UPDATE on the GOLD: We hope to start production on these gold coins soon, but we’re still waiting on a few pre-order payments to arrive before we can pay the mint. If you’ve reserved coins but haven’t sent the funds yet, I’ll be sending you a PM today to check on the status. (No real hurry, but we can’t start production until all the pre-order funds arrive. I'm sure you understand.) Thanks again, everyone, for supporting bitcoin and The Bitcoin Penny Company. Regards, Chris

Much better chance of pulling an expensive mini Cryptocurrency such as Brooklyn Back, NNO, or Glow-in-the-Dark with the Ginter X boxes. Plus the added chance to pull a mini black, red, or silver. Ginter X is where it’s at. Gotta see if there are any available still. Regards, Chris

I still don't understand what makes the Bullpen Car or the Samesong Park cards even the least bit special. I'm willing to accept Solar Eclipse and Bomb Cyclone as part of an unofficial 2017 Historic Event Series (along with Cryptocurrency), but why is anyone here collecting the Bullpen Car or Samesong Park cards? Please explain.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words and for voicing your thoughts on our (as Fattcatt calls it) "funny flip" orientation experiment. We always appreciate feedback — good or bad. Once all the pre-order payments are received, we'll start the minting process. (We hope to start by the end of next week.) Thanks again for supporting bitcoin and The Bitcoin Penny Company. Regards, Chris PS — Congratulations on your first "win," Fattcatt. We're proud to be a part of it.

By my count, there were 47 Premium and 3 Standard books sent out. This is not a "hard" number though, as there were some single sales after the initial distribution and I do have 1 or 2 of them here as well I would gather that there may be in the neighborhood of 60 to 80 books out there total?? for this 1st print Some of the 1st ones shipped had to be resent to me due to damaged corners/improper packing from the printers... this can be seen in the error page in the 2nd print Wait! Are you saying there may be only 3 standard (non-premium / non-red stripe cover) hardback error books in the wild? Regards, Me

With all the missing red (/5), silver (/1), Brooklyn (/25), glow-in-the-dark (/?), and NNO (/?) Cryptocurrency cards as well as the black mini X cards, those sealed Ginter X boxes willl be worth a small fortune someday. What do you think, dolphriends or Mrstacy?
Regards, Chris
Don't be fooled, it is cheaper to buy card you want. Look at odds on page 1 of this thread. 70 dollar boxes are 185 on Ebay. Way too much. To put odds in your favor for black mini, you need 9 boxes at a cost of 1665. That gives you a 51 percent chance for black mini when you can buy one for 600. But.. you might get a. Ohtani printing plate. Lol True, but in addition to the chance of pulling either a full size black or a mini black Cryptocurrency card, you'll also have an opportunity to pull a mini red (/5), mini silver (/1), mini Brooklyn (/25), mini glow-in-the-dark (/?), and mini NNO (/?) Cryptocurrency card. And that's not including any of the same variations of the Solar Eclipse, Marine National Monument, Bomb Cyclone, Bullpen Car, or whatever other cards people are into right now. For $185, it might be worth a shot. Who knows? Just a thought. Regards, Chris

This is why I don't like hosting high end raffles. Anything more than $20/ticket is too rich for my #hobowallet. Good luck, tho. If you feel like a straight sale, then I may be interested. Regards, Chris

COMMUNITY POLL
As you all know, our recent PLATINUM release included a rarer variation. Most of the coins (60/70) were minted in our usual coin-flip orientation. Additionally, 10 coins were minted in the rarer book-turn orientation. (Odd of finding the rarer variation were 1:7.) We thought this might add a fun surprise to the release. However, it's quite natural that some customers may have felt a bit disappointed upon opening boxes only to discover the more common fine platinum coins. While that reaction is understandable and easily empathized, we at the Bitcoin Penny Company believe that ALL unboxing experiences should be full of excitement and happiness with all possible expectations exceeded.
With that said, I would like to invite the community to offer feedback on whether our upcoming 2019 GOLD release should include a few rarer book-turn orientations (10% of the release = 10 coins = 1:10 chance) as with our recent PLATINUM release.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
Regards, Chris

While we're checking pages can you check if this has the image errors on page 150 & 38? Ha! I just checked my only copy, and it's the hardback with the error photos. That's funny stuff. Love it! Edit: There were about 50 of these error books that made it into the wild. I know some of these were printed with the standard colors, I wonder what the breakdown of each is.
Wait! There are two different color editions to the 1st Print error book? OMG. Please explain. This is getting uber confusing. LOL Regards, Me EDIT: Elias' next book should be "The Encyclopedia of the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins and Crypto-Currencies."
