revolutionary and much better than BTC. The same old story that keeps repeating itself, and someone posted an image with CMC a few years ago with all those altcoins that almost disappeared in 90% of cases - and that's what awaits the above-mentioned.

If something has no purpose and meaning then it cannot survive in the long run, and the only reason such projects are created is that it is a very easy way for individuals to get rich literally overnight. Create a coin, put some money in advertising, catch as many fish in net to pump coin price, dump your coins and try to repeat that again = profit.

Thanks for the kind words! If anyone wants to place banners with the new logo we're more than happy to make one in their preferred dimensions.

You're welcome Wink

Maybe you could make a few standard sizes and post them in a post with a new avatar, and I would like a size of 468x60. Today it is very difficult to expect someone to promote something for free, have you perhaps considered a signature or avatar campaign?
8852  Other / Meta / Re: September/October signature campaign season? on: October 22, 2020, 10:24:22 AM
I was just about to write the similar thing, as I noticed lately people that are probably not good enough for altcoin campaigns are easily getting into BTC campaigns.

The criteria have dropped significantly whether some want to admit it or not, and a larger number of signature campaigns only means that the opportunity must be given to those who would not otherwise have a chance - because slots must be filled.

I keep hearing from veteran members that campaigns used to pay much more. What was the reason for that? Was it simply due different market situation, high demand for posters pushed the price or something else?

It’s true that campaigns used to pay much higher amounts a few years ago, and then those amounts got smaller and smaller - and as far as I can see the main role in that is played by campaign managers because they probably suggest to the advertiser what pay rates to set, and each advertiser will refer to those prices that have already been set, because why pay a Hero/Legendary member $100 per week, if all campaigns pay $40- $60 for the same thing. If a common position of all managers would be created that prices must go up, and that this must be accompanied by the quality of content, I believe that advertisers would agree to the new conditions.

Shitposters can not join any good campaigns today with one line posts. The ugly style is shitposters try to make their posts look informative by sketching it with non-sense vocabularies and grammar is broken. They don't know how to make succinct posts and don't want to try it.

What about those who post 2 lines, or those who write nonsense without reading anything but the OP and the title (like the example I posted)? Not only these have become acceptable, but they get bonuses for their posts...
8853  Other / Meta / Re: September/October signature campaign season? on: October 21, 2020, 04:04:41 PM
So, what do you guys think about this?

In my opinion, the problem is not in the number of campaigns, but in the fact that there are almost no quality members to fill them, so the criteria have been lowered considerably. Accordingly, pay rates are very low and I wonder how to motivate someone (especially Legendary/Hero members) to post quality for $30 or $50 a week?

Here is just one example I saw today, so ask yourself what this member is doing in one of the better paid campaigns? Writing a post like this after 2 pages of discussion is just proof of what I wrote above.

8854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 21, 2020, 03:39:47 PM
Paypal is trash. People talk about how scammers use Paypal. But forget that scammers created Paypal too.

How can someone cheat you if you pay for something using PP? Everyone as a buyer has the right to file a complaint within 180 days from the date of purchase and if the complaint is justified the money will be returned to the owner. Try to do the same with the BTC transaction and you will see what scammers prefer more, PP or BTC. I will always look for a way to pay something with BTC, but if I judge that the transaction is risky then of course I will protect myself which is quite normal if I do not want to lose money.

As for this news, there is no doubt that this is a very big thing for BTC because BTC payment will become available in every place where PP is available. Here we are talking about as many as 346 million active accounts that currently exist on PP, and there is no doubt that this move will mean a lot for the adaptation of Bitcoin.
8855  Economy / Reputation / Re: User 'mbahokey' cheating on the campaign by the copy-pasting article from others on: October 21, 2020, 10:52:44 AM
Unfortunately bounty campaigns are filled with cheaters and it's hard to stop them all 100%.

Although the user in question is not a newbie, what is not logical for me at all is that newbies are accepted in bounty campaigns without even writing a single forum post. If we want less cheating than we should change some minimum requirements for such campaigns, but the rule of quantity instead of quality still applies here. I must admit that I do not envy at all those who deal with bounty management, no matter how much they are paid for their services.
8856  Economy / Services / Re: Anonymous crypto loadable bitcoin debit card - No KYC - Private Card Services on: October 21, 2020, 10:38:50 AM
The cards are anonymous for those who are using them, that is the main point. As it has been discussed already, we are not using anyone's identity, account is opened with person's consent.

Can you explain why opening such bank accounts is done exclusively online and with the use of VPN? While it is possible to have legal documents and consent from those people that their bank cards are used in this way, why are you hiding the trail and opening bank accounts using a VPN? Of course, I'm not writing this just like that, I know for sure that accounts are opened this way.
8857  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Spending-bitcoin.com - The biggest directory of online stores accepting Bitcoin! on: October 21, 2020, 10:20:40 AM
It is good to see that you are still active and that you are working on improvements, because projects like this are mostly shut down after a few months. What is important to emphasize is that your site has no advertising, and it is strange that someone pays something like this out of their own pocket - which means that it only works for the benefit of the crypto community.

I still support your project in my own little way, and if someone says they have nowhere to spend their BTC I am happy to refer them to your site. By the way, I like the new logo - maybe it would be a good idea to make banners as well.
8858  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What requirements are you looking for in a gambling site you might want to try? on: October 21, 2020, 10:00:16 AM
I would like to know what are the things you look for in a crypto casino.
What makes you want to play that crypto casino instead of the other ones ?

To begin with, the most important rules should be very clearly stated before registration, and this includes a list of countries that have been accepted, whether KYC is needed and what is not allowed on the site. I think transparency would help to avoid many embarrassing situations that result from users not knowing something, or simply not being aware that something is not allowed.

If there is a dispute about something, and most often it is a withdrawal of funds - then it can not happen that the matter is ignored or pushed under the carpet, while maintaining a reputation at the same time. If someone is fair and correct to the users, they will come back, which only means that the gambling site will profit in the long run, and the users themselves will promote it through affiliate links.
8859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How and where invest 500€ on: October 21, 2020, 09:37:21 AM
If you're asking us where to invest your money, then you're probably not ready to invest.

Precisely because there is a high chance that such an investment could sooner or later result in a loss, not only if the money is invested incorrectly, but also if the purchased crypto is stored in the wrong way. As some others suggest, it would be logical to first invest some time in education and then decide whether it is a short-term or long-term investment. If the OP wants to trade on a daily basis it is only logical to keep its funds on a crypto exchange, and if he wants to invest long term, then he should invest in a hardware wallet or learn how to make a cold wallet.

There is no magic guide that can teach someone which coin to invest in, when to buy or sell - Bitcoin is the only thing I personally believe in, but let everyone do with their money what they want.
8860  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-10-15] 10% of all bitcoins are concentrated on five exchanges on: October 21, 2020, 09:15:47 AM
The most interesting thing here is 2 out of the 5 exchanges are mainly operating in China which only means that China as a country alone is one of the active countries that is involve in Bitcoin.

We all know that crypto trading is officially banned in China, and Hong Kong still has a special status. Specifically of these 2 exchanges to which you refer Houbi today declares itself as a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange with offices in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and the United States. OKEx is on the other hand a company that is relocated to Malta in 2018, although it has an office in Hong Kong.

Therefore, what China allows is crypto mining for the reason that it solves excess electricity, the country receives cash from the sale of BTC, and a large profit is made from the production and sale of mining equipment. All this is completely controlled and does not jeopardize the national currency.
