901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC really survives over the next days... on: May 18, 2017, 06:38:10 AM
Ha Ha Ha. Another BTC obituary, probably number 100000000000 so far. Oh yes, it will survive. Not only that, we ll see $2k quite soon. Once we finally get SegWit, we ll see $3k.

Just be patient and get as much coins as possible. This is a once in the lifetime opportunity.

About dedicated home IP for MN
I read on one forum that having a dedicated IP you are in fact becoming a potential victim of various attacks with a very high risk.

Having MN and dedicated IP is actually a death sentence for your computer and all your coins.

One user wrote that when the dedicated IP was activated, he had a persistent infection a few minutes later with all known Wana decrypt0r 2.0 worm
While he did not even launch the browser and did not download files from the network!
Yes, it was a vulnerability in Windows and it was able to remove it with the help of Windows updates.
but!
In this situation, I would not have decided to run MN, because the viruses are improving and new ones are appearing.
It is necessary that you come to this issue very seriously!

I think you need to find another solution for dedicated IP for Windows users.

It will be extremely cruel to lose all of your coins because of this dedicated IP.

This is a normal solution.
For a dedicated IP, there is always an alternative.
These are paid proxy addresses or VPN, VPS service

I'm talking about a home server on Windows 7 or 10
Need a detailed step-by-step plan on what to do
Personally, I've never encountered vpn, vps

VPS s an option, very easy to set up, basically it s like accessing another computer via Teamviewer. You see another screen with everything you install on that machine, including any security software you might require. It s quite cheap and something I really like to use.

Do not worry about this, there will be a detailed guide prepared for all this. DMD team highly value our community, that s why this coin is strong and it will become even stronger. Nobody will be left behind. Just make sure to acquire and store every single coin you can. We ve doubled in price in a period of about a year time. I m sure we ll do this again.....and again!

How about you try their support? There re always a few mods available on the chatbox and they re quite active and help out, not to mention several support links on the website.
904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit INVESTBOX on: May 18, 2017, 06:18:40 AM
This is a bit different from margin lending. Unless I see a clear explanation where do profits for this investbox come from, I dont think I ll even consider touching it.

"Special fund" explanation s simply not good enough for me.
905  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Freebitco.in as a wallet? on: May 18, 2017, 06:15:19 AM
That fee s simply not enough to justify the risk of funds being stolen. They d have to more then double that rate for people to consider using them seriously as a wallet.

Even then, it would be a big IF.

It seems it s time for a nice little rebound. Sell price graph s so steep which suggest nobody sane sells at these price. Nobody but bots.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WOW!!! New Record 200622 Unconfirmed Transactions on: May 17, 2017, 11:43:25 AM
I just dont understand how big miners who block SegWit do not understand they will fuck up BTC this way, their main source of profits. For us, users, it s very easy to switch to some altcoin.

Dear miners, the balls is on your side of the court.
908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmixer.io Missing Funds on: May 17, 2017, 06:32:26 AM
Quick question, why do you use Bitmixer in the first place, assuming your coins re legit? What are you trying to hide?
909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are paying miners $5000, undeservedly on: May 17, 2017, 06:30:51 AM
i've just realized that the amount of total fee that we are paying miners because of the size of mempool these days has exceeded 2.5BTC and is nearing 3BTC.
that is about $5000 that miners are receiving undeservedly just because they are not adopting the scaling solution!

that is 24% of what they gain from block reward (12.5BTC=$2200)

Well, that s one of the reasons most of Chinese miners still refuse SegWit solution. However, this will correct itself. People will stop transacting or even start selling BTC if there re serious technical diff. Miners will have to cave in or their primary source of income will be destroyed.

Who ll want BTC you cant move cause of high fees?
910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Coin Cap on: May 17, 2017, 06:28:47 AM
Must admit - I love the fact that there is a cap on total amount of Bitcoin. This should (in theory) increase the value of each Bitcoin, especially if more and more people want some Bitcoin  Smiley

Really? Well, that s kinda the reason 95% of people invest into BTC and this is what causes price increase, dis-balance between supply and demand.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: May 16, 2017, 03:46:45 PM
Hi,

I have all my FCT on poloniex and I would like to keep them on a desktop wallet. I have read that the best ones are Enterprise wallet and papermill.

I am not a tech guy so always I am struggling seting up the wallets. Which one of them is easier to install?

I need to buy a laptop and which one is recommended, pc or apple? are the wallets compatible with both of them?

Thanks!

Well, papermill is a cold storage option, no GUI at all. Enterprise wallet is a classic wallet where you can send and receive factoids. However, I suggest to keep that one on offline storage device at all times.
912  Economy / Securities / Re: [Crypto-Games.net] Investment Returns, Updated weekly, Week 17, +13.04% in BTC on: May 16, 2017, 07:37:11 AM
That is good, but I would like to see another security measure, only few sites use this one: You set a withdraw address on your account, what means you can't withdraw to any other addresses. If someone hack you, they won't be able to change the withdraw receiver.
You need to confirm every withdrawal you issue via a link sent to your registered email.
If someone was to get access to your account, and tries to withdraw any funds, you'll receive the mail, and be abled to block any account activity until you've recovered full control.

Yes, this protects users from being hacked to a certain extend. However, the first thing which comes to my mind is what if the website goes down due to a hack or intentionally. How long have they been around?
913  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining and Trades on: May 16, 2017, 07:34:30 AM
Genesis Mining, you ll never reach ROI, NO WAY.

Hashflare, potentially possible but it ll take lots of reinvesting.

Never heard about the third one.
914  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stop-Limit at Poloniex on: May 16, 2017, 07:33:28 AM
There have been some issues with Polo stop-limit recently. I guess they have fixed up everything now. Please do double check this before using ti.

Can you share any info about this new upcoming platform you ve been developing? What is it going to include and how is it going to be different from the current platform?
916  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Payza now lets members hold Bitcoin in their Payza accounts on: May 15, 2017, 07:41:49 PM
A very nice move from Payza, this is something which should put you in front of Paypal, at least in the eyes of crypto community. What re your fees?
917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | Hybrid Security | 25% PoS on: May 15, 2017, 09:51:32 AM
By going full PoS/masternode DMD will join current trends in crypto industry which follow all great coins, Dash, Nem, Ether s going PoS as well.
PoW mining is a relic of the past, it s got environmental and security issues, it wastes energy and I believe we should adapt to these new trends.

Also, with masternodes, regular PoS and DMD multipool system, there re several ways to make new DMD while maintaining scarcity of this great coin. If you insist on PoW mining, you can always use DMD multipool and transfer your hash into DMD via Nicehash.

All in all, it s obvious DMD s going to be even more valuable in the future, I urge people to take this into calculation.
918  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Have you guys used xCoins.io ? on: May 15, 2017, 06:25:17 AM
fees are high as expected, but it's working.

Have you ever had issues with Paypal charge backs and if this does happen, what then?

Knowing Paypal policy towards cryptocurrencies, if you do mention BTC, you ll lose that dispute immediately.
919  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin recovery on: May 15, 2017, 06:20:29 AM
Well, that s nice to hear, if this is true.

I m sure there are some great people inside our miraculous crypto economy.

Also, I d suggest you share advises about protecting your wallets Dave gave you so fewer people get into this unpleasant situation.
920  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to build Web bitcoin wallet service on: May 15, 2017, 06:13:46 AM
You want to have people trust you with thousands or millions of their funds and you want to do that by using an online scrypt?

How? Why? I sincerely hope you re 13.
