9001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why dump traditional payment options for Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2016, 06:07:26 PM
The fact that you could create an unlimited number of addresses to receive funds without the need of providing any real information's (ID , passport or Residence) makes it a great alternative , another thing would be not having to deal with BS of PayPal or payment methods ...such as connecting into your account using a VPN and getting your money frozen and account limited... you also don't have to worry about chargebacks for 180 days after selling your goods to someone .
9002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 17, 2016, 05:56:12 PM
Tomorrow it starts. Iconomy GO GO GO ... !!!!!!!

I thought It got delayed to 18th and then to 25th October ? I know that Ethereum hardfork should happen either today or tomorow but ICNs should issued should be in 8 days from now. At least , this is what I've been told when I asked a few days ago and could someone please tell me If we should re-download the blockchain (the whole thing) after the fork or not ? I got one answer last time but I want a few confirmations.
9003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can I load my debit card with bitcoins? on: October 17, 2016, 02:47:56 PM
I never used cryptopay personally before but If the generated addresses are unique and are for you and you only (It's not like they move from one person to another like exchanges) , then you could deposit the funds into an address you already deposited into before and they should be added into your account.
I'm not sure though , and It's not really recommended to deposit while having the website under maintenance , you could lose some $.
9004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking For Escrow Service for ICO on: October 17, 2016, 01:21:17 PM
I want to start ICO campaign for my coin ,Please suggest me for any escrow service for ICO campaign

SFR10 should be your option , he is a great campaign manager (I know because I enrolled in some of his campaigns before) , he do both escrow part + design thread & signature BBcodes , you could see his work here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1136108.0
9005  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: October 17, 2016, 12:51:13 PM
URL : blocekchain.info/wallet-legacy/indax.htm

the link above is advertised on Google Adwords and If you only visit the domain name , you will see a JPG picture of the actual blockchain.info wallet lol... It's too dumb but I thought I should report it .

URL : bi0ckchein.info/wallet-legacy/indax.htm

It seems like It's down  (and the first link I gave you got added instead) since It got reported yesterday (but adding it won't hurt as they could comeback) , See here reference : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1650849.msg16586364#msg16586364
9006  Economy / Economics / Re: Megaupload 2.0 & Bitcache - Anyone investing? on: October 17, 2016, 10:13:21 AM
Megaupload 2.0 & Bitcache will probably have MU 1.0 User base + a lot more since he promised to to give old premium users their accounts back. (He still have the old database) , but here is the thing , chances that this project is going to be successful are high , In the other hand It could go down anytime as Kim dotcom still have some legal issues with the U.S authorities and Investors can't afford taking such a risk.
Another reason for why he didn't achieve the minimum goal yet is that he only accepts Bitcoin as a payment method while most of investors prefer to pay using credit cards etc...
I personally didn't invest since I invested in another project (ICONOMI tokens) but I guess MU2 is going to be successful and I hope everyone who invested will get richer. Grin
9007  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoinblender.org SCAM on: October 17, 2016, 08:51:27 AM
Start by following the scam report format first : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0
You should also provide a TXID and a proof that the address you sent to is indeed from Bitcoinblender.org as It could be any address... I have some doubts though as I guess you sent your funds to a phishing website.

As you can see here : http://bitcoinblender.org/ (what you used) & https://bitblender.io/  have similar designs. BitBlender.io is a legit website and also advertised in Bitcointalk forums : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436467.0 while I can't find anything about the website you mentioned so how you find it in the first place ?
9008  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange Poloniex is Insecure, k4s© Security Review Claims on: October 17, 2016, 07:25:27 AM
Support takes time to answer for both reporting security issues & technical issues (withdrawing and deposit etc... ) , It's probably better to tell the mods about it in the Trollbox (or at least give a hint) so other users don't know about it and targets the website.
In the other hand , their issues should be fixed but even If things goes wrong , users should know that most of the funds are in cold storage so It's not going to be big like with Bitfinex or other websites.
9009  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Be careful! www.bi0ckchein.info/Wallet/Login‎ on: October 17, 2016, 06:49:27 AM
I can't understand how you guys are blaming Google for anything , just like Bitcointalk , Google don't moderate scams , they have a better things to do then cleaning their search engines .
Wrong, maybe Bitcointalk does not moderate what is being advertised in signature campaigns but a few months ago Theymos rejected Betcoin's bid on an advertising auction thread after all these scams accusations.
The reason that I am blaming google is that I believe they should reject at least  the obvious and easy to spot scams like this one.

Because It was too risky with all those scam accusations , that's all. Till now , they still have their signature campaign running which is not different from AD slots in the forums. If we take for example bitcoinblackfriday.info , It got advertising in both ad slots & sigs.
Here is the thing , Bitcointalk have only a few websites but Google have billions in their search engines results and probably millions in their ADS , It's simply impossible to check them , Even If they check them , It would be impossible to know It's a phishing attempt unless (whoever is checking) knows the original website (Blockchain.info in this case). Overall , people should start using their brains instead of blaming google or someone else.
9010  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Be careful! www.bi0ckchein.info/Wallet/Login‎ on: October 16, 2016, 08:57:49 PM
Wtf google?! They should have removed this crap from the search engine. What's wrong with them? I hope google don't make money out of this.

Well done google you are doing a great job protecting us from scammers, both ads on the first place of results are scams...
Always be careful when you type an adress,I remember a guy a few weeks ago who wanted to mix his Bitcoins and instead bitmixer.io he typed bitcoinmixer.com and without realising it he sent his coins at this scam site and lost them all of course.

I can't understand how you guys are blaming Google for anything , just like Bitcointalk , Google don't moderate scams , they have a better things to do then cleaning their search engines .
As for the website , It's clearly a scam as nothing works on that page except the login page to lose details. (API , and every other tab isn't working either and same thing goes for recovering ID or creating a wallet). Only someone without a brain wouldn't notice this.
9011  Other / Meta / Re: Sending P.M to yourself ? on: October 16, 2016, 08:38:33 PM
It's just like being able to email yourself. It's useful for saving things that you might need (like a stock response). I have also found this useful for doing some testing with BBCode but without having to make a thread.

I never really thought about it honestly , could those P.M be considered as "valid" If you for example put your address there or your PGP public key instead of stacking it in the usual thread ?
9012  Other / Meta / Sending P.M to yourself ? on: October 16, 2016, 07:47:28 PM
I sent a message to someone , I miss-typed a couple of words so I quoted the message I sent and corrected the words and sent it again. It seems like It got sent to both "the someone" and "OmegaStarScream"(me) for some reasons.

I can't say If It's a bug (If it's the case then It should be fixed) or It's a feature (I don't really see how this could be useful though).
9013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Quantum Computers Spell the Doom of Bitcoin? on: October 16, 2016, 06:47:24 PM
Bitcoin getting destroyed will be probably the least of our problems when those computers are out (for public) . Bitcoin is not the only thing that uses SHA-256 or other hashing algorithms.
Beside , Bitcoin is getting developed each day and I'm pretty sure that at some point ,It would be possible to change the algorithms without screwing everything up. I personally wouldn't be worried about this kind of stuff. To da moon !
9014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "Ask The Doctor" Adds Bitcoin to Payment Options on: October 16, 2016, 06:27:56 PM
Ask The Doctor, a Canadian medical startup has officially announced that they are now accepting Bitcoin on their platform to pay for their services through BitPay. The main reason for this is to increase customer privacy using Bitcoin’s anonymity benefits that credit cards cannot offer.

Here is the source : https://cointelegraph.com/news/online-platform-ask-the-doctor-adds-bitcoin-to-payment-options-to-protect-privacy

It's being sometime since I last read about a new service accepting Bitcoin (probably since Steam started accepting it) , glad to know that there is more services that still does that and hopefully more to come !
9015  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for Worldwide Virtual bitcoin debit card ... on: October 16, 2016, 05:08:59 PM
Hi, I am from Algeria. i am looking for a trusted website that provide Virtual Bitcoin debit card for my country. I did a lot of research without success... Does anyone have an idea ?

Luckily , I'm from Algeria as well and I know how things could be in our country . I'm using E-coin.io (also known as Wirex now) , It's possible to link it with PayPal and withdraw funds from it , It only costs 3$ and the fees are low (you can load it using BTC too) . If you searched little bit in Djelfa.info/vb/ you could've find a lot of options.

I contacted Wirex via email a week ago, they don't issue cards to Algeria.

You asked for "virtual" card (you receive card info in email and not shipped to your house) , they generated random information's for me and you could do the same . As long as you don't reach the card limits , you won't need to verify it using your real information's (ID or passport) .

This is what they said when I contacted them :

Thank you for contacting us.
Unfortunately we cannot issue and ship cards to your country at the moment (neither plastic, nor virtual) - it is a limitation of the card issuing bank and your country financial regulations. We hope to change that in future.

It doesn't really matter what they have told you, I don't think there is virtual cards that accepts bitcoin It's simply because of our government + the banks and I don't think this will change anytime soon.
So , all you could do is make an account with fake information's , as long as you don't surpass the limits of the card , you won't need to verify any information's and you should use it just fine online.
You said you are algerian and a Wirex user, can you Tell me  which country you gave them and how do you get an adress that makes you able to apply for a Virtual card ?

I started using their services in the early days , when they started their company. I asked them If they support Algeria, they said they don't but they hinted for me to use fake information's.
I can't remember for sure since It happens a year ago or something , but I guess I used Fakenamegenerator.com and made an account with that info, the name is "Henri" so I suppose I'm from France or something (when I choosed the country) . (PayPal name & E-coin name doesn't match but It's linked and I can withdraw without problems as I said earlier)

9018  Other / New forum software / Re: Deleting/Disable accounts ? on: October 15, 2016, 06:38:11 PM
Assuming that deleting posts is irreversible and with taking in consideration that moderators don't moderators scams and don't ban scammers, I don't see what would change If someone delete his posts after scamming someone ? It won't change much.
If It's because whoever got scammed can't proof it , then we could simply make Marketplace section posts impossible to delete. (but most of the deals are made in PMs so It's not an issue)

Trivial case - but a user can't delete his posts in the auction board or if he has started a thread (he can edit the thread though). Plus it would make it easier for a scammer to cover his entire tracks quickly, even if he has been a member of this forum for years.

Idea is pretty basic right now and could be develop so It work just fine , If we implement disabling accounts , accounts should still be in the database and admins or mods could recover them.
As for deleting posts , well It's already available right now, this option simply make it quicker while the deleting each post takes sometime.
9019  Economy / Exchanges / Re: best and most cheap VCC for verifying my paypal? on: October 15, 2016, 06:19:09 PM
On this forum I have saw that uquid is giving their VCC at $1. For me that prce is much lower and whenever I will need VCC I will order from them. But I do not know that with their card it will be able to verify your paypal or not.

I got one that, and I selected the country as China because my country is not allowed by paypal, so I also selected china for that vcc but paypal is rejecting my vcc from that service.

I want to verify my paypal account and for that I want to have a best option for a best and cheap virtual credit card. And please provide me the info that for which country I have to order my VCC in order to be acceptable easily when verifying my paypal account?

I'm using E-coin.io (also known as Wirexapp) Virtual credit card (It's a Visa card) , I got mine few months/one year ago and I can say I'm very satisfied about the results , It works just fine and It only costs 3$ (It's available in EURO , USD and GBP) . I'm using E-coin.io while they don't accept my country (Algeria) and my PayPal is from Algeria too , so I don't think countries should match , It should work worldwide.

It will be good but its price is a little higher for me. I want a vcc with $5 or %1 if available any.

I'm not sure I get you right here ? you want something lower then 5$ ? I just told you that E-coin.io card costs only 3$ (and they was giving free cards at some point , I'm not sure If they still giving any , check their blog)
9020  Other / Archival / Re: Scammed by E-Coin.io / wirexapp.com on: October 14, 2016, 12:32:24 PM
I'm using them and I never had any issues personally and when there is technical issues , they are always here to help. It's probably better to post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917350.2420;topicseen and you will get an answer in less then 24 hours for sure. (from gosha@e-coin ) + P.M him with your email in their website , that should make things faster. & As Luptin stated , unless you provide a proof ... you should close this topic.
