I think what i have understood and analysed is that trx is better hype wise at the moment, recent movements also support this argument and i think it has big potential in coming months, while xvg is undergoing long bear trend.

I will somewhat agree with you, coins with big supply do not have great chances to moon to big values very quickly, we do have an example of ripple with billions in supply to reach even $1 it took like 3-4 years of time, but yes overall roi is still great as it was under a penny when it listed on exchanges.
