904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current bitcoin debit cards options and experience? on: April 16, 2014, 11:30:26 AM
It appears that only one is taking users, and they are the only one that have revealed their rate which is 10%.
10% is just ridiculous, if it was just a flat fee, I'd think about it though.

Yes, like for 5 bitcoins = $5200 transaction you would need to pay BTC 0.5 = $260 fee? really ridiculous.
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Avaaz to accept bitcoin on: April 16, 2014, 11:26:34 AM
Yesterday I received an E-Mail from Avaaz: They want my Money for some charity. After taking a quick look at the Website, I realized they are using either Wire/SEPA or PayPal. Since it's mostly Micro Transactions it would be perfect to use BTC.
Now I was thinking about writing them an E-Mail, but I do not really know, what to write them. I am not sure, if I am the right Person for that. If I overflood them with links to Websites nobody might read it. If I give them to less Information, they might not see the advantage. I don't have any experience about how to implement BTC-acceptance on a Website(I am pretty sure, it is quite easy).
Any suggestions on what to write in a first E-Mail?

I also thought about starting a Petition on their own website, but that should also include some(but not too much) information.

If  you really want to give some why paypal is a bad option? And what is micro transaction under $1? so the fee would be just few 10 cents isnt much anyway.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Merchant acceptance is NEGATIVE for bitcoin" on: April 16, 2014, 11:22:22 AM
That doesn't sound right. Logically price should go up not down.

908  Economy / Speculation / Re: OMG!! BTC KEEPS GOING HIGHER!!! on: April 16, 2014, 09:59:17 AM
wow the price is fluctuating furiously this is so exciting and nauseating at the same time..  I honestly feel like I'm on a roller coaster right now.
Yep i've been watching charts for a while and it's up and down up and down...

Yes, but the ups are bigger than downs so we can say that in conclusion it's rising.
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Is anyone else tired of hearing bad Bitcoin news ?! on: April 16, 2014, 09:50:03 AM
I'm getting a bit bored of countless bad news stories regarding Bitcoin that are mostly pointless or just stating the obvious.

Has anyone got any good news ?

It's really hard to predict. If you have money and believe into bitcoin, just buy few of them or wahtever buget you have for it and wait... and see what you'll have after 2-3 months.
910  Economy / Economics / Re: Empirical/mathematical method to choose which cryptocurrency community to join on: April 16, 2014, 09:47:57 AM

912  Economy / Economics / Re: losing faith on: April 16, 2014, 09:44:09 AM
If you have some extra money exactly for bitcoins buy few of them and hold them without headache doesnt matter if they fall or rise. If you want to invest into bitcoin you'll lose or get alot more. Nothing more to predict here.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Day For Bitcoin Sharing on: April 16, 2014, 09:32:41 AM
seems the bitcoin is falling again but he is rising more then falling right now so we can say it's generally rising.
914  Economy / Speculation / Re: $520 Breakout on: April 16, 2014, 07:41:18 AM
Glad I got in at a good price earlier! If you missed buying at <$400 it isn't too late since even $520 will seem extremely cheap soon.

If it goes up like now we'll have $600 tomorrow, buy buy buy...

920  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your view on cannabis? on: April 15, 2014, 06:04:50 PM
Good. If it was legal the world would be a MUCH happier place, without wars.

Not really, MJ is not for everyone. If it would be legal in all the world it would do more harm then good. But it's legal in some places so who really need it gets it.

That it is legal doesn't mean you have to use it.
And not everyone who wants to use it be able to travel somewhere where it is legal...

But everyone would atleast try it.
