901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Bitcoin Decision is Piling On on: October 15, 2017, 08:16:01 PM
I guess they didn't take to the putincoin Cheesy
They won't be able to destroy bitcoin though, too many crypto geniuses in Russia. Or perhaps there are trying to raise the value of ETH and WAVES.
902  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Help: Bitcoin Exchange Shutdown on: October 15, 2017, 08:06:11 PM
I wasn't aware of any bitcoin exchanges shutting down, care to tell us which one it is? If it's a small new exchange, it was probably a scam. Unlikely that you will get them back Sad
903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy when the BTC falls? on: October 15, 2017, 07:59:39 PM
Go into altcoins like NEO which will inevitably rise after the bitcoin fork. Timing is everything, professional traders will get it right, but the rest of us will have to get in almost at the right time!
904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: October 14, 2017, 07:54:36 PM
If the security is broken by a cryptographic wizard then the value will drop down to zero. Unbroken for now, but who's to say it can't be done in the future.
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin on: October 14, 2017, 07:43:59 PM
Would be great to see a global hotel chain accepting bitcoins, it would mean global travel without having to convert to cash or using credit cards.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi controlling 500'000 BTC on: October 14, 2017, 07:24:08 PM
Hi guys,

what do you think about Satoshi controlling 1/20th of all Bitcoins?

I don't care if Satoshi is a real person or not, but if it's true, I think it's a problem if a group o people can controlling so much money.

Take care
F

There is no point for him in selling these as the price would immediately plummet to zero!

Please explain.

(I already know you can't)

What should I explain ? This is very simple reasoning here. Any holder who sees one bitcoin moving from satoshi's addresses (right he could sell the whole address) will immediately panic sell.

LOL, it is true though - they will assume 1 million bitcoins will flood the market. One thing will be verified though, satoshi is still alive!
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why do you think satoshi nakamoto kept his identity as a secret? on: October 14, 2017, 07:00:59 PM
He or she created an anonymous form of payment so perhaps this person is real big on privacy. Then came Monero, Dash, XSPEC, etc.. which are even more private!
908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 14, 2017, 06:50:31 PM
I guess it depends if you're a real gambling person or like to play it safe. If you can live without money for a long time then go for it, BTC just keeps on rising! If you have to pay for things yourself, then don't risk it.
909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN AS PAYMENT FOR ONLINE GAMES on: October 14, 2017, 06:43:13 PM
There are dedicated altcoins that you can get for those purposes e.g. mobilego for mobile games, or SKINCOIN for various dota/CS skins. Some games have their own dedicated currency specifically for that one game
910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is officially considered as a payment method by French Government on: October 14, 2017, 06:28:09 PM
Are they just talking about it or is it accepted as an official payment method? As a key player in the EU it might have knock on effects around the continent
911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we know for sure exchanges giving BTCGold ? on: October 14, 2017, 06:21:34 PM
You can get some bitcoin on the Binance exchange, they will handle the bitcoin gold process on your behalf and allocate the BTG to your account.
912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: October 14, 2017, 05:40:25 PM
Part-time work for BTC is a good idea, keeps a stable income plus a bit extra on the side. Leaving full time work is a gamble, but if it's a btc based business then why not, it's as good as any other business.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: October 14, 2017, 05:33:09 PM
I guess it depends on where you live. If the cost of living is low then yes it is possible as 1 big trade can earn enough to last several days.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost 95 Bitcoin on: October 14, 2017, 05:26:00 PM
It will be hard to follow the news when you see articles saying how much bitcoin has risen in value. Get an investigator to check it out and hope for the best.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Goverment is not recommending to use digital currency such a bitcoin? on: October 14, 2017, 05:13:21 PM
What would happen if the taxes the government receive starts to drop dramatically due to the widespread adoption of bitcoin? Can you imagine the chaos it would cause!
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Man Sold It All For This One Thing and Made Hundreds of Dollars Overnight on: October 14, 2017, 05:03:25 PM
I have confidence in Crypto but going all in with everything including your house is madness. Downsizing your house and spending the rest on bitcoin would have been less of a risk.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've just been hacked!! :-( on: October 14, 2017, 04:42:35 PM
Do a malware and anti-virus scan on your computer, and also empty the data on your internet browser. Lots of bad people around in the crypto world  Angry
